DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS further updating as season develops, as of Nov 9: http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
** CUBA. 6000, Nov 9 at 0040, RHC Spanish probably // 11950 but JBA for `Mesa Redonda` TV audio; something`s always wrong at RHC; into MO SDR where there is as yet nothing on 6165 or 6145; no detailed survey, but NAm English now probably starts around 0100 on the two sixes. Meanwhile, The Other Side: ``Will tourism return to Cuba, as the regime hopes? 'It is important to remember that the tourism influx had already started to decline before Covid-19.' Roberto Álvarez Quiñones, Los Ángeles 08 Nov 2021 - 17:10 CET Raúl Castro, his assistant Miguel Díaz-Canel and the entire Cuban ruling mafia seem to believe that once the doors to international tourism swing open on November 15, jubilant vacationers from all over the world will travel en masse to the island. They are wrong. They still have not grasped that July 11, 2021 marked the beginning of the end of Castroism as we know it today. They do not understand what is happening in the country, that its economic, social and political crisis is already irreversible, and that they cannot deal with it with the same bravado of half a century ago, without paying a price, since they no longer have any political-ideological capital...`` https://diariodecuba.com/cuba/1636387829_35403.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11880, Nov 9 at 2159, I make a point of hunting for RHC`s second English broadcast of the day, expected to have shifted an hour earlier to 2200-2300, and last known frequency 11880, but may be about to change. NO signal. Until 2208 I bandscan the entire 15, 13, 11, 9 and 7 MHz bands and still find it nowhere, notably not on previously used channels 13680, 11880, 9720, 7380. Recheck at 2229 still the same situation. One more check at 2256: RHC English is just ending, JBA with some signal cutsoffandon. So it came on sometime in past semihour if not just now. Outro at 2300 as `Arts Roundup` of Hour 1, plug Hour 2 but it never follows right now. Tomorrow`s Hour 2 will include mailbag. Then what? 11880 carrier stays on with dead air past 2325; altho yesterday as I reported, that succeeded in Frenching. Something`s always wrong at RHC. Back to 2200, checking out Spanish frequencies: tarde sign on with the same old set: tuned to 15370 first, which is very distorted and splattering over a 30-kHz range; after a tail of choking Arabic at 2159. ``15370, 13740, 11760, 11850, 9535, 9710, 5040`` and they are all heard at divergent levels of strength and modulation except 5040 unchecked. Notably, 11850 is JBM and suptorted, 13740 undermodulated, 9710 distorted, 9535 always weakest. BTW, no signals, yet? in any languages on 15730, 15230, 11670. Something`s always wrong at RHC, X4 at least. I knew it would be pointless, but for the record, then checking RHC website for frequency schedules: https://www.radiohc.cu/en/de-interes/frecuencias where they are for B-*20*, starting 17 November 2020; they never even got around to putting up A-21 schedules. Something`s always wrong at RHC. That was the third Tuesday, 3+ weeks after B-20 really started, and 2+ weeks after DST ended in Cuba running dog same date as Yanqui Imperialism. So a similar pattern this year would mean a delay until November 16 --- if ever. Until then maybe Arnie or someone be alert for conflicts requiring adjustments, having refused to participate in HFCC for fear of needing to negotiate with --- ugh --- Americans. Someone recently asked me to explain why some SW stations are so lax in keeping their own schedules accurate. I replied, who knows? but perhaps a combination of bureaucracy, incompetence, low morale; to which I should add: sabotage (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6000 & 6165, Nov 10 at 0118, RHC English now on here, somewhat undermodulated, better on 6165; during Chief Meterologist weather for the Americas, the first evening hour to NAm now from 0100. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Tue Nov 9 at 1600, checking weekly Kashmir Citivas via IRRS via Romania: UTwente is out of order so trying various Kiwi SDRs: Kernow in SW UK has it S9 with a bit of English at first then abnormally deep voice in Urdu/or/Kashmiri: is it slowed down or processed, robotic? With understrumming. Also a good chance to check how well K.C. reach nearest SDR to that target: New Delhi: JBA carrier! Tsk2. At 1608 it`s fading out at UK. At 1614 I back up to Kuwait where it`s still a night path but a couple hours earlier than India: S9+5 at first with occasional English terms uttered. But this too is fading out. I then check Cyprus but zero signal there. At 1627-1629* music JBA at Kuwait. Kiwi map shows terminator now leaves only Iberia and SW Ireland before sunset (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2111 monitoring, next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [ex 2100] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW [ex 0030] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support. Contributions via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. (7489.9v), UT Tue Nov 9 at 0030 after semi-repeat of `UBMP` on WBCQ webcast, `Camp Constitution Radio` theme ditty and then insert another commercial for something else, AshleyHomeStore.com, apparently this week`s airtime sponsor. Never heard of it, something local? No, even 3X in OKC, and website shows at least one store and in some states many, in 48 states including AK & HI - so only two conterminous must be missing but I have better things to do than figure out which. It`s for far-right furniture customers (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 6160-, Nov 9 at 0037 check, zero signal of this WBCQ into Missouri SDR. Believe it must be totally off the air as it was last night for WORLD OF RADIO, because now on same remote the other BCQs: 4790 TOMBS S9/S7; 7490 minus 88 Hz = 7489.912 is S8-S6. 3265 also zero. On A61 webcast at 0000 had heard the Jean Shepherd theme starting. This week`s content: http://zappahead.net/#2021-1108-area61 Area 61 for 8-11 November 2021 Tune in Monday through Thursday at 7PM US eastern time on WBCQ 6.160 MHz. You can listen to us on the internet at http://splatterbox.us/area51 I see that all open with a Shepherd show matching the same date in various longago years, 1965, 1972, 1966, 1974. 6160-, Nov 9 at 2228, back on the air, VP with TOMBS. Note to editors: please do not ``correct`` frequencies with a hyphen after them. I mean it`s obviously off-frequency-minus, but without bothering to be precise (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0147 UT November 10 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Glenn Hauser logs November 7-8, 2021 |

Monday, November 08 2021
** CHINA. CNR1 WOOB jammer survey Nov 7 at 2321-2324 hitting traditional frequencies vs Sound of Hope: 13920, JBA music, flutter and Doppler flutter; 13160 & 13130 likewise. 13020 Chinese S5-S3, both flutters; 12880 S3-S2 Chinese; 12820 & 12500 JBA carriers (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA [non?]. 11525, Nov 7 at 2325, Chinese S9-S6 with flutter; RFA via TINIAN scheduled, not clear whether this or jammer (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 11790, Nov 7 at 2325, S5-S3 discussion in English of fossil fuels; it`s CRI via Xianyang 59 site per Aoki/NDXC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15140, Nov 7 at 1951, RHC in Kriyol, via Missouri SDR; 2000 into English with some humbuzz. Something`s always wrong at RHC. As expected, one hour later in B-21 than in A-21 at 1900. As a running dog of Yanqui Imperialism, Cuba goes off and on DST at exactly same dates as USA, and delays any seasonal frequency changes; that may take another week. We cannot expect any accurate info immediately on website, so monitoring will be required (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11880, Nov 7 at 2313, RHC French instead of English, undermodulated and hum, S9/+20, not // 5040. Something`s always wrong at RHC. Nonsensically, the ``Africa`` English broadcast normally moves one UT hour *earlier* in B-seasons instead of later. Not checked yet, but expected to be at 22-23; probably moving to a lower band within a week (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 5040, Nov 8 at 0726, RHC still on in Spanish with music, `Somos Jóvenes` program, heavily distorted, carrier wobbling, overmodulated, splattering, S9+50. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6165 & 6060, Nov 8 at 0728, RHC still on in English, S9+10/20 and S9+30 respectively, enough to produce a JBA carrier on 6270, the leapfrog mixing product another 105 kHz beyond. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 6100 & 6000 are off, and 5040 in Spanish. The multi-hour evening English to N America is probably nominally now at 0100-0800 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** FRANCE. 17800.06V, Nov 8 at 1537, JBA carrier keeps cutting off and on, and audiwobbling, obviously the MiniTransAt yacht race weather broadcast from a defective Issoudun transmitter. Supposed to last until Nov 12 when all the yachts should have arrived in Guadeloupe. Also at 1700 in DRM, unrechecked (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** PHILIPPINES. 9335, Nov 7 at 2327, ``VOA, Washington DC, signing on``, very poor. Listed as Tinang for Burmese at 2330-0030. Once upon a time, VOA relay sites would identify individually, but then host countries became ``protected`` from such bad publicity on air announcements, even tho sites are no secrets in public scheduling info (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ROMANIA. Nov 7 is annual ``Listeners Day`` on RRI, since Nov 1 is anniversary of public broadcasting there in 1928. For a few weeks, RRI has been inviting listener comments on this year`s topic, fake info about COVID in the media. I make a point of listening to this entire hour on its penultimate SW repeat, UT Nov 8 at 0100-0200. No doubt I could hear it sufficiently direct, but am at computer so check remotes for 5990 & 7325. UTwente is all I need, on the first hop from RRI toward N America: 7325 cuts on just in time at *0059.6, S9+40, and so is 5990: in fact signals so steady and clear that could easily pass for webcast or direct line from studio, LOCAL quality! No fading audible nor visible, not even selective fading distortion. In fact, I can widen the bandwidth to max of 13.53 kHz. They are only S7-S9 into Maryland. And a few minutes before 0100, 5990 was occupied by distorted CRI relay via CUBA, fortunately off just in time. After the news, special starts at 0106. I take notes, but deciphering my original scribbles is a problem 16 hours later. 0115 breaks for a folk song, ``I Know You Did Good``. 0118 first listener quoted is a name I recognize, Artur Fernandez Llorella in Spain. Then someone from Germany. Then an old clip from a BBC guy. 0125 lamenting having to miss live concerts. 0129 someone from India. 0130 someone from China, France; 0133 song; 0137 about some outlandish conspiracy theories in Romania. 0139 another listener I recognise, Christian Ghibaudo in France. Many of the other names I don`t attempt to spell nor does RRI. 0141 song by jazz crooner, ``Among the Clouds``. 0146 back to topic, 0147 Algerian listener. 0149 Italy. 0152 goodbye with song ``Transylvania Dance``. 0155 sign-off referring to next ENAm broadcast at 2130; Enescu theme, IS and off. There was remarkable agreement among listeners quoted that public broadcasting such as RRI is the best source for accurate COVID info, NOT social media, tho Internet may be carefully used for research. Guess what, no one from N America participated. Nor have I yet seen any reports of anyone else listening to this, despite my advance promotion efforts and reminders in the WOR iog and on the air. RRI promotion for this allowed audio files to be sent or recorded via phone calls, but not a single listener voice could be heard. They were all quoted by the announcers. Final repeat at 0400 to W North America, which I confirm at 0407 check, S8-S9 on 6020 into Maryland SDR. Not even checked scheduled // 7410 on the broken Tsiganeshti transmitter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 420-MCW kHz, Nov 8 at 0738 UT, mixture of three ND beacons; strongest is TU, 25 watts from Tupelo MS; weaker at higher pitch PK, which is 25 watts from Olathe/Herbb KS, but QRM from another at same pitch I can`t unravel, but likely FQ, 25 watts from Fairmont MN, as heard before. This is as far as I get before dozing off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2111 monitoring: confirmed Sunday November 7 at 2100 on IRRS via Italia AM, 918 kHz, Villa Estense, S9+8 into nearby Noale KiwiSDR. Hopefully all of it but not checked or rechecked until 2129. 9955 & 5950, confirmed NO WOR at 2230 Sun Nov 7, but other WRMI programming. Confirmed both shifted to 2330+, S9+10 on 5950 into Maryland SDR which gets nothing but jamming on 9955, but that`s audible at Vilhena, Brasil SDR, S9/+10 with no? jamming. Confirmed UT Mon Nov 8 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VP only S6-S4 into Missouri SDR, but NO signals on 9395 & 9455 which had been //, but expected to shift one hour later. 9395 audible at Winnipeg with elsemusic. Confirmed UT Mon Nov 8 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, poor S7 into Maryland SDR; no signal on 9455, but at 0133 to northern Utah SDR, 9455 audible NOT with WOR, while 9395 is sufficient. Rechecking WRMI skedgrid: System G still shows WOR on both at 8:30 pm ET, but the frequency schedule atop shows at 0100 UT, 9455 switches to SMTV. So this also affects WOR UT Thursdays at 0130 to be on 9395 only, as well as all other Sys G programming at 0100-0200. NOT confirmed UT Mon Nov 8 at 0400 on Area 51, usual timeshift ex-0300: NO signal detectable via MD, ME, MO SDRs on 6160-, nor direct, so this WBCQ off the air? Possibly propagation as 7489.9 is a JBA carrier direct, and 4790 is JBA. NO signal on 3265 which I guess be totally inactive again, not even mentioned as a multi-cast frequency during AAAWWW. It would be propagationally advantageous to run that lowest frequency during winter nights, but it only seems to appear sporadically in noisy summer! WOR *is* running loud and clear on Area 51 webcast. Next: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [ex 2100] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW [ex 0030] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support. Contributions via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7490.06 approx., Sun Nov 7 at 2309, `Uncle Bill`s Melting Pot` at latened hour on WBCQ, plus side of 7490 for a change but normally settles about 7489.9; S9+25/10 direct. I plan to catch this first half on secret playback via webcast UT Tue at 0000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5050, 3215, 3195, 3185, Sunday Nov 7 at 2315, NO signals from WWRB, normally leaving 59m for 93m in B-seasons, active weekend evenings only. 0022 UT Mon Nov 8, 5050 is still on with gospel huxter, S9+15 into Maryland SDR. Maybe to 3 MHz band next weekend? HFCC B-21 shows WWRB registered: 3185 available 24h; 3195 at 0100-0400 only; 3215 at 2200-0200; meanwhile working around WWCR also registered for 3195 and 3215, but I think has never used/needed 3195. There is certainly no need for WWCR and WWRB to timeshare 3215 but they keep doing it, to confuse listeners? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7375-7385, Nov 8 at 0720, hybrid DRM noise, got to be WINB: Yes, now scheduled M-F 0700-1030 on ``7380`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 6980-LSB, Nov 7 at 2311, 2-way in Spanish, sounds like a ham QSO. No pirates to be heard on band (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 1914 UT November 8 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Deleted obsolete link to Tú Eres la Música archive and added link to Arte Express archive The next update is scheduled for early December. Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe, UK B-21 SCHEDULES LINX incomplete yet but partially updated at WOR home page: http://www.worldofradio.com ** CUBA. 13660 & 13780, Nov 7 at 1419, RHC JBA on mirrored leapfrog mixing products of 13700 & 13740 which are S9+10 and S9+20. During pen-pal show laboriously reading out and repeating postal address of Cuban desiring correspondence. 1436 recheck, `En Contacto` underway confirming standard time shift to one real UT hour later; items about Radio Enciclopedia, ham DX-peditions and special events. By 1450 both fundamentals faded down and no leapfrogs; never any spurblobs today out of 13700 only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2111 monitoring: confirmed Sat Nov 6 at 1948 UT the 1930v on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, about 9 minutes into so started circa 1939. From next week: one UT hour later. Also confirmed UT Sun Nov 7 starting at 0323 the 0315v on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, both via nearby remote KB0FX. From next week: one UT hour later. Not confirmed Sun Nov 7 at 1335 the 1329 on WMRI Europe, via Channel 292, Germany, 9670. Zero signal here also with high noise level, and the 9665 China radio war is a JBA carrier; probably both VG had I checked via UTwente, as previous weeks. So far I have had zero response from listeners for this airing, but then I don`t induce reports by QSL promises. Anyway indebted to WMRI for availablizing us across Europe during testing. Next: 2100 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy [ex-2000] [US Standard Time shifts start here; *to be confirmed] 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [*ex 2230] 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE [*ex 2230] 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [*ex 0030] [not 9495 as I misspoke on 2111] 0400vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW [ex 0300v] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [ex 2100] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [*ex 0030] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support. Contributions via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. (5085), UT Sun Nov 7 at 0008, WTWW-2 $ tereo webcast starts `Theatre Organ Under the Arch` right now after hamstuff. Another episode about the great George Wright, heard straight thru until ends at 0056, so 48 minutes long, a compromise? between 30 and 60 minutes. However long, and whenever starting, expected to happen one UT hour later from next week, since despite being an `international` SW station, WTWW goes by irrelevant local clox! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Nov 7 at 0630, WRNO again on expanded schedule, gospel huxter in English, S9-S7. Ron Howard was still hearing it until 1300 in Chinese, English by 1305. I check at 1551 when it`s off; until 1400, or 1500? ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Nov 6 at 1509 quick check on Brasil SDR, again this Saturday no signal from LRA36; only on Wednesdays (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FINLAND [and non]. 11720, 11690, 6170, 5980, Fri Nov 5 at 2323, no signals on any of these detected at UTwente for monthly low-power Scandinavian Weekend Radio broadcast for 24 hours from 2200. At least no other stations blocking either; the first 10 hours supposed to be on 11720 & 5980 --- not 5970 typo in the Radiosdumonde on disgraced FB publicity quoted elsewhere without correxion. UTw may be too close for 11 MHz, and propagation remains degraded. At 0025 Nov 6 recheck, however, is getting a VP signal on 5980 with discussion in English, sounds like BBC --- in fact it *is* BBC as sked this bihour via OMAN, 0029 pause for promos and news; and no sign of SWR. So trying to hear SWR remains a waste of time. It would help a lot if SWR picked truly clear frequencies, even out of band (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. 7254.9v, Nov 6 at 0642, VON is on for a change at S7-S9 but just barely modulated. Something`s always awful at Abuja (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. ND beacons in well UT Nov 6 at 0651-0700 UT with no storms anywhere in USA per Blitzortung: 515-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0651, underneath PN Ponca City OK, which has been constantly strong day and night, for the first time I hear another one: OS, which is 25 watts from Columbus at Ohio State. 426-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0653 UT, ND beacon UV, which is 25 watts from Oxford, Mississippi. 420-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0654 UT, NDB, TU, 25 watts from Tupelo, MS. I was tuned to 419-USB 414-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0655 UT, two NDBs mixing, alternating IDs: SU, 40 watts from Sioux City IA; and ATS, 25 watts from Artesia NM; tuned to 412-USB 404-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0657 UT, NDB, HU, 25 watts from Hutchinson KS, not far but seldom heard; with QRM from HRU on 407, 25 watts from further Herington KS, which is a regular 400-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0658 UT, NDB, AHQ, 25 watts from Wahoo, Nebraska; I think the only one ever logged on 400, despite several others listed, not even AI Ardmore OK with 30 watts 382-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0700 UT, NDB, SP, 25 watts from Springfield IL, tuned to 380-USB 356-MCW kHz, Nov 6 at 0701 UT, NDB, ODX, 25 watts from Ord, Nebraska (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 13563+CW, Nov 6 at 1454, HIFER beacon YSO, Yellow Springs OH, listed as 13563.50~; aside slight 13565 CW, presumably K6FRC California; with CODAR QRM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2111 monitoring: as sent immediately to Alfredo Cotroneo at IRRS Nov 5: ``WOR cut in half --- Alfredo, New scheduling on Friday: 1911 UT tune in, music already modulating on 7290 & 918. WOR starts on time clearly at 1915 on both. 1930, cut to IRRS ID and MUSIC! Last half of WOR lost. Or still music past 1933. Now what? --- And at 1934 Wavescan starts! BTW, heavy adjacent interference from 7295 China in English. LSB tuning of 7290 required. --- FYI, Furthermore I observed the following as I kept monitoring 7290 and 918 via remotes: 1945 Wavescan keeps running on both, so your time does not end at 1945 any more? but 7290 is off the air by 1956 or 1957 before WS is finished. WS is still running on 918, but having started ``late``, is still not finished when at 1959.5, 918 cuts to double IRRS SW announcement, signing off, then QSL info, and 2001 into music. Glenn`` The next IRRS broadcast of WOR is on MW 918 only, again monitored thru nearby Noale, Italy, remote: confirmed Fri Nov 5 at 2130 ex-2030, VG signal and almost complete, but chopped off a few seconds before finished as I say, ``Solar flux 100 November 3...`` Not only no more mod but transmitter turned off. Missed checking Fri Nov 5 at 2230 on WRMI 5950; anyone hear it? From next week expected to be at 2330. Confirmed UT Sat Nov 6 at 0141 the 0130 on WRMI 9395, S5-S8 into Winnipeg SDR, but JBA here. Contributions via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, Nov 5 at 2222, WBCQ SuperStition in Brazuguese with up and down strength flutter despite 500 kW peaking S9+20, but also sideways Doppler frequency flutter, as the ionosphere has still not fully recovered. WWV claims no storms in past 24 hours nor predicted, but K index at 0000 would be 3 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7489.898v, Nov 5 at 2357, WBCQ S9+20 into Maryland SDR in dead air, but 2358 song and ID, Nov 6 at 0000, William Tell Overture for `AAAWWW`, with interjexions: ``check it``, ``no more, no more, no more, no more,`` he begs of Angela; and ``gallop``. He`s always opening with titillation, implying or saying that Angela is half-naked or stripping. Then into discussion of horse riding which means this is a rerun from last week; I missed the opening then so did not recognize that at first. Is this the weekend he was going to some hamfest in NH? John Carver agrees it`s a repeat (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Nov 6 at 0639, YL rock song in English, maybe gospel, S9+10. Got to be WRNO extended past usual 0400* (after DST, nominally 0500*). But bad distortion. Many months ago they stayed on overnight for a while, partly Chinese. Others also report this, Ron Howard in Hindi until 0502 English, Walt Salmaniw, Wolfgang Bueschel; and Ivo Ivanov past 1000. When I recheck at 1513, it`s off. 7505 is HFCC registered available for WRNO at 2200-1600, rest of the time on never used 15590. Remains to be heard whether this be permanent expansion (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1637 UT November 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
