Glenn Hauser logs March 14-15, 2025 |
|
Saturday, March 15 2025
** GERMANY. 3955, March 15 at 1805, `Uncle Bill`s Melting Pot`, monthly via Channel 292, playing what else, Irish music, S9+10/15 into UTwente; co-timed with Met Opera`s Fidelio. 3955 seems to have slight CCI, unknown what. Much better on // 9670 S9+20. 1810 tribute to Roberta Flack, with ``Killing Me Softly``, a beautiful song, but I`ve always found that title/_expression_ repulsive! 1815 to main music: Corsica, very nice. 1900 into Radio Six International, Scotland (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, March 15 at 0614, JBA carrier direct, presumed Station YHWH running late again, and nothing else scheduled.
Also, fixing a typo in my previous report: ** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, March 14 at 0331, Station YHWH, anti-Christ pirate, VG S9+10 into northern Utah SDR, tnx tip from Ron Howard who found him on air early by 0250. I had not heard him direct for a while, mostly listening later than that. Now with good modulation too. 0342 theme? song. 0347 must worship Yahweh alone. 0349 some RTTY QRM on upper side, also some SSB nearby but could not pin it down; quit/off by 0352*. I happened to run across this on YT:...
Re Station YHWH report with the YT of ``Days of Hard Life``, Rick Barton, AZ, replies: ``I had corresponded with the op sometime back and he wrote that the song was actually recorded under the pseudonym "Lace" by himself and his (then) wife. He sent me a CD that had it and a few other songs they did at the time. best``
And Yahoo mail has this great new AI thing, summarizing what`s in emails, and gets this TOTALLY WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG:
``- Rick in Arizona -- Rick acknowledges your correspondence regarding the song 'Lace' by Glenn Hauser and confirms that it was indeed recorded under the pseudonym 'Lace' by Glenn Hauser and his wife. Created by Yahoo Mail. Was this helpful?`` DAMN NOT, GO AWAY!!!! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Are others getting these intrusions?? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 780, March 14 at 2211 UT, KSPI Stillwater is still off the air. Now I`m bandscanning on caradio with less noise than in the house, yet more than usual in the garage. Shortly after my previous report, circa 2200 UT I saw a notice on TV coverage of the wildfires, that part of Stillwater was being evacuated! 93.9, KSPI-FM however is still on air at 2218, separately programmed anyway and I can`t tell whether the mere translator of 780 on 94.3 be on the air. What else? By next check 1540 UT March 15, 780 is back on the air.
Only other semi-local AM signal missing is 1120, KETU Catoosa [Tulsa]. By next check 1540 UT March 15, 1120 is back on the air. There were lots of power outages even unto areas not directly fire-threatened.
690, KGGF Coffeyville KS, almost in OK, is VG as usual, reporting about power outages.
860, KKOW Pittsburg KS, almost in OK too, is JBA, despite 10 kW like KGGF. It`s always somewhat weaker due to higher frequency, but maybe underpowered now. At 2212 heard them mention 97.5, their mere translator, and thought I heard previous callsign KOAM, but maybe I was dreamagining that.
101.9, KTST OKC allowed itself to be interrupted at 2219 by a fire warning concerning north Lincoln County. Did not hear that on any other station, but couldn`t check all of them in time.
91.7, KOSU Stillwater still very much on the air with fire coverage from some TV station pre-empting NPR ATC at 2217.
91.5, gospel huxter in Kansas with big hum and seems mono, at 2217. That`s KSNS Medicine Lodge, almost in OK. Same defect a few days ago as I tuned across. Some months ago we had reports about it being for sale, by locals, tho owned by `Florida Public Radio`. Haven`t kept up with any further news about that. This nothing to do with the wildfires (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 162.475 MHz, WXL48, Enid Weather Radio we can now monitor conveniently as channel 4 on the weather band of our new C Crane Skywave SSB2. KFOR/NBC, KWTV/CBS and KOCO/ABC all blew away their network news at 2230 UT March 14; KWTV did have some time for commercials during the emergency. It and KOCO went back to networx for prime time from 0000 UT March 15, but KFOR kept on wildfire coverage until 0100. KOKH/Fox wasn`t doing much at all, as who needs it? Our sky all afternoon was orange/yellow from all the blowing dust and smoke. A far cry from the absolutely clear view of the Total Lunar Eclipse last night. High winds also caused lots of power outages, but so far not for us (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** SPAIN. 12030, Fri Mar 14 at 2306, token English from SNR, VG S9/+15 into Maryland SDR, backward from ME beam, almost as good as NAm channel 9690 S9+15/30; also SAm`s 17715 JBA S4/S6 and trace of 17755 for Africa. Topic anniversary of something that happened on March 14, 2020 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [non]. 5960, Mar 14 at 2306, no signal direct of VOT English; and shortly no signal either into UTwente except a noisy frequency, nor on possible altmistake 9610, rather Mongolian from China. Furthermore, Mar 15 at 0411 check into UTwente, no VOT on 6125 or 7285. Somethings always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [non]. DOGE criminals have reportedly hit USAGM, starting to close various subsidiary services, before VOA: March 15 at 1836, VOA French still going VG on 15730 BOTSWANA S9+25/30, and at 1841, 12075 via VATICAN, violating Separation Of Church And State. VOA English still going at 1837 on 15580 BOTSWANA; VOA Amharic at 1839 still going via KUWAIT on 13765; all checked via UTwente. Some other VOA languages have been replaced by music, if still on the air, as well as R. Ashna, and Deewa per Jose Jacob. See this: VOA STAFF PUT ON LEAVE AFTER TRUMP ORDERS CUTS, by Nathan Layne: https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/trump-signs-order-gut-voice-america-other-agencies-2025-03-15/ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2286 monitoring: confirmed Friday March 14 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9+30 into Georgia SDR.
Also confirmed Friday March 14 starting a bit late at 2332 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.004-, S8/9+5 into UTwente. But played to 2401 completion.
Also confirmed UT Saturday March 15 at 0300 on WTWW 5085, active again, S9+45/55 direct, but still not on WTWW-2 webcast; and still flanked by JBA spur carriers measured approx. 5072.18 and 5097.82. Over at 0329, then music until 0330.7*
Also confirmed Saturday March 15 at 1550 the 1530 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.001+, S9+10 into UTwente; no problem from weaker S8/S9 on 6165, CRI Pashto via Urumqi, East Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems; also with a warble.
Also confirmed Saturday March 15 at 1700 UT on WRN N America stream: WRN will not early it to 1600 UT for two sesquiweeks until April 5 once UKOGBANI go on summer time.
Also confirmed Saturday March 15 at 1830 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003-, S9+5 into UTwente. Next:
1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM [1900/2100]; 2300 UT Saturday WTWW 9475 [suspended]; 0230vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0400]; 1030 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 to SSE [needs reconfirmation]; 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7570 to NW [and/or 7780]; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1300 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.
Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service program: thanks for a generous contribution from Peter Robinson, Preston UK, via PayPal to: woradio at yahoo.com
Or by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` chex of WBCQs, March 14 at 2353, into Maryland SDR, as NH is busy: 9330 WLCR Portuguese S9+10/20. 7490 -75 Hz = 7489.925, FKB? S9+10/20. 6160 OFF. 5130 OFF. 3265 OFF. But at *2355, 5130 on with IS & ID, S9/+10. March 15 at 0000, 5 & 7 join for WTO theme and AAAWWW, with different talkovers, so new. 0007 `Pirates of the Airwaves` song. First topic is whether Cream Soda is amber-colored. Allan adamantly says yes, Angela goes for pink. Someone sends a shot of `red` cream soda. They spend quite a bit of time debating this earth-shaking topic. How many transmitters do they have? 15, 16 or 17, including backups; but 6 or 10 main ones. Exactly?! At 0021 says also on 9330 and so they are by now. Offers transmitters to Donald and Elon, whom they love; ``we are the real Voice of America`` - is their cream soda spiked? 0024 playing some more music and I doze off. By 0045 reading some Free Radio Weekly items from last week`s issue. 0058 NH SDR opens up so I try 7490, and find the ACI from VOA R Ashna via KUWAIT which remains 0030-0100, and now a problem when it was not last week with AAAWWW a real UT hour later. 0059 prayer and over to Hal Turner (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 780, March 15 at 0640 UT, WBBM with `StarDate` about Spica at its reliable time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED [and non]. 550, March 15 at 0634 UT and still at 0653, 1 kHz tone alternating with loop announcement, approx.: ``This is Westwood One, SES-11, transponder 17, for receiver authorization, please call Denver operations center, 720-873-5177 between 8 am and 10 pm eastern time``. Since when is Denver on EDT? Another instance of Eastern zone hegemony. Same thing I was hearing one week ago during the DST Hour Of Confusion, on WWL and at least tones on several other MW frequencies, but bandscan tonight does not find any others -- however, at 0644 there is dead air on 850 KOA and 870 WWL. 550 dominant signal is most likely KTRS St Louis MO; two Texans, KCRS and KTSA are unfavorable, and KFRM KS is low-powered at night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 1030 kHz, March 15 at 0645 UT, romantic song in Spanish -- oops, the romance is with Jesus. Only two candidates in the NRC AM Log: KCWJ, Blue Springs MO, 500 watts at night and direxional thisaway; or 50 kW daytimer +limited hours KCTA Corpus Christi TX (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9936.0 AM, March 15 at 0618 UT, S8/S9 open carrier except for clix, at the rate of 20/minute = every 3 seconds, JBA out to 9923/9950, +/- 13 or 14 kHz. What is this? Yet another one ending in -6 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 1040, March 14 at 0714, whooper under WHO - only spot heard at the moment, not even under WWL 870 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, March 14 at 0331, Station YHWH, anti-Christ pirate, VG S9+10 into northern Utah SDR, tnx tip from Ron Howard who found him on air early by 0250. I had not heard him direct got s while, mostly listening later than that. Now with good modulation too. 0342 theme? song. 0347 must worship Yahweh alone. 0349 some RTTY QRM on upper side, also some SSB nearby but could not pin it down; quit/off by 0352*. ``Days of Hard Life by Lace from YHWH Pirate Station Opening Nelson Ogden 648 subscribers 1,287 views Oct 14, *2016*
Here is the opening to one of YHWH's shortwave broadcasts. I recorded this from WBCQ's board feed online (not off air) for best sound quality. YHWH used to be a pirate broadcaster, but after being busted by the FCC, no longer operates. He did, however, run two specials on WBCQ 7490 kHz. This is the opening to one of them.
The host has previously quoted this song as "Days of Hard Life" by Lace. The only Lace I can find is a country and western band. This is certainly not their music. In fact, it sounds like it might not even be professionally produced. If it is done by amateur musicians, it is very good, but it just doesn't quite sound professional. Its not perfectly in time, vocals are very bright and harsh. There is heavy compression, but that's probably from WBCQ's audio processor.
I uploaded this for those that are interested in hearing a good quality version of this song. I'm not too interested in YHWH's message.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 780, March 14 at 2035 UT, KSPI Stillwater is OFF the air. There are high winds and wildfires all over OK but I have not seen one close to Stillwater. OKC TV stations are in wall-to-wall coverage all afternoon (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. 26110 NBFM, March 14 at 1520 UT, chat about the MVP in the Central Valley, i.e. KMK282, aux of KOVR ``13`` Stockton/Sacramento CA, S6/S9 direct. Only approaches full quieting above S9 on my meter. 1522 to dead air and turned off. I bandscan 25.9-26.5 MHz without finding any others. On 10m beacon band not even K6FRC on 28300, just XE1JAL/B on 28276 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2286 monitoring: confirmed Friday March 14 at 1300 the first SWBC airing, on WRMI 15770, S9 direct.
Also confirmed Friday March 14 after 2030 on WRMI webcast only, but tune-in at 2048 via Georgia SDR, WRMI 9955 is on the air contrary to sked, but with gospel rock instead of WOR unlike last weeks when one hour later.
Also confirmed Friday March 14 at 2140 the 2130 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.997-, VG S9+5 into UTwente across Europe. Next:

** BRAZIL. WOR indian ocean group reply to my 4885 obs: ``Glenn, I checked the Brasília Kiwi SDR around 0445 UT March 12 and no sign of RCdPará on 4885. The reactivation just for soccer matches idea sounds plausible. At the same time via Brasília I’m hearing Rádio Inconfidência on both 6010 and 15190, as well as RVM on 9665 and 11750, but 5940 still missing. Extremely distorted Rádio Brasil Central on 11815 but nothing on // 4985. Stephen Luce, Houston, Texas`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2286)
** CUBA. RHC A25 schedule from March 9 until November, is much curtailed, other original blox blank, showing only:
Spanish Americas 11-14 & 23-05 6000 Buenos Aires 12-15 & 23-05 15230 Mesa Redonda 22-23 6000 [TV audio, M-F only]
English to NAm 00-06 6000 [contradixion: also as Spanish above] Portuguese SAm 22-23 15230 --- and that is all! (RHC via Chris Campbell, OH)
Takes account of change to UT-4, as a Running Dog of Yankee Imperialism, from March 9, same DST date as in Little Havana FL (Glenn Hauser, WORLD OF RADIO 2286)
** MEXICO [and non]. 1549.82, March 13 at 0507 UT, into Querétaro SDR, songs in English from some UStation, but also het on low side JBA --- and JBV on the waterfall when enlarged. Much too weak to pull any mod from it even by LSB tuning. By 0557 it`s a bit louder and sharper. At 0611 direct, same het/signal JBA on 1549.82.
Now I`m also intrigued by the 1550.0 UStation, as most of them except very far ones, run under 100 watts at night, even in the single digits, allegedly. 1550 ran thru 0600, no ID at 0602 but another song.
Daytime at 1645 UT March 13 into Qro SDR there is a weak line on 1550 as about -16 Hz, but inaudible.
BTW, IRCA Mexican Log 2024 showed two more on 1550, both CPs and presumably not yet on air, XECCAW in Jalisco, XECSGC in QRoo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. (6185), see previous report, continued monitoring of R Educación stream supposedly for 6185, really IDing as 107.9 FM, their outlet in Mérida, Yucatán, at 0139 March 13, otherwise nothing but jazz music after 0000, until 0200 long newscast until 0230, on sked as `Pulso de la Noche` on some of their outlets but not on 6185 sked, followed by another 107.9 ID and back to music. Replies to my earlier report:
``Glenn, at a check around 0515 UT March 13 no sign of XEPPM Radio Educación on 6185 here in Houston. I recall two previous outages lasted a couple of weeks. At least Canada’s last SW broadcaster CFRX still audible on 6070 at the same hour. Stephen Luce, Houston, Texas``
``Hi Glenn, When clicking the on-line audio streaming for 6185 kHz. Onda Corta, it played audio of a different station - https://radioeducacion.edu.mx/emisorasre 6185 still off the air March 13, at 0635 UT, via Kiwi SDR remote at Palomar Mt. (#2), Calif. Ron Howard, Monterey, Calif.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2286)
** U A E. 15420.1+ approx., March 13 at 1445, JBA carrier off-frequency, as expected it`s this site, sked 1400-1500 M-F only in BBC Somali. At other hours, BBC on 15420 via Ascension or Madagascar (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 8992 USB, March 13 at 0038, USAF crypto exercise message, this time with an echo one-word-delayed, so two sites with a satellite or internet connexion? S9+20 here and other //s not checked as I copy the entire message fonetikaly as he say again: HJEYPOGD7UJE2N7LG6A7PI2LU647GF - then ``this is Newband? Newman? Out``. All it takes is one little fade to miss the tactical callsign which is not spelt nor repeated immediately. However, retune at 0051, a totally different crypto msg but not copied, no echo? sounds like same ID, out (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2285 monitoring: confirmed UT Thursday March 13 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, S9/+20 into Bonaire, but JBA direct.

Glenn Hauser logs March 11-12, 2025 |
|
Thursday, March 13 2025
** CANADA. 2598 USB & 2749 USB, March 12 at 0645 UT, NO signals from Canadian CG marine weather stations in NL and NS. DST did begin in most of Canada on March 9 same as the other 48 states, ha ha, and we had been hearing these after 0737 so it seems VCO, VCP et al., are sticking to UT scheduling. Rather than a real hour earlier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA [and non]. 650 kHz, March 12 at 0702 UT, very occasional JBA whooping under WSM. There are a Progreso and a Rebelde on 650 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 1549.82 kHz, March 12 at 0649, still JBA carrier hetting 1550 stations believed to come from XEREL, Morelia, Mich. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 6185-, March 12 at 0631, XEPPM is OFF! Still off at 0917. México`s last SW station, R. Educación, hope not gone for good. Had been reliable late at night, and hardly anything else above 6115; 6160- WBCQ has been drastically curtailed with the departure of TOMBS. WRTH 2025 shows no callsign for 6185, but Señal Cultura México, 1.4 kW at 22-12 UT. EiBi agrees on the hours, but Aoki shows 21-10. There are no longer any DST shifts in most of Mexico. At 2232 I try the KiwiSDRs in MexCy XE1AF, and Qro: nothing on 6185.
At the bottom of this page there is a 6185 program schedule dated March 2025, a lot of blanx, but only between 17 and 24 local time = 23-06 UT. After 06 SW must have been relaying one of their other stations: https://radioeducacion.edu.mx/carta-programatica-del-mes There are also play linx further down page including one for 6185, which does play music at 2305, but suspect is not a live feed. https://s2.mexside.net/cp/widgets/player/single/?p=8178 So anything to hear after 2300 UT March 12? At 2301, 2307, 2325, still nothing on 6185 to either XE remote. At 2344, nothing to Qro tho a thin line on 6180 from Brasil is showing. At 2342 I sent them this message on contacto form:
``Anoche después de la medianoche del miércoles, en mi propio receptor de OC en Oklahoma, ni esta tarde después de las 17 HCM, nada en 6185 por remotos en CDMX y Qro. Es una emisora predilecta para mí. Espero que su última emisora de OC de México pueda volver al aire tan pronto como posible. Favor de explicarme qué pasa? Saludos.`` (Guillermo Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 95.5, March 12 at 1946 UT into caradio, non-ID as K95, then Tulsa ad. So this is KWEN, 100/100 kW in Tulsa, but per WTFDA FM DB, it`s `K-95 FM` but the hyphen was *not* pronounced. Adding to the confusion are two other 95.5 around here only, with almost same branding! KITX, 50/50 kW in far Hugo, SE Oklahoma, `K95.5 FM` both country; and KAHE, 100/100 kW, Dodge City KS, `Super Hits K95` no hyphen, i.e. Classic Hits format. At least there are no further ones if respelt ``Kay/95`` (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** PUERTO RICO. 391 MCW kHz, March 12 at 0644 UT, DDP San Juan/DoraDo beacon is JBA, always a welcome sign of good propagation, the only one outside N America I ever hear. DXinfocentre.com and RNA Signals List continue to conflict about its power, 1000 vs 2000 watts resp. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** ROMANIA. 11730, March 12 at 0625, RRI concluding French with satellite and contact info, and IS, S9+20, SSOB way above e.g. France 11700 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN. 12030, Wed Mar 12 at 2308, token English from SNR is finally back on its ME frequency, S9/+10 backwards into Maryland SDR, almost as good as NAm 9690, S9+10/20; 17715 or SAm also VG S9/+15, but 17755 for Af JBA S5/S7. 12030 axually resumed March 11, a non-English Tuesday, as reported by JRX in Brasil. Topic at 2315 today something about the treatment of human remains in museums (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.004, March 12 at 2255, S9+35/40 into UTwente, VOT IS & IDs in English, not off the air today unlike yesterday, nor was 9610 in extraneous Italian at 2235, just Mongolian from China. 2300 TS and s/on as if it`s 1330 on 13635 and into olds; no time to listen further today, as I am checking XEPPM et al.; until 2344 when the multi-lingual ID filler reel is playing. 2346 music. 2351 s/off as if 1330 on 13635, awry, a little earlier than usual and IS plays for a while atop the Chinese understation until uncovered at 2355.7* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 407 MCW kHz, March 12 at 0645 UT, ND beacon HRU is JBA. Finally confirmed not off the air, but much weaker than it used to be: 25 watts at Herington KS. RNA signals list had it last logged 2024-12-29 so maybe had been off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 420 MCW kHz, March 12 at 0645 UT, ND beacon FQ, 25 watts at `Montz` Fairmont MN. Sometimes hear the much closer 25 W, PK at Olathe/Herbb KS, but not now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2285 monitoring: ``Richard Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, From the desk of Richard’s listening Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF (30 years of service), Antenna: random long wires in the trees. WRMI, USA, World of Radio #2285, Missed the first part forgot about the time change, 9395 kHz, QRN, 2355, 2357, 2358 (4-55433), 2359, March 11 UTC 2025 [Wed](Lemke, Richard -AB)``
Confirmed Tuesday March 11 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S5/S7 into Valley City ND SDR, more or less in direxion aimed.
Also confirmed Wednesday March 12 at 2043 the 2030 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003-, S9/+10 into UTwente.
Also confirmed Wednesday March 13 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 -76 Hz = 7489.924, S9/+15 into NH SDR; following gospel huxter at 2057, presumably TOMBS like 9930 WTWW, cut off at 2059 for ID. Again, no more Pirate Joe`s Extravaganzo just before us. See separate entry. Next:
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

** U S A. 7489.924, Wed Mar 13 at 2057, TOMBS gospel huxter on WBCQ instead of `Pirate Joe Extravaganzo` as still on outdated WBCQ sked, nor was he on last week. What about the other alleged times? Not ``EST`` but UT here: M-F 20-21, Tue also 19-20, with this blurb:
``To quote an article written about Pirate Joe in Roll Magazine: "The Pirate Joe Country Music Radio Show and Old Blues and R&B Extravaganzo" features music from the vintage collection and airs Tuesday through Thursday from 3-6 PM. J.P. is never afraid to provide a more left-leaning viewpoint to counter the roar of the AM right as well. "Look, the rules of the game are, if you're doing anything worthwhile, you're probably not going to make money at it. It's inversely proportional. If you're doing garbage, you are going to get rich. And as we become more of a corp-tatorship, that trend is only going to get worse." Might as well just enjoy the music, then. And with Pirate Joe the music is always a blend of truly Classic American Music that you rarely get to hear and will always appreciate and enjoy`` -- JP and AW go way back, but one wonders if AW`s dedication to Free Speech reaches its limit (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. WTWW: George McClintock messages me circa 2225 UT March 12 that #2 transmitter is back in service, so if nothing further happens, should be going for WOR UT Sat 0300 on 5085. Still no return to 9475, it seems. 5085 not yet on the air today by 2400, but should be later (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 770, March 12 at 0704 UT, WABC NYC disclaimer and singing ID overcoming KKOB NM, normally dominant here with its 12.5 kW ND STA. Are they restoring ballooned tower to resume U2 50/50 kW protecting WABC? The 230-watt 770 at night relay in Santa Fe is reported out of synch with ABQ, but I never hear an echo. It ought not to be necessary while on ND STA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 830, March 12 at 0707 UT, dead air from WCCO, but only for a minute or so from tune-in, whew (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 1460 kHz, March 12 at 0651 UT, plug Fox Sports Radio via iHeart app. Most likely KXNO Des Moines IA, U2 5/5 kW, NE/SW at night. I was listening for Punjabi or something Asian, as KBRZ, Missouri City [Houston] TX has been reported from Washington state, U1 5000/125 watts (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 1510 kHz, March 12 at 0654 UT, two stations clashing at equal levels, one with `C2CAM`, the other sports talk. At night, clear channel WLAC Nashville TN should own the frequency, as most other 1510s in mid-America must be daytimers only. At 0659 one of them mentions 94.5 FM: Bingo, that`s KCTE Independence MO, 10 kW DAYTIMER direxional SSW right toward us. 94.5 is a mere translator K233DM of ``ESPN Kansas City``. WLAC is the C2CAM affiliate per NRC AM Log (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 810.56 kHz, March 12 at 0706 UT, JBA carrier still hetting 810.0 WHB KC, MO. I`m going to keep logging this and reporting it until I, or someone can help pin it down (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 1680 kHz, March 12 at 0652 UT, deadair atop weakers, presumably my closest and dominator, KRJO Monroe LA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 3312.0, March 12 at 0633-0637 UT, weak carrier, and more just like it approx. 3280.6, 3296.3, 3359.2, i.e. about 15.75 kHz apart. Bingo: No doubt radiation from some analog TV set, maybe neighbor. All sets in this house are ``off`` but some plugged in, so in standby mode; 15.734 as explained here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/audioengineering/comments/2mszh4/whats_up_with_this_spike_at_around_157khz_on_the/?rdt=56556 These would be harmonix in the 200+ range! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 4885, March 12 at 0917 UT awaken check, JBA carrier, presumably Korea as Brasil should be much stronger if on at all (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9236.0, March 12 at 0621, again the open carrier except for regular clix, S8/S9 direct. Unlike before when the clix were exactly every second, now they are timed at about 21 per minute, and audible out to 9221/9251 or +/- 15 kHz. What is this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
