inconveniently timed for me when I have other favorite listening; but
on July 31 I had the Shoutcast stream running,

I then played back later in segments her World Beat Special. She
announces as on Unique Radio 5035, 3210 USB, but current sked and Tim

** SPAIN. 17855, August 1 at 2200, REE another Monday, another week,
another month, still no token English as allegedly scheduled on REE;
rather another episode of `Canciones Ténebres` about Cuba. Rechecking
the English podcast page, still nothing new since 16 July. Ironically,
just before the 2200 timesignal was a song about summer in English on
the program outroed in Spanish as `Canciones de Verano`. Something`s

** TURKEY. 9830, August 1 at 2205, no signal direct from VOT English;
and still no signal into UTwente at 2253 just before it would have

via WRMI with `Ukraine: Security Issue`; so heard later via:

one for Day 158 includes: 41K Russian soldiers KIA since beginning of

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2149 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
July 31 from 2000.8, on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz only, not 918
or 207; S9+10/15 into nearby Noale SDR. Preceded by new canned ID by
YL claiming frequencies used by NEXUS/IBA are *7125*, 9510 and 1323!
Vaguely recall IRRS may have been on 7125 in the distant past, but
always has been hamband in Europe! Imaginary now instead of 7290
Bulgaria? see Italy [non]. Still shows 7290 here:

The announcement must be recently recorded, since 1323 was not
activated until this year.

WOR 2149 also confirmed Sunday July 31 at 2230 on WRMI 5950, S9+20

Also confirmed UT Monday August 1 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/9+10 into
Georgia; but it`s not L&C, a shame this one can no longer be aimed
WNW, but SW from FL.

Also confirmed UT Monday August 1 from 0259 on Area 51 webcast -- BUT
WBCQ 6160- is OFF the air! As checked on remotes and direct - and so
is R. Angela 5130-; but 7490- & 9330+ are still on and strong, and
there are no storms near Monticello now. What`s the problem? 3265+ is
not on either. I should have kept monitoring, but not rechecked until
0355 when both are back on, into Maryland SDR: 5129.973 toward the end
of `Concert Hall` on R. Angela; 6159.937 with repetitive looping?
music, presumably HRI on Area 51. So I don`t know whether back on with
part of WOR before 0328. Next:

beacon at The Pas, Manitoba, is JBA vs storm and line noise levels.
Pleased to hear it but nothing else from Canada, nor any USA beyond
OK. 1956 km = 1215 statute miles (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11670, July 31 at 0621, RHC English S7/S9 but very suptorted,
barely recognizable // big 6165, only other English still on air,
while 5040 remains but in Spanish. 11670 is supposed to be in Spanish
only and much earlier in evening. From time to time it shows like this
in English. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13700, Sunday July 31 at 1501, RHC is still on as weekly
Esperanto opens, but cut off by 1503 as meanwhile I have retuned to
11760 where sign-on continues to allege this frequency only, ignorant
of weaker // 15140, and even weaker carrier still on 15230 by 1505.
Also stuck on winter timings as if at 1600 UT instead of 1500, as well
as 0800 on 6100 instead of 0700 when it`s usually missing anyway; and
2330 or was it 2230 on 15730. Io ĉiam misas ĉe RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** CUBA [and non]. 13628 & 13772 approx., July 31 at 1430, RHC
spurblobs out of 13700 AM transmitter. F# tone JBA but no readable
program modulation. Lower one louder than upper one. By 1457 have
shifted slightly to peak circa 13629 & 13771. 13629 has het from 13630
broadcaster, listed as from 1500, CRI English via Urumqi, East
Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom re-education, slave labor, even
genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems. Something`s always wrong
at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EUROPE. 6184.991, via UTwente, July 31 at 1901, ``Radio Classic
Sunday`` several IDs in English, rock, Dutch announcements. This is
why FRSH said it would not be on 6185 this week, but last and next
week.

Messy situation as presumed FRSH is on 7700.089 at S8/S9, 1907 giving
address in Netherlands; should be // 5800 but unseems, and then 1908
two signals are equally colliding; so someone will have to shift off
like last Sunday. No, 1923 recheck, still head-to-head. Manuel Méndez
says FRSH is on 5790.3, so must be *two others* on 5800. At 1946,
UTWente lox onto music on 5790.215.

Anyhow, it`s all rock music, and I would rather listen to `With Heart
& Voice` in $ tereo on WYSU HD2 stream as usual this hour on Sundays

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 515 MCW kHz, July 31 at 1428 UT, PN, 25-watt ND
beacon at PoNca City, is off. Had been reliably on for weeks and
audible day and night as strongest beacon, even moreso than 341 EI
EnId, 350 RG OKC which are reconfirmed on now; also Kansans 332 IC
wIChita, 395 CA 25 watts at Newton/Harvs are JBA; and 255 SW

** UKRAINE [non]. (7730), July 31 at 0500, missed checking UR1 via
WRMI for `Ukraine: Security Issue` in English so monitored later via:

superstition's R-420 transmitter is online, but part of the driver
circuit has failed and is in Continental's hands for rebuilding and/or
replacement. In the meantime they are using an alternative driver,
which explains the slight frequency offset you've observed these past
