Hauser
** BOLIVIA. 5935, July 8 at 2358, no trace of Radio Yura, and WWCR is
not on yet. That idiot***, SHN in Denmark, had reported it active to
HCDX from *2240 July 6 via remote in Brasil. Followed by Claudio Galaz
in Chile: ``5935. R. YURA. July 7. 0030-0054 UT. Woman talks and
music. 24232, File: https://archive.org/details/152170070743
(Claudio Galaz, Receptor: TECSUN PL - 660; Antenna: Long Wire; QTH:
Ovalle, Chile)``

It`s a 55 second clip, horrible reception, I can`t understand
anything, let alone an ID, sounds distorted, and with buzz noise
level.

***I would never be so rude as to call any fellow DXer an idiot,
unless he has already called me one --- for objecting to Cuban jamming
including vs my own program (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 9664.86v, July 8 at 2346, weak signal with Brazilian talk
and hymn, ``He Will Take Care of Me``, so RVM is active again and on
the minus side of nominal 9665 instead of plus or doubleplus (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 11780, July 8 at 2352, RNA is S7/S9+5 but seriously
suptorted. // 6180 not distorted and about as strong but noisier
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. Radio Martí is still on the air as usual July 9 at
0008, tho I can`t vouch for program content, 5980, 6030, 7335, 7365
and DRM 7345, all in well at TWR Bonaire and without any jamming
audible there. ``Informativa``, ha, checking since Kim Elliott posted
this:

https://www.radiotelevisionmarti.com/a/aviso-sobre-cambio-de-programaci%C3%B3n/268258.html

instalaciones. Seguiremos brindando información a nuestros oyentes a
pesar de estas medidas provisionales. Nuestro contenido de noticias y
programas se mantendrá a disposición de nuestra audiencia en la isla a
través de Televisión Martí, la página web
https://www.radiotelevisionmarti.com/
y las redes sociales. Siempre contigo, Radio y Televisión Martí.``

How vague. Richard Langley asks, what about 1180? I don`t know how it
normally makes it to Bonaire SDR, but at 0150 check, not // RM on SW,
presumably only hearing the Rebelde jammer pileup, so maybe Marathon
be off. No, the TWR Key West SDR is hearing them both at 0155 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** IRELAND [non]. 7290, July 8 at 1800, another anomaly check of IRRS,
ITALY [non] via BULGARIA, via UTwente SDR: Aïda and quick sign-on,
right into `Life Matters`, anti-abortion far-Christian show. But the
Wednesday schedule on nexus-iba website claims instead `Hope for
Today`, so it`s out of date, even more so still showing `War Room
Pandemic` at 1700, cancelled a couple months ago (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NIGERIA [and non]. 11770, since it appeared earlier July 8 for the
0600 VON broadcast, I wonder if it be on for the scheduled evening
transmissions, or instead one of the other channels? At 1907, no
reception here. At 1930 I tune UTwente SDR, to find 7255 occupied by
Türkish from CRI Kunming site, CHINA; 9690 occupied by SPAIN with no
het; but something very weak about 11769.9 vs huge splash from 11775
CRI German via Kashgar, EAST TURKISTAN. Checking Kiwi SDRs, there are
only two in the entire continent of Africa, both in RSA, and TWR one
tuned has no reception on 11770. However, the closest S American one
in Pernambuco does get a weak African signal on 11769.9 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, Wed July 8 at 2200, VOT English to North America is
on today, and I`m listening via UTwente SDR where reception is VG
after timesignal 2 seconds delayed as heard here, but there is a
humwhine, continuous except for one brief break. Alan Roe had reported
that the `Letterbox` had finally resumed after a long COVID-19 break,
when he heard it on the real 1230 broadcast on 15450, but not the
exact time, so I keep listening and note a bunch of different features
before it, starting with news on a variety of subjects, and then: 2210
Turkish Press; 2212 Foreign Press; 2214 Turkey leads in aromatic
plants; 2217 Today in History; 2219 Ephesus;

2222-2240 Letterbox program, ``been a long time``. Usual announcer
very informal and seemingly opening letters for the first time, from:
Stu Forsyth in NZ; China; Stefan Korona, Sweden; Pakistan;
UAE-Sharjah; Moscow; Pakistan; UK; Japan; Brasil; Montgomery/Chicago?
USA; Brasil; Malaysia. ``Next L`box in a week, goodbye.`` I did not
check 9830 for direct reception here until 2246, when I found it poor
S6-S9 with music.

As Alan Roe outpoints, ``It seems that some normality is returning to
the English service of Voice of Turkey. The programme today (Wednesday
8 July) heard at 1230 UT on 15450 kHz included the first edition of
the Letterbox Programme for many weeks. The announcer acknowledged
that this was the first edition following the impact of the global
coronavirus pandemic in Turkey. I had heard Letterbox on Wednesdays
back in February, so it looks like this is the confirmed day for the
programme. I still need to confirm, however, whether or not Letterbox
is repeated in its old slot on Saturdays. Alan Roe, Teddington, UK``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Sporadic E MUFs easily exceed 28 MHz around the continent,
but not 88 MHz, so I settle again for these 10m hambeacons, July 8 at
2057-2114, 60% relogs, info from WJ5O roster, not exactly measured
here but seem correct. For the two new ones, adding QRZ.com info. I
often have to listen to many repeats to get a definite ID as they tend
to fade out during it; and do not spend even more time to try to copy
the whole spiels:

28281, July 8 at 2057, DE W8EH, i.e.:
``28.281 W8EH C MIDDLETOWN OHIO # 8W, GP VERTICAL``

28284.8, July 8 at 2058, VVV N9TNY/B, i.e.

28298.3, July 8 at 2059, VVV VVV DE WC5W/B, i.e.
``28.2983 WC5W C MACY, INDIANA # 5W, VERTICAL NEW 16 June 2020``
``WC5W USA flag USA DWIGHT HAMMOND, MACY, IN 46951``

29254.5, July 8 at 2103, VVV VVV DE K4JEE/B, i.e.:
``28.2545 K4JEE C LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY # 5W, VERTICAL New 6 Nov 11``
I had a hard time copying the EE, two little dits, but this fits.
``K4JEE USA flag USA, RONALD G LARDNER, LOUISVILLE, KY 40216. As of
Nov.7th 2011 I put up a 10 meter beacon. Using a ID-O-MATIC at 15 WPM.
The frequency is 28.254.5. Rig is a Radio Shack HTX-100 running 25
watts. Antenna is cushcraft 10 meter vertical at about 35 feet. If you
would like a QSL no S.A.S.E. is necessary State side but I do require
one out of the U.S.A. Time and date and signal of beacon as well as
the frequency. Thank You And 73's Ron``

28297, July 8 at 2112, dits and DE NS9RC, i.e.:
``28.297 NS9RC C HIGHLAND PARK, ILLINOIS # 5W, VERTICAL QTH Change 30
May 17`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2041 monitoring: confirmed Wed July 8 from
2100:21 on WBCQ 7490.03, JBA here; at 2125 check, fair at Alexandria
SDR, better at Rochester.

Also confirmed UT Thu July 9 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, VG at UTwente SDR
where it`s aimed. Hellooo to all our listners at 2, 3 or 4 am in
Europe. Next WOR 2042 should be ready by early UT Friday July 10
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12050, July 8 at 2355, R Católica Mundial QSY announcement
to 5970 and Salve Regina IS chant; 5970 is up with same by 2359. But
they could overlap, admittedly two different transmitters. What
about:

WEWN English, however, still absent from 15610 in the afternoon, and
from 9385 at 0129 July 9 check: just as well, since it`s within one of
my local noise blobs. Does anyone know what the problem is or whether
they have given up on English after drastically reducing it months ago
from the original 24/7? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

I hurried to get this report out before LRA36 closed in case others could hear it, but:

Reception had improved by 1555, no QRM and modulation OK, mostly readable; extended again past 1600, OM announcer breaks into song briefly at 1607; 1614 another song and ``un abrazo grande`` from YL; final credits briefly and song until 1615, off? Not quite, back with a bit more music until plugpull at 1615.7* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey July 8 at 1358: nothing below 13560
except 12880 & 12870 S7-S9, JBA on 12820. 1359 quick check above and
below 11 MHz at 1359 finds only 11100 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 4765, July 8 at 0100, no signal from Radio Progreso,
nominally 0030-0400. Mark Coady, Ont., also mentioned not hearing it
in his July 7 report but without a specific date and time, assuming
that was due to poor propagation. But something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5040, July 8 at 0545, RHC in wrong language, still Spanish
instead of English so not // 6000 JBM, 6145 undermod, and 6100 best,

at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 6185-, July 8 at 0548, at first seems XEPPM is AWOL, no
signal, but then a JBA carrier and offset-minus, so probably it but
QRP, exciter only? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 11769.904V, slightly unstable, July 8 at 0554, guess what,
VON is trying a third frequency for the 0600 Hausa broadcast, instead
of 7254.9 or 9689.9, both of which have been heard recently but vacant
now. Or a mistake? This is normally its evening channel only. HOA-type
music at tune in; 0558 IS of drum and flutish; 0600 first spoken word
is ``Nigeria``. This is the SSOB, equivalent to 12200 Cuba harmonic,
stronger than 11895 Chinese, i.e. CNR1 jammer vs RFA via Saipan, and
much stronger than 11835 Vanuatu harmonic. What`s next, 15120? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 89.5, July 8 at 0240 UT and beyond, still there at 1550,
strong open carrier with $ tereo pilot on, encountered as I am
fruitlessly bandscanning for sporadic E DX since there`s a 106 MHz MUF
spike around Wyoming. 89.5 is one of our few almost-open frequencies.
Nearest full-powers are KWGS in Tulsa and KHCD in Salina, but there is
no enhancement from other stations in those areas and both are
normally inaudible. Perhaps a neighbor`s unoccupied RF feeder?
Certainly not mine (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. CNR1 jamming survey, July 7: at 1335, 13530 in Chinese, S7
to S9+10.

From 1340: 13070 S7-S9; 12880 S8-S9; 11440 S3-S4 with flutter; 11150*
JBA; 11100 S6-S8; 11070 S1-S3.

At 1358: 14500, JBA carrier.

Rescan the above ranges shortly after 1400: ALL above frequencies
off.

At 1453: 11460, JBA Chinese.

*BTW: the local wideband noiseblobs I first complained about weeks
ago, at approx. 360-kHz intervals in the 7-11+ MHz range are still
there but quite a bit weaker than originally; no doubt OG&E has quit
working on that problem unless I keep after them. One peak QRMs the
11150 above, and another is centered about 9395, bad news for hearing
anything on WRMI-6 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13766 & 13635 approx., July 7 at 1339, JBA spurblobs out of
13700 RHC, plus & minus 64-65 kHz, trace of F# tones, first time
detected in weeks, but hardly up to par. Something`s always wrong at
RHC. 1446 recheck still trace about 13635 while 13700 rates S9 to
S9+10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, July 7 at 1451, S9+20 open carrier already on warming
up for CRI Plus relay in English, now restricted to only one hour from
1500. Unknown how much then managed to modulate (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** ITALY [non]. 7290, July 7 at 1756, via UTwente SDR, checking IRRS
Tuesday since on Monday at least half of the following hour was dead
air, possibly all of it instead of WORLD OF RADIO --- did anyone hear
it then, or try to? Open carrier on at tune-in, VG signal with usual
QRM de 7291 RTTY and splashes from 10 kHz plus and minus; a few sex
before 1759 cut on modulation amid Aïda theme --- which is not always
to be heard at all; just before 1800 very brief sign-on and right into
`Feature Story News` for 5 minutes, not just headlines, starting with
Bolsonaro gets it, CV situation in Australia; 1803 sports segment.
1805 no program intro but a fan of Danny Doyle starts talking and
eventually plays a song of his; very Irish. He died last August, so
this is not news now:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Doyle_(singer)
Ireland, you know, is the real corporate HQ of IRRS, not Italy; tax
haven?

1832 recheck, still modulating and `AWR Wavescan` is underway, same as
heard earlier via Zambia, first item about past clandestines in New
Hebrides/Vanuatu. Later about Gough Island, beyond Tristan da Cunha,
whence we learn it`s pronounced Goff, as webresearch suggests, even
tho there are no inhabitants now to ask.
https://www.howtopronounce.com/gough
Like ``cough`` tho one example is more like ``guff``. Recheck 1858
whether `WS` will get chopped off like Dan Roberts? Yes, IRRS sign-off
at 1859, but only as Jeff is reciting the postal address in closing
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11820.045, July 7 circa 2000, Arabic bits alternating
with Qur`aning, JBA but sufficiently soporific to accompany my
napping. This SBC always off+frequency plus (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12050, July 7 at 1402, WEWN Spanish frequency is S9 of dead
air; by 1450 recheck now is modulating RCC stuff. English still AWOL
from 15610 at 1924 check, while 15825 WWCR, q.v., is 20 over 9 at
about same megameter distance, different angle clockwiser (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15825, July 7 at 1925, WWCR has sporadic E boost to S9+20,
enhancing the #1 squeal, but wait, there`s MORE: Double audio at equal
levels, not only TOMBS as scheduled, but some other gospel huxter
aiming for children, including kidsongs about Jeezus. I compare to
other WWCRs and other BS: 9980, WWCR-4 is blasting with Overcomer
alone; 9455, WRMI likewise; not // other WWCRs, 12160 with political
huxter, and 13845 with Dead Gene Scott; BTW, 13845 is relatively weak
compared to 12160 & 15825, which does not make sense propagationally;
must axually be underpowered.

But what is the second audio? At 2023 I concentrate on that for a
while; maybe same program, closing with contact info including website
several times, reallifewithjackkidd.org --- not sure about the Kidd as
he never spells it. Also phone 877-777-2346, and P O Box 12, somewhere
with ZIP 91709; 2025 into USA Radio News, which of course is also
far-right, far-Christian slanted, a perfect fit.

91709 is Chino Hills, San Bernardino county, California. Since the
other WWCR transmitters are otherwise occupied, could this be bleeding
from co-located AM subsidiary, 1300 WNQM?

No program schedule at http://www.1300wnqm.com/
but does list programs for linkages without times at
http://www.1300wnqm.com/pgm-links_wnqm.html
but nothing resembling that described above.

Suddenlink search is smart enough to figure out it`s really this:
https://reallifewithjackhibbs.org/
So direct look at it:

https://reallifewithjackhibbs.org/listen/
leading to what matches today`s very episode: ``Being A Christian
While Being A Kid – C - July 7, 2020 - Colossians 1:9-14``

Those verses are about indoctrination, per my free NIV pocket ``The
Way for Cowboys`` Bible handed out years ago at an Enid Expo home
show. Of course, kids are religion-free until elders start implanting
something. And thence to

https://reallifewithjackhibbs.org/stationlisting/
including, before I even get to Tennessee, filed between DC and
Florida!:

``europe & africa
City Station Frequency Day & Time
Shortwave WWCR 15.825 MHz M-F 3:00 PM``
In Eu & Af you have to know to convert CDT to local time!

Never mind WNQM, not on the roster. Belatedly I check WWCR-1 program
sked, and bingo, there is Real Radio, with Jack Hibbs M-F at 2000-2030
UT, so B.S. is the intruder now on 15825, not vice versa.

There is probably a pot dedicated to TOMBS on the audio mixer feeding
#1 transmitter, which has been left open as well as the intended
program source. Can it be that at 1300 WWCR Avenue, no one is
listening to their own station? Then how can they expect anyone else
to? I certainly would not unless I run across something wacko like
this. Vying with RHC for SAWA status?

Paul Buch in California also noticed this double audio at 1905

** U S A. 15555-USB, July 7 at 1448, trace of talk i.e. WJHR Milton

on hardly propagable band without sporadic E (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 27385-LSB, July 7 at 1930, pileup of freebanders on the
most active frequency, with sporadic E regnant here and on regular CB
channels, if not the 10m beaconband. One mentions ``on the shore of
Lake Erie``; another, ``Kentucky``; at 1946, ``107, 14-14, Chicago ...
73s and enjoy your DX``. It seems the FBers have some kind of
numerical ID system. Can anyone explain or even reference a roster?
More such activity on 27375-LSB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
