Logs
** CHINA. In last report I mistakenly headed this CUBA!
CNR1 jammer survey June 24 from 1320: more or less in reverse
order than monitored: either Chinese talk or carrier on known
frequencies, the stronger ones with flutter: 12820 S7-S9; 13020 S6-S8;
13130 S9-S5; 13530; 13640; 13870 S6-S9; 13920; 14900; 15970 S6-S8;
16100 S6-S8; 16160 S6-S8; 16300 S6-S8 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, June 25 at 0547, RHC is S9+20/30 of dead air in
English; 6100 is OFF; 6060 usual humbuzz S9+10/20; 6000 sufficient at
S9+20/30; 5040 is S9+20 with best modulation but storm noise.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13700, June 25 at 1401, RHC S9+20 of dead air in Spanish; but
no spurs; 13740 is also on and fully modulated. Something`s always
wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ETHIOPIA [and non]. Arthur Pozner reported June 25 at 1515 UT:
[WOR] New frequency used for another Ethiopian program. 17750 kHz at
1500 UT. Not sure of the actual language. White noise is used for very
strong jamming``

Nothing listed anywhere. In EiBi I find this which we need to check
whether still on 17870 - might have moved.
``1500 1600 ETH DimtseTigray MediaHouse TIG EAf 17870/F[RANCE]``
I too had the white noise jamming on 17750 after 1500 today via
UTwente, and a JBA carrier amid it. Are we only assuming 17750 has to
be for Ethiopia since it`s jammed this way? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. Robert Scaglione, Sicily, reported June 25 at 1427 UT:
Radio Romania International off air? No Italian on 9520 and no German
on 9600. Roberto``

Checked via UTwente, at 1518, three frequencies are scheduled: nothing
heard on 5910, 11810, but DRM noise on 9580. All these listed as
Tsiganeshti.

After 1530: 5910, 9810, 11830, 11900, 13660
all Arabic except 5910 Srp = Serbian?
9810 & 11900 Galbeni

At 1531 into UTwente, only 13660 is on air, VG in Arabic.

For further checking after 1600, per HFCC:

Subject: [WOR] Glenn Hauser log roundup June 16-23, 2021

This June 16-23 edition:
https://www.w4uvh.net/ghlogs_2021_0616_0623.txt

CANADA 6030, CFVP Calgary, Alberta, reactivated: JBA at 1545 June
19 via remotes in Edmonton. "Best" but still barely readable, with
laughter, Calgary mentions, via VE6ARS "southern Alberta" SDR,
S2-S3, 1550 UT June 19. Tnx to these tips:

David Fogarty: "`It is back on the air as of 7 am [PDT? MDT?]. Two
engineers from Bell Media, Dale and Gerry, who are also hams, VA6AD
and V6QCT respectively, rebuilt the transmitter (partially with ham
radio parts) and repaired the connection to the antenna with a
temporary matching network. I am hearing it somewhat faintly here in
Walla Walla, Washington but hope reception will improve as the day
goes on. The temporary matching network means that not all the 100
watts are going into antenna. Sent from my iPad"

Harold Sellers: "The engineer working on CFVP 6030 kHz, Calgary
(Funny 1060 simulcast) tells me the station is back on the air as of
9:00 local time. There might be some brief interruptions as they
continue to work. Harold Sellers" He is also QSL manager.

Radio Martí is currently scheduled on 6030 at 0000-0400(Mon 0500) &
1000-1200; plus heavy Cuban jamming, which extends past 0400/0500,
maybe all night; but CFVP does not consider QSY:
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Checked remotedly in Cape Canaveral and Edmonton-Alberta SDR's

CANADA/CUBA Nothing heard of CFVP Calgary-ALB on June 24 morning
at 06.46 UT.

But heard some Cuban low level noise scratching jammer against US AGM
transmission R Marti from Greenville bcast relay at other time
of the day, on measured
6029.994 kHz fundamental, and accompanied by 8 x 295 Hertz distance noise
strings like a garden fence, either sideband.

[selected SDR options, span 12.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz]
(wb df5sx, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews June 24)

CUBA 6060, June 18 at 0702, RHC is still on air with big humbuzz
only, no program audio, S=9+20/30dB. 6165 also open carrier at S=9+10/20dB
and only a trace of same pitch hum. But 60% of The Cuban Five are now
off: 6100, 6000, 5040. Something's always wrong at RHC.
(Glenn Hauser,OK, WOR)

Yes BUZZY signal from Bauta on 6060 kHz on air at 06.38 UT, but much better
and clear audio on 6100 kHz in
(wb df5sx, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews June 24)

NIGERIA 7254.9+, June 22 at 0613, VON AWOL as has been last few
nights (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

7254.935 kHz S=6 or -93dBm tiny to fair signal VoNigeria from Abuja site
in Hausa? at 06.41 UT.

[selected SDR options, span 12.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz]
(wb df5sx, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews June 24)

BRAZIL 5939.280 (0,5 kW) SC86 R. Voz Missionaria, Camboriu SC
<www.gideoes.com.br> S=4 -101dBm poor and tiny in C.C. Florida unit at
06.32 UT on June 24.
