least it`s reliably on the air like 9665v and maybe 5940v (Glenn

WWL. Why is it so weak? Also same wobbler sound, underwhelming 1040

suptorted. Relogged for the record, something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba still emitting this totally useless stuff which their

** EAST TURKISTAN. 5060 & 4980, Dec 10 at 2316 JBA carriers direct,
but can`t yet perceive 4850 & 4500 of the Urumqi Four graylinish

starts here at 0800 after 5995 has almost faded out. Unfortunately I

offone, 9690 VG direct but if it`s Tuesday it must be Sephardic, not
English; 17715 & 17755 JBA carriers like hardly anything else on 16m

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.003+, Tue Dec 10 at 2259, VOT not off the
air, IS and ID in English, S9+20 direct = noise level so will catch it
via UTwente later: at 2332 when measured, S9+30/35 with low rumble, as
Efsun is axentuating a `Weekly Commentary`, no idea what topic, outro
at 2337. 2338 music. 2345 `Turkey`s Geomarked Products` about
red-colored ``cherry marble``. 2346 music. 2355 a late s/off as if
1330 on 13635. Something`s always awry at Ankara and IS; 2356 pause
and restart IS with German IDs. Something`s always erroneous at
Emirler. Off a few sex before 2400* avoiding additional embarrassment
of starting German broadcast, instead uncovering the already audible

Barely confirmed Tuesday December 10 at 1526 the 1500 on WRMI 9955,
JBA but sounds like me; presumably the same after 1400, zzzz.

** U S A. 9395, Dec 10 at 0810, deadair at WRMI tune-in, but merely an
audiopause during SMTV which is primarily video invisible. S9+35 much
stronger than 9955, then in English lists about a dozen languages,
apparently available subtitles/captioning for next item about Afghan
women, in language, maybe Pashto? Just another example of why it`s a
bad idea to put TV audio on SW, or any radio or audio-only platform

** U S A. 9330, Dec 10 at 0812 & 1731 & 2306, WLCR via WBCQ is still
absent; supposedly 24h. What`s wrong? Nothing about this on WBCQ
website nor on linked https://www.worldslastchance.com/ -- where we
see the ``correct`` spelling of their imaginary deity: Yahushua --
none of this ``Yahweh`` stuff! Oops, elsewhere in website it`s
``Yahuwah``, ``Yahwehshua``, or even ``Yahweh``! Nowhere in the About
Us page is there any hint this was founded and bankrolled by an

Who actually runs the "World's Last Chance" network? Discussion

I've been getting into shortwave recently and have been looking into
some of the Christian organizations broadcasting there, such as
Overcomer Ministry and as of recent World's Last Chance.

With Overcomer Ministry, we know pretty well where their compound is
and that Brother Stair was the figure behind it. But what about
World's Last Chance?

Their trademark registration, which has since expired, lists an
Egyptian guy with a Saint Kitts and Nevis P.O. box named "Galal Philip
Habib Doss" as the owner but I can't find much about them.

Apparently someone named "Fred Myers" from Jamaica monitors their
website.

Does anyone know more? I am really curious who these people are and
why they are all based in odd places such as Egypt, Saint Kitts and
Nevis and Jamaica.

Side note: although some/a lot/most of their preachings are obviously
way out there and they believe a lot of odd flat earth stuff, they use
an extremely catchy intro music that is apparently a piece called
"Experts Witnessed" by composer Joachim Horsley. Been listening to
this on loop.

Edit: I looked into it more and this article, and this article with
further information confirm that they're registered as a LLC in
Wyoming (though that address doesn't appear on their website) and that
they're indeed headed by Galal P. Ross, who apparently heads a
Egyptian cosmetics company that funds the ministry. There is also this
deep dive into Ross from 2006 which talks more about his multiple
business dealings. Apparently he grew up as a Seventh-day Adventist
Church in Egypt but fell off with them and then decided to do his own
religious thing. Being a successful businessman, he had the money to
burn for it.``

Also notice this undated for which WBCQ are not getting any takers,
not even His Magasty Donald Drumpf; and coverage is hardly worldwide:

- this time of day on 10m, most phone DX is from Deep South America,

** CHINA. 18900 & 18970, Dec 9 at 2307 JBA signals with flutter,
presumed Chinese, the only two 18 MHz band ChiCom jammer channels vs
Sound of Hope, per EiBi. No sigs at all on 21 MHz band (Glenn Hauser,

** CUBA. 9790, Dec 9 at 0453, S9+20/30 dead air with traces of
modulation at talk peaks, CRI relay still instead of 5910. Somethings

** MEXICO. 1570, UT Mon Dec 9 at 0430, XERF amid `Coahuila en La Hora
Nacional``. Is this a regional version, or fed to the entire country?
About the Saltillo cathedral, also clips of an 1140 station,
``Coahuila, somos todos``. Not // 1050 XEG in NL. Not // 6185; 1140
sounds similar but not //. There is no 1140 in Coahuila, rather 20,
not 50 kW XEMR Monterrey NL. 0459 wrapup ``Coahuila en La Hora
Nacional``, so the entire program, not just a segment, and says will
be back next Sunday, reference to FB. 0501 ``La Poderosa, XERF, 100
mil watts, Piedras Negras, emisora IMER, la radio pública`` also for
their 4 kW FM XHRF 103.9. Hardly any other once ``clear`` XE channels
have any significant signals, e.g. 730, 900, 1220 (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** OKLAHOMA. RF 17, Dec 9 at 0513 UT, 3ABN main virtual channel 17-1
is audio silence! All the others, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 have A & V; as well
as the audio-only on 9, 10 and 11. However, 17-6 is axually same
program as 17-1, and fortunately with audio during a singer. However2,
17-1 is 16:9 HD, and 17-6 is SD 4:3. Besides the visual difference,
those figures show with the Display button on the Zenith STB remote.
Recheck at 2000 UT: Same situation! No one paying attention. And STILL
with wrong ID K17JI, which is really a satellator in California,
instead of K17JN. It changed with a reboot several months ago. No one
paying attention. This is Enid`s only local TV signal, of which I do
not doubt that 99% of inhabitants are unaware (Glenn Hauser, Enid,

** RUSSIA. 9996, Dec 9 at 0454, binary pulses, pause at 0455
minutetop, and resuming, surely RWM Moskva/Taldom. Audible when tuned
to 9995 USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Mon Dec 9, REE N American frequency not off the air
for a change; instead, goner is 12030 for ME, which served as our
backwards backup. 17715 & 17755 JBA carriers detected at 2258. At
2300, 9690 is S9+30 direct, opening token English about feature to
follow, China as a global superpower, someone from the I.E.? China
Center. News starts with Syria, of course (Glenn Hauser,

** TURKEY. 9610, Sunday Dec 8 at 2147, VOT English not off the air,
only fair into UTwente, as this is aimed oppositely for S Asia, where
it`s only 3:17 am in India! Considerable CCI from CNR8 in Mongolian
via Beijing - and even worse, splash from superstrong 9600 CRI English
via Kashgar, East Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide
against Uyghurs and other Moslems. I want to get a headstart on the
Letterbox Programmme instead of a sesquihour later to N America,
maybe. But no good now.

5960, Sunday Dec 8 at 2259, NO signal from VOT even into UTwente. When
this happen, it may still be on 9610 instead of turning it off by
2230, and that is the case today. Something`s extremely erroneous at
Emirler. There is still Mongolian CCI as CNR8 span is 2055-0100, and
VOT off the back is considerably weaker in comparison than 5960 would
have been vs its always CCCCCCI. So I keep listening to 9610.006, as
s/on and Efsun the axentuated presents the olds. By now it`s not too
early to lead with: Syria. But 100% attention to this imperfect
broadcast is beyond me.

2317 news ends, TRTVOTVorld news promo, music. 2321
``always-by-your-side`` promo, `Letterbox`, this time with a different
OM voice, does not name himself. Unlike Halil, he`s not flailing
around and seems to have planned or even scripted this, delivered with
friendly expressiveness. Due to fading etc., I still have trouble
copying names of listeners and locations.

1) Ralf, Germany, 73 years old, about a Turkish women heroes program
or segment. 2) Siddartha Chatterjee, about World Television Day, Nov
21. 3) Dr Erwin? Mess? about ?? 2320, break for a song. 2330 4) David,
Olathe? Kansas listened on a D808. 5) West Bengal, about World AIDS
Day observed in Bangladesh. 6) Christer Brunström, Sweden, who is in
almost every week, about the last letter(s) in the Swedish alfabet, ä
or ö, and host remarx it`s also the first letter of his name in
Turkish, but still can`t catch it. 2335 another song. 2338 L`Box
outro, 2339 music.

2346 ``a-b-y-s`` again, music. 2350 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2352
headlines by Efsun who seems the only announcer who does that: Erdowan
hopes all the ethnic faxions will coexist peacefully in Syria --- even
the terrorist Kurds?!?!? 2354 s/off as if it`s the 1330 on 13635:
something`s always awry at Ankara. 2355 IS.

2356 restart IS with German IDs. Dec 9 at 0000 s/on in German, Alten.
0008 TRTVOTWorld promo in German. Finally chopoff at 0012* as the
operator may have awakened almost two hours late, uncovering CNR8. So
we had the wrong language at the wrong time on the wrong wrong
frequency.

Dear reader, I hope you find my detailed monitoring of VOT of some
interest, unlike some DX editors who refuse to publish anything this
long. They are not doing their job unless they cut, cut, cut, saving

ID filler reel. 2353 s/off as if 1330 on 13635: something`s always
awry at Ankara, IS until 2355.5* uncovering the CCCCCCI to become only

above the line noise level here. DRMRX list and EiBi show BBC

cutsoff, nothing further in USAF crypto exercise. At 0207 I`m on 8992

15016 USB. 4724 has a pronounced echo and audio dropouts (Glenn

** U S A. WTWW: just in from George McClintock, early UT Dec 10: ``I
have had 250 gallons of propane put into the tank for heating. New
filters have been purchased and put in the AC units. These are paid
for with the small profits of airtime. NOTE: with the heat from the
transmitters, so far, no propane has been used to heat the building.
The gate has been straightened upright and closes even. It has been
leaning for several years. I continue payments for land rental while
not the contracted amount, some part of the money per month. Hopefully
the full amount in the near future. My son will be purchasing a new
computer to air the programs, frequency changes and public service
announcements. We are currently using BOB to stream programs to WTWW

non-ID, but then Xmasmx. NRC AM Log has that slogan for WHBQ Memphis,
but no FM //. WTFDA FM DB does show a mere translator, W253DF 98.5

at tuneby, i.e. KRJO Monroe LA, 10/1 kW of which is inconsequential

** U S A. IBOC noise is sparse but not yet gone, Dec 9 at 0428, +/- 13
kHz peaks from 1170 KOTV and 1080 KRLD. Maybe still 1160 KSL? which is
abnormally weak. I don`t notice it from any other major station at

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Mon Dec 9 at
0421: NO Benin 1476; but 621, 711, 1044; and stronger 1053: Per
mwlist, 400 kW SRR R Iashi, Romania, starts at 0355. Other hi power is
TalkSport UK, Droitwich, 150 kW; Spain COPE 20 + 5 kW; further
Ethiopia 50 kW, Iran 25. 1053 still in at 0504, lessening likelihood
