Dear friend! We have just been informed that the program scheduled for
today unfortunately not broadcast due to a severe storm, so a new date
is planned for it. Pity! LG from rainy Buenos Aires and have a nice
weekend! Rayén Braun - German editorial team"` --- what's LG?

At 2150 I recheck Brasil remote, just in case it came on in time for
English, but nothing. Some hours later I consult Accuweather for
conditions at Esperanza: "Current Weather 9:05 PM: -31°C, RealFeel®
-60°, Air Quality Fair, Wind SW 87 km/h, Wind Gusts 120 km/h, Cloudy"
--- that is certainly extreme, but the people and the equipment are
stuck there anyway, so why not broadcast? Was there damage to rhombic
antenna? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

--- what's LG?
Liebe Gruesse
lovely greetings.

Urumqi, EAST TURKISTAN, land of ChiCom persecution of Uyghurs, is

off-frequency-minus, a CCI problem further east, especially circa

afternoon could hear EI on the N/S shortwire, but not on the magloop
which may be having problems (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U K [non]. 12095, UT Sun Aug 30 at 0431, BBCWS via OMAN, VG to
UTwente at 320 degrees, with première of new show until November,
`Comedians vs The News`. Alan Roe found the only other SW frequencies
would be 13580 also Oman, which goes out at 10 degrees and much
weaker; and 9915 via Madagascar, which I was trying before 0430 but
not as good on remotes altho it should be the only possibility
directly into North America if checked. The co-hosts say they are a
Canadian Lesbian married couple, also bi-cultural obviously from their
names. Their two other foreign guests this week are from India and
Mexico, as they satirize current news; fun show, and can be found on
podcasts via https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3ct0x37 where Alan says
he also will have to get it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

after hamstuff, anonymous theatre organ music show from Bob Heil in
Belleville IL. Yes, he never mentions any program name, so I still
call it `Theatre Organ [NOT] in the Ozarx`. or TONITO. Most of this
show is ``virtual`` performance by Len Larsen(sp?) who sent some kind
of memory card which Bob inserts into his own organ to run it, pulling
stops, etc., but without keys going up and down. LL had previously
sampled the best thorgans around the country for each simulated
instrument! Runs until 0056.5, back to rock.

TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING

Nina Jankowicz (Wilson Center): "Imagine leading a media organization
and insinuating your reporters are spies. I have colleagues who are
being forced to return to dangerous environments because USAGM won't
renew their visas. They will be at risk because they've done critical,
truthful reporting while at VOA. These people have USG security
clearances and have been heavily vetted, usually multiple times. They
join USAGM because they're committed to bringing reliable information
to environments where it's hard to get. Pack's statements are
endangering USAGM employees around the globe."

Discussion with a member of Radio Casa by Whatsapp

Good Morning. On your website, it is written that you are an experimental AM broadcaster. Do you intend to start a definitive licensed AM station? Start with a frequency in MW or SW?
For two years we have been trying to license to broadcast on SW
But the Ministry of Communications is no longer licensing new broadcasters in AM.It's quite complicated
Why do they want those in the am for extended FM?
Precisely because of the migration even
Nor are the transmitters factory manufacturing Am
And do you find 41m and 75m interesting?
Just to let it work not to make a profit
BT transmitters said the Ministry of Communications has a project for the company to do tests with transmitter  of SW with the DRM system
In official terms do you have an experimental status for SW?
In practice, yesIn official terms it's illegal

** GERMANY. 9670, UT Sun Aug 23 at 0400, Bill Tilford experimenting
with a 10 kW ND relay via Channel 292 of his FTIOM and UBMP. Into
Maine, propagation from Europe seems fine, e.g. 9420 Greece S7-S9. On
9670, hardly anything audible at UTwente over all-dark, minimum-MUF,
too-close path; via SDR in Maine he`s detectable at 0403 with
multi-lingual intro, but JBA VP S4-S5, unusable. 0440 recheck,
inaudible. He was hoping to serve North America; maybe better eastward
into the dayside. I reminded the 900 members of the WOR iog about this
at 0340 as imminent, but not a single other report received.

2030-2200. But: Not a trace from 1500 past 1540 on any Brazilian or
Argentine SDR I can access. Is anyone hearing it anyhow? There has
been a propagation disturbance as long predicted. Note admission of
low power 800 watts. WRTH 2020 said ``1 x 10 kW (operated at 1.5 kW).
F.pl: increase output to 10 kW`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR iog)

always-off-frequency RVM. Only ZY audible now on 31 or 49m (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey Aug 29 at 1352: none higher than 12880
JBA carrier; also 11460, 11170, 11150, 11120, 10960; 10160 trace of
Chinese; 9215 S3-S5 of Chinese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13820, Aug 29 at 1315, noise jamming where there has been no
RM since March. Something`s always wrong at DCJC. Also jams its real
frequency 13605 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13740, Aug 29 at 1315, RHC on here but not 13700 and no
spurs, with report on COVID-19 statistics in Cuba by provincias,
municipios, barrage of figures I don`t try to copy but I think he said
the mortality rate was under 3%; from echoey venue.

Still no 13700 at 1352, but by 1454, 13700 is on and 13740 is off.
Nominal skeds for these two: 13700, 13-15 to San Francisco; 13740,
11-14 to Buenos Aires, but not noticeably weaker here. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7254.9v, Aug 29 at 0602, VON is AWOL again, and not on
9689.9v either (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1070, Aug 29 received this reply to my report of the WCSZ DX
test: ``Hi Glen[n], Thanks for your report - it confirms your
reception of WCSZ on August 22, 2020. This was non-DA, at 50 kW the
entire time. They were DA daytime until about ten years ago, when that
equipment was removed. Three towers at night, aimed at the ocean with
Greenville [SC] in it's main lobe. Indianapolis kills them in their
fringes at night. Al Hajny`` --- that`s it, no eQSL attached.

S.S. is an ~8K suburb on the NW side of Greenville. My Collins Gem
pocket dixionary, originally owned by G. B. Hancock for a 5th hour
French class, says souci means: care, worry, anxiety, solicitude,
marigold; but Google says the expression, without any of those =
carefree. The Arizonans skipped the French for their Carefree, as Paul
Harvey used to remind us, north of Phœnix, presumably a retirement
community (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Aug 29 at 0606:
nothing but 621, presumed CANARY ISLANDS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
