Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB -- regarding the surprise showup of
LRA36 on Saturday December 4, Manuel Méndez, who monitors it closely
directly into Spain, writes me (in my translation):

I was surprised to find it on the air so late in the season, since I
believed they would have finished for this year. In fact, they have
not replied via Whatsapp since about September 20 and left a pile of
reception reports unanswered, despite having said they would be
sending QSLs. So this year`s crew left a lot to be desired in listener
contact, nor did they produce a farewell program.

I think that what happened last Saturday was a somewhat bored
operator, who decided to turn it on and put out a pre-recorded
program. I heard it for only 10 minutes, closing at 1555. We`ll have
to be attentive on Wednesday, since I imagine this far into December
they will be packing their bags to return to Argentine mainland.

We hope that next year the four women taking over the station will be
more dedicated to their work. Cordial greetings, Manuel Mendez``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ARGENTINA. 10000, LOL: Horacio Nigro, who tipped us about the
expanded eclipse schedule on Dec 4, has this extensive story about the
history of LOL and latest developments; in Spanish:

https://lagalenadelsur.wordpress.com/2021/12/04/argentina-lol-observatorio-naval-la-estacion-horaria-y-de-frecuencia-patron-estandar/
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 7340, Dec 6 at 1542, RHC back on 40m in the mornings, S9 but
noisy by now, // 15140, 15230, 13700, 11760, but apparently not in the
tardes. Another change from the ``official`` B21 sked. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT [non]. 9900v, Dec 6 at 2158, no signal from R. Cairo into
UTwente, but at *2200 a JBA carrier, occasionally locking at .000.
Someone reported that`s a CNR1 jammer on early to block Taiwan from
*2230. Indeed at 2238 direct I have JBA Chinese. Alan Holder, Isle of
Wight says Cairo was on air in English Dec 3-4-5 with great variations
in modulation from day to day (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Mon Dec 6 at 2314, VOT English is S9+30 into UTwente,
and VG modulation except for lite humbuzz, and a bit of CCI, Chinese?
At this hour after press review, a feature on coping with dandruff! I
suspect in my 64 years of SWL, that`s a first. Until 2320 in the
`Feeling Supreme` show, or is it `Healing`? After music break, next
show at 2325 is `New Day, New Choices` about coffee and whether
children should drink it. ``Turkish`` coffee originated in Yemen
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2115 monitoring: after NEXUS/IBA
ID, confirmed Sunday December 5 at 2100 on IRRS via AM Italia, 918
kHz, S9+20, lite CCI into Noale SDR.

Also confirmed Sunday December 5 at 2344 the 2330 on WRMIs: into ATS
909 portable, good on 5950, fair on 9955. Should have checked 4980.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 6 at 0046 the 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG
direct.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 6 at 0148 the 0130 on WRMI 9395,
poor direct on ATS-909.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 6 at 0240 the 0230 on WRN North
America webcast.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 6 at 0400 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160-,
no signal into MO SDR but S4-S5 vs storm crashes into Maryland, -54 Hz
offset = 6159.946. Next:

2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed?]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S

Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts:

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary
support. Thanks this week to Doug Brown, London, Ontario for a
generous US$ cheque on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
and comments, ``Thanks for another year of great information and DX
tips.``One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US
funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 9455, Dec 6 at 1550, JBA carrier, not WRMI-5 which has
been missing over a week. At 15-16 it would be CRI Chinese via
Kunming; 16-17 & 19-22 jamming RFA Chinese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5950, Mon Dec 6 at 2304, APS Radio ID and jingle, rock
music, new show on WRMI M-F at 23-24, in System L sked as 5950 only,
but I forgot to check whether // 4980 which in the transmission sked
is also shown as Sys L for that hour: and last Friday lacking APS yet,
WORLD OF RADIO was on both; and could still be so on Sundays. Nothing
about APS Radio yet on WRMI Programming page, and only a brief item on
disgraced FB that it was supposed to start Nov 29. A broad search
reminds us that APS Radio has been on WRMI before at totally different
times starting 2019y. I don`t find any website for itself, nor what
APS denote (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 9330, UT Monday December 6 at 0703, Cuban spy
numbers are blasting in S9+10/20 with mixture of YL speech and
uteblaaps, but I can detect the 500? kW WBCQ-6 SuperStition
underneath, so certainly not taking turns on 9330. BTW the WLCR
language schedule has changed; now it`s English at 06-09 at 225
degrees for east North America, and not far from thisaway but totally
blocked by 250? kW from Cuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. (7490v), UT Tue Dec 7 at 0030, after semi-repeat of `UBMP`,
WBCQ starts `Camp Constitution Radio` with its theme notes, then an
ad/PSA? for St. Jude`s with Jen Anniston & Marlo Thomas, before CCR
starts --- this week`s ``sponsor``? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3360, UT Mon Dec 6 after 0200, WWRB quickly reconfirmed on
new frequency, but by 0410 no signal to MO SDR. Will be off again
until UT Sunday at 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1130, Dec 6 at 1551 UT, KLEY Wellington KS still S9 of dead
air all day and all night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1600, Dec 6 at 2015 UT on caradio, Americana from KUSH
Cushing OK already has skywave QRM in Vietnamese from KRVA The
Metroolex TX. By 2050 KRVA has overcome. Hard to believe its day
pattern of E/WSW lobes has a minimum thisaway to the NNW, if not a
deep null, but it`s 25 kW to start with (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

A few weeks around Winter Solstice some skywave can last all day. Need
to do a low-noon bandscan from a quiet spot circa local mean noon =
1832 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VATICAN. 11935, Dec 6 at 1548, S1-S3 in unknown language but the
strongest extracontinental signal on band. Aoki shows Vatican Radio in
Amharic at 1530, switching at 1600-1700 to Madagascar in
Swahili/Somali/English, back to CVA 1700-1800 in French, Tigrinya
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1470, Dec 6 for several minutes before and after 0700
UT, again I`m seeking the Mexmx, this time not only on the E-W
longwire, but on the rotatable DX-398 to try to DF it --- but no sign
of anything dominant nor any such non-English programming. Either very
different propagation conditions, or what I heard was an anomalous
transmission. Both the IA and MN SS stations are supposedly direxional
northward both day and night, altho with very minor southward lobes at
night; and a lot more night power from MN than IA.

Immediately replying to my original report: Wayne Heinen N0POH,
Editor, NRC AM Radio Log, Aurora, CO: ``Glenn, A very likely source of
SS:MEX programming on 1470 is XERCN in Tijuana, a very frequent catch
here in Colorado. 73``

I considered that, but it`s not at all frequent here. Non-direxional
day and night; per WRTH 2021, ``10/5 kW, RCN/Uniradio 14-70, (r. CRI
12h)`` which I guess means relays China Radio International, 12 hours
per day? Is that still the case, in English?

The 2021-2022 IRCA Mexican Log does not mention CRI and shows 1470
XERCN format as Talk/Catholic - not music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Sat Dec 4 circa 1555, I find no signal
of LRA36 into Brasil SDR, as expected to be in summer hiatus -- BUT I
must have just missed it. Others reported it signing off around this
time today - so seek it again from 1400 Wednesday (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** ARGENTINA. 10000, Dec 4 at 1611, via remote in Brasil, good S8,
time tix every second but no IDs in voice or any other mode, and no
time announcements either. But it`s LOL, tnx to tip from Horacio Nigro
in Uruguay to the WOR iog. LOL, Buenos Aires, is temporarily on
extended schedule due to the imminent total solar eclipse over
Antarctica. Maybe for propagation research rather than timing. It had
been limited to M-F 14-15 UT only, and the 2 kW equipment had just
been refurbished for this. I cannot even be sure of any markers on the
minute, except the background tone goes off leaving tix only at 1613,
tone resuming at 1615, etc, maybe at tops of minute but hard to be
sure via SDR. Not even trying to hear it direct vs WWV but no QRM to
it down there. Will it be more regular or more than one hour a day
henceforth? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 12030, Sat Dec 4 at 1550, REE with insane enthusiasm about a
silly ballgame, best here S9+10/20 off the back to ME, rather than
so-called N America direct on 9690 only S7/S8 about the same as the
other offbeams, 11940 to S America and 11670 to Africa (NOT 11685)
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 383 MCW kHz, Dec 5 at 0708 UT, CNP, 25-watt ND beacon at
Chappell, Nebraska; no sign of LB, Liberal KS which is really in OK
per dxinfocentre.com/ndb.htm

365 MCW kHz, Dec 5 at 0709 UT, AA, 100 watt NDB at Fargo / Harwood ND.
I was tuned to 363-USB

359 MCW kHz, Dec 5 at 0710 UT, SDR, 25 watt NDB at Snyder, Texas
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2115 monitoring: confirmed UT
Sunday December 5 at 0422 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO about 11 minutes into
so started circa 0411. S9+10/15 but heavy multiple CW QRM: a 160m
contest must be underway. Several different rapid CW hams of different
pitches against 1860 are heard at once, impossible to notch out if one
had a notch. These CW guys have no respect for AM! Yet we are still
100% readable if ignoring the beepery, while the CW should also be
readable by ignoring the phone. Best we can do is run AM-narrow.

Also confirmed Sunday December 5 at 1353 the 1330 on WMRI Europe via
Channel 292, Germany, 9670, S9+20/30 into UTwente SDR, VG signal and
modulation, back to normal after outage last week. But some ACI from
not as strong 9665 Chinese music unless tuning USB. That`s Xianyang 59
site in CRI Russian. Next:

2330 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW

** U S A. 9955, Sabbathday Dec 4 at 1553, WRMI with gospel music but
not TOMBS; but by 1607 it is TOMBS // 9395. WRMI skedgrids contradict.
WRMI-3 supposed to start TOMBS Saturdays only at 1530, but go off to
internet only from 1600; or maybe not (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3360, UT Sun Dec 5, continuing to monitor new WWRB frequency
which started at 0200: ID at 0300 and another program; 0400 another ID
as experimental, now up to S9+40 into MO SDR and into a screaming hard
to understand female gospel huxter. Off circa 0500, but I missed it
exactly. BTW WWRB is an ``Internet Radio Station`` but still full of
years-outdated SW frequency and program info:
http://www.wwrb.org/ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. CBS Radio Network: on WCLV`s `Weekend Radio`, Sagebrush Bob
is featuring Stan Freberg episodes and always remarx that ``CBS Radio
no longer exists.`` Not exactly; we keep hearing it on air: Dec 5 at
0659 UT, WCCO 830 is outroing a program from ``CBS Audio Network``,
`Eye on Travel with Peter Greenberg:
https://www.audacy.com/wccoradio/shows/show-schedule
then at 0703 on KOKC 1520, ``CBS Radio News``. And then there`s CBS
Sports Radio all over the dial. History of CBS Radio is rather
convoluted; try this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBS_Radio
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Re 1470, Wayne Heinen N0POH, Editor, NRC AM Radio Log,
Aurora, CO, replies: ``Glenn, A very likely source of SS:MEX
programming on 1470 XERCN in Tijuana, a very frequent catch here in
Colorado. 73`` -- I thought about that but it`s not frequent here. I should
have DF`ed it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS UPDATE December 4:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html

** CUBA. 7335 & 7355 & 7375 & 7435, Dec 4 at 0749, pulse jamming
against nothing since R. Martí is not running all-night, but oh, we
feel so much more protected from it! Jamming sounds are slightly
different on each, with 7355 strongest but without the tonality
earlier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEWFOUNDLAND [and non]. 2598-USB, Dec 4 at 0758-0759* UT, Canadian
Coast Guard roboYL mentioning the RCMP and pandemic: not exactly
marine weather but no doubt important info, about port access?
DXinfocentre.com shows, of the rotating stations on this frequency,
this first broadcast of the day from *0737 is from VCP-4, Placentia, 3
kW.

2749-USB, Dec 4 at 0800, JBA weaker than 2598, sounds like French
intonation. Listed as VCO Sydney NS, only 550 watts from 0740,
bilingual.

There are further-flung CCG stations in/around Iqaluit on 2514, 2582
which I never hear in the nightmiddle since times are 1410, 1705 and
2235 for both with season ending Dec 25 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 640 kHz, Dec 4 at 1543 UT, KWPN Moore stupid sportstalk
is quite undermodulated; is no one paying attention? (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 1600 kHz, Dec 4 at 1537 UT, dead air from KUSH Cushing,
but medium SAH as skywave understations are still in, rather than
undermodulation from KUSH; no Vietnamese audible, however. E.g. 1660
Kansas City, 1500 KSTP? Our Enid LSR 1328 today UT, with another 15
minutes to go until the latest at 1343 a month from now, while we are
already at earliest sunsets 2316 UT. The two average out for shortest
day overall on Winter Solstice. Not rechecked until 1830 when KUSH is
modulating Americana; someone finally paying attention (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Dec 4 at 0732 UT I turn the computer back on to advise
the WTFDA gg, AMFMTVDX at qth.net, and the WOR io group:

``Defacto MS DX test from KUCO et al. At bedtime 0725 UT Saturday Dec
4, I turn on 90.1 KUCO FM Edmond OK for some WCPE classical music, but
instead hear nothing but canned IDs repeating about twice a minute for
KUCO 90.1 and its satellites KBCW 91.9 McAlester and KCSC 95.9
Woodward OK. The last time, such a default lasted until about 5 AM CT
when the morning human came in, but maybe later on a weekend? Good
luck, Glenn Hauser, Enid``

In fact it`s still going at my next awakening 1130 UT; but back to
normal by 1350 during `MFTHOS`. I`ve seen no replies that anyone took
advantage of this late-breaking opportunity. Available only to those,
of course, already awake. And the Geminid meteor shower will not be
peaking until Dec. 13-14. Maybe KUCO can do this again next weekend?

Another foulup at KUCO: Sat Dec 4 at 1800 UT, a new season of the
Metropolitan Opera broadcasts. After the local opening there follows
another opening for the post-opera music fill show which would not
really start until 3+ hours later; joining the Met net abruptly about
1802. Such are the risks of voice-tracking, i.e. automating
pre-recorded announcements to be integrated, coördinated with net or
music plays (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2115 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
December 4 after 1700 on WRN for North America webcast.

Also confirmed starting Dec 4 at 2034 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, Wentzville
MO, VG into nearby Warrenton KiwiSDR of KB0FX.

Also confirmed UT Sunday December 5 at 0030 on WRMIs: 7730 VG direct;
and also 5950, S9 into Georgia SDR. Until 0029 both carried Wavescan,
then split for separate music and IDs, 0030 back together for WOR.
7730 is System D, while 5950 is System L, the latter still displaying
some other program at this time. Next:

0400vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0415; as late as 0530]
1330 UT Sunday WMRI Europe via Ch 292 Germany 9670
2100 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW

** U S A. 4975, Dec 4 at 0745, the -5 kHz WRMI 4980 JBA spur is
constantly here when 4980 is strong as usual, e.g. during TOMBS at
0745 Dec 4. Strictly speaking, when WOR appeared on 4980 by surprise
we were also on unnecessary 4975 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5850, UT Sun Dec 5 from 0100, another great hour of
classical music on `Encore` via WRMI, VG into MO SDR for convenience
and pretend stereo in SAS mode; no longer available a bihour earlier
on 5950, ceded to Mason Vye rock music show (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, Sat Dec 4 at 0750, WLCR on WBCQ in Brazuguese is VG
S9+10, no clash with Cuban spy numbers since this is a scheduled night
off for it; vice versa last night: is WBCQ coördinating with it?
Probably just randomness (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5830 WTWW-1 and 5085 WTWW-2 are both still on later than
usual at 0746 UT Saturday December 4 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3215, Dec 4 at 0733, no signal from WWCR-1 again tonight,
while the other three remain nominal on 4840, 5890, 5935. Have not
noticed whether totally off 3215 or just closing earlier. Now I see on
the website Dec 4: ``WWCR will not broadcast on 6115 or 3215 until
further notice. Programming on these frequencies will continue to be
available by audio stream.`` No reason why. Program sked still shows
``6115`` at 22-02 and ``3215`` at 02-12 UT. The only other #1
frequency, 15825 is still on, normally VP here too close for skip such
as at 1547 Dec 4 check; 12-22 sked. Some winter sporadic E may enhance
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3215, Dec 5 at 0033, gospel huxter poorly on portable and no
5050, so WWRB has made the predicted switch to 90m for winter. As long
as WWCR has quit 3215, no need for WWRB to QSY at 0200 to 3360, or
just run 3360 only. Via Georgia remote, 3215 VG S9+15 but lofi at
0153. 0158.5 live Dave interruption for change to new frequency 3360
repeated and repeated, has to go retune transmitter so will take a few
moments; and dead air to 0159.3*.

3360: Dec 5 from *0201, new WWRB frequency is on equally strong S9+15
as 3215 was. 0201 sign-on as testing new frequency and upcut into `All
Will Stand` gospel huxter. This will be active only UT Sundays and
Mondays for unknown durations. 3360 shows carrier offset minus 8 Hz at
Georgia SDR. I normally don`t bother if a station is within 10 Hz of
nominal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1130 kHz, Dec 4 at 1541 UT, KLEY Wellington KS, still S9+20
of dead air into another month, 250 watts day and also all night
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1470 kHz, Dec 4 at 1540 UT, Mexmx dominates. If 2021-2022
NRC AM Log format info still be correct, only two possibilities: KWSL
Sioux City IA 2.3 kW, and further KMNQ, Brooklyn Park MN, 5 kW. Nearby
on 1500 I am getting sportstalk like nearby KSTP (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Dec 4 at 0407:
531, 558-2, 576, 612, 639, 657, 684-2, 711, 747, 774-2, 837-2, 882-2,
945, 1098, 1134-2, 1215 kHz. As usual, not much heard higher, partly
due to greater adjacent QRM level, but I keep going and hear another
at 1656+ kHz.

If nominal 1656, it`s noticeably off-frequency. But there is no
official X-band TA. However that area is packed with Euro pirates,
hundreds of them logged by Carlos Gonçalves in Portugal, most of them
unID --- but his latest list shows some on 1655 and 1660, not 1656. So
my carrier may be something local or at least not TA (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 830v, Dec 4 at 0426 UT, WCCO has a LAH - low audible
heterodyne, guesstimate ~25 Hz, but I can`t decide on which side.
Anyhow, mwoffsets does not show anything likely that far off (Glenn

Glenn Hauser logs December 3-4, 2021  View Printable Version
Saturday, December 04 2021

Logs
** CHINA. 13130, Dec 3 at 2359, JBA carrier, presumed reliable CNR1
jammer against Sound of Hope, off at 2400* without hearing any
timesignal. After 0000 Dec 4, quick check found no others WOOB in the
16s, 14s, 13s, 12s, 11s, or 10s; but plenty of Chinesy signal within
the 9 MHz band (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EAST TURKISTAN. 5060, 4850, 4500, Dec 3 at 2351, JBA graylinish
carriers on the matching frequencies of PBS Xinjiang, Urumqi, land of
imperialist Chicom genocide against Uighurs and other Moslems. Each a
different domestic language service; unfortunately, the fourth one,
4980 is now blocked by WRMI extended to start at 2300 including, oh
my, yours truly at unexpected time 2330 // 5950; see USA [and non]
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA SOUTH [and non]. 9100, Dec 3 at 2322, VP signal with noise
like jamming, presumed Echo of Hope, which Ron Howard reported as of
this Monday Nov 29 at 0851 was on 9100 rather than alts 9095 or 9105.
I often detect one of them or another at various dayparts (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6925.0 AM at S4-S7; and 6919.9 AM at S3-S4, Dec 3 at
2354, once again on the pirate band I am getting nothing but these two
weak signals with rock. What are they saying in HFU?
6925, Coastal Rock Radio starting at 2100, still at 0105 Dec 4:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,89793.0.html
6920, Radio Pushka presumed per one report from 0000 Dec 4:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,89799.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Dec 3 at 2320, VOT is S8/S9+10 into my bigrig but
just barely modulated, so on that defective transmitter today. By 2350
Turkish music is still undermod S9/S7. Back at 2300 I could not hear
it at all on the portable. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2115 monitoring: confirmed Friday
December 3 at 2130 on IRRS via AM Italia, 918 kHz, S9+10 into nearby
Noale SDR, following C&W music, ID.

Also confirmed Friday December 3 at 2350 check the 2330 on WRMI 5950,
S9+10/20 direct. AND ALSO on WRMI 4980, S9/+20, where not scheduled. I
quickly check all the other WRMIs on 5, 7, 9 and 15 MHz but not even
more WOR. Here`s what`s supposed to be on 4980 at 23-24 UT:

``WRMI Radio Miami International -- November 29 at 9:19 AM · Tune in
for an hour of oldies music at 2300 UTC Monday-Friday (i.e. 6:00 pm
Eastern Time) on 4980 kHz, presented by APS Radio, beginning today,
November 29, 2021.`` as on disgraced FB. Checking the skedgrids, we
have yet another contradixion between the top of the sked and the
bottom. WRMI-4, 4980 at 160 degrees, besides System E with TOMBS at
00-11 UT, now has additional System L at 23-24 UT. But the program
sked below for Sys L shows 5950 only. During that hour M-F there are
many other shows besides WOR which would be affected: TRSW, LR Tokio,
Alt Universe Top 40, Encore, Wavescan! OR, added to 4980 if APS
continue no-show?

WOR 2115 also confirmed UT Saturday December 4 at 0230 on WRMI 9395:
VP into Maryland but VG into Missouri, S9+23, fading down a bit toward
the end. Next:

2030vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM
0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW,
0030 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [to be reconfirmed]
0400vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0415; as late as 0530]
1330 UT Sunday WMRI Europe via Ch 292 Germany 9670
2100 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0400vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed?]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S

and comments, ``Thanks for another year of great information and DX
tips.``One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US
funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7489.9v, Fri Dec 3 at 2320, dramatic narration, `Tom Call
Theatre` scheduled on WBCQ; similar narr. on 9955, WRMI, but surely
something else. Kelly `Satanic` Bogues is on schedule, but I don`t
think he`s every week (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 3265, Dec 4 at 0058, still no signal from this WBCQ, but
quick check of others into Maryland SDR: 4790 good with TOMBS; much
weaker JBA S5-S7 on 6160 minus 56 Hz = 6159.944; 7490 minus 52 Hz =
7489.948 at S8-S9. So that`s what to expect for `AAAWWW` from 0100 as
I semilisten to (7490) webcast instead. After big beep signaling FKB
gospel huxter that it`s time to go; First WW topic is about how black
and white are not really colo[u]rs; the Internet of Things; 0118 about
a ham special event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first
trans-Atlantic contact on 160m with original call 1BCG, times TBA at
1BCG.org [see below].

0125 datestamp as 3 of December YOOLF 2021. 0138 survey shows top
requirement of new car buyers is that they have a radio! 0144 checking
MD remote, 6160 and 7490 have faded out. Allan says haven`t been using
3265 much this winter, but would like to if could sell some time on
it. It must be inconceivable to him to transfer all 7490 programming
after sunset or so to: 3265! which still propagates. 0145 looks for
new Free Radio Weekly but can`t find it. This week`s editor Larry Will
soon calls to assure him it is out, AW finds it and reads some logs.

0150 emailer Steve asks him to debunk Hal Turner that 5G is dangerous,
which Allan does in some detail explaining about microwave power
levels from cell towers being minuscule. And get vaccinated! No Bill
Gates microchips included. Jerry calls with details of the 160m
special event, which I also check, quoted below. 0158 praying already
and for a change finished in time for Hal Turner theme from 0200.

``2021 marks the 100th year anniversary of the historic Transatlantic
Tests. On December 11, 2021 The 1BCG replica transmitter will be
operating as W2AN/1BCG on 1.821 MHz, plus or minus, using CW, from The
Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut. Transmissions
from W2AN/1BCG will be one-way, just like the original transatlantic
tests in 1921. You can get a SWL certificate for this Special Event by
sending a copy of the transmitted message to 1BCG@AntiqueWireless.org

Schedule: Transmissions start on December 11, 2021, on 1.820 mhz, +/-,
at 1800 EST or 2300 UTC, then every 15 minutes thereafter for a total
of five hours thusly; 1815, 1830, 1845, 1900, 1915, 1930, 1945, 2000,
2015, 2030, 2045, 2100, 2115, 2130, 2145, 2200, 2215, 2230 and the
last transmission at 2245 EST [0345 UT Sunday Dec 12].

This special event is your opportunity to relive a historic moment in
amateur radio history. Additional details will be posted here when
they are available.`` John Carver`s version:

``Tonight's show started on time on 4790, 6160 and 7490 with all three
frequencies listenable at the moment. Allan and Angela in the studio.
After some opening banter the talk turned to WOKE and race and then
into talk about the sun and solar flares and how vulnerable today's
methods of communication are compared to real radio with tubes which
would still work in spite of those events. Then a quick jaunt through
radio history mentioning that this month is the one hundredth
anniversary of the first transatlantic performed by hams using radios.
Then reads an article about the event. The event will be recreated
this month on the anniversary. Then Allan reads another article as
6160 gets too noisy to copy and noise increasing on 7490 which is also
suffering from interference from some hams for some reason so move to
4790 for the rest of the program.

Allan then comes up with a current article which states that radio is
still the best form of audio equipment in a car according to a survey
of several thousand car buyers who prefer radio rather than all the
digital options that are available now to car owners. Six different
countries were included in this survey.

At 0147 Allan starts reading highlights from the brand new edition of
Free Radio Weekly then starts reading emails at 0150. Closing prayer
at 0159 and off the air at 0200. John, Mid-North Indiana`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
