![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** ANTARCTICA [non]. Any RNASG? Did not get around to checking for LRA36 this Wednesday Sept 22 until 1608 UT: NO signal on 15475.98-RCUSB into Brasil SDR. Has it come and gone already; did anyone hear it or try to earlier? Yes: Sam Sánchez, Oregon replies on WOR iog:
``Subject: Re: [WOR] Antarctica today? --- I caught them today via Brazil SDR around 1550 UTC, off at the top of the hour-ish. Nothing via Iceland. Sorry for the inexact times - I was multi-tasking. ;-)`` Then I tuned down to 15475.00-USB to detect a reduced carrier if any, none, but at 1609 Sept 22 there is very brief 2-way in Spanish INTRUDING on that exact frequency. Will leave it there for a while. Another longer contact at 1617, but colloquial and can`t understand. Probably these nothing to do with Antarctica (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 9665.968V, Sept 22 at 2354, gospel huxter in Brazuguese, S5-S8; RVM is getting closer & closer to a full kHz off nominal. Frequency wobbling slightly (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6940-USB, Sept 22 at 2358, dense rock music at S8-S9; 2405 YL ID as Mix Radio, International. 6940-6945 area is normally avoided due to ute bonker circa 6942 but none of that now. More reports here including from MRI herself: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,86702.0.html ``Thanks for tuning in to MRI. Just doing a test after restoring my windows backup partition out to the stream TX remote location. I am still working on the QSL’s from the classical show. Doing a little over 8k audio. « Last Edit: September 22, 2021, 2359 UTC by M R I »`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 11940, Wed Sept 22 at 2200, same via Maryland and UTwente SDRs, this is the only useful frequency for token English, but it`s distorted like on Monday, not Tuesday. It`s more tolerable in AM mode than in SSB. 11670 is JBA and no better into Kuwait or S Africa; while 17855 and 15520 are inaudible at all locations, likely off the air rather than MUFed out. First news about the La Palma volcano; 2208 feature interview with a woman from Colombia who studied film scoring in Boston and now is in Spain (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, Sept 22 at 2210, VOT English already with 2-minute filler of multilingual IDs, 2222 `Feeling Supreme` seems to be program name; then a commentary another announcer is having trouble reading in English. But signal is super into UTwente: S9+55! by the time it gets into Maryland, only S9/+10 but still plenty, no QRM audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: ``From: Richard Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, From the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF, Antenna: random long wires in the trees. Dear Glenn: Last week’s tasks now I heard this week’s World of Radio #2104, they will be posted below the details, 0330, 5985 kHz, I was not sure what was heard and music played at 0345 UTC, I anyone confirm this? [that is UT Friday; yes, there was a bit of music, Greece interval signal at the middle of WOR 2104 --- gh] Details: 0130-0159, static, 0159, 5850 kHz, Sept 17 UTC 2021 [Fri] 0130-0159, static QRN, other QRN, 9395 kHz, QSB fading very shaky, 9395 kHz, s9 signal, 0159, 9395 kHz, Sept 18 UTC 2021 [Sat] 2230-2259, QSB fading, static QRN, 9955 kHz, s7 signal, 2259, 9955 kHz, Sep 19 UTC 2021 [Sun] 0030-0059, Static noise, 7730 kHz, 0044, 0053 s8, s9 signal, 0059, 7730 kHz, Sep 19 UTC 2021 [Sun] 0030-0059, QRN, 9395 kHz, 0044 (half way mark), 7730 kHz, 0058 s 9 signal (45343), 0059, 7730 kHz, Sep 20 UTC 2021 [Mon] 5850 kHz, 1030, 1031 (45443), lousy reception, 1059, 5850 kHz, Sep 22 UTC 2021 [Wed] (Lemke, Richard -AB)`` Confirmed here, Wed Sept 22 at 1045 the 1030 on WRMI 5850, VG direct as I happen to awaken -- and I belatedly notice that in the mid-break, I mess up my own address, PO Box number as ``6184`` instead of 1684!! Am I becoming lysdexic? Am I losing it? This bodes ill for continuing to broadcast a program full of numbers. I hope no one really try to reach me at that misbox! But no one else has noticed? Also confirmed Wed Sept 22 direct at 2100 on WRMI 7780, JBA VP S5-S7; 21 seconds later on WBCQ 7489.9v, also S5-S7 but by 2128 the latter has improved to S8/S9+5. Next, and last: 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; thanks this week to Robert W. ![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** CANADA. 6070-, Sept 21 at 0614 UT, CFRX talk show about the Canadian elexion -- first I had heard about it, not via US media. iHeart Radio ID into break, but surely the Canadian version. Equal or better signal than 6060 RHC, which is not humbuzzy, despite only 1 kW vs 100 or 250? 6070 also always perceptibly off-frequency-minus in USB 1-kHz step tuning by het pitch on 6069, compared to 6059, but not measured exactly (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA. 15034-USB, Sept 21 at 1938, CHR, Trenton Military with No Report Received, from Lajes; on but JBA, weaker than e.g. CHU 14670-RCUSB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ETHIOPIA. In last report typo: IAEU instead of IARU for International Amateur Radio Union, Intruder Watch (gh) ** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Tue Sept 21 at 1503, confirmed another weekly emission of Kashmir Civitas clandestine, S9/+10 into UTwente. In urgent Urdu, undercurrent strumming. Several mentions of Jammu & Kashmir. Abrupt English verbiage inserted, 1509 ``we are dedicated to accept --- justice``; 1515 ``according to charter of the United Nations --- occupying force``. 1516 chanting alternating with cries of ``Azam`` = freedom. 1529 ending with disrupted ROMANIA IS once and off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 11940, Sept 21 at 2211, this REE, for S America, in OK modulation unlike yesterday; overall, it`s #3, weaker than 15520 for ME, weaker than #1, 17855 VG to NAm; but stronger than #4, 11670 JBA for Africa. But no English on a Tuesday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. ** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395, Sept 21 at 0100, RAE via WRMI, Fernando Farías opening a ``new`` ATTW program, dated Wed Sept 8! Of course it seems new to you when recording, but not when played back 13 days later. Weekly? What happened to last week`s show? Also claims to be on 5800 --- NOT! RTI Taiwan is there. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CANADA. 15034-USB, Sept 20 at 1509, CHR Trenton Military is gone again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, Sept 20 at 2323-2327, finds only one VP/JBA signal in each out-of-band area: 13130 JBA Chinese with heavy flutter; 14980 and 16100 JBA. All fit as jammers of SOH in Aoki. But none audible in the 10-11 area (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA [and non]. 6165, Sept 20 at 0300, RHC is absent, leaving 6159.949 WBCQ with Area 51 JL and then WOR, in the clear! Splashless. RHC not on alt. 6145 either. However by 0352 RHC back on 6165 doing its usual damage. Meanwhile, VOT English 0300 broadcast was audible on 6165. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15230, Sept 20 at 2330, RHC Spanish S8 but suptorted; 15730 in Portuguese is S6-S7 somewhat distorted but not suppressed. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EAST TURKISTAN. 15245, Sept 20 at 1508, S7-S9 W&M talk with heavy flutter. Both V of Korea and CRI are scheduled this hour in English, but accents seem Americanish rather than stilted, so I assume CRI, which is more day-path than from Korea North; via Urumqi in the land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems, BTW, would you believe that on 15240, Aoki is still listing R. Munansi, the clandestine for Uganda via WWRB? It`s been gone for more than three years (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ETHIOPIA [and non]. 7110, Sept 21 at 0356, Horn-of-Africa music, 0359 announcement, IS? repeating a few times; 0400 three bells and continuous talk, presumably news on the hour. This first appeared Sept 6 per IAEU Intruder Watch, and then a lengthy discussion of what it could be - Somalia? Eritrea? Ethiopia. Some recognized it as R. Ethiopia. In Europe they were mostly reporting it after 1800. Ron Howard has had it in California by longpath circa 1500. I figured it might sign on at 0300, but nothing yet. Then saw someone reported it starting at 0400, but as above, already on before then today. WRTH 2021 shows NO SW frequencies for EBC/R. Ethiopia, the main government station, tho there are for various regionals on the 6 MHz band. I`m getting it first via Maryland remote at S5-S6, and then UTwente S9/+10. Intermittent LSB QRhaM in the exclusive ``40m`` hamband worldwide. From 0412 a Slavic ham overrides it on same frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 11840, Sun Sept 19 at 2046 UT, anti-Christ pirate Station YHWH, good S9/+10 into Alberta SDR, as Josiah Elias preaches about coveting. Tnx to tips on the WOR iog from Rick Barton, AZ; and employing various different SDRs, Eric Fetters-Walp, WA, and Walt Salmaniw, BC. BTW, altho no one seems to mention it now, his identity is a matter of public record from the FCC bust notice of December 31, 2014, about Martin K. Elliott, then in InyoKern CA, per: http://transition.fcc.gov/eb/FieldNotices/2003/DOC-331583A1.html tho trying that now, it is ``temporarily unavailable``. But preserved in DXLD 15-04 under USA, not N America: https://www.w4uvh.net/dxld1504.txt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 11940, Sept 20 after 2200, token M/W/F English from REE this Monday: 11940 back on air to SAm, good strength, but ailing with modulation distorted and breaking up! Second only to 17855 VG to NAm. 15520 to ME is unusually JBA, allowing poor 11670 for Af to rate as better rather than worst. All via Maryland SDR, which gets them all better than I in deep North America. Recheck direct at 2355, 17855 has faded to a JBA carrier, 15520 & 11670 are off, leaving us nothing but the very distorted 11940 at S2-S5. Something`s always nonsensical at Noblejas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 6165, Sept 20 at 0310, VOT English to S Asia, normally blocked by RHC English, but that`s absent and not on 6145 either. Weak S7-S8 but slightly better by 0330; and by 0352 recheck recovered by RHC resumed 6165. VOT also INTRUDING on // 7275 to NAm (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K [non]. 11825, Sept 20at 2333, something in English, poor S0-S2. Listed this hour only BBC via Tinang, PHILIPPINES for Indonesia. That`s nice but I daresay there are more English speaking listeners over here, far from armchair (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed Sunday September 19 at 2019 the 2000 on IRRS SW via Italia AM, 918 kHz, S9+35 into nearby Noale SDR. Also confirmed Sun Sept 19 at 2230 on WRMIs: 9955 S9+10; 5950 S9+20 into Georgia SDR. 2243 check direct, 9955 S9+10/20 with no jamming audible; 5950 S8-S9 and noisy. Also confirmed UT Mon Sept 20 at 0030 on WRMIs direct: 7730, 9395, 9455 all very good. Also confirmed UT Mon Sept 20 at 0130 on WRN webcast to N America. Also confirmed UT Mon Sept 20 from 0302:42 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160 minus 51 Hz per SAM at Maryland SDR = 6159.949, S9. JL had run a bit over. FREE of QubaRM as 6165 is OFF - and not on 6145 either. 6165 does bear weak S7-S8 V of Turkey, English to S Asia, // 7275 NAm. No problem at first but 0329 recheck, WOR/WBCQ/A51 has faded *way down to JBA, and now even TRT provides some splash as it has faded up a bit. Next, no chances on Tuesday, but: 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; thanks this week to Robert W. Gruska, Glendale NY, for a PMO to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, who says, ``A contribution toward your work producing World of Radio and the weekly DX loggings. Thanks again for all you do to keep the radio community informed of the latest developments covering short wave, medium wave and FM!`` One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Sept 21 at 0103 and 0330, WRNO New Orleans is still OFF. Have not checked every night, but believe gone since Hurricane Ida hit August 29 - more than two sesquiweeks; still out of power or was there more damage? Surely they will inform faithful listener what`s going on at really weird website http://www.wrnoworldwide.com --- NOT, but refers to ``upcoming`` shows in July 2021 and on another page to shows in January, April and October *2023* --- that`s confident, but not gospel huxters, rather Euro music?? The page is https://vice.qantumthemes.xyz/classic/events/ such as `Electro Technos` which would appear extraneous but linked directly from WRNO site and with the same rolling landscape background; and the listen linx don`t work. O well, Joe Costello`s legacy still provides some amusing lunacy (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-oceanic just barely audible MW carrier search, Sept 20 at 0640: 621, 711, 747(2), 846, 1125, 1413. Most likely NW Africa/Spain except 846 Kiritimati (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 6150-USB, Sept 20 at 2336, weak 2-way INTRUDER in Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 13700, Sept 20 at 2326-2327* seems Chinese not // CNR1 jammers, off soon after tune-in. Nothing listed now but CNR-13 starting at 2355 per Aoki & EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0420 UT September 21 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** OKLAHOMA. RF 15, Sept 19 at 1512 UT, there goes another `open` TVDX frequency. TBN for OKC, originally RF 14 in NTSC analog, is finally back on air as DTV, steady strong 700 kW KTBO signal with this PSIP lineup: 14-1, TBN HD 14-2, Hillsng 14-3, Smile 14-4, Enlace 14-5, POSITV same as already displayed by rabbitears.info. I`ve told Trip he can remove the X for not on the air. Main TBN channel had been carried on an LPTV I can`t get without tropo help, no longer necessary.
RF 14, meanwhile, is still open here, where KOCY ``48`` is supposed to have a 15 kW LPTV, Estrella TV, despite already being on the high-power KTUZ RF 29 transmitter, so who needs RF 14? Could maybe be on, but invisible here without tropo help. Trip`s coverage map shows it direxional south, not helpful here to the NNW (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SPAIN [non]. Re previous report about someone hearing TAIWAN in Spanish on REE 17855 frequency: later suggests it was probably 7780 via WRMI at 2200 as scheduled, his SDR display messed up (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K. 15660, Sept 19 at 1852, S9/+20. African language lo-fi on phone then hi-fi from studio. Aoki shows VOA Amharic via Woofferton daily. 15510, Sept 19 at 1853, equivalent signal to VOA 15660, per Aoki IBRA Radio, R. Sama in Arabic via Woofferton. Both among the strongest on band, rivaled only by 15140 Cuba, much greater than WRMI or WWCR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed UT Sunday September 19 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG direct; after canned IDs by Andy Sennitt, then a fragment of Bob Zanotti. ![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Sept 18 at 1508, another Saturday broadcast succeeds from LRA36, good S5-S7 via Brasil SDR: at first I camp on somebody in Pittsburgh, at 1525 from queue get on it myself. Usual stuff: song at first, 1509 ID for original Wednesday program outro with credits, as if off until next Wednesday with `El Lejano Sur`, 1510 Antártida song, 1514 more music; 1544 ``sign-on`` with multi-lingual ID including English to inform us that this is in Spanish. The last language continues to confound: it seems to begin with ``Govorit``, obviously Russian, but ends with ``imnida``, obviously Korean. 1548 Antda song again, YL sign-on with current temps: max -7 C, min -12 C - not too bad; has been colder than that here. Bit of ``Blanco, blanco y más blanco`` tune, historical item about a flight to the South Pole on Sept. 19, 1974; 1625 still, mostly songs; 1649 check, it`s gone already (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** NORTH AMERICA. 6975-USB, Sept 19 at 0008, strong pirate must have just come on, big band music, 0011 Wolverine Radio ID. HFU already reports songs with ``Out`` in their titles. https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,86541.0.html 6960-AM, Sept 19 at 0009, JBA pirate, S3-S4. HFU says WTF Radio Worldwide: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,86538.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. Included in FM DX-pedition report under U S A. ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed UT Saturday September 18 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, VG S9+10 into Maryland SDR. Also confirmed Sat Sept 18 at 1624, the 1600 on WRN webcast to NAm. Also confirmed Sat Sept 18 at 1946 underway on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville MO, VG S9+8 into Warrenton SDR; ending at 2010 so started circa 1941. Next: 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW [new] 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NE 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW; 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; thanks this week to Robert W. 1130, Sept 18 at 0603 UT tune-in just as ID comes from ``KLEY, 1130-AM and 100.3 FM, Wellington`` Kansas, atop the channel with its ``one watt`` night power, really 250 W day power, but considerable QRM from KWKH et al. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) more below ** U S A. `DX-pedition` about 30 km north of Enid on US 81/64/60, checking AM & FM for anything unusual away from the noise and overload of the city, on caradio, Sept 18, 1752-1850 UT: 630, Sept 18 at 1755 UT, JBA football? and ad/promo mentioning ``Kay-how``: KHOW Denver CO on daytime groundwave; 5 kW, weaker than regular 50 kW 670 KLTT; but 560, 5 kW KLZ not heard with less favorable N/S pattern even tho KWTO MO makes it not either. 850 has JBA signal, could be KOA or KJON TX. Meanwhile nothing from Chicago 670 or 720 which on a good very quiet day can reach here. 1370, Sept 18 at 1752 UT, environmental PSAs, one for earthshare.org. Must be KGNO Dodge City KS at full power now, which I can`t get inside Enid, with desensitization from 1390 KCRC. 1550, Sept 18 at 1753 UT, still can`t confirm KKLE Winfield KS, despite being this much closer to it; JBA signal with sports? presumably KYAL Sapulpa OK. But there is also some CCI, probably KDCC Dodge City KS rather than KMAD Madill OK. Meanwhile sibling to KKLE, 1130 KLEY Wellington KS is still modulating rock loud and clear. 94.3, Sept 18 circa 1830 UT, Enid KLGB-LP is far enough away to be getting some CCI, surely KCVW Kingman KS, 100/100 kW, west of Wichita halfway to Pratt on US 54, a Bott gospel huxter while KLGB is mostly gospel rock. As we pass by it on US81 back into Enid, KLGB overrides many other FM frequencies for a few blox. 100.1, Sept 18 at 1806 UT, ending ONN news, but signal has been alternating with weaker CCI, just like an Esporadic opening, except there isn`t any. And the car is parked immobile. It`s just the turbulent troposphere. Main one soon IDs as ``100.1 KWFX`` and into country music. The CCI may be a stupid ballgame, as Saturday afternoon is full of FB even on non-sports stations breaking music or other talk formats. No likely peripheral fully desportive stations. What could the CCI be? No significant Kansans. In OK, closest KYFM Bartlesville, AC format 25/25 kW; or never logged KYKC Byng - near Ada, country, 50/50 kW. Also translators in Edmond, Chickasha. 1817, fuller ID ``100,000 watts of Spirit Country, 100.1 KWFX``, i.e. omitted CoL, Woodward OK. This too is tough inside Enid with local LPFM on 99.9; and so is 101.1 KWOX Woodward with KGWA translator on 100.9 --- no longer mislisted as silent in the WTFDA FM DB. But here`s another mistake: ``K262CQ KLEY-1130 100.1 WELLINGTON KS USA ADULT CONTEMPORARY 100.3 THE WAVE 0.25 0.25 0.0 0.0 37-14-28 97-24-04`` ! This 100.3 station which relates to the reactivated 1130 is axually filed under 100.1, not 100.3! The channel 262 callsign also goes with 100.3, not with 100.1 like another translator which is a `261. Remotely possible is a frequency change in progress, without being re-called yet. As for the 0.0 and 0.0 meter antenna heights, not really on the ground, but unknown HAAT default all too frequently displayed. 102.9, Sept 18 at 1822 UT, ``Country 102.9``, mother DJ says she brings daughter to work, refers to ``Hutch`` which I guess is localese for Hutchinson KS, but also to callsign KHUT, 99/99 kW. Another one blocked inside Enid, by local 103.1 KOFM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-oceanic JBA MW carrier search, Sept 18 at 0606-0610 UT, not in the order tuned: 684, 711, 774(2), 846, 882, 1098, 1107, 1125, 1305, 1413, 1503(2) (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0023 UT September 19 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
