For anyone interested, there are two listed on eBay at the moment with quite
reasonable prices.

A pretty decent receiver for those who still enjoy the tactile experience.

They may have pre sunrise authority but that limits them to a max of 500
watts. I have a dead carrier on 1120 this morning at 625am mtn, which is 20
mintues before 645am sunrise for KCRNM according to the FCC. I had them on
the air Friday morning which programming just after 6am.

And yes, they are still ID'ing as KLIM

It would appear 5KW non directional Daytimer KSLL 1080 Price, UT didnât
sign off at sunset Friday March 1st. I matched the country music Iâm
hearing on 1080 to their webstream. This is the first time Iâve caught
them on early(late?) and I can usually hear them then they come on after
sunrise. Iâm about 350 miles away in Laramie, WY

DXpedition after IRCA convention  View Printable Version
Saturday, March 02 2019

IRCA
A loose plan is being developed for a DXpedition to legendary Grayland
Washington after the Seattle IRCA convention in September. While the
dates have not been finalized, it is likely that DXpeditioners will be
there some time between September 8th & 14th. As some know, our former
DX spot (the Grayland Motel) was sold, renamed the Breakwater Inn, and
is undergoing tremendous renovation. The renovation will be completed
in the next few months. We of course don't know if it will remain a
fairly quiet site for DXing but are assuming so for now. We plan to
erect various antennas aimed across the Pacific and hope the approaching
solar minimum will give us a great post-convention DXpedition. For more
information as plans solidify, contact me (Bruce Portzer) at

Not too interesting this morning, though it wasn't a complete washout on the upper band. Lower band mostly peaked early

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

back to normal

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

747 JOIB 1401UT

774 JOUB 1358UT

972 HLCA 1411UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK 1456UT

828 JOBB 1402UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 JOIK //594 1403UT

873 JOGB man //774 1404UT

1557 man talking, Chinese perhaps 1435UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

603 639 1566 seemed to be Asian;

576 585 612 1116 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
