** CHINA. 13640, July 6 at 2210 talk in Japanese, S1-S6, but not NHK: soon ID as ``Kochirawa Pekin Hoso`` = CRI via Jinhua 831 site more or less USward far beyond (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 6060, July 6 at 0620, RHC English with big humbuzz atop English; 6100 undermodulated; 6165, 6000, 5040 all off. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15140 & 11760, July 6 at 1421, no signals from these RHCs; 9710 music poor, and 9535 JBA carrier, at least on. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, July 6 at 1500, ``Kashmir Civitas`` ID in passing shortly after opening in presumed Urdu via Romania; another weekly Tuesday clandestine, S9+15 into UTwente. BTW, Civitas is pronounced Sivitas, not Kivitas as in klassical Latin; but what has any Latin to do with this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 15770, July 7 at 0138, indeed this WRMI on extended hours, poor but // 7570 with TOMBS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 3215, July 7 at 0251, WWCR-1 at S9+10/20 of dead air from dead Stair; 0317 in storm noise level I think I detect a trace of JBM. 3265.1+ meanwhile, TOMBS via WBCQ circa 0300 is a JBA off-frequency carrier, fortunately totally unusable (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2093 monitoring: just missed confirming new WRMI time, July 6 Tuesday 1330 on 15770, remembering it at 1400. Did anyone hear it? Next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support: no new thanks this week for a MO or check in US funds on a US bank, to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9955, Tue July 6 at 2218, WRMI with Radio Emma Toc, World Service, that strange quasi-DX programme monthly from Britain; bits about R. Caroline, and Good Morning Vietnam. Show is going on hiatus for a while after this one, he says (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5010, July 7 at 0139, WRMI-14 poor here in noise, not 5015, altho Ivo Ivanov found it on ``wrong`` 5015 in the July 6 morning at 1210 & 1230 via Boca Ratón SDR. Must check that July 7 in the 11-14 UT span. Have asked Jeff about it but no reply yet (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) See also SOUTH CAROLINA [non] ** U S A. 4980, July 7 at 0140, WRMI-4 with squeal on USB not LSB of my R75, but is it transmitted or receiver artifact? Recheck at 0357 on Key West SDR, no squeal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, July 7 at 0142, WRNO is back on after missing last night; whew (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5830, July 7 at 0144, WTWW-1 carrier is cutting on and off the air about once per second but not exactly, making the PPPP modulation unusable, tsk2. Still so past 0200+; hey Ted, haven`t you noticed something`s slightly wrong? Don`t you even listen raptly to your benefactor? Recheck at 0219, now carrier stays on. 5085 meanwhile, WTWW-2, July 7 at 0145, carrier still jittery but nowhere near as bad as 5830; yet obviously defective (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. On Tue, Jul 6, 2021 at 12:59 AM Glenn Hauser wrote: ``Hi Duke, Tnx for doing all the WNJC DX tests. I am actually away from the local area (in Maine myself) and was unable to copy it. I think conditions haven't been ideal for DX unfortunately. If the station is still around in the fall, hopefully there will be an October event with a finale on Halloween. Duke, kc2dux`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 106.5, July 6 at 1753 UT, Radio Lobo ID in Spanish, following ``Jambalaya`` song in English! On caradio near artesian well NNW of Enid circa Great Salt Plains. It`s KYQQ, 100 kW in Arkánsas City KS, not an obvious SS area, but suspect rimshotting into Wichita. Inside Enid obscured by local on 106.3. AM bandscanning out of the question with heavy storm noise, must be from KS not bright and clear OK. At least can tell no local 530 or 1610 TIS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0425 UT July 7 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

``Bill, Really ehnjoyed the Canada D`eh special. I wasn`t taking dehtailed contehnt notes, but would appreciate theh ehQSL offered toward the ehnd. Here is what I reported in my logs: ** CANADA [non]. 7488.871, July 2 at 0200, ``Canada D`Eh`` special by Uncle Bill and Fred Waterer on WBCQ, a fun show of comedy and tunes; I listen first on the `7490` webcast but it craps out at 0217 so I hasten to Area 51 webcast, but it`s some other music! The special was supposed to be on both 7490 & 6160. Then I bring up the Maryland SDR to find that 6160 is not even on the air, but it`s getting 7490. A few minutes later I can go back to the 7490 webcast (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) The 7490 webcast crapped out again about 0253, but I still had the NA5B remote running. 73, Glenn PS: I also plugged it a few minutes before on the first WOR broadcast at 0130`` On Monday, July 5, 2021, 08:42:06 p.m. EDT, William Tilford <tilfordproductions@gmail.com> wrote: ``Thanks Glenn, I'm just getting online after being away since Thursday afternoon, eQSL will be coming soon. Appreciate the plug, will be getting to eQSLs in a few hours. Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for everything. Glenn, we don't have serial numbers for these, but you are the first one. Enjoy. 73,`` https://www.w4uvh.net/HAUSERCANADADEHEQSL.pdf or #127 via: http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html ``Thanks for listening, Glenn --- After almost 43 years in the hobby it's odd but fun to be on the Sending side of QSLs rather than the Receiving side. They're out there, and they're whispering. - Clive Cussler`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** INTERNATIONAL WATERS [and non]. No activity on ``Hurricane Watch Net`` frequencies of 14325-USB and 7268-LSB, July 6 at 0126 and earlier. BTW, there is a hurricane across Cuba toward Florida (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6974.9-AM, July 6 at 0110, JBA pirate music, presumed usual Nowhere Radio on this exact frequency. As here: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,83629.0.html 6950-USB, July 6 at 0111, pirate music S6 vs storm crashes peaking S9. Many reports here as Radio Genix as early as 2028 UT July 5: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,83620.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA [and non]. Nearby NDB check July 6 at 0130 UT: confirmed ON: 515 PN Ponca City, 350 RG OKC, 341 EI Enid, 332 IC Wichita KS. I am getting these much better S/N on N/S shortwire than on E/W Wellbrook which is supposed to be lower-noise. Still off: 255 SW Stillwater (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, Monday July 5 at 2200, REE intro by Justin Coe does not mention a mailbag segment coming up, but there was one reported 3 weeks ago; irregular? VG into Maryland SDR. BTW, Alison Hughes was said to have taken early retirement (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 395-MCW kHz, July 6 at 0128 UT, maybe my line noise is abating a bit altho I have not heard from OG&E; two 25-watt Kansas NDBs colliding, but with slightly different periods almost alternating for one iteration: CA in Newton/Harvs to the north, and ULS Ulysses to the NW. Classaxe.com shows respective periods are 6.27 and 7.41 seconds. Harvs is a strange name, and not even in my large scale Rand McNally atlas, but distancefromto.net locates it not near Newton at all, but NW of Lyons and ENE of Great Bend. From there it is 174 miles to Ulysses in the SW corner (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28206.3-CW, July 6 at 0054 UT, VVV DE KM4NBB/B. Some more CW followed I did not copy, and I thought it was KM4NB/B, missing a B, and about 28206.1, but listed as such by WJ5O at qsl.net: ``28.2063 KM4NBB C MURRARYVILLE [sic], GEORGIA # 5W, VERTICAL New 19 September 2020`` - and his page at QRZ.com says: ``KM4NBB USA flag USA, William E Stephens, Murrayville, GA 30564 USA 10 Meter Beacon 28.206300 MHZ Grid Square: EM84BM - If you hear this beacon, please email QSL to the address below Email: william@williamestephens.com Thank you`` There was also some Spanish phone USB QRM this low in the 10m band. More strikeouts seeking sporadic E FM DX 88+ MHz, but MUF at least up to 28+. Another relogged many times: 28281.2-CW, July 6 at 0057 UT, DE W8EH, i.e.: ``28.281 W8EH C MIDDLETOWN OHIO # 8W, GP VERTICAL`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2093 monitoring: confirmed Sunday July 4 from 2000:44 UT on IRRS via Italia AM, 918 kHz, Villa Estense, good but French?Kriyol? occasional QRM, perhaps overload in Noale SDR. Also confirmed Sun July 4 at 2200 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160 minus 100 Hz = 6159.900 kHz, per Maryland remote in SAM mode, S7-S9. (The other WBCQ with `UBMP` on 7490 minus 102 Hz = 7488.898 kHz.) Also confirmed Sun July 4 at 2230 on WRMI 9955, S9 over Cuban pulse jamming into Maryland SDR; S1-S2 into Brasília #2 SDR, even tho it`s aimed thataway. Also confirmed UT Monday July 5 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG direct. Also confirmed UT Mon July 5 at 0130 on WRN webcast to N America. Also confirmed UT Mon July 5 at 0244 the 0230 on WRMIs, 5800 S6-S9, 7780 S7-S9 direct. Next: 1330 UT Tuesday WRMI 15770 to NE [NEW] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support: no new thanks this week for a MO or check in US funds on a US bank, to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9395, July 5 at 0205 tune-in to WRMI for Texas R SW 4th of July special - patriotic speech by YL in progress, not music yet; illegible notes; 0213 Ray Charles: America the Beautiful; 0222 QSL offer in OM voice and intro next tune, Springsteen: Born in the USA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, July 6 at 0124 still no signal from 500 kW WLCR via WBCQ, and I guess there will not be for a while. Update on this via Mike Terry: ``[WOR] WBCQ "Big Tube" a write-off --- Allan Weiner @AllanWBCQ · 4h Trials and tribulations. Searching for a TH576 tube, or equivalent, to get the mighty 9330 back on the air. Classic WBCQ still going strong on 7490/6160/3265 khz. The free speech goes on!! The big tube went to air while on the air. All burnt up and not rebuildable. Sad $ 200k loss. (Twitter 5 July 2021)`` Well, isn`t the thing insured or under warranty? Anyhow, out of pocket of the wacko Egyptian billionaire (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1360, UT Mon July 5 at 0022, I`m tuned to the KiwiSDR in Philadelphia for the publicized 4th of July special DX test from WNJC, Washington Twp - of several in NJ, the one near Camden and hence Philly. I`m hearing a tone at S5-S6; 0023 singing jingle ID ``WNJC 13-60``; Star-Spangled Banner in Jimi Hendrix style, but not quite? Mixing in a few notes of Taps; then VVV VVV VVV DE WNJC in Morse code - not CW but tones on AM carrier. WNJC calls repeated over and over, I lost count after eleven, maybe for a minute; 0028.5 sweep tones upward. I had no chance of getting it direct, but wanted to hear and confirm what was going out. Despite proximity, hardly a local-quality signal, altho it was dominant on frequency. Night and day coverage maps at radio-locator.com imply the low-power night pattern axually has a better lobe into Phila. than the higher-power day pattern. Strangely enough, 24 hours later, I have seen zero reports of this on the NRC or IRCA lists; maybe I should tell them that at least I for one heard it, albeit remotely (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, July 6 at 0117, WTWW-2 with Ted saying he`s about to play a 4th of July special of patriotic American music, recorded last night, which failed to air ``because a cow stepped on a cable``. Very distorted modulation tho and I shan`t listen. The carrier is also jittering slightly, checked with BFO (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, July 6 at 0122, WRNO is AWOL again. Usually was quite strong lately when active (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 5179-USB, July 6 at 0119, 2-way in colloquial Spanish, one quite strong S7-S9 with ``engine noise``, mentioning quantities of something measured in ``kilos``; which is nonsensical; kilowatts, kilojoules, kilogallons, kilograms, kilomiles?? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 24000-27000 kHz, July 6 at 0104-0107, complete bandscan for anything interesting as sporadic E is bouncing in CB 27+ MHz and some 28+ MHz beacons. Still no broadcast auxiliaries, but some 2-way: 26315.1-AM, July 6 at 0104, contact maybe offset on 26314.7-AM. 26565.3-AM, July 6 at 0105, very strong signal just as it goes off 26583.4-AM, July 6 at 0106, Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 0442 UT July 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe, Teddington, UK ** OKLAHOMA. 515-MCW kHz, July 4 at 0638 UT, NDB PN, Ponca City reconfirmed still on, JBA vs HNL (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. The virus of dead Brother Scare is spreading even worse than during his lifetime. Artie Bigley, OH, reports July 2: ``Glenn, Brother Stair on KXEL 1540 AM now! As of Monday, or so, I'm now hearing Brother Stair at 2:00 AM CDT on KXEL radio. He is on from 2-3 AM CDT. I've listened to the nighttime talk show that normally airs at that time but it's now preempted by Brother Stair. Called the station today and they told me that his organization recently brought that one-hour time slot and he has been on the station before. I guess that was over ten years ago. So, his organization must have more money to burn on airtime on various stations is my point. As you mention on WOR yesterday he is buying more time on WBCQ these days. Artie`` I`ve also noted these expansions; where comes from all that money?! BS ranting is unlistenable by anyone with half a brain, and blasting that crap over more and more SW frequencies is not going to change that. How ashamed SW stations must secretly be, allowing themselves to depend more and more upon him. 4980, July 4 at 0620, WRMI indeed still on with squealy TOMBS. 5800 at 0628 also, S9+10/20 undermodulated. 9955 at 0637 also JBA carrier presumably same as on new skedgrid overnights. And 9955 definitely TOMBS at 1605 Sunday July 4, so mid-day has been added. But that`s not all!: 6159.901, July 4 at 0621, S9+10, WBCQ with TOMBS, this transmitter also expanded, overnight? Also have a JBA carrier on 3265.147, must be same as previously measured offset+plus. No 7490 or 9330 tho. WBCQ program sked still shows no expansion of 6160 nor any 3265 at all! 9265V, July 4 at 0635, JBA S9 = hi local line noise level, must be WINB, normally never on at this hour, bet it`s TOMBS too! Program sked not updated since June 6. However, EiBi shows 9265 in DRM at 0700-1100 M-F only, but this is Sunday. BUT TOM website HAS been updated for July with all this new stuff: https://overcomerministry.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/OVERCOMER-MINISTRY-RADIO-LOG-2021-Google-Docs.pdf Including WINB 9265 at 0400-0700 daily; WBCQ 3265 24/7! 6160 24/7 except for the existing Area 51/61 blox. 7490 from 1600 daily but not overnight. Also lots of time via Bulgaria, WWCR, and of course WRMI, on 13 frequencies, probably partially via every single transmitter. Also expansion on AM/FM stations including KXEL at 06-08 UT daily (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2093 monitoring: confirmed Saturday July 3 at 1800:36 on IRRS via Romania 7290, VG via UTwente, and also on Italia AM, 918 kHz, via nearby Noale SDR steady S9+17, running 3 seconds ahead of 7290 as via two different SDRs. Earlier, 7290 from 1755 tune-in with hum and warble on plus side only; 1759:46 JIP Aida theme cut on in progress as usual, quick IRRS ID, rather long pause before WOR start. Timings compared to RWM 9996-CW also via UTwente. BTW, EI Enid is on 341 kHz, not 342 as I misspoke on WOR 2093. WOR also confirmed from 1942 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO via nearby SDR. Also confirmed at NEW time of 2000 Saturday July 3 on WRMI 15770, good direct at this hour, even tho off the side. Also confirmed ending at 0341.5 UT Sunday July 4 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM direct, sufficient but storm noisy; so started early circa 0312. Next: 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2200vUT Sunday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE [new] 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE 1330 UT Tuesday WRMI 15770 to NE [NEW] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support: no new thanks this week for a MO or check in US funds on a US bank, to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, UT Sun July 4 at 0028, WTWW-2 with `TOUTA` almost on time, including really frantic version of William Tell Overture; take that, AAAWWW! But by then I`m on the stereo webcast, non-distorted. Ends right at 0100 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, still AWOL WLCR via WBCQ. Dave Zantow got the reason: ``Alan Weiner via Twitter (July 4, approx. 1330 UT) --- "9330 the worlds Superstation off the air. The power amplifier tube cracked in half!!! Never saw that one before. Manufacturing defect we think as the big PA tubes last up to decades. Searching for a spare now. TH576 made by Thales in France. Very disappointed. Cost new $ 100k." Dave Zantow N9EWO, Janesville WI, "Dave's Radio Receiver Page"`` (WOR iog) ** U S A. 1360, July 4 at 0345-0355 UT, trying to hear WNJC, Washington Twp, the one near Camden NJ, via closest KiwiSDRs, in preparation for July 4th DX test at 00-10 UT, but not getting anything identifiable via Philadelphia, Central NJ to the north, nor Fair Hill, Maryland to the south; as I have little hope of getting it direct despite nightly `DX tests` from 0400 in June and early July. The July 4 special might have been on tonight = UT July 4 but probably really UT July 5, they did not make explicitly clear (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 92.9, July 4 at 1721 UT, ``Eagle 92.9`` IDs at least thrice, also mentions iHeart, vs considerable CCI. I`m checking for Es on the caradio parked in the garage following 90+ MHz MUFs on DXMAPs. This is the only unusual signal found on 87-98 MHz. WTFDA database shows only two possibilities: KTGL 92.9 BEATRICE NE CLASSIC ROCK THE EAGLE 92.9 100.0 kW ERP H&V 247.0 m HAAT 40-31-06 96-46-07 42D3 THE EAGLE Title & Artist Classic Rock WEGX 92.9 DILLON SC COUNTRY EAGLE 92.9 100.0 kW ERP H&V 492.9 m HAAT 34-22-04 79-19-21 5FEB TODAY'S COUNTRY WEGX EAGLE 92.9 - Country Unfortunately did not hear it long enough to tell whether country or classic rock. Slogan did not start with ``The`` so that leans to SC, which is also a likely distance for sporadic E, 1049 miles. Beatrice however might have ``skipped`` in via tropo scatter, 275 miles, too close for Es. Such fringe stations mostly in KS & OK are the bane of my FM DXing, as they can fade in and out completely much like Es. Checking Radio-locator next, both have iHeart oonnexions, but neither directly owned, both with streaming via iHeart. It looks like KTGL is less iHearty, and I am leading toward WEGX as the more likely. KTGL-FM 92.9 MHz Beatrice, Nebraska "92.9 the Eagleclassicrock" Station Format: Classic Rock Website: https://www.ktgl.com/ Audio Feed: Listen via iHeartRadio Station Owner: Alpha 3E Licensee LLC Debtor-in-Possession WEGX-FM 92.9 MHz Dillon, South Carolina "Eagle 92.9" Station Format: Country Website: https://eagle929online.iheart.com/ Audio Feed: Listen via iHeartRadio Station Owner: IHM Licenses, LLC Another fruitless session at 1920-1935. Mostly the highest MUF patches are a little too close or a little too far to have any DX effect to here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 1952 UT July 4 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
