L'Australia... in un palmo di mano! Il radioascolto da 23 dollari....  View Printable Version

Questa mattina mi è arrivato l'Eton Elite Mini, un ricevitorino sorprendende per soli 23 dollari (acquistato su Amazon.com).
 
Con l'antenna a stilo cortissima del ricevitore non ci fai molto, specie in casa, specie in mezzo ai palazzi. Ma collegando il polo caldo della MLA-30+ ad un filo accoppiato in modo lasco all'antenna della radio (vedi foto) ho ascoltato anche Reach Beyond Australia!!!
 
Non è sensibilissimo e quindi sopporta abbastanza bene anche il sovraccarico (se ci colleghi direttamente il polo caldo della MLA-30+ all'antenna va in crisi solo su segnali fortissimi, tipo Radio Romania Int.). Per questo motivo ho costruito al volo una spolettina di accoppiamento tra l'uscita della MLA e lo stilo telescopico, con risultati davvero soddisfacenti!
 
Il DSP è un po' lento a trovare la migliore elaborazione del segnale; magari all'inizio è un po' distorto con AGC brusca, dopo una trentina di secondi migliora di molto.
 
La scansione è molto veloce, fin troppo, si ferma solo sulle stazioni più potenti, meglio sintonizzare passo passo con la rotellina.
 
Sul manuale mancano delle informazioni: premendo il tasto 9/10kHz ad rx spento si seleziona lo step per le onde medie; inoltre premendo il tasto Time a rx acceso si può commutare da una banda all'altra (per esempio dai 31 ai 25 metri ecc.)
 
La selettività è sufficiente (un po' come i primi portatili Sony e Panasonic)
 
Non mi piace la custodia in pelle rigida, preferisco il sacchettino del mio vecchio Degen DE1102 (di cui devo sistemare il finale audio, volume bassissimo e distorto) o quello della mia mitica fotocamera Lomo LC-A.
 
Ora lo voglio "spremere" ancora di più cercando di ascoltare le low-power europee (Shortwaveservice, ecc), vi terrò aggiornati.

Finland: Scandinavian Weekend Radio (SWR) celebrates 20 years on the air in
July 2020 and will be on the air for 48 hours from tonight (rather than
their usual 24 hour broadcast).

Signs on at 2100 UTC Thursday 2nd July and broadcasts until 2100 UTC on
Saturday 4th July on usual frequencies 5980 or 6170 kHz and 11690 or 11720
kHz. Full hour by hour programme schedule is at:
http://www.swradio.net/schedule.htm which includes Radio Emma Toc World
Service 0700-0800 UTC on Saturday (freqs at that time 6170 and 11690).

2100 UTC Thu - 1500 UTC Fri: 6170 and 11690 Khz
1500 UTC Fri - 2100 UTC Fri: 5980 and 11720 Khz
2100 UTC Fri - 1500 UTC Sat: 6170 and 11690 kHz

some of the D.P.R. Korean TX units are even 'even frequency' :

KOREA D.P.R. More logs June 27 at 19.50-21 UT here in central Europe:

11634.968 Voice of Korea from Kujang, full English schedule given/read
at 19.54 UT, 18 kHz wideband broad audio signal, S=9+25dB or -53dBm,
and next to
11640even channel of CRI Bamako Mali relay,
probably in Portuguese(?) language at 19.56 UT. S=8-9 or -72dBm.

11910even kHz exact fq Voice of Korea KCBS Korean via Kujang site,
S=9+10dB at 20.12 UT. And low two buzz strings visible either sideband
+/- 100 / 200 Hertz apart distance strings.

12014.990 kHz Voice of Korea KCBS Korean via Kujang site, S=9+40dB
or -41dBm powerhouse signal towards central Europe, Korean language
program at 20.18 UT. (and Kujang transmission center 'own'
intermodulation scratching jammer signals covered audio, occured on the
bcast center site in KRE D.P.R.)

9874.972 Voice of Korea from Kujang shortwave site, Russian sce towards
Asia / Siberia, sidelobe into Alberta-CAN, S=6-7 at 07.38 UT on June 28.
