at 2200, token English from SNR previews feature about the Hay?
Festival in Segovia; news leads with PM Sánchez not recognizing
Edmundo González - yet - as legitimate winner in Venezuela, altho has
been granted political asylum. 2208 interview discussing a fake word
sounding like ``mountweagle`` sometimes inserted into publications to

** TURKEY. 11785, Sept 11 at 2157 past 2200, no signal direct from VOT
English; but 2201 recheck now a JBA carrier yet soon gone by 2202. No
signal into UTwente checked later about 2225. So they tried but failed

** U S A. 356 MCW kHz, Sept 11 at 0711, ND beacon ODX, is JBA, 25
watts at Ord, Nebraska. Heard before but not since May 13. Also JBA
carrier on 251 kHz, likely the closest and beforist, AM, 100 watts
Amarillo TX. Local 341 EI Enid is still off; 255 SW Stillwater JBA

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2259 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday
September 10 at 2330 on WRMI 395, S9+25/35 into Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Tuesday September 10 at 2335 the 2330 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975.003-, S9+10 into UTwente, a few words behind 9395.

Also confirmed Wednesday September 11 at 1931 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.001- at S9+10/15 and 3975.003- at S9+5.

Also confirmed Wednesday September 11 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490-,
sufficient into Maryland SDR; but by 2128 only a JBA carrier direct.

** AUSTRALIA. 10125 USB, Sept 10 at 0628, ham QSO discussing
equipment, back & forth without IDs each cambio. Finally 0634, VK7VM?
with a weaker VK5. VK7 is Tasmania, but I`m not at all sure of VM,
could be any rhyming letters like DN, etc., etc. Fonetix not employed.
I check this frequency almost every night and nothing heard for
months. Apparently Australia, alone? allows phone on the otherwise
CW/digital-only ``30m`` hamband (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA [non]. 11990, Sept 10 at 0300, c/on a few sex before, and
JIP rock music of the 4th anniversary show of Pop Shop Radio, 250 kW
via Woofferton UK aimed at N America. For convenience I`m listening
via Maryland remote where it`s S9+10/20. 0301 DJ Tony acknowledges a
fellow DJ at CFZM 740 Toronto. Music never stops as Tony talx over
non-vocal intros or outros of tunes, 0311 it was Record #1. 0313
offers QSL. 0325 ``Wild Thing`` one of few I can recognize. 0337 I
check direct: S9+20/30 almost as good but more selective fading. 0353
reports to radiopopshop@gmail.com. 0354 into ``radiogram`` beepery I`m
not prepared to decode, others report as a playlist. 0359 closing
announcement, off about 0359.6*. In addition to his `regular` sked,
Tony Pavick says this one will repeat UT Thursday Sept 12 at 0300 on
Channel 292, Germany, 9670, also aimed toward North America (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, Sept 10 at 2217, RHC JBM and suptorted so language
undetermined, S9+10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.16, Sept 10 at 2210, Enid CB pirate, S9+20 but not
relaying 105.5 for a change, nor any match found on DX-398 entire FM
band. Chanting off-mike, maybe rap music and undermodulated. Not

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935.874-887-898v, Sept 10 at 1942, trying Yemen
service on newly discovered Riyadh SDR - sounds much like those
further away, extremely rapid chirping with program audio JBA under,
S7/S8, same at 2002 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15520, Sept 10 at 2159, ME frequency from SNR is back on
air, still not 15390 for Africa; along with 17715 & 17855 for America.
But if it`s Tuesday there must not be any token English, just Ladino

** TURKEY. 11785.005+, Sept 10 at 2158, VOT not off the air, IS at
S9+20/30 VG direct. 2200 timesignal 2.5 sex behind WWV! and s/on as if
it`s 1230 on 17720. Something`s always awry at Ankara. Program
preview: That`s Why, Weekly  Commentary, Turkey`s Geomarked Products.
2201 olds leads with tourism booming, 56.7 million visited Turkey last
year, hope for 60M this year; Israel uses US MK-84 bombs on Gaza

floods from typhoon in Vietnam. 2215 `That`s Why` repeat on lithium

** U S A. Re: Sept 9, unID on 28201 at 2204 sending nothing but 20
dits or E`s between long pauses:

``Glenn, The unidentified CW beacon that you heard on 28201 kHz is
N4WLO, in Theodore, Alabama. He started transmitting about three weeks
ago and was assigned the frequency of 28200.5 kHz by the IARU Region 2
Beacon Coordinator. I’ve heard him several times since then, always
very close to 28200.5, but perhaps he drifted up a bit yesterday. He
does send out his call letters in between the 20 dits and long pauses
that you noted, but usually only every 8-10 minutes. In a brief post
