![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS updated June 3: http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
** BRAZIL. 9665.067, June 4 at 0603, JBA music, presumed RVM, always off-frequency but much weaker than it can be. The only ZY I am detecting on 31m overnight. And hardly any left on the other bands. We have lost *so many* SW stations, especially from this huge country which not long ago had a thriving domestic SW scene. Here are the SW frequency pages from the 2005 World Radio TV Handbook, only a sesquidecade ago. How many do you recognize or remember hearing? https://www.w4uvh.net/2005WRTHBrazil126.jpg https://www.w4uvh.net/2005WRTHBrazil127.jpg (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) See also USA: WBCQ ** NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS. 13790.047, June 4 at 0613, Chinese at S9-S7. It`s RFA via SAIPAN, this hour only; previous log via TINIAN was also 47 Hz high, askew signatures of these USAGM stations: 13575.047, May 30 at 1427 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2037) ** U K [non]. 12015, June 4 at 0607, fair in English news about democratic movement in China, national-anthem law, Hong Kong; COVID-19 with someone from a London school. One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5130, June 5 at 0150, 0159, 0202 chex, NO signal from this WBCQ, when `The Big Broadcast of 2020` is supposed to be repeating triply. I had lamented that the original airing a few weeks ago on 7490 and only in the daytime at 2100 UT would peter out long before it got to OK, so Bill Tilford got this nighttime playback scheduled. 5130 however does eventually come on, by next check 0223. At the outset I also have a JBA carrier on 3265.1, which could be the other `BCQ, but not committed to carry this. Meanwhile, the BBC does start at 0200 on 7490 and 6159.9v following the far right nonsense from Hal Turner. I don`t need to listen now since I heard it the first time via webcast, but I hope others are getting it better now than I am, with too much storm noise from the SW corner of KS and the SW quadrant of OK. I notice immediately that they are not synchronized: 6159.9 is a word ahead of 7490, and 5130 is a few words behind 7490. By 0223 all three register S9/+10 on the meter, and 7490 suffers the least storm noise, 5130 the most as to be expected. Now if this were only on 9330 instead of the wacko flat-earthers, would be loud and clear. Too bad the deal with WLC did not allow for WBCQ`s own programming to take over on special occasions or for a few hours per week. It`s the least they could do for causing Allan so much grief to keep it running (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 7703 approx., June 4 at 0555, local scratch noise blob peaking here and elsewhere is still/again on. And circa 1400, when an OG&E maintenance truck is spotted next to my closest pole, the one with the automatic streetlight circa sundown, but soon gone and no change yet in the problem. 7703 et al., gone again at 0121 check June 5, clearing the bands for unfettered storm noise (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0305 UT June 5

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CHINA [and non]. 13070 & 12880, June 3 at 1358, CNR1 jammers with song, about to go off.
>From 1433 June 3, a bunch more for this hour, some with // audio, others carriers only and presumed: 13160 S4-S8, 12820, 12800, 12190. At 1437, 11580, 11460, 11440, 11170, 11150, 11100, 11070 S9-S6, 10920, 10870, 10820, 10160, 10040, 9060; At 1452, 11775 // 11070, 11900; At 1455, 12210, 12450? 11370, June 3 at 1439, JBA carrier presumed rather new local mix of 1390 KCRC + 9980 WWCR TOMBS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 12030, Wed June 3 at 2200-2230, REE English monitored for convenience via UTwente SDR, much better there than 9690: second program in revived series is nothing but Allison Hughes narrating, with some musical relief, a detailed review of how the pandemic has affected Spain, finished just in time, ``hasta pronto`` for the 2230 timesignal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2036 monitoring: confirmed Wed June 3 from 2100:20 on WBCQ 7490v, VP. Next, and last repeat: 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Terry Colgan, Austin TX, who sent a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702. New WOR 2037 should be ready by early UT Friday June 5 for first WRMI broadcast at 2200 on 9955 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9955, June 3 at 2051, 9955 WRMI is already on instead of *2100, with screaming gospel huxter, Blalock the Blaster as the `Full Gospel Hour` [sic] is now scheduled M-F at *2030. 15770, June 3 at 2057, on WRMI good signal, Bob Biermann musing, upwrapping HIS `Your Weekend Show` as far as you can get from a weekend, on Wednesday! So much for R. Tirana relay at 2030: in fact, I see on the skedgrid that it and preceding Prague at 2000 are now relegated to Mon & Tue only, obviously dispensable for other programming the rest of week. 2100 into TOMBS. 7780, June 3 at 2100, no signal detectable from WRMI-1, off? JBA carriers are on lower 5950 & 5800. 9395, June 3 at 2102, WRMI relay of RAE in Italian as scheduled, but will it be octolingual by hourend? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Correxion: of the three 1270 stations, one of them is non-direxional, KSCB, fixed: 1270, June 2 at 2014 UT, in full daytime conditions, KRXO Claremore (Tulsa) OK silly sports talk at 5 kW with heavy SAH of exactly 1 Hz from another groundwaver: got to be either 50 kW KFLC from Benbrook (Metroplex) TX with Spanish sports talk; or 5 kW KSCB Liberal KS talk/sport. KRXO and KFLC direxional to complicate. Need to DF and/or pull a language. Which I undertake 24+ hours later, June 3 at 2039 UT; on the same setup, R75 and E-W longwire, now the subaudible heterodyne is only 47/minute or 0.78 Hz, so one or both must vary over time. Then at 2045, I try the DX-398 portable outside, which has good sensitivity and nulling: The main SAH peaks ESE/WNW, i.e. Claremore and Liberal which are a few degrees from colinear, opposite direxions thru Enid. At 2048, I count the SAH at 50/minute = 0.83 Hz --- really varying, or margin of error? But almost-nulling those, favoring SSW, I hear another weaker beat, of 154/minute = 2.57 Hz, and that has to be from KFLC in TX, against one of the others. Next at 2053 I try the NRD-545 with E-W magloop. This pulls in two audios, both English AFAICT, and the beat is 49/minute = 0.82 Hz. I cannot measure frequencies to fraxions of Hz, but only *compare* those which are not zero-beat --- and lax engineering of US stations insures that is: most of them. Two of these stations make mwoffsets list, only a year or two old: 1270 1269.9985 USA KRXO (Claremore, OK) 2018-12-01 1270 1270.0006 USA KFLC (Fort Worth, TX) 2019-01-03 That means the SAH between them would be 2.1 Hz, not too far from my current reading. Distances, city-to-Enid city: Claremore OK 203 km = 126 stmi Liberal KS 281 km = 174 stmi Benbrook TX 415 km = 258 stmi Ground conductivity is mostly 30 over this part of OK, the greatest to be found anywhere overland, maybe into 15 by BB TX. Tulsa itself may be 15, but only 8 in a small area west of Tulsa between us --- 8 is the same poor figure as across the MO/AR Ozarx. Direxionality: 5 kW KRXO favors ENE/WSW with minor lobe at right angle, but Enid appears to be close to a notch between them. 50 kW KFLC aims major lobe to the east but fairly broad with some daytime signal thisaway; 5 kW KSCB non-direxional. This is an example of *pure DXing* as we have no interest whatsoever in these stations` stupid sportstalk programming, whatever the language. And no ionosphere required! (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9025, June 3 at 1445, open carrier (WOOB CNR1 jammers are always(?) on -0 frequencies) (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 10930 approx., June 3 at 1444, local noise blob outlier, along with stronger usual peak areas in 9-11 MHz span (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 13131.31, June 3 at 1400, very weak ``puta madre`` 2-way in Spanish; must have a fine sense of symmetry (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0024 UT June 4

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** GREECE. 9420, June 3 at 0034, I find Voice of Greece S9+10 in English, interviewing someone in Zimbabwe, with consecutive translation and discussion of what he has said; about challenges in agriculture, climate change, water shortage, paying off debt run up by previous government; hopes to make a turnaround like Greece. Compares the two countries geographically. There are some connexions, like Greek churches and schools in Harare, and plans for the first Greek university in Africa. The subject is of Greek heritage, his father still speaking Greek; hopes to visit Greece often with his family when that becomes possible. End of interview by 0051. One of those surprise benefits of SW bandscanning, as I never expected to be learning about Zimbabwe in this way (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** KUWAIT. 17550, June 2 at 2002, no signal at all from R. Kuwait, Arabic to C&W North America at 2000-2400, as scheduled for A-20 as well as B-seasons, 250 kW at 350 degrees. If it ever make it, this is the time, June-July with maximum Arctic transpolar insolation, while it`s completely foolish to try it in the winters, starting out near midnight local time! I am about to conclude it continue to be a phantom service, not even really trying. With a few more sunspots, it`s possible and have logged it only during previous summers (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 6185, June 3 at 0029, S9+10 open carrier/dead air from XEPPM: I struggle to detect any JBM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ROMANIA. 11730, June 2 at 2313, something new here, very poor sounds Spanish; could it be RRI? ex-11800 usurped by Cuba? No CCI there any more as I reported immediately RHC moved from 11850 a few weeks ago. This would be // 11990 RRI, but that signal is JBA, too weak to match on a second receiver. By 2325 I check them on UTwente SDR, and yes, both are VG with RRI in stilted Spanish about their anti-Communist revolution. Must be very recent switch as latest HFCC dated 29 May still shows RRI on 11800, not 11730 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 17775-, June 2 at 2000, KVOH is on today but JBA with English and Spanish IDs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5130, UT Wed June 3 at 0122, this WBCQ is on but JBA, presumably with W5KUB`s `Amateur Radio Roundtable` of Tuesday evenings. Simultaneously, 5085 WTWW-2 is loud but no QSO ham show, rather Ted hyping ``Global Hot 100`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. By June 3, WWCR has belatedly put up new schedules; transmitters dated June 1-August 31, and programming as of June 1: http://www.wwcr.com/program-guides/WWCR_Program_Guide.pdf 9980-7520-5890, as expected from monitoring, WWCR-4 has now been *sold out* to Brother Scare, 24/7 except for 3 hours weekdays it was already committed to other gospel huxters. BS had previously occupied lots of fallow hours on the other transmitters, and those continue on 3215, 4840, 9350, 12160, 13845, 15825 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1270, June 2 at 2014 UT, in full daytime conditions, KRXO Claremore (Tulsa) OK silly sports talk at 5 kW with heavy SAH of exactly 1 Hz from another groundwaver: got to be either 50 kW KFLC from Benbrook (Metroplex) TX with Spanish sports talk; or 5 kW KSCB Liberal KS talk/sport. All of them direxional to complicate. Need to DF and/or pull a language (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. June 2 at 2010, the 9-11 MHz area is free of local noise blobs, but I fear it`s some device intermittently turned on if not random electrical shorts (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0342 UT June 3

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CUBA. Correxion: initially I called this REE instead of RHC! Fixed:
11950-11975, June 1 at 2250, RHC splattering out of 11950 transmitter; sounds a lot like the local noise blobs OG&E has been working on, so at first feared they remain, but these have matching modpeaxe to 11950. Not unusual for this frequency to be active before 2300 despite its razón de ser the `Mesa Redonda` separate TV audio soundtrack hour nominally from 7 pm local (not 00-01 UT, don`t you believe Aoki/NDXC`s outdated standard time info among others for RHC). Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 9980, June 2 at 1331, girl-molester Brother Scare is here on reactivated WWCR-4 transmitter; this frequency available 12-24 UT, elsewhen 7520 or 5890, the latter again BSing circa 0600. Looks like TOM has expanded greatly onto this formerly mostly-idle transmitter. WWCR still has not updated its transmitter or program schedules for June. So how about TOM? Ha! Still a year out-of-date: https://overcomerministry.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Overcomer-Ministry-Radio-Log-June-2019.pdf (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. (9690), Now I`ve listened to the archive recording of the first resumed REE English broadcast June 1: https://mediavod-lvlt.rtve.es/resources/TE_SEMIF01/mp3/9/2/1591100322329.mp3 Justin Coe & Alison Hughes are together again, but they speak for only the first 4 minutes; no one at REE has been lost, but some colleagues in other parts of RNE. In general tribute to COVID-19 victims, they introduce this beautiful piece of music, Requiem by Francisco Guerrero, not familiar to me, but even in extended podcast it`s truncated, cut off abruptly at 32:42. And it looks like they are back to their old format for ``English``, mostly filled with music rather than much if anything about current events in Spain or anywhere (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, June 2 at 1615, WLCR via WBCQ-6 is on in English, but poor signal, this hour registered as only 250 kW at 300 degrees to western and central Canada --- if on 15105! AFAIK, WBCQ-6 SuperStation has never attained any frequency but 9330, despite http://hfcc.org/data/schedbybrc.php?seas=A20&broadc=BCQ' for 6195, 13590, 15105, 12080, at various times besides 9330. AW has now twitted about 9330 resuming: ``Allan Weiner @AllanWBCQ 22m[inutes ago at 1505 UT June 2] The BIG one back on the air. Replaced the screen bypass capacitor (again). Hopefully it will hold. Tune 9330khz for WLC programming. Today at 3pm tune in 7490khz for good tunes and commentary. 3265khz evenings at 9pm for more. All for you on the BCQ. A&A in front of the PA [caption].`` He still doesn`t say *what* programming is on 3265, inaudible in OK, but here`s a report to the WOR iog: ``WBCQ, Monticello, Maine, 3265, May 28, 0455, EE with re-broadcast of WHVW, 950 AM, Hyde Park, New York programming with continuous eclectic mix of older jazz/big band tunes. ID at 0412 "950 On Your Radio, WHVW", more music, this time older R&B, then off at 0413 in mid-song. No WBCQ ID heard; 34233 (JRC NRD 535D; antenna 28m longwire with 9:1 Unun) (Robert Butterfield, Columbia, MD, USA)`` WHVW, 500/57 watts U1, is the station of Pirate Joe = J. P. Ferraro, AW`s longtime cohort, not the only case such programming has filled time on WBCQs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1520, June 2 at 0605 UT, KOKC OKC with equal level QRM, soon recognized as the KYND Cypress TX barker-for-business loop, despite being a 25 kW DAYTIMER. This has been going on for over a year, at least sporadically. Where`s the FCC? KOKC must not even care to complain, as it does not care either to resume its licensed full power of 50 kW. Who cares about ``clear channel 1520``, with a translator on 95.3? 1540-, same time, a LAH here no doubt the off-frequency Houston-market neighbor KGBC Galveston TX; ditto, FCC. 1560, not hearing Vietnamese from usually dominant KGOW Bellaire TX; something changed there? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 1370, June 2 at 0559 UT, I strain to make out a station slightly atop the graveyard-like jumble, and can almost imagine an ID as KGNO, and mention of FM 103.something? That Dodge City KS station cannot be heard on 5 kW ND day power as it used to be, at least at SR/SS, but night power, if any, probably running 24h is 230 watts. NRC AM Log does not show any FM for it, nor does own token website: https://www.swksradio.com/kgno-1370-am/ The Log does show a possible 1370 with FM 103.5, KAWL York NE with 176 ND watts night on 1370 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. The local noise blobs are still rampant, checked June 2 at 0536-, typically ~20 kHz wide, and now I see a pattern, at intervals of ~360 kHz apart: starting with 9850-9870 at S7-S8; then: 9490-9510, 9130-9150, 8770-8790, 8410-8430, 8055-8070, 7697-7717, 7340-7355, circa 6993 weak. At 1328 June 2, I find some higher ones at different intervals: 11215-11300, 10905-10945, 10690-10720, 10560-10580, 10200-10225, 9830-9855. At 1418, even higher, 11630-11655 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1717 UT June 2

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CUBA. 11950-11975, June 1 at 2250, REE splattering out of 11950 transmitter; sounds a lot like the local noise blobs OG&E has been working on, so at first feared they remain, but these have matching modpeaxe to 11950. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** INDIA. 7380, June 1 at 0053, S9+25 signal with DSB tone close to 1000 Hz, almost overcoming 7375 Romania; what? 0101 YL in unID language, music with very minor harmonies; 0109 now OM in S Asian language. It`s the AIR Sindhi service at 01-02, which Jose Jacob said resumed May 9. Sindhis are in both northern India, and Pakistan. But this is an ``external`` service; HFCC registered as 0045-0200, 400 [sic] kW at 300 degrees from Bengaluru (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6925, June 2 at 0043, VP signal, mushy music chanting & yelling, on USB & LSB, but unstable carrier seems reduced. Several logs here say it`s Yeah Man Radio, but no complaints about the audio, rather ``sounding great here``: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,67858.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 9690, June 1 at 2130, accurate timesignal and ID as REE, so back in business as of today, after default to domestic RNE relay fillers. YL`s program, didn`t catch title, said it was the first one in three months. In Spanish. Unfortunately I was distracted after 2200, but by 2245 recheck REE is in French on 9690 VG, 11940 good, 11670 VP, and 12030 missing --- so English probably also resumed at 2200-2230 (M/W/F). That`s soon confirmed as I check the WOR iog: Alan Roe, Teddington UK, said at 2121: ``The REE programme guide on their website at https://www.rtve.es/radio/radio-exterior/programacion/ has today (1 June) changed to show programming in English from 1 June (at 2200, French at 2230 and Portuguese at 2300 UT). If confirmed shortly, then that will be a welcome return to shortwave of these language services following the disruption caused by Covid-19. Scheduled frequencies are 9690, 11670, 11940 and 12030 kHz (12030 not currently audible here (2115 UT - may be off air at present).`` And he follows up at 2207: ``REE English language service confirmed back on-air at 2200 on 1 June on 9690, 11670 & 11940 kHz, with a short introduction by Justin Coe and Alison Hughes remembering lost colleagues at REE and playing Requiem music.`` Harold Frodge, MI, adds at 2210: 11940 VGood at 2200, 11670 fair & only a tone on 12030. 9690 best. At 2205 running Requiem by Francisco Guererro`` I want to hear that. REE`s huge podcast archive has not yet added the latest #2162, since 14 March, tnx to direct link in the WOR Hitlist: https://www.rtve.es/alacarta/audios/emision-en-ingles/ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2036 monitoring: confirmed UT Tue June 2 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, poor S7-S9, but good via UTwente altho with its local click/buzz QRM problem. Next: 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW [off air last week] 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Terry Colgan, Austin TX, who sent a contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, June 2 at 0046, WLCR via WBCQ-6, June 2 at 0046 is back on in Brazuguese, only S8 to S9+10 offbeam here. Guess they rerefixed the ring around the tube socket thingie, but for how long? Was not on earlier June 1. As of 0325 UT June 2, no AW twits about this yet, since the last one May 31 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7489.98 approx., UT Tue June 2 at 0051, the unique Spanish accent of Bill Tilford during FTIOM on WBCQ-1; with BFO can tell the carrier is unstable. Good signal level by this hour. Nothing on 6160v or 5130 now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7520, June 2 at 0050, Brother Scare is here now at S9+50 via WWCR-4. Wacko stuff about HAARP causing earthquaxe. On the transmitter sked expiring May 31, the only one yet visible, 7520 was available 00-02 UT but preferable totally blank programming (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0414 UT June 2
