Subject: [HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs October 15-16, 2021NIGERIA. 7254.9v, Oct 15 at 0616, no signal from VON. Now I wish I had noted every night, but it seems like at least a week since it have appeared. Past absences sometimes replaced by 9689.9v or 11769.9v, but no sign of those now altho could be on and not propagating unlike the bigsig on 7255- when running. A non-log some editors will throw out as inconsequential, but VON's absence is more significant than its presence (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0127 UT October 16 _Hard-Core-DX mailing list _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Saturday, October 16 2021
** FRANCE. 13735, Oct 15 at 1513, no signal from Mini TransAt yacht race marine weather, neither to Maryland SDR nor UTwente. Had been recently reported, but maybe now finally in hiatus until race resume Oct 29 from Canary Island to Guadeloupe (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** JAPAN [and non]. 18119-USB, Oct 15 at 2128, JR7TKG contacting NZ2S#, Jeff in Spokane, also heard, says they have QSOed several times before. JR7 gives his call clearly and fonetikaly several times. QRZ.com: ``JR7TKG Japan flag Japan, Sasaki ("Saki") Toru, Iwate, Japan`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. A non-log some editors will throw out as inconsequential, but VON`s absence is more significant than its presence (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 13565-CW, Oct 15 at 1410, K6FRC HIFER beacon is JBA with call repeating. Allegedly only 1.8 milliwatts from Patterson CA. And standard remark: occasionally audible but only around this daypart, never other hours I bandscan, so is it 24h or not? If not, why not, the point of running a beacon (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2108 monitoring: confirmed first broadcasts UT Friday October 15 at 0130 on WRMIs: 5850, S9+25 into Missouri SDR; 7780 S8-S9 and noisy into UTwente SDR. 5850 has a bit of scratchy noise as via MO and another Kiwi, but NOT on my original recording, nor direct from 5850 at 0155. 7780 direct at 0155 is VP in noise S7-S9. Also confirmed UT Fri Oct 15 at 0330 on WRMI 5985, S8-S9 into Bonaire after 0328 IS & ID loop with promise to start at ``top of hour`` -- in India, maybe! NOT confirmed Fri Oct 15 at 1815 on IRRS SW via Bulgaria 7290. Via UTwente SDR, carrier is on by tune-in 1813, but as usual, no modulation cut-on until almost 1816, and it`s NOT WOR, but rock music. I was expecting this since simulmonitoring via Noale SDR, AM Italia 918 kHz, which was already running the same instead of WOR, and think I hard a program name as ``weekend show of Radio City``, more music, // a few seconds apart, past 1820 and 1832 final chex. Looking at the NEXUS-IBA program sked for Friday after 2000 CEST: Nothing about 7290 or WOR; besides stream at all times, just 918 is added during certain evening times, with generic unspecific programming info. But it and other days of week are updated ``as of 14 May 2021``!! If IRRS have given up 7290 altogether, the Bulgarians are still turning it on with whatever comes in from the feed line. I don`t need this frustration, but should I stay on IRRS on the idea that something is better than nothing, even if totally unreliable? Next scheduled airing is on 918 only at 2030 UT, and that does succeed with new WOR 2108. Both earlier and now, there is co-channel QRM, maybe Spain or some other European, likely to continue or worsen with wintrish propagation across the continent. But we are well atop, as we should be a few km away from transmitter. But further? The NEXUS-IBA ``May`` sked now shows WOR Sat 2000 CEST on 918 only, our ex-time, and again nothing about 7290 SW. Confirmed Friday Oct 15 at 2230 on WRMI 5950, S9+15/20 into TN SDR showing offset +23 Hz. VG but barely avoids some ACI from 5945 Romanian folk music. Next: 0130 UT Saturday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 2330 UT Saturday WRMI 5950 to NNW [new] 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 1230 UT Sunday WMRI Europe via Ch 292 Germany 9670 [new] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW; 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support, which might have been sent via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, Oct 15 at 1408, no signal from WBCQ SuperStition = World`s Last Chance. Has been quite sporadic, unreliable, tho when on sounds fine. Are there operational, financial, or technical problems? 9333, Oct 15 at 1510, JBA carrier, which I never detect when 9330 WBCQ be on, so suspect it`s related, exciter? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. (7489.9v), UT Sat Oct 16 from 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`. I listen to the opening and check a few spots later. Both webcast and quick check of 7490 on a TN SDR are dead air for about a minute, coming up only after Allan`s interjexions are done, tsk. I notice that the W8BUG Kiwi has labeled 7490 ``WBCQ Wacko Radio`` --- not by me! Own webcast is distorted worse than ever; is no one paying attention to it? Angela first advocates saving the rain forest -- I can certainly agree on that! Allan says he`s tired of talking about politix, but Angela rebuxe as it`s only about our freedom! At 0021 Allan is complaining about the bugs in the 420-D = the SuperStition transmitter. Main problem seems to be its broadband 1 kW amplifier, which is too complicated to operate, instead of on/off switch and gain control -- noooo, it`s gotta be all-digital, which keeps causing the transmitter to mess up. 0024 a call from Rabishu in SW Colorado who is getting an S3 signal, is glad A&A show up on air every week and wants to mention a ham net. 0058 replies to complaint of distortion; will have to put a limiter so the encoder is not overmodulated, apologizes. Still going past 0102, after his own canned ID interrupts him at 0100. Hope Hal Turner is next, since he notified of his own computer problems. Prayer; 0102.7 JIP Hal. No report in yet from John Carver (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9955, Fri Oct 15 at 2200 on WRMI 9955 webcast, I make a point of listening to `Satanic Shortwave`, apparently the same episode which aired two and four weeks ago, and not clear whether it will continue twice-monthly. I tune in a few seconds late, but never hear any attribution to Kelly Bogues a.k.a. Rabishu as producer of this. Lots of music in first part, and talk by a maleish robovoice. 2204 song outro: ``Give me no man`s land``. 2205 next song, ``Satan takes a holiday``. 2211 reading excerpt from ``The Church of Satan`` by Blanche Barton, about the guy who went on to found the ``church`` of that name; organ music. 2218, purpose of this program to explain what Satanism is, and is not: Satanists are born and not made; it is not devil-worship. [O, then maybe they should find a different name??]. Refers to a website for more info about it. 2220 a bit of German and then a ``sermon`` in English with menacing music; 2226 martial music only to 2229:30 over without any further talk. I am not convinced by this any more than by pro-gospel huxters. Perhaps the object be really to troll the latter with something even ``worse`` than Atheism?
