![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) A-22 SCHEDULES
Linx to several varieties are on the WOR homepage http://www.worldofradio.com Look for A22; some not yet updated still go to B21, or even A21. The *final* free major WRTH updater covering A22 is expected in early May ** CUBA. 5040, April 10 at 0153, S9+10/20 of dead air in French from RHC, where something`s always wrong (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 5055, April 10 at 0153, JBA carrier. Certainly not Australia at this hour. N American pirate has been here recently; but could be leapfrog mixing product of 5025 Rebelde over 5040 RHC another 15 kHz beyond. YES, recheck at 0614, now there is enough music audio on S7/S8 to make it // 5025, both of which must be from same site, Bauta. However, no reverse leap can be detected on open 5010. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6060 & 6165, April 10 at 0612 are by chance the two remaining RHC English frequencies, while 5040 is still on in Spanish. 6060 at S9+20/30 reads weaker than 6165 at S9+40, but modulation is slightly louder on 6060. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 341 MCW kHz, April 10 at 0622 UT, ND beacon EI at Woodring Airport is OFF again, as I can copy only OIN in Oberlin KS. I listen intently for at least a minute, but no trace of . .. which was amazingly weak anyway for 25? watts a few km away. EI had been consistently heard active since last reactivation March 30, after a long absence since early August. 341 MCW kHz, April 10 at 1815 UT almost local noon, EI is again on, and audible every octosecond (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SWAZILAND. 11879.971, April 10 at 1456, off-frequency open carrier; 1458 music box IS and ID ``TWR from Eswátini``, twice or thrice, 1500 into African language, music. Note how they pronounce the country, stress on the A just like in Swáziland, not Eswatíni as I and others had been guessing. They should know. Somali scheduled 1500-1530, plus another 15 until 1545 on Sundays. This hour is squeezed between Romania`s and China`s 11880 usage. I would not be surprised if it`s long-path (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, April 10 at 0501-0507, YP1 via WRMI, `Ukraine: Security Issue` another English segment of war news, preparing for great attack on Donbass, etc., very well done summary, sufficient direct to NW tho aimed NE (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 293 MCW kHz, April 10 at 1816 UT, FBY, ND beacon at FairBurY, Nebraska. This is the only one commonly audible from a second-adjacent state in full daytime. Fairbury is in SE NE some 15 km from the KS border; 422 km or 262 stmi from Enid. That is, 17 km per watt or 10.5 miles per watt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2133 monitoring: confirmed UT Sunday April 10 at 0030 on WRMI 7780: S8/S9+5 into Knoxville SDR. Now aimed 222 degrees so how is this log periodic off the back in Europe, which would be 42 degrees, close to the direct-to-Europe antennas centred on 44? S7-S8 very poor in noise level. Also checked Bonaire to the south: S5/S8. Also confirmed UT Sunday April 10 at 0323 just started about 0322 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+10 groundwave into nearby SDR. Next: 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [to be canceled? still Apr 3] 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed] 1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035-USB or 3210-USB [new] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Russell Lay, Nags Head NC, for a contribution via PayPal in US$ but not necessarily, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 4790, April 9 at 0352 during R. Angela with `Uncle Bill`s Melting Pot` on WBCQ, I am alert for the ``uteblaap`` QRM, listening via Maryland remote --- and there it is, 2-second bursts every 3 minutes near top of these minutes: 0352, 0355, 0358. Also separate 3-minute cycles from about 0359.7; but WBCQ signs off circa 0400. Now will the blaaps continue? Yes, so they are external to `BCQ and rather weaker tonight than before. The first cycle still noted at 0401, 0404, 0407; and the second at 0402.7. On the waterfall some of these small sharp images appear right on 4790, such as the 0404; others a few kHz above or below. Those may have been within the audible bandwidth when hearing WBCQ tuned to 4790. But who or what is doing this, and why? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 4980, April 10 at 0616, WRMI-4 is back, with TOMBS. Missing ever since first noted March 31; I have never seen nor found any explanation of why. Also resumed is parasitic JBA spur on 4975. At S9+30 subjectively 4980 seems stronger than before, antenna change? Still allegedly 160 degrees, same as 9955 & 5800 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 990, April 10 at 0447 UT, Morse code ID barely copied as WWKY, direct into my R75 via E/W longwire which happens to be aimed close to KY already; but lots of QRM, led by CBW to the north side with Debussy at 0444. 1150, April 10 at 0452 UT, 1 kHz tone with brief breaks; 0454, VVV VVV VVV DE WMST ID marker, 0457 sweeps upward. For this I`m on the DX-398 in order to null KSAL Salina KS to the north which otherwise dominates at night here with major lobe thisaway. So I managed to DX both direct; tnx for the tests. 990 WWKY is in Winchester KY running 1 kW ND day power; 1150 WMST in Mount Sterling KY with 2.5 kW ND day power. Earlier, I listened to them both via the Lexington KY SDR to familiarize myself with what they were sending. Surprised it was not maxed out until I logged on, already in use by someones in California, New Zealand, and Ukraine! Glad one can still do some non-DX listening there. The NZer is Dene Lynneberg, editor of an NZ DX Times column about SDR DXing specifically, segregated from direct DX logs. My notes: Starting at 0415 April 10 on 990: tone here stronger than on 1150. 0416 upward tones, jingle ID, more tones; S9 with some storm noise from the Atlantic. 0418 singing ID and sweeps upward; 0419 phone off hook pulses, more upsweeps. 0420 VVV VVV VVV DE WWKY [8 times, good!] back to VVVs. 0426 phone off hook, YL full WWKY test announcement explaining it. Are 1150 and 990 separate or //? 1150, at 0421 upsweeps while 990 is in VVVs. I quit web at 0439 and over to my direct radios, as above. Did not record anything, so despite all this detail, cannot get QSLs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9975, April 10 at 0631, KVOH is still on past nominal 0600* with praise music, not the usual bigsig but S7/S9 with Doppler flutter as the ionosphere is disturbed. Same signal strength and Dfl even affects 9955 WRMI. No wonder: K index of 7! WWV reported at 0600: ``Solar-terrestrial indices for 09 April follow. Solar flux 107 and estimated planetary A-index 19. The estimated planetary K-index at 0600 UTC on 10 April was 7. Space weather for the past 24 hours has been strong. Geomagnetic storms reaching the G3 level occurred. Space weather for the next 24 hours is predicted to be strong. Geomagnetic storms reaching the G3 level are expected.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1924 UT April 10 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, April 9 at 1420-1425, NO LRA36 signal into the 4 KiwiSDR remotes in Brasil, so misses another Saturday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA [non]. 15265, April 9 at 1456, VP gospel huxter in English, not TOMBS or YHWH voice. Aoki shows it`s Bible Voice, via Nauen, GERMANY, Saturdays only at 1400-1500 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 9420, S9+20 into UTwente, April 9 after 1600, pop song in English, ``nobody sings...``, 1610 announcement NOT in Greek. Much more music variety past 1700, which except for occasional non-Greek talk atop music bed, like 1619, 1629, 1650, could be mistaken for Voice of Greece format, and not what you would expect from the ChiCom targeting their genocide victims in East Turkistan, for Aoki and EiBi agree it`s CNR13 in Uyghur/Uighur: 9420 1600-1805 CHN CNR 13 Uyg Lingshi 725 1-7 9420 1400-1805 CHN China National Radio 13 UI TWN L TWN in EiBi means target area Taiwan, really? in UIghur? L = Lingshi. The music is generally soft, low-key, as if for the insomniax in occupied Xinjiang -- or the enslaved shift-workers. Still going past 1756 and off 1805* as scheduled. Meanwhile no Greece at all on 9420, active M-F only circa *1230v-1700v* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** RUSSIA [non]. 9370, April 9 at 1850, into UTwente, S9+30 open carrier already on, R. Svoboda modulation starting early about 1858, suspected site Armenia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SLOVAKIA [non]. 5985, April 9 at 0420, NO signal from RSI into Virginia SDR, as this WRMI-2 is really off the air despite new schedule listing R. Eslovaquia at 0400-0430 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830.001, April 9 at 2309, still past 2321, S7 open carrier with a bit of hum into UTwente, presumably VOT still on air but failing to modulate any bonus German. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** UKRAINE. UR1 = YP1 webcast, April 9 at 1700 continues in Ukrainian, no English segment as I hypothesized. Richard Langley: ``I believe that "Ukraine: security issue" is only broadcast once per day and is likely recorded and inserted into the audio feed around 0000 UT (3 a.m. local time). At least it's not mentioned at other times on the schedule: http://www.nrcu.gov.ua/schedule/period-items.html?channelID=1&date=2022-04-08 (example for yesterday; any date can be selected). But it might be that certain hours of the schedule are repeated in whole or in part during the 24-hour schedule including the one at 0000 UT. This is the middle of the night after all. -- Richard Langley`` on the WOR iog (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2133 monitoring: confirmed Saturday April 9 at 1930 on WRMI 15770, S9+5 into Maryland SDR; and 12 seconds later on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, VG into nearby MO SDR. Next: 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 1324vUT Sunday WMRI Europe via Ch 292 Germany 9670 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW [to be canceled? still Apr 3] 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed] 1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035-USB or 3210-USB [new] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Russell Lay, Nags Head NC, for a contribution via PayPal not necessarily in US$ to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 11620, another direct check of unknown site, April 9 at 1458.5 tune-in, open carrier of S9/+10 is already on. 1459.6, ``You are listening to VOMK [?], both in Dhivehi and English languages...`` , `Blessed Assurance` theme, ``Welcome to the second ... of Doing Good ... to our Enemies``. But only English, no Dhivehi heard yet. Once again, the only known RBA frequency after 1500, 11825 in Burmese, is JBA carrier to here, so RBA site really seems unlikely. At 1509 it`s S7/S9 into Brisbane SDR as I start another TDOA attempt, using Hanoi, Kuwait, Melbourne. At 1514 it finishes, displaying a broad area of SE Australia, -39.35 and +143.05: hardly! At 1510, trying Bandung, Switzerland, Perth: -62.50, -41.00 which is in the S Atlantic between S Georgia and LRA36! Hardly2! At 1524 I try KFS remote at Half Moon Bay, California: VG S9/+10. 1526 goes to music and chops off early at 1527.2* before any announcements. Dr Hansjoerg Biener replies on the WOR iog to my previous speculation about this being via Reach Beyond Australia, which: ``Offers two kinds of schedules: https://www.reachbeyond.org.au/on-air/#broadcast-schedule with the languages in alphabetical order: https://www.reachbeyond.org.au/wp-content/uploads/A22-Language-Edition.pdf with a focus on programme names: https://www.reachbeyond.org.au/wp-content/uploads/A22-Listener-Edition.pdf So the listener edition does not refer to "public" as opposed to "secret". Voice of Martyrs is an organisation mainly concerned with supporting persecuted Christians (and as you already noted there is no religious freedom to practice any other faith than the state religion Islam). I do not know in which way the Korean Voice of Martyrs might be connected to the Voice of Martyrs founded by Richard Wurmbrand https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice_of_the_Martyrs but Wurmbrand's VoM has always been an international organisation with different kinds of ministry (including broadcasts in German via Radio Luxemburg 1440 kHz many years ago). I also remember the many spots on WHRI advertising their work until the end of WHRI. In the late 90s, there were Christian broadcasts in Dhivehi to the Maldives via FEBA Radio. In April 1998 FEBA radio started a weekly programme produced by Back to the Bible in Sri Lanka. The 30 minutes featured Christian music and a Christian commentary on a general theme. There was a negative reaction from the Maldives government and the broadcast was stopped for a while. »The programmes were taken off air due to the opposition of the Maldivian authorities which included the detention of Christian believers and expulsion of several expatriates from the islands.« (FEBA Radio News Jan-Mar 1999, p.1.). It restarted in September 1999 and was also on the air in 2000, but I never researched in which year it was taken off the air (Dr Hansjoerg Biener 9 April 2022)`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2352 UT April 9 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

Glenn Hauser logs April 8-9, 2022 |

Saturday, April 09 2022
![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** BRAZIL. 28409 USB, April 8 at 2128, PT9SS calling CQ DX, only S3 about equal to noise level and one of only two or three signals audible on 10m TE. QRZ.com with some photos:
PT9SS Brazil flag Brazil Sandro Rodrigues Pereira (SAN) Viela José Daniel, 1971 Jardim Cangalha cep 79604-214 Tres Lagoas, MS Brazil His fonetix are ``papa tango nine sugar sugar`` --- look, the proper S going with those P and T is sierra! So many hams mix up their fonetix (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1430 kHz, April 8 at 2105 UT on caradio in Enid I am finally checking out KALV, in the occasional spots where the powerline and stoplight noise abates a bit. Two weak signals but the dominant is country music, not sports or talk, making a SAH of about 5 Hz. By 2127 I`m on home rig with similar reception, slightly better on N/S internal shortwire: ``Hometown radio station Stereo 1430, KALV; tell a friend``. No mention of FM; they had a translator on 99.5. FCC info in NRC DX News as of April 4 reported: ``KALV OK Alva – Granted STA, U1 60/60 (maybe using D1 60), wildfire damage.`` Its licensed parameters are U4 500 500 psra 500 per NRC AM Log. Among all the wildfires around OK, I missed hearing about KALV when it happened, but searching on wildfire Alva leads right to several versions of March 21-22, including: https://www.koco.com/article/oklahoma-wildfire-alva-destroys-radio-station/39495071 Own website does not load properly https://kalvradio.com/?page_id=72 But coverage maps are also at https://radio-locator.com/info/KALV-AM Day pattern is slightly pulled in from the east, presumably to protect sportstalk KTBZ Tulsa but which is more like ESE, and Enid is more like SE --- but KALV has never had much of a signal in Enid. Distance is only 70 km = 43 statute miles. Night pattern quite different, very pulled in from the NE, presumably to protect St Louis, the 50/5 kW station whose license was canceled two years ago and which I think is no longer on the air, most of the KALV night signal broadly from NW to SW to SE. So the question is, are KALV still running only 60 watts STA? That much non-direxional might be better here than the old higher-power direxional facility. What kind of antenna now? Stations under duress sometimes even use longwires to transmit. Or maybe the towers survived unlike the transmitter (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, Sat April 9 at 0500.6-0507.6, UR1 via WRMI with now reliable English segment `Ukraine: Security Issues` leading of course with the RuSSian airstrike on the train platform killing many; VG S9+15 into Maryland remote (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [non]. 15580, April 8 at 2133, S3-S8 of VOA presumably `Music Time in Africa` scheduled Fridays at 2105 tho the DJockesse has been unaware of this airing; Via BOTSWANA, 100 kW at 350 degrees. And not perceptibly off-frequency. The best we can do in A-seasons, lacking GB 11720 in B-seasons this hour (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2133 monitoring: confirmed just in time at 0158 UT Sat April 9 the 0130 on WRMI 9395, S5/S6 into UTwente which I happen to have running after Ukraine check at 0000 on 1386. Also confirmed UT Sat April 9 at 0400 on R Angela via WBCQ 4790, S9+15 into Maryland SDR. Once again there are uteblaaps QRMing, and I time them occurring on a regular schedule other than exactly 4:00 minutes apart as last time. Now there are two different cycles each exactly 3:00 minutes apart: one at top of minutes 0415, 0418, 0424, 0427; and another at about :45 seconds past these minutes: 0416, 0419, 0425, 0428. (Assume I missed the ones at 0421, 0422+.) I leave the same remote running after WBCQ off at 0430* --- and no more blaaps! I had always assumed this was some kind of external QRM, but now I am forced to wonder if they were also coming out of a defective 4790 WBCQ transmitter? OR, if external, they were not coincidental, accidental, but deliberately to annoy --- hardly jam --- WBCQ? I have not been paying much attn to the SDR waterfalls, but I do spot some rectangles a few kHz above and below 4790 line which could represent the blaaps. But there is no time calibration on vertical scale of the H2Ofalls. Curious.
