DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS updated July 7: http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
WORLD OF RADIO SCHEDULE updated July 7: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html A-19 SW SCHEDULE LINX are on homepage: http://www.worldofradio.com NEW HAUSER INTERVIEW In May, Charlie VanSant, a WLW alumnus, interviewed me for his show `Monitor` on Cincinnati RRS, June 27. Here it is, 10.3 MB, 28:34: http://www.w4uvh.net/HauseronMonitor20190627.mp3 This has been added to linx for other gh interviews at the bottom of http://www.worldofradio.com/audiomid.html (Glenn Hauser, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CHINA. 12880, July 7 at 1317, CNR1 jammer, S9-S6 during Sunday evening cultural show, dramatic music and narration stronger than // 11540 13070, July 7 at 1317, CNR1 jammer, S3-S4 13150, July 7 at 1317, JBA carrier maybe another jammer; unlisted Aoki. No, that would be local mix of 11760 RHC + 1390 KCRC 10960, July 7 at 1319, JBA carrier, maybe another; listed as vs SOH relaying RFA. No other WOOB ones found 10-15 MHz (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** KOREA SOUTH. 15575, July 7 at 1356, KBS World Radio hits S6 but totally unreadable, allegedly in English. They told Alan Holder, Isle of Wight, that from July 8, full power of 250 kW would be restored, after almost a year reduced to 100. Will it be 2.5 times stronger? Ha, that`s not how it worx. Far more effective would be moving to 9 or 11 MHz band, or even better arranging a relay if they really care to be heard in North America (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9475, July 7 at 1939, WTWW-1 is on day frequency instead of night frequency, but only S9 peaks and JBM with PPPPP. Certainly ailing (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 10550, July 7 at 1320, that open carrier at S6-S5 punxuated by clix about once a second (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1955 UT July 7

** BRAZIL. 9630, 9664, 9725, 9818, 11815, 11856, July 7 at 0147-0148, notable by their absence, not even JBA carriers from the mostly off-frequency ZYs. Nor 11780 which I assume is off now, tho regularly active earlier. The others seem to be disappearing from the ether one by one. Or: curtailed skeds, and/or péssima propagação, as Carlos Gonçalves, Portugal has reported all these except 9725 and 11856 in late June at other dayparts; plus also 9515, 9550 and 11895 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 6000, July 7 at 0132, RHC is suptorted S9+20/30, JBM, but I can recognize it`s Arnie ending his other show `Breakthru`. Only // 6165, at 0135 is S9+25/35 and undermodulated but sufficient by comparison now in jazz show. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 4765, July 7 at 0156, still no signal from R. Progreso. If anyone ever hear it again, be sure to report; nominal sked was 0030-0400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** IRAN. 7260, July 7 at 0140 tune-in to music on AM, then a bit of dead air and off, so I wonder if it`s an ham screwing around; until I uplook 7260 in EiBi to find Iran in Spanish to Caribbean listed during this hour. Lawless nation: ¿what are they doing broadcasting inside the 40m hamband into our Hemisphere? 11660, July 7 at 0149 tune-in, convenient ID immediately in Spanish for VRII, poor-fair S4-S7. This one from Sirjan to Central America scheduled 2350-0250 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) See also UNID 6151.5-USB ** KUWAIT. 17549.97, July 6 at 2225, R. Kuwait, JBA in Arabic, and again by this hour both the Strongest Signal On Band, and Only Signal On Band; knocked off-frequency just to make it more interesting, taking over that task from RHC which now is right on 15370 and 7380 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6875-USB, UT Sun July 7 at 0137, dense rock music at S9, no pauses or announcements past 0200. Many reports here https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,55749.0.html starting at 0033, and no ID until 0202 as Mix Radio International; if only I had stayed with it 2 minutes longer --- but I`m already late for `Weekend Radio` on WCLV. HFU guys report it still going at 0240. First pirate I`ve heard in quite some time except for YHWH (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 11980, July 6 at 0529, VOT is S9+10/S8, so despite my previous comment, would be enough to enjoy some music, except it`s all Turkish talk now, and somewhat muffled (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1989 monitoring: confirmed UT Saturday July 6 at 0130 on WRMI 7780, fair but not enough vs high local noise level. Also reported by Mark Coady, Ontario: ``7780 USA WRMI at 0144 with Glenn Hauser's “World of Radio” - Fair July 6`` Ivo Ivanov, Bulgaria, reports: ``GERMANY, Reception of World of Radio via HLR on 6190 CUSB, July 6 https://swldxbulgaria.blogspot.com/2019/07/reception-of-world-of-radio-via-hlr-on_6.html 0631-0700 6190 GOH 001 kW / 230 deg CeEu English Sat, weak signal`` I try not to be awake before 1200 UT, but Mark Coady, Ontario reports: ``9955 USA WRMI at 1155 with Glenn Hauser's “World of Radio” - Fair to Good July 6`` NOT confirmed Sat July 6 at 1430 on HLR 9485-USB; no signal at all via UTwente SDR, just huge splash from 9490 Romania. As usual. Confirmed Sat July 6 at 2109 the 2100 on WRMI 9955, fair-good. Also confirmed UT Sun July 7 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, S9+40/50, yet can still hear some nearby lightning crashes from SE Kansas if not West Texas. Fill music overlaps my introduxion, and even more of it overlaps my outroduxion just before 0159. Next broadcast may not be, as at 0158 I am getting no signal on 1860 kHz AM from WA0RCR, Wentzville MO; still no signal at 0328 when WOR would be playing; despite S9+10 high local noise level, I can still detect an LSB ham on 1940 kHz. Next: 1030 UT Sunday HLR 7265-CUSB Germany to WSW 2130 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to NE 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 7780-new to NE 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 [maybe also 9330?] to WSW 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 to SSE 0930 UT Monday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW, ND 1816 UT Monday IRRS 7290 Romania, ND 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 0800 UT Tuesday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW [2 editions], ND 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 to SSE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW, ND Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. [it appears we will now be running on a Friday-to-Thursday cycle, so freshest new airings are on weekends] Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 9330.00, Friday July 5 at 2343, WBCQ-6 with `Radio TimTron Worldwide``, S9+30/20. Getting to be a habit in the hour before AAAWWW, but presumably not any more once the flat-earthers take over. 9330.00, UT Saturday July 6 at 0000, WBCQ-6 starting `Angela and Allan Weiner WorldWide` with Wm. Tell Ov., says quadricasting on all 4 frequencies, but no point in my bothering with the other three. Now I am hearing slight overmodulation/distortion for the first time on this bigsig --- need to back off the mod level just a tad, or as kvz would say, a titch. I`m otherwise busy so leave it to our correspondent in mid-north Indiana, John H. Carver, Jr.: Tonight's show started about a minute early after a couple minutes of fill music with voiceovers by Allan. Listening on 9330 this evening. Allan and Angela in the studio complaining about the heat in Maine. Angela is half naked according to Allan and he ended up taking his shirt off. Freddie is on the phone by 0007. Talk of heat, 4th of July, mowing grass and tractors. Allan and Angela were off last week for an antique auto tour. Freddie off the phone at 0036 allowing Tony Straka to phone in. Allan says WLC will start broadcasting on Monday and so next week they will be turning the antenna to hit different areas of the world. Phone call from Freddie again at 0043 asking Allan if he could run an episode of Trailer Trash Radio over the superstation. Allan says he will have to find the old tapes, have someone transfer one to a CD so it could be broadcast on the new transmitter and would have to be done this weekend as WLC starts Monday. Reading of emails at 0048 and a phone call from Larry Will after the first email stating that he had access to the Trailer Trash tapes and could transfer the episode that Freddie wants to the station. More email at 0053 and immediately another phone call. Back to email and phone call at 0056. Back to email. Automation cuts Allan off at 0100 and then fades down and Allan is faded up again. Closing prayer at 0101. Program was off the air at 0104`` At 0440 recheck I notice that 9330.00 is playing VORW. 9330.00, Sat July 6 around 2100 not on yet, but at 2207, unfamiliar DJ is playing tunes he says are all from YouTube videos (so no copyright concerns?), billed as ``WBCQ Shakedown Cruise``. Nice eclectic selexion including ``Guantanamera`` at 2221. Too-quick closing at 2259 gave name and website neither of which I could catch; and 2300 into another TimTron giving today`s date (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 6 at 1941, yet again WTWW-1 is on night frequency in the day, S7-S8 seems dead air, but straining, I think I can hear it JBM. Nothing on 9475. By 2232 recheck, 9475 has finally come up with SFAW. 5085, Sat July 6 at 2335, WTWW-2 starts `Theatre Organ in the Ozarx` only five minutes late, and lasts only 28 minutes! until 2403. After Bob Heil`s opening, no further announcements heard, just continuous music, which of course I am really enjoying in $ tereo on webcast (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7505, July 7 at 0142, S9+35 of dead air from WRNO. Their live air never has anything worth listening to anyway (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, July 7 at 0329 UT, ad for something in Mackinaw City, so it`s surely still WJNL in Traverse City market, dominant now over KGYN even on the east-west longwire. Prompted by my inquiry, Don Hosmer now reports it to the WOR iog: ``I live 60 miles east and just south of WJNL's Kingsley xmtr site. I am hearing the Jim Bohannon show from 0315 to present 7/06 on 1210 kHz. I get a fair signal using my directional W6LVP loop aimed at Kingsley. But on my longwire and G5RV dipoles, co-channel Philadelphia station WPHT (IDed at 0355) overpowers WJNL. No sign of their sister station WJML 1110 kHz which is a 10 KW daytimer vs. WJNL's 50 KW. I don't regularly listen to MW and can't tell if they are stronger than in the past. Don Hosmer, W8SWL, West Branch MI USA`` Thanks, Don; from your obs, and my sufficient but not strong receptions, WJNL may not be running the full 50 kW ND at night; maybe the 2.5 kW critical-hours power which they should be using anyway before sundown sign-off [non] and after sunrise sign-on [non] (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 6151.5-USB, July 7 at 0134, weak 2-way INTRUDERS in Spanish. Amazngly, at this time no broadcast signals are to be heard on 49m band between 6070 CFRX and JBA carrier on 6155, which would be Zahedan, Iran in Arabic until 0230 (and I see in EiBi, immediately followed by BBC in Farsi for an hour via Uzbekistan; what a coincidence) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) see also IRAN This report despatched at 0407 UT July 7

** CHINA. 12870, July 5 at 1333, CNR1 jammer at S8-S9.
13550, July 5 at 1334, CNR1 jammer at S6-S8 14850, July 5 at 1335, CNR1 jammer at S5-S7. All three are //. This time I did not dig further for carriers or beyond the 12-15 MHz range. Wolfgang Bueschel reminds us of his exhaustive survey of SOH/jammers from April 6, which he has just rechecked via remote receivers in E Asia, in the 1158-1600 UT period: he was not hearing 12870 or 13550 at whatever time he went by, and had not yet reached 14850 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 12000, July 5 at 1309, `Amigos de Cuba` friends-only mailbag, S5-S8 here on second harmonic of 6000 at S9+10. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 11850, July 5 at 2140, RHC Spanish here is JBM, much softer than // 11760. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 15369.22, July 5 at 2145, S9 RHC Spanish knocked itself way off-frequency from 15370.0. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** KUWAIT. 17550.0, July 5 at 2144, JBA carrier amid Radio Kuwait`s optimistic Arabic quadrihour for C & W North America nevertheless qualifies as both the SSOB and OSOB (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NORTH AMERICA. 7470, July 5 at 0300, VP carrier vs noise level, then barely recognize Josiah on Station YHWH just as expected. Others confirm him on here tonight; Rick Barton, AZ heard him cut on at 0243, and Walt Salmaniw, BC says he was already off when he tuned in at 0353 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1989 monitoring: confirmed first N American SW broadcast, Friday July 5 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, fair S7-S8. Next: 0130 UT Saturday WRMI 7780 too NE 0629vUT Saturday HLR 6190-CUSB Germany to WSW 1000 UT Saturday Unique Radio 3210-USB NSW [July 6, 20...] non-dir 1130 UT Saturday WRMI 9955 to SSE 1430 UT Saturday HLR 9485-CUSB Germany to WSW 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM non-direxional 2100 UT Saturday WRMI 9955 to SSE 0130 UT Sunday WRMI 5850 to NW 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315] N-D 1030 UT Sunday HLR 7265-CUSB Germany to WSW 2130 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to NE 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 7780-new to NE 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 [maybe also 9330?] to WSW 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 to SSE 0930 UT Monday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW, ND 1816 UT Monday IRRS 7290 Romania, ND 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 0800 UT Tuesday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW [2 editions], ND 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 to SSE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW, ND Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. 9330.00, UT Fri July 5 at 0307, WBCQ-6 at S9+30/40 exclaiming ``marijuana`` several times, ``Radio Free Euphoria`` and then a song about dope. RFE is really on the WBCQ sked only at 02-03 UT Sun on 5130+v, i.e. part of Area 51. HF Underground archive has many logs of RFE when it was really a pirate on 42mb, mostly in the 2009-2012 era. 9330.00, Fri July 5 at 2137, WBCQ-6 obviously the antique music of `Behaviour Night` which is scheduled this hour on 7490.1v --- also there but *not* // and not synchronized, VP with line noise level cutting on and off, mostly on. I continue listening to 9330 for next announcement saying he is commemorating the birthday of Bix Beiderbecke, March 10, 1903 --- so this episode is obviously an archived one from March of some year --- if an exact match, it could not be 2019 since March 10 was on a Sunday. Presumably the barely audible episode on 7490.1v is a ``new`` one. 9330.00, July 5 at 2200 goes into another oldie show, giving frequency as ``7.415``, two hyper DJs but no title heard. 7490 sounds like Brother Scare now as usual during this weekday hour. Soon there is to be a lot more of him on 7490.1v, filling ``all`` unsold time, since he can no longer be on 9330.1v at all (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, July 5 at 0541, WTWW-2 again with `Pete Santilli Show` of far-right talk. I suspect it start around 0400 weeknights, after DJ rock music strip (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 1210, UT Fri July 5 at 0318 UT, Jim Bohannon show, soon breaking for an adstring, including AARP, MSF PSAs; Pace Publishing, babbel.com. With usual ~3 Hz SAH against KGYN. From previous research I`m certain this is still 50 kW daytimer WJNL, Kingsley MI, cheating at night. Recheck at 0600, ``WJNL News`` ID and bong before some network news. I thought the Michigan ARE Tipsheet would be interested in this, but despite my numerous previous logs of this almost nightly since June 24, no notice of WJNL; no MAREs reported it either nor anybody I can find since then. Is anyone paying attention? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 2303 UT July 5

** ANTARCTICA. 15476-, Thu July 4 at 1416, JJBBA carrier slightly on the low side, signature of LRA36 on the air; as confirmed by Manuel Méndez, Spain, later, extremely weak around 1900. I cannot detect it at 1915 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CHINA. 7730, July 4 at 1248, VP in Chinese; and a JBA carrier on 7570. Better known as WRMI frequencies, but now surely CNR1 jammers. WRMI 7570 is apparently still off the air like it was last night, instead of with SMTV as scheduled 11-14 UT. However, CNR1 jamming would not be expected until 1300 VOA Mandarin hour via Thailand start. 7730 is a Sound of Hope, Taiwan frequency 23 hours a day and thus subject to continuous jamming (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) See also USA: WEWN ** CUBA. 6000, July 4 at 0132, RHC English in mailbag, suptorted; // 6165 is on now JBM but less suptorted. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 11670, July 4 at 0138, RHC Spanish is JBM, much softer than // 11700, 11760, 11850 --- it`s more like the JBA spurs on 11840 & 11860. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA [and non]. 9535, July 4 at 0541, RHC Spanish is still running now colliding with Algeria in Arabic via FRANCE, which is on 9535 at 05-06 only, expecting it to be clear! Sometimes RHC past 0500 on 9535 has switched to English feed, not this time. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** MEXICO. 6185, July 4 at 0135, music from XEPPM, back on the air after about a week out of air, S9+10/20 but that includes the high local line noise level. Manuel Méndez, Spain, reported it earlier, and Ron Howard too, who forwards this: ``from Facebook (WRTH), from Luis Alejandro Vallebueno: "Radio Educación XEEP, 6185 kHz has been reactivated today [July 2] at 18:00 GMT with 1.5 kW. Information via Julián Santiago Díez de Bonilla and Pilar Cruz"``. Original rated power as in WRTH 2019 was 10 kW. We used to hear directly from JSDB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1989, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 4 at 1923, S5-S7 carrier, no doubt VON maybe still in English but can`t hear any (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** TURKEY. 11980, July 4 at 0545, ME music, VP S5-S7. HFCC shows it`s VOT Turkish at 04-06, 500 kW at 310 degrees toward W Europe and also USward. In previous years this transmission was listenable here for the music, but not with solar flux below 70 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1988 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday July 3 at 2100 on WRMI 9955, and finally *not* upcut, automation back in alignment after IS & ID loop, S7 vs S6 noise level when tuned to next vacant frequency. However, *no* signal, not even a carrier audible from simulcast on WBCQ 7490+v, and despite HNL, generally VP summer reception, think that transmitter is not on air. However2, WOR confirmed on webcast check at 2128, again followed by the variable-key singing of the late Goddess Irina I at 2130. WOR 1988 also confirmed UT Thu July 4 at 0116 the 0100 on WRMI 7780, JBA vs S9+10 local noise level, seems from nearby powerline; worst on the lower SW bands and also peaking amid the MW band around 1200 kHz. WORLD OF RADIO 1989 contents: Austria, China, Cook Islands, Cuba, Denmark, Guatemala, India, Iran and non, Korea South, México, Nigeria, North America, Norway, Romania, Russia, Solomon Islands, USA, unidentified; and the propagation outlook WOR 1989 completed by 2000 UT Thursday July 4, ready for first SW broadcasts Friday: 1000 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW 2200 UT Friday WRMI 9955 0130 UT Saturday WRMI 7780 0629vUT Saturday HLR 6190-CUSB Germany 1000 UT Saturday Unique Radio 3210-USB NSW [July 6, 20...] 1130 UT Saturday WRMI 9955 1430 UT Saturday HLR 9485-CUSB Germany 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 2100 UT Saturday WRMI 9955 0130 UT Sunday WRMI 5850 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315] 1030 UT Sunday HLR 7265-CUSB Germany 2130 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 7780-new 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 [maybe also 9330?] 0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 0930 UT Monday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW 1816 UT Monday IRRS 7290 Romania 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 0800 UT Tuesday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW [2 editions] 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 0930 UT Friday Unique Radio 5045-USB NSW Also check 9330 WBCQ for unscheduled airings during testing phase. 9330.00, July 3 at 2100, WBCQ-6 is on at S9+25, opening another `Allan Weiner Worldwide` playback from when it was ``live`` on 7490 and 5130, sometime last year when Angela was just a girlfriend, `half-nekkid`, as it was 85 degrees (in Fla) and they were just back from a Caribbean cruise – I remember hearing that the first time. Meanwhile, cannot detect any signal at all on 7490+v when World of Radio should be airing. 9330.00, UT Thu July 4 at next check 0117, a very mean-sounding talk host must be Hal Turner as scheduled weekly, 01-03 on WBCQ 7490+v, and which frequency is still undetectable here; confirmed as such by same thing // if not synchronized on 9455 WRMI, which activates this frequency only on Wednesday night for Turner, flanked by an hour before and after of BS. 9330.00, UT Thu July 4 at 0330, VORW gets a chance on WBCQ-6 500 kW, John in a mailbag acknowledging first-name-only reports mostly of 9395 (WRMI). May not know he`s on 9330 right now; then music requests 3-in-a-row. Don`t expect anything but World`s Last Chance ministry on 9330 starting July 8 unless that target date slip again (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7570, July 4 at 0125, this WRMI is unusually off the air while 7730, 7780 are still going; and 9455 with Hal Turner // 9330 WBCQ but not 7490 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 7505v, July 4 at 0124, WRNO is on again with gospel music at S9/+10. Strangely with regular fading about once per second, like a subaudible het --- in this case I can`t imagine from what, as HFCC shows nothing else scheduled now; Goa and Dushanbe are on 7505 at other dayparts. Self-imposed transmitter problem? 0327 recheck now WRNO in Chinese, so still some `Grace for Today` even if not all-night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1989, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 15825, Wed July 3 at 2105, WWCR gets sporadic E boost to S9+5, nice flamenco classical guitar music, ``olé`` and 2106 starting ``Luz para las Rosas`` by the ``ministerio Hermana Rosa de Hierro`` (Sister Iron Rose), what a name. Perhaps that is a subset of what`s on the program sked Wed at 2100-2130 on WWCR-1: `La Voz Alegre` with Rex Morgan. That would be same as the Spanish service from Madagascar World Voice, which axually originates in nearby Franklin TN (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5085, UT Wed July 4 at 0325, WTWW-2 is off, no rock DJ tonight, altho 5830 WTWW-1 remains on with undermodulated SFAW. Next check at 0535, 5085 still off and could easily overcome the S9+10 line noise level if it were on; while 5830 is S9+20/30 of dead air. So no Pete Santilli far-right talk show tonight on 5085. Altho he said he was on 3 hours a night UT Tue-Sat, he might be on SW only two nights a week, as I heard UT Tue & Wed on WTWW. 5085, next2 check, UT Fri July 5 at 0105, plug for a ``pray for me`` circle at WTWW, 0107 a Ted ham ad, 0108 hymn, so no more rock DJ even when on? No, 0119 Ted intro Motown music; at 0200 ``Greatest Hits of All Time``, Ted`s night to DJ, 0203 Herman`s Hermits. Modulation now is annoyingly distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENNG DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 4 at 1921, again today, WTWW-1 stays on night frequency all day – S9 but high noise level, at first seems dead air, then JBM; nothing on 9475 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A [and non]. 9470, July 4 at 1256, ``Salve Regina`` from WEWN but also a fast SAH from something in Chinese. Altho WEWN targets the FE in English about to close at 1300, 9470 is a very busy frequency, with CNR1 jamming RTI at 12-13. I`ll bet no one hears EWTN over there (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 10550, July 4 at 1259-1300+, S2-S4 carrier open except for some clix about once per second; what? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) UNIDENTIFIED. 11825, July 4 at 1305, open carrier/dead air. Maybe VOA Mandarin via Thailand not turned off at 1300 or CNR1 jamming of same. If it were off-frequency 11825.5, per EiBi at 1300-1330 it would be FEBC Hong Kong via Bocaue, Philippines in the KHA dialect of Tibetan. This signal much stronger than the CNR1 jammer still running on 11785 vs VOA Philippines (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 0229 UT July 5

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer hunt July 3 finds the following:
10550, July 3 at 1316, JBA carrier --- maybe not, unlisted 10960, July 3 at 1316, Chinese from CNR1 jammer 11440, July 3 at 1317, CNR1 jammer much stronger than 11460 12820, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer in Chinese, S1-S2 12870, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer best of all S4-S5. No further WOOB ones found. The five above all check in EiBi as CNR1 jammers against Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** CUBA. 12200, July 3 at 0558, RHC English is S7-S9 and still past 0602+, second harmonic of 6100; and 12200 is the SSOB! Somewhat stronger than 11610 WEWN, everything else on 25m JBA carriers. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 3 at 0558, no signal from VON here, nor on 7254.9 nor 9689.9; however shortly after 0600, Ivo Ivanov, Bulgaria, found it ``weak`` back on 7254.9 which I did not check again (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. Allan Weiner imminent on Amateur Radio Roundtale, W5KUB.com Artie Bigley forwards these twits from Tom Medlin @w5kub ``Tues 8 PM Central on http://w5kub.com Allan Weiner once pirrate radio and now licensed station. see the new super station 500,000 watts and 23 db antenna. Most powerful in the u.s. (intl time Wed 0100) @amatradio #swl #shortwave #hamr 9:39 PM - 30 Jun 2019 Tom Medlin @w5kub 6h6 hours ago Tom Medlin Retweeted Tom Medlin Its going to be a big show. http://w5kub.com at 8 PM central (0100 UTC Wed) Tom Medlin added, Tom Medlin @w5kub 2h2 hours ago dont forger our net on 7.180 tonight at 5:30 PM central. then the live show on http://w5kub.com at 8 PM central. if you tune in to http://w5kub.com during the net you will see your smeter. @sar_news @qrznow @dxcoffee @amatradio #ham radio #hamr #swl #shortwave`` The broadcast is normally on hard-to-hear 5130+v WBCQ; on this occasion maybe also on 500 kW 9330, but not mentioned by Tom. AW said something about that previously, or was it last week? Yes, an earlier twit from Tom publicized AW being on the show June 25! So is this in addition to or instead of? (Glenn Hauser, 0010 UT July 3, WOR iog via DXLD) Yes, tonight on http://tmedlin.com/video-2-2/ Gets to AW audio-only on the phone interview at 0115, at first very undermodulated. And yes, now also on 9330, but bad distortion level, then improving. At 0100, 9330 had switched from an AWWW playback to WHVW feed, so I figured Amateur R Roundtable would not be on that. So far it`s just about AW`s early pirate or ``civil disobedience`` radio days. Silly me, I started out watching a W5KUB ``live stream`` of Tom messing with the computer, until I read the fine print -- it was from 2016, which hardly qualifies as live now. ``Live stream`` naming should be deleted after the fact. Then I found the real live stream which was about 8 seconds apart from 9330. Later that had been reduced to only one second. Among the info gleaned from what AW said on this interview: WBCQ=6 is not full 500 kW power yet, but almost. Will be in a couple of days. (This contradicts previous info from WBCQ that it had been up to 500 kW for several days now.) ERP is almost 20 megawatts at 9 MHz. The 200-ton Ampegon antenna is precisely balanced and can be moved by hand rather than two 3 hp motors, very quietly. 9330 is currently aimed 270 degrees true, toward Mexico and Central America (no, that would be 240 degrees or less). It takes 2.5 minutes for the antenna to rotate 360 degrees. Has TimTron hooked his ham rig up to the Ampegon? Not yet. Tom would like to do that when he visit Monticello. The very large final tube cost $ 80K. Another one for standby is on order. 5130 transmitter is #2. WBCQ property occupies 200 acres (earlier he gave a smaller figure over 100). The Weiners live in a house ``down the road`` and there is no RF overload problem at ground level from the 500 kW. Will have new QSL cards for the first time in 20 years. But AW hardly has spare time to send them. Please include SASEs. The entire interview lasted until 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 5830, July 2 at 1932, WTWW-1 is still on night frequency, not 9475. I hear that Ted is in a wheelchair, so may have mobility issues getting to and from and around inside the station. But shouldn`t it be remote-controlled for frequency changes?? 5085, UT Wed July 3 at 0610, WTWW-2 is on again with the Pete Santilli far-right talk show, plugging his survivalist food; guest on phone is ``Ben Time Traveler``, still going at 0621. Haven`t found when this start and if rock DJ lineup earlier be curtailed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. 17775, July 2 at 1933, missing earlier, now KVOH is S5-S6 and modulating (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1654 UT July 3
