Heard the stationstarting on 2129 with just carrier and continued with the BBC program on 2130zwith an interview between YL and man on how he took the job for that place. Sometalks on the food raw fresh and frozen used also some outdoor sounds  

 All frequencies in Litohoron Mt  Olymp were heard  in the clear

9585  with signal 51/25 in the PL330  radio
9870  same level
11685 better at 65/25with higher QSB
Heard for around 10 minuteand continued my band search After 22z all above frequencies were off

Well, this mail is coming in a bit too late.
It was nice catching this last night. The personal messages to staff over
there in the dark 24 hrs a day were cute.
They didn't use 7255 kHz from UAE. Only Woofferton and Ascension.
Very strong and clear here in Paris on all 3 frequencies.
The 11685 kHz transmitter went off the air for 30 seconds or so, someone
had to push the breaker in I guess ;-)

Single day operation each year - try it in 15 minutes at 21.30 UT

UAE - 7255 kHz Abu Dhabi Media Al Dhabbaya site, UAE

WOF - 11685 kHz and 9585 kHz ENC Woofferton, U.K.

ASC - 9870 kHz BBC owned / ENC operated Ascension Island.

ASCENSION ISL / U.K. / UAE Single day operation each year

via ENC facilities. Friday 21 June at 2130-2200 UTC. BBC World Service

annual mid-winter broadcast to Antarctica for 'British Antarctic Survey'

staff working at UK bases on Antarctica's midwinter's day.

Frequencies used in 2023: 7255 kHz Abu Dhabi Media Al Dhabbaya (UAE)

12005 kHz ENC Woofferton (UK) and

13810 kHz ENC Woofferton (UK).

A slightly shorter version was also carried on some BBC WS English streams

at 0132 UTC the following day.

Most seasons also some short transmission tests on these SW channels a

{June 14} and assuming all goes well, we will reuse the same fre-

quencies on the 21st.
