![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) WORLD OF RADIO HITLIST
My latest Hitlist update. http://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm 1) Belgium - R Onda: Added links to this station 2) Madagascar - Madagascar World Voice: Added links for MWV 3) USA - KNLS: Updated home and freq links to point to World Christian Broadcasting web site 4) Vatican - R Vaticana: Updated links to frequencies (thanks to Mike Terry in WOR iog) Unless there's a major change anywhere, the next update will be late June. Best wishes and 73 (Alan Roe, May 31) ** BRAZIL.. 9666.650V, June 1 at 0545, JBA carrier from presumed RVM always off-frequency and varying considerably. Last night was stronger with music but did not get a precise fix on it, I think on the minus side of 9666. Also seems to be the only ZY left on 31m, at least overnight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 13160, June 1 at 1359, S5-S7, pop song to ToH timesignal and off 1400*; another listed CNR1 jammer and SOH frequency, but no sign of the victim. No others in the area (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6060, June 1 at 0556, RHC again absent from this English frequency after 0500, and suspect also absent for Spanish before 0500. Remainders: 6145 S9+20 and suptorted; 6100 S9+40 suptorted; 6000 S9+20 and distorted during music show. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. Bob Biermann replies to my 89.1 Oasis Network log: ``Non coms can use any means to feed a non commercial translator. You can even rebroadcast a station from thousands of miles away.`` Which is what 88.3 had been doing; well, hundreds (Glenn Hauser, WOR) ** U K [non]. 9745V, June 1 at 0550, poor in African language, unstable frequency. Listed as BBC Hausa via AUSTRIA; but maybe substitute site as Ivo reported some Moosbrunns missing. Unlikely Bahrain listed 24 hours (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K [non]. 9455, UT Mon June 1 at 0100, WRMI with Radio Emma Toc, as scheduled now for a few weeks but failed to appear; so first time I`ve heard it. This is the second monthly broadcast. Only a few minutes at first about the 2MT story, to be continued, etc., etc. 0116 excerpt from Wavescan; 0123 about numbers stations such as Lincolnshire Poacher. Several times refers to own website for linx to more about segments --- but there aren`t any! https://www.emmatoc.org/worldservice At least it explain the strange name, which was certainly a poor choice for fonetix: ``Footnote: Why 'Emma Toc' ...? The wireless station was required to read out their allocated callsign '2MT' at regular intervals, & in 1922 the British Army phonetic alphabet of the time was used. 'M' was 'Emma' & 'T' was 'Toc', so '2MT' became 'Two Emma Toc'. The amusing & flippant manner in which Captain Peter Eckersley read out the phonetic version of '2MT' resulted in the station being affectionately known as 'Two Emma Toc'!`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2036 monitoring via Rochester NY KiwiSDR: confirmed UT Monday June 1 at 0130 & 0230 on WRMI 7780, good; 0300.5 on Area 51 via WBCQ 5130, good; 0330 on WRMI 9955, not audible there, but in Colombia atop jamming except during some deep fades. Also confirmed on WRN webcast at 0130. Also confirmed Monday June 1 from 1800:45 or so on IRRS via ???? 7290, monitored on UTwente SDR, VG but usual AACI splatter from 7280/7300? However, off to a rough start: tune-in 1755 only signal is VG Qur`an from Iran, 1756 VIRI Italian opening as ``Radio Italia`` at 1750-1820 on 5925, where it is supposed to be. Heavy collision once IRRS carrier on *1758, making rippling SAH; 1759 bits of music on and off, 1800 IRRS sign-on with Milano PO Box and phone number only; FSN Washington headlines; still clashing as WOR opens, but Iran cut off about 1801:30* and we are in clear past 1829, only the low ``RTTY`` undercurrent also audible. Something`s always SNAFU at Sirjan. Next: 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [off air last week] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Terry Colgan, Austin TX, who sent a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7490.0, May 31 at 2307, WBCQ closer to nominal than usual, S9+25 fading to S7, during Harry Shearer`s `Le Show` --- I would like to hear this every week but the scheduling is very inconvenient, up against 60 Minutes. Modulation is unusually muffled. Topic is how Amazon sends out promotion to TV stations disguised as ``news``, including to OK`s own KOCO. All other `BCQ frequencies are OFF, or inaudible, including the SS on 9330 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5985, June 1 at 0558, Qur`an --- what`s this, new frequency for Algeria via France? Had just heard that on 6125 and 7595 but now they are off. Soon to WRMI canned ID and off 0600*. O yeah, WRMI runs 5985 this late only on UT Mondays with Yeshua show, who probably would not be qool with Qur`an from the World Music fill reel. This WRMI-2 is the only one on the odd azimuth of 222 degrees to Central America, primarily for NHK relay at 0400-0430, also various gospel huxters or DX programs at 0330-0400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5890, June 1 at 0600, WWCR-4 is on not only with dead air but TOM modulation, // 3215 while 4840 has something else altho both supposed to be Overcomer ``Ministy`` or ``Ministries``, while correct word is ``Ministry``. WWCR website only shows transmitter sked expiring May 31, while June 1 is a normal changeover date, so maybe now 5890 intentionally on. Anyway the transmitter skeds covering 24 hours each are only what`s *available*, (5890 at 02-12), not axual usage. For that we need to see the new June pdf program skeds; while May still shows nothing on 5890 except 02-04 UT Tue-Sat non-TOM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 17775-, June 1 at 1442 at first no signal from KVOH but then a JBA carrier; 1904 recheck, definitely on to S9+20 but undermodulated, and in English! not Spanish, about God and COVID-19. May I suggest that the Omnipotent one could eliminate it, poof! if enough believers beg It to (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Local scratchy noise blob survey May 31 after 2300, approx. ranges, peaking not necessarily right in their middles: 6878-7000, 7340-7365, 7680-7730, [8-9 not checked], 9125-9155, 9480-9530, 9830-9885, 10190-10240; the top one weak and none audible higher. Next check at 0543 June 1, still there around approx. 7350, 7705, 9500, 9855. OG&E is searching them out Monday morning/noon June 1. No confirmation yet that he found the source, but seem to be gone by 1900, leaving only general buzz noise level across the bands (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1927 UT June 1 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

A few tips/hints/things to know about logging us. Its a long post, so please read it all. I'm just as excited to DX as I am if someone were to log us. I hope this is useful to someone somewhere sometime. I'm the afternoon DJ there and I can check when I'm at work during the day or if at home, tag me in a post you make in this group and I can remote access our automation from home in seconds. I'd really love to have someone from far away log us and include some audio.. we've never had a DX report! (Please, please include audio,m even if its phone video held up to the radio!) I need to know within 3 days of you hearing us so I can check previous music logs There's an FM in NW Kansas.. KYVZ, also on 106.1 that calls it self Super Hits 106 while KLMI is Hits 106. KYVZ has some jingles, KLMI does not. KYVZ is more classic hits based, KLMI is a very wide AC Variety format with everything from county to pop and oldies to rock with a little in between from the 70s to today. KLMI's slogan is "The Best Music Variety". Legal ID and ABC news is at about 5 minutes after every hour. Local news is at 7am, 12noon and 5pm weekdays. Glenn Hauser logs May 30-31, 2020 |

![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** OKLAHOMA. 89.1-WBFM, May 30 at 2014 UT, 205-watt H&V Enid translator K206CA surprising with gospel song in Spanish, 2017 back to English. Noticed as I am bandscanning futilely for sporadic E DX. This is the Oasis Network, primary KNYD 90.5 Tulsa market, 80/80 kW Broken Arrow. But it can`t be an off-air pickup due to our semi-local on 90.5, KBVV Goltry. Oasis is also on 88.1, 0/50 kW KMSI Moore, more audible here vs KWOU Woodward. There is not a word of Spanish on the Oasis website, unless they be the names of founder David Ingles, depending on how he pronounce them, but his music is in English (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 88.3-WBFM, May 30 at 2015 UT, 250-watt Enid translator K202BY, is spreading out between 87.7 and 88.9 on the DX-398 as I attempt to check ``open`` frequencies for sporadic E DX. WTFDA FM database still has this as a Family Radio satellator of KEBR 88.1 in California! Despite my first report Feb 1 of transfer on the air to KJIL 99.1 Copeland KS, as in ``Jesus Is Love``. Normally it only ruins adjacents 88.1 and 88.5 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SAO TOME E PRINCIPE. 9830, May 31 at 0634, African language under NSS RTTY: it`s DW in Hausa relay at 0630-0700 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, May 30 at 2203, no signal from VOT English to us, just NSS RTTY. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. Local noise blob has fortuitously drifted upward so that only its edge barely bother 9830 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 475.09-CW kHz, May 31 at 0636 UT, Dave Frantz has resumed his very slow Morse code beacon at WWRB Manchester TN, ``WA4SZE COM WA4SZE/BEACON``. I tune past here almost every night, and last time heard was December 10, 2019 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 18150-USB, May 30 at 2200, KJ4BJ, ham in Tennessee in contact with 9Z4AH in Trinidad, unheard. QRZ.com shows antennas and ``KJ4BJ USA flag USA, ROBERT J JORDAN, DAYTON, TN 37321 USA`` at https://www.qrz.com/lookup/kj4bz Sporadic E opening; can`t compare to 15825 WWCR Nashville, which has just gone off, but 13845 is very poor. Dayton is 110 miles ESE of Nashville, roughly between Chattanooga and Knoxville; and site of the infamous ``monkey trial``. 18160-USB, May 30 at 2207, KJ4BJ has QSYed to here, contacting JBA HP9SAM in Panamá; only activity on the band (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28433-USB, May 31 at 1824, good steady ham signal discussing tubes etc. with unheard contact, no calls, overs or beeps, but finally closing at 1833 as ``W6SCC, 10-3``. So sporadic E from California? No: ``W6SCC USA Guy B Coleman, Tucson, AZ 85745 USA``. Mentioned hearing close Colorado on 10m, mode Es? Certainly. Now there is a 70+ MHz MUF over New Mexico or so. Seemed the OSOB until: 28380-USB, May 31 at 1834, even stronger unID ham, S9+20 discussing 10-10 net`s declining membership (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2036 monitoring: still no confirmation from Ivo or anyone of Saturday 1300 on 15770 WRMI; but at least this has finally been entered on the WRMI skedgrid. Confirmed UT Sunday May 31 at 0300 on WRMI 5800, VG S9+10/20. Next nominal airing at 0315 UT Sun on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, much delayed due to open-ended durations of various preceding hamshows: good signal at Indiana SDR, first check at 0302, TWIAR, and then Houston AMSAT; 0402 ARRL news; but WOR in progress at 0427 about 16 minutes into so must have started circa 0411. Next: 0130 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 or 6160v to WSW 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 [jammed] to SSE 0900 UT Monday Unique Radio NSW 3210-USB 1800vUT Monday IRRS 7290 whence? to WNW 594-Italy 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [off air last week] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Terry Colgan, Austin TX, who sent a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, UT Sun May 31 at 0017, WTWW-2 with `Theatre Organ [NOT] In The Ozarx`, in progress, S9+30/40! but suppressed/distorted = suptorted modulation. Probably would be in good clear $ tereo on webcast, but not convenient to access. Last week this show never appeared during 2-hour window (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VIETNAM [non]. 7315, May 31 at 0008, VOV English relay is S9+10 but just barely modulated; WHRI transmitter ailing? Or no one turning up the volume (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 2097.3, May 31 at 0619 UT, single-letter beacon A is JBA in noise level, every dekasecond. Altho a reliable source has assured us it is not heard as a local signal in Quartzsite AZ, I see in classaxe.com it is still placed in Quartzite [sic] with a period of 10.14 seconds, last logged by anyone there 2020-08-05. QZ is about 17 miles from the CA border on I-10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 4875-USB, May 31 at 0021, two tactical calls also exchanging uteblaap traffic, fonetikaly: 40W and ZPM; seems like there has been a MARS net here? No QRM from the 4875 ZY, too early?
