``28345 USB, March 12 at 2126, PY5AYF, CQ contest. Not listed.``

``*Probably* PY5AMF, who is an active contester. Saul Broudy(W3WHK)

*Maybe* but u.o.s., I don`t log without fonetix certain, but did not
write those down. Maybe he was saying ``Monkey`` instead of
``Yankee``? QRZ.com:

PY5AMF Brazil flag Brazil, (MAR) AMÉLIO ALVES DE MARINS FILHO, RUA
SEZINO RAMOS 2097, GUARAGUAÇU - PONTAL DO PARANÁ, PR 83255000, Brazil

I had just logged PY5AMF, March 6 after 0005 on 28372 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 6100, March 14 at 0558, RHC is S9+20, but Spanish
instead of English.

6060, March 14 at 0558, RHC music, then English, S9+10 with good
modulation.

5040, March 14 at 0559, RHC English VG S9+20/30, but cuts off at
0600*.

6165, March 14 at 0601, RHC back here after long absence, and no
signal on 9700; maybe starting as early as 0000, unchecked then. S7/S9
with that signature hum, but just barely modulated. By 0605 I realize
the language is not English or Spanish, but Arabic? So this is really
R. Japan in Arabic via FRANCE as scheduled 0600-0630, underneath the
Radio Humvana carrier. Something`s always wrong at RHC.

6000, March 14 at 0604, RHC S9+10/20 of dead air or trace of
modulation. Nothing else scheduled, so probably really RHC rather than
an understation; altho Echo of Hope, Korea South, might have jumped
from 5995 to 6000 this week? Somethings` always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA NORTH [non]. 9800, March 14 at 1523, ballad at S4/S7 with
flutter, 1525 Korean announcement. I was expecting VOA Philippines,
but it takes a break at 1500-1900 from 9800; rather, Nippon no Kaze at
1500-1600 via Paochung, TAIWAN, site says Aoki; while EiBi says
TWN-s-Danshui/Tanshui/Tamsui (Taipei province) 25N11-121E25 vs.
TWN-p-Paochung/Baujong (Yunlin province) PAO/BAJ 23N43-120E18.
WRTH 2022 says pao while the //s are two other sites: 7290tsh,
7550tac. Korean ID is Ilbon-ui Baram (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 11540, March 14 at 1518, two weak signals beating,
Dengê Welat and Turkish jammer; also same on March 13. No more
cat-and-mouse? Nothing on alternate 11530, where D.W. ought to jump
when jammed on 11540, and v.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 28410 USB, March 13 at 2223, 4A90CHI, special event station

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2129 monitoring: also confirmed Sun
March 13 at 2105 the 2100 on IRRS via AM Italia 1323 kHz, good &
steady S9+10 into nearby Noale SDR, no QRM.

Also confirmed Sunday March 13 at 2235 the 2230 on WRMI 5950! This was
deleted in the new sked dated March 13, so I hastened to delete me
from my sked too. Perhaps prolonged for one more time. VG into
Knoxville SDR. We hope to get back onto 5950 System L, sometime.

Also confirmed UT Monday March 14 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, S7/S9 into
Knoxville SDR.

Missed checking at new time 0300 UT Mon March 14 on Area 51 via WBCQ,
6160-; did anyone hear it? Next:

0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455?
2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed?]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455?
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

woradio at yahoo.com

One may also contribute by MO or check in US$ on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15770, reminder that VOA`s Flashpoint Ukraine is now M-F at
1935 via WRMI; and new sked has added WORLD OF RADIO at 1930 Saturdays
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9955, March 13 at 2226, WRMI in English, S9+20/30 but quite
undermodulated. Scheduled at 2215-2230 Sundays is Voice of Truth --
with a name like that, beware! Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7780, at 0330 various nights but not logged, a new gospel
huxter on WRMI, ``Soteriah International Ministry``, in English but
very heavy African accent hard to understand, encouraging immediate
tuneout. Nothing about it on programming page, but bought up a lot of
time on sked updated Mar 13:
Mon-Sat 0330-0400 7780, but what about R. Svobodna expanded to 0400?
Sat 1200-1230 5850
Sat 2200-2300 5850 or is it daily? blank rest of week
Tue-Sat 0000-0100 5950
General search on that strange name reveals that Soteriah is Greek for
deliverance, i.e. another Christian concept. Maybe the same thing has
a place on disgraced FB, but stalled since 2014y!
https://www.facebook.com/Soteria-International-Ministries-566096896845170/
Tema, Ghana, is mentioned, which would account for the accent. Yet
another one obsessed with the godname Yahweh. There are some other
ministries with such a Soteriah name (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4790, UT Monday March 14 after 0330, `Concert Hall` on WBCQ
Radio Angela, concluding Act I of Carmen --- I thought it was supposed
to be Act II of Barber of Seville this week; filled with some other
Carmen music until 0359. Now starts at 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15300, March 14 at 1514-1514.4*, JBA signal with heavy
Doppler flutter, i.e. horizontally in frequency, not just vertically
in strength. Only one signal, not two beating, when chopped off air
abruptly. Nothing between 1500-1600 in HFCC, Aoki or EiBi. In these
entire skeds only a handful of transmissions ending at ``-1515``: 7510
KTWR Korean; Chengdu, China on 7225, 6060; Kunming on 7210; none of
which seem likely on 15300. No other signals nearby on 19m with such
flutter, presumably close to trans-polar (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING

What Can We Learn from the War in Ukraine?
Four erroneous and dangerous premises have been accepted in current
international relations.
Juan Antonio Blanco Miami 10 Mar 2022 - 17:40 CET

"How did we get here?" Jake Tapper asked CNN on Sunday, March 6. His
answer was honest and accurate: it has been two decades of misguided
optimism and appeasement by Western leaders, of different parties,
eager to ignore Vladimir Putin's grave misconduct inside and outside
Russia.

In the end, Tapper asked whether any lessons had been learned from all
this. He left the answer up in the air, to be pondered by viewers. I
don't think so.

To correct these errors, it is not enough to point them out. Rather,
it is necessary to understand the premises — also mistaken — that
spawned the West's indecision, confusion and weakness vis-a-vis its
main enemies. And it is not only with Russia that mistakes have been
made, but also with Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, China, and its
disgraceful non-state allies (including international terrorism and
organized crime).

To answer Tapper's question, I think it is necessary to reconsider at
least four false and dangerous foreign policy premises that have been
accepted over the last two decades by important open societies....

WORLD OF RADIO SCHEDULE

There are additional times on World Radio Network, satellite/webcast:
Times for N America remain at same UT until European DST March 27
N America/Africa/Asia/Pacific:

** CAYMAN ISLANDS. 28428 USB, March 13 at 1844, ZF2VE with contest
contacts; seemed OSOB until ECUADOR showed up, q.v. QRZ.com:
ZF2VE Cayman Islands flag Cayman Islands, Gerald B "Gerry" Hull, 100
Antrim Road, Hancock, NH 03449, Cayman Islands

Page managed by W1VE [= sameham]. Operation from the fantastic QTH of
Stan, K5GO/ZF9CW, 100w only from Cayman Brac. QSL Via LOTW only. 73,
Gerry. His ham radio story, originally from Halifax NS:
https://www.qrz.com/db/W1VE
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, March 13 at 0657, R. Rebelde is OFF: connected with
start of DST as a running dog of Yanqui imperialism? But it`s 24/7.
Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba. BTW it leaves a local HNL of S9
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, March 13 at 0701* tune-in a few notes of RHC theme and
cut off. Might have been about to start Esperanto one hour earlier
than before. 6100 still on but S9+30 of dead air; but eventually
starts ``2nd hour`` of English, ``top news of the week``, some
distortion. No others still on. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Sunday March 13 at 1507, RHC Esperanto at S9/+20 //
11760 at S9. So this outsending has successfully earlied an hour due
to irrelevant local DST (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, March 13 at 1922, RHC English hour earlier now, S9+10
into Missouri but annoying humbuzz. Something`s always wrong at RHC.
The next English propaganda hour normally moves one hour later than
earlier when DST start, 23-24 instead of 22-23, maybe still on 11880;
while the next2 hour on 5040 at 00-01, moves an hour earlier so it
coincide with 11880. We shall see/hear (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ECUADOR. 28395 USB, March 13 at 1847, JBA Spanish at first, then
HC4CS, Armundo?, 100 watts; next contact in English.
HC4CS Ecuador flag Ecuador, ARMANDO CERVANTES, KM. 86 VIA SANTA ELENA,
PUERTO LOPEZ, AYAMPE, EC 131952, Ecuador. Many illustrations:
https://www.qrz.com/lookup/hc4cs
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6910 USB, March 12 at 2315, JBA sounds like someone
reading a document or speech, can`t make it out. Many reports here of
the occasional pirate WFDR, an FDR speech from 1939 as war was
previously brewing in Europe...
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,94276.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. For the record as of March 13, day and night, these
formerly semi/local ND beacons are still silent: 255 SW StillWater;
341 EI EnId; 515 PN PoNca City. That leaves 350 RG, Will RoGers World
Airport, OKC as the main Okie still running. But the others have gone
and come before, so you never know (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SOUTH AMERICA. Trans-equatorial ham DX on 10 meters again, not very
strong signals in contest and no CW beacons heard, per QRZ.com:

28345 USB, March 12 at 2126, PY5AYF, CQ contest. Not listed.

28345 USB, March 12 at 2127, WP3B calling CQ South America.
WP3B Puerto Rico flag Puerto Rico, NELSON SANTIAGO, HC 2 BOX 6419,
LARES, PR 00669-9760, USA. Lots of Puerto Rico net and other stuff:
https://www.qrz.com/lookup/wp3b
This one not T-E and not SAm, but far enough away to be F2 prop

28442 USB, March 12 at 2128, PY2CX, CQ contest:
PY2CX Brazil flag Brazil, MAURICIO PITORRI, VERONA 174, 02348-050 -,
SAO PAULO - SP, Brazil

28388 USB, March 12 at 2129, CE6CGX contacting a VE2
CE6CGX Chile flag Chile, CARLOS GUARDIA SOTO, PARCELA 24 EL TESORO,
CASILLA 10, CORREO TRAIGUEN 4739001, Chile --- lots of certificates

28370 USB, March 12 at 2310, CW2R in contest
CW2R Uruguay flag Uruguay, Uruguay, Page managed by CX1RL Lookups:
2232. This call sign record has incomplete details: operator name,
city/town. Other details regarding this record are not shown while we
wait for additional data.

But CX1RL:
CX1RL Uruguay flag Uruguay, CARLOS MORALES, CW2R, MALDONADO GF25MC,
20.000, Uruguay --- with some photos (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2129 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
March 12 from 2045 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, VG to nearby MO SDR. From next
week, one hour earlier from nominal 1930v UT.

Also confirmed UT Sunday March 13 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, only S7/S9
into Lubbock SDR; S8/S9+10 direct but not solid in noise level.
Otherness on 7780 is axually a bit better S9/+20 making me wonder if
the NE/NW antennas have already been swapped, but not the programming.
This airing stays at 0030.

Also confirmed UT Sunday March 13 at 0429 about 11 minutes into on
WA0RCR, 1860 AM, so started circa 0418, S9+10 direct vs high noise
level. From next week nominal 0315 UT start.

Also confirmed Sunday March 13 at 1350 the 1330 on WMRI Europe, 9670
via Channel 292, Germany: inaudible at UTwente, but audible at Carlow,
Eire SDR, S9/+15 showing +20 Hz carrier offset. If this change to 1230
March 27, will it again collide with Vietnamese clandestine? Next:

2100 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy
[DST changes start here:]
2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [canceled! in new sked]
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0230 UT Monday WRN N America webcast [not yet 0130 for a biweek]
0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW
0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455?
2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed?]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455?
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

** U S A. 15770, Sat Mar 12 at 2124, music on WRMI and not // 11720
VOA, so as expected, `Flashpoint Ukraine` not on weekends when nothing
ever happens. From Monday it`s moving to 1935-2000 on 15770 and
presumably still not on any of our own VOA frequencies.

7780, R. Svoboda in Russian is expanding to two hours at 0200-0400,
but not tonight, English presumably Slovakia on WRMI after 0300. To be
daily since not specified as M-F? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, March 12 at 1457, NO LRA36 signals to
three Brasil SDRs where normally audible if on, missing another
Saturday. What about the new all-female crewe supposed to overtake?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. Re 28450 USB, my ham report of a PY2B# something, last
fonetik non-understandable, like ``Broadway``? Chanter, odxa iog
suggests: ``Could the Brazilian ham be saying Paraguay as a phonetic
for the last letter in his call?`` --- Yes, he could, maybe (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 11590, March 12 at 1553, VG S9+10 of CNR1, which is only
here to jam RFA Chinese via Kuwait this hour only, a victim not
audible at all. I know it`s not RFA but CNR1 since it`s // another
weaker jammer on 9660 which has a different inaudible victim, R Taiwan
International. I continue to wonder whence this jam splurt, eastern or
western ``China``? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2129 monitoring: confirmed UT
Saturday March 12 at 0500 on WBCQ 4790 minus 16 Hz offset per Missouri
SDR = 4789.984; S9/+10 vs some CODAR there. From next week will be at
0400 immediately following ``Radio Angela`` bloc at 0200-0400. During
the Feb testing phase, WBCQ was appending some non-Angela programming,
and I expected more but seemingly only WOR now.

Also confirmed Saturday March 12 at 1700 on WRN North America webcast.
For some reason there is always a pregnant pause between WRN`s intro
of me, and me, but no biggie. Expect WRN will keep this at 17 UT until
Europe be on DST two sesquiweeks later come April; but check at 16 UT
March 19 just in case. Next:

2030vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM
0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0400vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0415; as late as 0530]
1330 UT Sunday WMRI Europe via Ch 292 Germany 9670
2100 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy

[DST changes start here:]
2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0230 UT Monday WRN N America webcast; not yet 0130 for a biweek?
0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW

** U S A. 9955, Sat Mar 12 at 1552, WRMI in fill music rather than
TOMBS cult, supposedly sked this semihour only for Sabbath service,
but which is live? on not // 9980 WWCR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. (12160), Sat Mar 12 at 1800-1829 during my lunch, WWCR #2
stream with `Talking Machine Show` of ancient lo-fi cylinders and
discs singing, not talking, à la Marion`s Attic on WBCQ but without
the personality: virtually the only WWCR program worth listening to,
beyond gospel huxters ad nauseam and far-right extremist talk shows.
BTW, CNN has yet to reschedule, AFAIK, their exposé of Alex Jones,
which was blown away by BREAKING NEWS re Ukraine. Rechecking the WWCR
webskeds, as of March 1, this is still the *only* airtime for TMS
among the four 24/7 transmitters. From next week, of course, at
1700-1729 due to the imposition of DST and WWCR`s acquiescence despite
supposedly being for an international SW audience only; will their
program skeds show 1-hour shifts immediately effective March 13, i.e..
a 5-hour difference between CT and UT? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 28460 USB, March 12 at 1557, CQ contest JBA from an LU
station, i.e. Argentina, but can never copy entire call; another on
28467 USB. Just noted here to remind that 10m can be open for T-E
propagation; yet no show from any CW beacons around 28.2-28.3 MHz,
domestic sporadic E, or DX F2 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1942 UT March 12
