    * 6) Taiwan - RTI: updated link to new programme schedule effective from 1 Oct; added a non-changing landing page link for programme schedules

Hauser
** ARGENTINA. 28193 CW, Oct 25 at 2206, VVV DE LU2DT, beacon, same as
logged Sept 30, q.v. Band is full of beacons and phones (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** BONAIRE. 24955 USB, Oct 25 at 2214, PJ4KY calling QRZ Japan, and
causing co-channel pileups. QRZ.com: ``PJ4KY Bonaire flag Bonaire,
Bert Van Oort, All QSL Via M0URX, Kralendijk, Bonaire`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 28170 CW, Oct 25 at 2204, VVV DE VA3XCD/B, slow beacon
marker repeating, same as logged at same time Oct 14, q.v.; and again,
10m band is chock-full of more beacons and phones (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11529.9, Oct 26 at 0149, JBA signal presumed pirate
Hikari FM. Seldom can I get enough for direct listenability.

6960 AM, also JBA carrier here, since it`s UT Saturday, presumed Ball
Smacker Radio on usual schedule. Stronger than a JBAC on 6925 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27224.8 and 27185.1 approx., Oct 25 at 1454, Enid CB
pirate relaying 105.5 gospel music on K288FX, translator of K-Love,
KYLV 88.9 OKC. Can barely make them out vs all the skip/local QRM
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. Ken Zichi, who also monitors SNR English broadcasts and must
do a lot of post-broadcast online research to get details, identifies
the Lebanon correspondent as: ``Elsa Yazbek Charabati (I guess she got
married!)``.

17855, 17715, 15520, 15390, again on Friday Oct 25 at 2200, REE
continues in Spanish instead of token English, same as happened
Wednesday. Then and now, online program sked still claims it should be
in English today. Despite VG reception on NAm frequency direct, I`m so
pissed I don`t even try to listen for content. What`s going on with
them, blowing away English without notice? I have not paid attn if
they announced email for the English dept., and can`t find it on
website.

Next chance will be Monday Oct 28 at new time of 2300 and frequency
9690, 11940, 12030, 17755. One sked version from REE itself shows
17775, presumably a typo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785+, Oct 25 at *2159.5, JBA carrier cuts on direct from
VOT English, but gone again by 2201 after I check Spain and RMI; and
no come back, another try-but-fail, nothing even unto UTwente at 2227
check; and not on 9875 either, possible overrun from previous
transmission. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2266 monitoring: NOT confirmed

** U S A. WTWW: ``Glenn, A transmitter operator is scheduled to be at
the transmitter site, the first of the year. He and his wife are
excited to be at the site and operate the transmitters. His presence
will eliminate small problems that have prevented normal operation of
the transmitters. Some of these problems cannot be corrected by remote
control. He has started to move his furniture and personal items in. I
will not have to remember your Friday night program and keep the
transmitter ON. George McClintock 10-25-2024`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 9455, Oct 25 at 0635, WRMI-5 is OFF again despite 24-hour
schedule (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. ``Heard Glenn Hauser's World of Radio on 9855 presumed WRMI
0110 UT. Weak and fadey into Crump, TN 10/1 using a small Sihuadon
R108. Kevin Redding, Crump, TN, ABDX``

I just saw this as gmail sidetrax some msgs - surely you mean 9955, a
WRMI frequency? News to me that WOR would be on at that time, 9 pm EDT
Monday, when their sked shows Alameda Bible Fellowship. Can you
confirm or reconfirm this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3265+ & 5130-, Oct 25 at 2358, no signals of WBCQ into
Maryland SDR - NH SDR is closed for some contest. 7490 -66 Hz =
7489.934, S9+10/15, FKB gets one-minute warning and quits, Chariots of
Fire theme, IDs, and 0000 Oct 26 `WTO` opening `AAAWWW`; no disclaimer
but immediately obvious it`s a rerun of last week, as Allan says his
gorgeous wife dresses up for the radio, and they survived H. Milton a
week ago.

Larry Will tells me: ``Good signal, s20, from Monticello on 7490 at
0000, with a repeat of last week's show from Florida. Al and family
suffered a great tragedy this week when the potato barn he owns at the
junction of Route 1 and Britton Road burned to the ground on Monday
night.``

Monticello fire destroys $ 500,000 worth of antique cars
https://thecounty.me/2024/10/23/business-news/monticello-fire-destroys-500000-worth-of-antique-cars/
Story starts with photo and this caption:
``MONTICELLO, Maine -- October 23, 2024 -- A Monday night fire at an
old potato house in Monticello was a total loss. The blaze started in
this end of the building where an office and Sea of Green Inc, a
medical marijuana caregiver business, was located. The second floor of
the building vanished. (Kathleen Phalen Tomaselli | Houlton Pioneer
Times)``
``1 comment Ronald Ouellette a day ago edited --- Ahhhh as they say,
up in smoke, a little more than Antiques. Growing indoor weed takes a
lot of juice and the electrician was asleep`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 26111.1, Oct 25 at 1450, something very distorted and
weak, seems like a broadcast, not resolvable by FM, AM or SSB tuning.
I was checking for 26110 FM, KMK282, broadcast auxiliary in
California. Have long had carrier about here, presumed local birdie,
But not even that was audible around 2200 check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 1040, Oct 24 at 0640 UT, ``whooper`` QRM vs WHO, a
typical Cuban defect. WRTH has only one, 10 kW R. Mayabeque, Güines
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2266)

** NEW ZEALAND. 17675, Oct 24 circa 0640, JBA carrier from RNZP, as has
been the case lately, hardly propagating like it was for a while. B24
schedule changes a lot but stays on 17675: AM daily: 1651 11725, 1759
15720, 2159 17675, 0659 13755, 1259-1650 7390. DRM daily except
Saturdays: 1651-1758 9780, 1759-2058 13840  (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF
RADIO 2266)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 960, Oct 24 at 0632 UT, local KGWA Enid in C2CAM
but considerable CCI and a pronounced SAH, adding up to S9+42. Only a
few km away, this is unusual: must be on reduced power, yet air not
deadened. Also echoing C2CAM from an understation, most likely WERC
Birmingham AL per NRC AM Log altho there are a few others at greater
distances, lesser powers. However, Log does not have KGWA as C2CAM
station; may have started later after August closing (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

Falls SD, only somewhat unusual barely overcoming noise level (Glenn

** U S A. 17790, Oct 24 at 1904, WRMI R. Africa noted for first time
since Hurricane Milton, S6/S7 relinglish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD
OF RADIO 2266)

** U S A. 660, Oct 24 at 0636 UT, NO C&W loud and clear but mix of
weaker signals, so KTNN AZ must axually be on night pattern protecting
WFAN, unusual (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VATICAN [and non]. 25700, Oct 24 at 1418, S5/S7 in language, i.e.
Hausa from BBC via SMG at 1400-1430 M-F only. Logged for the record.
Not violating Separation of Church and State as both UKQOGBANI and
Vatican are theocracies. Vatican apparently has no problem doing
business with Church of England heretix. OSOB, nothing audible on 25800
where LP Denmark could be 24h; per Aoki, only other 11m activity is
25900 at 1200-1230 daily, BBC French via Madagascar. EiBi adds the LP
Russian on 25900 and USA broadcast auxiliary relays, all apparently
inactive, on 25910, 25950, 25990, 26110, 26190, 26450. I frequently
check 26110 for KMK282, of KOVR/KMAX Stockton/Sacramento, the last one
active, not heard since Nov 28, 2023.

HFCC B24 as of Oct 22 shows some other intriguing possibilities on 11m,
if they ever happen:
25700, 1400-1430 M-F BBC Hausa will be via Woofferton instead
25795, 25800, 25805, 24h alt channels for 10 kW WMR Denmark
25820, 1400-1500 daily but irr. DRM from Issoudun, France
25850, RON, Luxembourg in Portuguese, 1 kW, 24h
26000, Spaceline, Bulgaria, 24h 50 kW at 306 to W Europe
26010, IRDR Vatican placeholder, 100 kW to all CIRAFS, 24h
26040, new 1 kW FNA Berlin in German, 24h
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9945-9970 approx., Oct 24 at 0128, OTH radar clickery
QRMing 9955 WRMI amid, as heard via Bonaire SDR; 25 kHz bandwidth,
typical of Russia? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 21725.0, Oct 24 at 1903, JBA carrier direct, the OSOB.
Nothing listed anywhere around here; I also get local birdies obvious
on vacant bands, but they land on odd split frequencies, yet this one
is exact so suspect it`s real (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIAL. Kudos to Fred Studenberg in Melbourne,
Florida, producer of the no longer available BST-1 SW car radio. It`s
remote-controlled only by a key fob link on 433.92 MHz, but I lost it
on an outing! Fred very kindly replaced it for me at no cost, which
also involved sending the radio back to him for reprogramming. Website
is still up where you may read all about it; maybe find one on used
market?

** CANADA. 28153 CW, Oct 23 at 2204, beacon: VE3IDS/B EN94 - the
complete message repeating. WGB list: ``28153 VE3IDS/B - Owen Sound ON
CAN EN94ll - #0 (22 Oct 2024) Note: ID + grid + 10" off power 5w`` -
Band is chock full of beacons so I just log the first one, tuning up.
QRZ.com: ``VE3IDS Canada flag Canada, Donald B Richards, 137064 Conc
7, Owen Sound, ON N4K 5N5, Canada`` Below a photo gallery of scenic
spots but mostly equipment: ``2024 June -- I have put a 10 metre
beacon on the air. It is on 28.153 at 5 watts to a 110' doublet at 40'
AGL The rig is a radio shack htx 100. Please email reception reports
to ve3ids.don@gmail.com 72/73, Don ve3ids`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CURACAO. 28340 USB, Oct 23 at 2206, rapid contacts as if
contesting, despite frequent utterances, and fonetix, I can only
understand partial call, PJ3 or 2 --- ON. None of his numerous piledup
North American contacts ever mention his call! I declare that such
QSOs should be nullified unless both stations mention their own and
their contact call at least once! I have to find him at DX
Cluster/dxheat as: PJ2/DL30N: ``DL3ON Germany flag Germany, Leon
Martin Hellmich, Lauffener Weg 2/1, Neckarwestheim 74382, Germany`` -
nothing about Curacao there but has operated from several other
countries. 10m band is packed, also with beacons but I log only one,
from Canada, q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15390, Oct 23 at 2200, the REE Africa frequency is finally
back on! Weakest of the four. I had last heard it on August 23; by
next token English broadcast Aug 26, it was missing, and ever since.
As usual it`s the weakest at unfavorable angle for us, less than 15520
< 17715 < 17855, the last being S9+30/40 direct. BUT now there is
another problem: it`s Wednesday and there is NO ENGLISH!! 2200 keeps
right on in Spanish about flora or fauna in Africa and Canarias. Could
not catch program title but said something like ``doble-L tres punto
cero``. Looked up later on websked, indeed ``today`` jueves 24 at
00:00 local, it`s ``Doble Hélice``, a sci/tech show; followed by usual
French as also heard. Looking ahead a few days, English is still shown
for Sat 26 & Tue 29 at 00:00, i.e. Fri 22 UT and Mon 23 UT! So was
this a one-off pre-emption, or what? Something`s messed up in Madrid.
And isn`t it incredible that supposed ``international`` broadcasters
make listeners abroad adjust to their own local clock changes, which
should be irrelevant.

REE`s confusing B24 sked at HFCC:
http://www.hfcc.org/data/schedbybrc.php?seas=B24&broadc=REE
pretends everything is in Spanish! The possible frequencies M/W/F at
2300-2300 when English is expected: ME 12030. Af 17755 or 21620. SAm
17715 or 11940. NAm 17855 or 9690. Likely the lower ones really in
use, the highers as alt/backup? PLUS a separate broadcast, the only
one at 302 degrees azimuth, further west toward N America than 290 for
the rest, this one on 15110 at 2000-2400 daily. But that would require
5 transmitters at once: anticipating the first new one? Power for each
as 200 kW. Hours and frequencies are quite different weekends (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, Oct 23 at 2200, VOT English not off the air,
S9+20/30 direct at s/on. Distracted as usual by SPAIN and 10m ham
activity; 2215 discussion of cardiac technology such a wireless
pacemakers. -2220 outro as `Unexpected Twists of Fate``. Then I`m on
Maryland SDR where it`s sufficient, rather than UTwente: 2221
announces new English schedule from 27/10, as I have already found via
HFCC: 1330 13635; 1930 6050; 2300 5960. 2030 9610. 1730 9660. BUT she
does not mention any broadcast at 0400: Is it being canceled? Probably
not; something`s always awry at Ankara. 2222 `Sports Panorama`, 2233
`The Middle East and Turkey`. 2252 recheck with IS after s/off, to
2253* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 29620 FM, Oct 23 at 2159, I turn on the R75 still tuned here
and that unknown repeater is again/still there, as N5TZH is trying to
make contact thru it. QRZ.com: ``N5TZH USA flag USA, RICKY D PARKER,
202 PARKER RD, JONESVILLE, LA 71343, USA`` - does that mean the
repeater is near him, or is he skipping input to it? (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. WORLD OF RADIO on Shortwave Radio, GERMANY, B24
changes:

``Hi Glenn, I can confirm most WOR airings will be one UT hour later,
so we can
stick to local European time for listeners' convenience. However, we
had  o cancel five late afternoon and evening airings. This is a
result of  China insisting not to leave 6160 with their so called
'German Program' - just playing music which is ludicrous. There will
be the chance of additional airings of WOR on 3975 but let's wait and
see how winter conditions evolve. So here we go with WOR time via SWR
as of 27th October:

2330 UT Friday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
1530 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 6160;
1830 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 3975 +++& 6160 - cancelled+++
2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975 +++& 6160 - cancelled+++
0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160;
2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975 +++& 6160 - cancelled+++
0030 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 +++& 6160 - cancelled+++
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 +++& 6160 - cancelled+++

Our official B24 schedule looks like this:

6160 kHz: 0800 UT to 1600 UT
3975 kHz: 0800 UT to 0100 UT

Thanks for shows and good work. Always appreciated. 73s Andy
(Engineer, Shortwave Radio from Winsen at the river Aller, Germany)``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO on WRMI: checking the skedgrids I see that a
couple new times have slipped in without notice, and to be confirmed:
Tuesday at 1400 on 9955 - in addition to one hour earlier at 1300! And
Friday at 1300 on 15770: that would make it the first SW airing each
week on WRMI or anywhere.

From Nov 3 after DST go off, some WRMI frequencies shift everything
one real UT hour later: 9955 and 9395 affecting WOR; while 5010, 7570,
7780, 9455 and 15770 stick to the same UT. Barring any further
changes, some WRMI System B not 9955 webcast only times also laten
(Glenn Hauser, Oct 22, WOR)

TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING

PLEASE, DO ME, AND YOURSELF A FAVOR. Vote FOR Harris and against
Trump, who is evil, ignorant and incompetent. Encourage your friends
that way as well, especially any who may not be interested in voting,
so there will be no doubt who won. Of course you and they must be
registered. Thank you (and thanks to DX compatriots who tolerate my
TFRLs!) Glenn
