Glenn Hauser logs July 23-24, 2020 |
|
Friday, July 24 2020
![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CANADA. 248-MCW kHz, July 23 at 0633 UT, ND beacon dash and WG, which is 1000 watts from Winnipeg. Good to hear a Canadian again on LW; some storm noise but lower than usual as nothing lightning much in the Great Center of America, just scattered spots further to the west and east. Also logged several from USA; Q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, July 23 at 1354-1400, some audibly Chinese, some JBA carriers: 13530, 13160, 13150, 12880, 12500, 12190, 11170, 11150, 11120, 11100, 10960, 10920, 10820 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6082-6118, July 23 at 0619, range of splatter out of S9+40 suptorted 6100 RHC English. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9580, July 24 at 0146, CRI English relay is S9+20 but suptorted. Wiggle that patchcord. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO [and non]. 1090, July 23 at 0600 UT, once again KAAY Little Rock AR drops to dead air, so I amplify the opportunity and also null it for what else may right-angly audiblize: Spanish, timecheck for 1 AM, brief announcement mentions milenio.com but I don`t hear a specific ID. The IRCA Mexican Log has lots of details about each station but does not mention milenio in connexion with this or any 1090 station. In fact ``milenio`` does not appear once in the huge file, so such info is beyond its scope. Wikipedia however soon confirms this: ``XEAU-AM is a radio station on 1090 AM in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It is owned by Multimedios Radio and carries Milenio Radio along with sister station XHFMTU-FM 103.7 HD3.`` ToH is not for news on either station; XEAU plays music, first a familiar instrumental non-Mexican song, and then 0603 one in English before KAAY remodulate at 0605 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2044) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6930-USB, July 24 at 0126, rock music S5-S7 vs HSNL; 0129 ``You are listening to Black Star Radio`` by synth? bass voice. 0153 interrupted by buzz for a few sex, probably my streetlight igniting circa sunset, but not in a position to view it. Keeps going with dense rock and occasional unreadable announcements, nor are the song lyrix, past 0219+ but off at next check 0237. Several logs here agree it was Blackstar Radio, https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,69772.0.html between 0042 and 0138 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS. 13795.049, July 23 at 1438, VP talk, on such an offset must be USAGM here: yes, RFA Cantonese via TINIAN, this hour only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 341-MCW, July 23 at 0632 & 1349 UT, NO signal from local Woodring Airport, Enid NDB, EI. Easy go, easy come? 515-MCW, July 23 at 0640 UT, however, PN in Ponca City is back after missing a few days (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** U S A. ND beacons audible now that storm noise level has diminished, July 23 at 0633-0640 UT: 251-MCW, AM, 100 watts from Amarillo TX 326-MCW, MA, 400 watts from Midland TX 332-MCW, IC, 400 watts from Wichita KS --- QRM from a weaker, CZX? Nothing similar listed fits at dxinfocentre.com --- but there it is at classaxe.com which digs deeper: CZX Crosbyton TX, power unknown. Where`s that? Just east of Lubbock and south of Floydada 341-MCW, OIN, 25 watts from Oberlin KS, in absence of Enid`s EI; but even when EI is on, OIN can be audible too 353-MCW, LI, 400 watts from Little Rock AR; vs 350 RG in OKC, when tuned first to 351-USB. Another check 1349-1353 after sunrise but maybe some skywave remain: 293-MCW, FBY, 25 watts from Fairbury NE 404-MCW, HU, 25 watts from Hutchinson KS; tuned to 402-USB See also CANADA; OKLAHOMA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2043 monitoring --- this from Harold Frodge: ``7490.02 WBCQ Monticello ME; 2112-2131+, 7/22; Glenn Hauser’s World of Radio #2043; item from me at 2123:50 but couldn’t copy; mentioned 1680 WPRR Ada MI off the air; WOR to 2129:25 WBCQ ID into Goddess Irina promo. SIO=453+ at tune-in with muted audio till about 2118 when got downright distorted; 2126:13 suddenly much better but still with muted audio (patch cord got wiggled?) Harold Frodge, Midland MI, USA, Drake R8B + 185' RW, ---- All logged by my ears, on my receiver, in real time. ----`` Also confirmed UT Thu July 23 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, VG at UTwente. Maybe a touch too much modulation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, July 24 at 0142, WRNO is still AWOL; does anyone care? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1680, another late night I was not hearing the open carrier from presumed WPRR, but meanwhile this reply about it from Jack Amelar, July 24: ``WPRR 1680 Ada, MI --- Glenn, I am copying you what I am sending to the MARE (Michigan Area Radio Enthusiasts) tip sheet about WPRR 1680 Ada/Grand Rapids MI. I hope you find it at least somewhat informative, and as always, you may reprint any or all if you wish. 73 Jack NY8D So here’s what I have observed in the past week with 1680 WPRR Ada / Grand Rapids. 1680 WPRR Ada, MI, 0015 July 18, 555 AM EE --- Back on with dead carrier to 0026 when R&B music pops in, ID “The Ride” then dead carrier again at 0037 to 0145 when I quit for the night. Next morning check at 1340 still dead carrier and again 0505 July 19, 1700 July 20 + subsequent checks. 0333 July 22, back on with R&B music, 0336 YL voice “WPRR Grand Rapids”. 0347 ID YL voice “102.5 The Ride”. 102.5 is LPFM W273DD located in Alpine Twp just NW of Grand Rapids. 1348 YL ID “WPRR 102.5 FM The Ride Ada-Grand Rapids” July 23 1308, on air, 2239 off air, 2347 WTTM Philadlphia fading in. Found the a website about the new WPRR-AM [1] “Welcome to 102.5 The Ride, Find all the information of this radio station here very soon!” And their Facebook page, [2] "102.5 The Ride R&B Station. Grand Rapids M.I. We are back! Steve Harvey, DJ Z Tyrone and Portia Bynum and The Legendary Commissioner Robert S, Womack! Black Radio at it's finest. Black Media Matters.” Radioinsight [3] reports, “95.3 LPFM W237CZ Grand Rapids sold to Grand Valley State University now relays 88.5 WGVU-FM Allendale. 90.1 WPRR-FM Clyde Twp (NW of Allegan and FWIW very close to the now remote controlled FCC Allegan monitoring station-JA) continues Public Reality Radio.” For WPRR-FM it appears the website [4] remains but needs updating. As far as the Movie Theater side of Goodrich Theaters and Broadcasting, according to Wikipedia [5], “In July 2020, Mason Asset Management, Namdar Realty, and VIP Cinemas purchased Goodrich Quality Theaters under the name Goodrich Theater Newco” [1] https://www.radioking.com/radio/102-5-the-ride [2] https://www.facebook.com/1025-The-Ride-RB-Station-109255857531096 [3] https://radioinsight.com/headlines/192611/102-5-the-ride-returns-adult-rb-to-grand-rapids/ [4] http://www.publicrealityradio.org/ [5] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodrich_Quality_Theaters As to who owns or will own WPRR is unclear to me.`` (Jack Amelar, Lowell MI via Glenn Hauser, WOR [but too late to include on WOR 2044]) UNIDENTIFIED. 15867-USB, July 23 at 1434, 2-way in Amerenglish, maybe military; nothing further but merits further surveillance. Search of UDXF iog hits USCG/DHS net recently logged (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0432 UT July 24

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** TURKEY. 9830, Wed July 22 at 2214-2231, VOT `Letterbox`, glad Emirler manages to be on the air today. I`m listening via UTwente with a very strong signal, no RTTY there, but quite a big hum on the carrier. Something is still always erroneous at Emirler.
After complaining it is unusually hot in Ankara, Anatolia, 39-37-36 degrees even tho it snowed last August, host starts with a very personal item: his longtime friend in Malaysia, he knew for 11 years there, ethnic Chinese, Tan-Seu-Yung (sp???), 64, altho a non-smoker, has lung cancer and is in the ICU. Via whatsapp, doctor answered his call but friend could not respond. Please pray for him. Caused host to cry which he says he does a lot. This occupied the first 5 minutes. Then acknowledged letters/reports from: Konstantin Barsenkov in St Petersburg, Russia; Malaysia; Peshawar, Pakistan; Italy, and host *sings* bits of two Italian songs from his childhood; south India; Allan Willie in Newfoundland with a 5-page report; Poland. At conclusion again asks for (Islamic) prayers for his friend, and also for himself; ``I love all of you, from my heart.`` I am always pleased when at least one subject on a mailbag show is known to me; this time, two: also heard directly from Konstantin last month with a QSL from him since he heard me mention him on WOR; and Allan Willie, better known as an ace MW DXer. 2231, on to next program, about a monastery, architecture and/or tourism? Carrier off at 2255* before there can be any extra German. Who is this host of `Letterbox`, who makes it such a touchingly human show? Alan Holder upon the Isle of Wight told us all about him last November: ``I have been corresponding with TRT on and off since 1970. The current presenter’s name on “Letterbox” is Halibrahim Sarıkaya (no dot on the ‘i’ – it is pronounced Sarekaya.`` I quoted Alan`s complete opus in my log report of Nov 16-17, 2019, which among many other places resides here: https://groups.io/g/odxa/topic/glenn_hauser_logs_november/60008098?p=,,,20,0,0,0::recentpostdate%2Fsticky,,,20,2,20,60008098 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 15610, July 22 at *1858.6 carrier cuts on from WEWN as I have been standing by to confirm their other English frequency / transmitter is also back on air after 9385 appeared last night. But it`s JBA, can barely perceive any modulation, as propagation is pitiful today, no sporadic E boost for this, nor 15825 WWCR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched July 22 at 2351

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** BRAZIL. 11780, July 21 at 2126, RNA is S8/S9+10 but JBM suptorted and some squeal. Wake up at the site (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA. CNR1 jamming survey, July 22 at 1346-1400: 11460; 11440; 11150; 11120; 11000- JBA carrier; 10920; 10820; 12500; 12550; 12795 S9; 12835 S9-S7; 12880; 13020; 13130; 13160 S5-S8; 13630; 13835; 13920; 14850; 14920; 16065?; 16160; 9230 timesignal to 1400* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11628 & 11712 approx., July 22 at 0114, extremely distorted spurblobs from 11670 RHC; F# tone also audible especially in FM tuning mode. Plus & minus 42 kHz, but no further multiples noted this time. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO [and non]. 1090, July 22 at 0600 UT, another dead-air hole provided by KAAY Little Rock, facilitating when nulled other hearage. Filled by music, brief unreadable Spanish announcement, then that song in English with strumming, morphing from ``Somewhere Over the Rainbow`` into ``What a Wonderful World``. Lovely, like this by IZ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z26BvHOD_sg So I do expect it to be XEAU Monterrey NL, 5/0.5 kW, which is conveniently close to right angle from KAAY, and could also be source of the English song last night. A fraxion of Mexistations do specialize in English music; sure beats TV infomercials. 0605 KAAY resumes with gospel music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28227.3-CW, July 22 at 1454, beacon VVV VVV DE KC0VDY/B: ``28.2273 KC0VDY C FRUITA, COLORADO 5W New 9 June 2018`` Fruita is just west of Grand Junxion on I-70 near Utah border. QRZ.com shows: ``KC0VDY USA flag USA, James C Jeffery, Ii, Fruita, CO 81521 USA I have a 10 Meter beacon that is on 28.2273 MHz running 5 watts through a vertical antenna. Let me know if you hear it. 73s`` Not as long as QRZ.com has this restrixion: ``Email: (Ham members only)`` 28224.5-CW, July 22 at 1500, beacon K5GJR/B ..., heard before: ``28.2245 K5GJR C CORPUS CHRISTI, TX # 5W, VERTICAL`` 29300-CW, July 2 at 1502, K5FRC/B, no further message, just ID like on 13565, which I`ve not heard in quite a while. WJ5O roster has this rather confusing info as it includes historical/outdated entries: ``28.300 K6FRC/B3 TRACY, CALIFORNIA 10W, VERTICAL QRT prior to 2016 28.300 K6FRC C TRACY, CALIFORNIA # 100W, "POGO stick" VERTICAL Freq change 8 July 09 28.300 K6FRC/B2 TRACY, CALIFORNIA 10W, VERTICAL Backup transmitter for K6FRC/B`` --- but no listing for the call I do hear, K6FRC/B. However most of the hundreds of listees omit the /B which most of them do transmit (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2043 monitoring: Next: 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Wayne Davis, Trenton NJ, for a generous check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, with this note: ``Please accept this long overdue token of my appreciation for your decades of enrichment of our radio pursuit`` One may also contribute via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 6159.9v, UT Wed July 22 at 0054 open carrier; 0055 start ``WBCQ The Planet`` ID & IS loop, 0100 music and faux time signal, Hal Turner theme. Now it`s // 7490+ and 9455 WRMI. 5130.0 is not // the other WBCQs, 0057 music, 0100 `Whiter Shade of Pale`, 0106 brief talk unreadable, maybe attempt to start `Amateur Radio Roundtable` as sked, right back to music 0111+; too noisy (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9330, July 22 at 1400, WLCR via WBCQ-6 is gone again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9385, July 22 at 0116, WEWN English is finally back on after missing some 18 days, first noted absent July 4. Now it`s S9+20/30, seems stronger than before, rivalling WBCQ-6 9330, so maybe really refurbished with more power output. Back on July 13, frequency manager Glen Tapley had replied to my inquiry, ``Filament and cable repair. Should be back in a day or two``. Program now is discussing Planned Parenthood, no doubt negatively by the Catholix who prefer Random Parenthood, and who cares about overpopulation, a root cause of many of this world`s problems? 15610, afternoon frequency should also be back at 19-24; did not notice it in random tuning July 21 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, July 22 at 0124 and 0216 chex, no signal from WRNO, not unusual, nominally 0100-0400; is it frustrating for transmitters and receivers or does no one really care? ![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, July 21 at 1338-1400, a lot of them despite using indoor longwire due to storms. Noted S reading for some of the strongers; many confirmed by //, but some JBA carriers in usual spots so presumed. Chinese talk at first, later music:
13160, 12880, 12870, 12835, 12500, 12190; 14900, 14850; 16100 JBAC, 16300; 11460 & 11440 S9-S7; 11120, 11070, 10960 JBAC, 10920 S6-S9, 10820 S9/+10; 9230, 9200, 9180; then check inbanders: 11520, 11570, 11580=not synchronized; 11785; 9680, 9660. At 1428: 15110, 14980, 14690; 13160, 13020; 11550, 11120, 11070; 9180 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 11589, 11629, 11711, 11752, 11793 approx., July 21 at 0052, extremely distorted spurblobs out of RHC 11670 transmitter, at intervals of ~41-42 kHz, unlike last time, safely further from the other RHC fundamentals on 11760, 11800. Recheck at 0215 finds the same, plus maybe trace on 11834. Strangely enough, no acknowledgment of these bonus frequencies in Arnie`s latest ``official`` RHC schedule, which also includes several errors we know are untrue. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 7350, July 21 at 1334, no signal from RHC despite 1100-1500 schedule; uncomfortable spot, right smack dab amid Radios Martíes & jamming on 7335 & 7365. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ETHIOPIA. 6090, July 21 at 0252 open carrier S9+10/20 but vs HSNL; 0257-0300 plays nice 8?-note chime? interval signal, worth hearing clearly in a better season or closer pickup, i.e. Radio Amhara; thank you, PMS for keeping Anguilla off! Or via the terrific website http://intervalsignals.net/countries/ethiopia.htm which has a huge list of clips, three of them naming Amhara, not clear which one this be --- but none of them will play, all getting error messages. Has something happened to this site? We haven`t heard from David Kernick in quite some time. That was on IE, but worx OK on Firefox. It`s this first one called Amhara Regional Radio, recorded almost 11 years ago, and with Anguilla in the background: http://intervalsignals.net/Files/eth-amhara_state_240909.m3u Unfortunately, frequencies where recorded are not displayed. BTW, here`s a good article on current situation in Ethiopia, by Ian Bremmer in the latest issue of TIME: https://time.com/5864684/ethiopia-abiy-ahmed-hachalu-hundessa/ BTW2, a new season of Bremmer`s Gzero World has just started on PBS: https://www.gzeromedia.com/gzero-world-with-ian-bremmer/ but so far no sign of it on our OETA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** INDIA. 11560, July 21 at 0213, the wonderful AIR IS is playing, S6-S8 with flutter, 0215 into unknown language. This transmission is NOT in Jose Jacob`s latest schedule dated July 20: https://qsl.net/vu2jos/es/time.htm so apparently another service just resumed, but what? Original full B-19 sked in WRTH 2020 showed Pashto at 0215-0300 via Bengaluru. VU2JOS does show the evening Pushto on same from 1415. Here`s the same IS, but only once: http://intervalsignals.net/Files/ind-air_gos_210912.m3u (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6925-AM, July 21 at 0047, JBA carrier vs HSNL [high storm noise level], surely not Chile but per https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,69706.0.html it`s Foxy AM, from 2351 to 0058*, maybe back on later (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 515-MCW, July 21 at 0623 UT check, NDB PN at Ponca City is still OFF (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, July 20 at 2201, no signal from VOT, just NSS RTTY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2043 monitoring: confirmed UT Tue July 21 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, VG at UTwente SDR it`s aimed towards. Next: 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Wayne Davis, Trenton NJ, for a generous check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, with this note: ``Please accept this long overdue token of my appreciation for your decades of enrichment of our radio pursuit`` One may also contribute via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7730, UT Tue July 21 at 0038-0044, WRMI-13 segment in this week`s AWR `Wavescan` is tribute to the late Allan Loudell, a much-liked regular at the SWL Fests and Delaware broadcaster; with various clips altho we don`t hear much from himself (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5886 & 5894 approx., July 21 at 0210, the WWCR-4 transmitter on 5890 is flanked by some buzz peaks plus/minus ~4 kHz, maybe passing on a defect in the program modulation, which at this hour is E. C. Fulcher, TruthHouse Ministries rather than TOMBS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 1090, July 21 at 0601 UT, dead air from KAAY Little Rock, just like happened months ago night after night, but had not checked for it lately: automation fails to fill a news-hole. This makes it easier to DX other 1090 stations, nulling KAAY. I am expecting XEAU Monterrey NL as used to be primary and may be in mix now, but also something in English, song refrain, ``No, he`s my brother``, probably an hymn. Closest other candidates are KMXA Aurora CO, but is it still ``regional Mexican`` as in radio-locator.com? and 500 watts at night? Or KEXS Excelsior Springs [Kansas City] MO, EWTN English but zero watts at night? KEXS at 300 miles can make it here in a quiet daytime. Or??? 0605 gospel music modulation comes back on from the ESE, LR AR. KAAY may give us more DA chances, also perhaps at other hourtops (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 13972.7-USB, July 21 at 0050, 2-way in Spanish JBA, as heard on this frequency before lately, a regular? I wish some Mexican or other Latin American DXers, who could understand these better and hear them as well or better, would pay some attention and report what they are talking about, make assumptions about what kind of unlicensed communications these are --- but there is CERO interés, AFAIK (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) Espero que algunos colegas diexistas mexicanos o latinos, capaces de comprender mejor a lo que digan, y tal vez sintonizar más fuerte, presten atención a estas emisiones, y nos informen de qué se traten, suponer de qué tipo sean estos contactos sin licencia; pero me parece que existe ningún interés en este asunto (Guillermo Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 1916 UT July 21

Monday, July 20 2020
![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey July 20 at 1424: 13020 S5-S8; 12880 S6-S7; 12835 --- yes, ending in -5 --- S6-S8, not in EiBi or Aoki; 12190 JBA vs CODAR; 13530 S4-S6 vs CODAR; 13870 S5-S8; 13960 JBA carrier.
Now it`s 1430+: 14980 S5-S7; 14850 JBA carrier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. Let`s try again on linx to the pirate QSLs: I gave the wrong URL to my QSL page, should be: http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html From there you may click on the last two, #94 and #95. Direct link may also appear broken; it`s asking for trouble to make an URL with blank spaces in it: http://www.w4uvh.net/TRSW – TCOTM eQSL – Hauser.jpg so I have changed that to: http://www.w4uvh.net/TRSW_TCOTM_eQSL_Hauser.jpg Here are the complete items reworked: 6935-USB, pirate, Radio Nova sent eQSL without specific request, having seen my report of it July 19 at 0100; thanks! Says 100 watts, 43-foot vertical antenna; colorful illustration of two terrifying creatures costumed for some fiesta, #94 at: http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html http://www.w4uvh.net/RadioNova-QSL20.jpg with this note: ``Thank you for your reception report, which is much appreciated. Thanks for tuning in and we hope you enjoyed our “World Music #2” show, which featured the music of Juaneco y Su Combo from Perú and Radio Free Honduras. Your eQSL is attached. 73, RADIO NOVA`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA [non]. Thanks for eQSL from Texas Radio Shortwave for 6070 broadcast via Channel 292, GERMANY, #95 via: http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html http://www.w4uvh.net/TRSW_TCOTM_eQSL_Hauser.jpg with this note: ``Ahoy Matey Glenn – Third Mate Susan said “Until next time, remember that land was created to provide a place for pirates to visit.” You heard the inaugural Treasure Chest of Texas Music program and here’s your limited edition eQSL. Thank you for publicizing our broadcasts. We hope you’ll tune in again soon. 73 and Arrgghh. Always be yourself. Unless you can be a pirate. Then always be a pirate. Texas Radio Shortwave http://www.facebook.com/texasradiosw Sailing into your ears from the Lone Star State`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 14902-USB, July 20 at 1430, paramilitary net in English, no doubt CAP as regular at this hour (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 28254.5-CW, July 20 at 1505, VVV VVV DE K4JEE/B --- WJ5O roster shows: ``28.2545 K4JEE C LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY # 5W, VERTICAL New 6 Nov 11`` Previously logged July 8 and 12 at later hours. Also now an unID W- call around 28287 --- maybe WB0BIN, Sabin MN, logged a few times on 28286.5. Sporadic E MUF briefly exceeded 90 MHz, mostly below 80 or 70 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2043 monitoring: confirmed Monday July 20 from 1800.5 on IRRS 7290 Bulgaria, on UTwente SDR Holland, VG but with usual QRM, splash from Vietnam 7280 and Iran 7300, even with ~6 kHz bandwidth AMsync mode; and the RTTY warble always on 7291. Open carrier before 1758; cut on unknown rock music a few sex before 1759; quick IRRS ID just before 1800, and Feature Storry News headlines from Washington before WOR start. Continued intact past 1810. Next: 0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Thanks this week for financial support from Wayne Davis, Trenton NJ, for a generous check in US funds on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, with this note: ``Please accept this long overdue token of my appreciation for your decades of enrichment of our radio pursuit`` One may also contribute via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com PayPal not necessarily in US funds as they will convert. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1680+, July 20 at 0612 UT, dead air open carrier looping NE/SW, vs C&W from KRJO Monroe LA to the SE. I figure it`s probably WPRR Ada MI, which recently went ``off`` the air. I didn`t normally get WPRR well enough to listen to, KRJO dominant. These make fast SAH against each other, the NE one on the upper side. MWoffsets shows: ``1680 1680.0106 KRJO (Monroe, LA) [1679.9930-] 24h 2020-02-13 1680 1680.0167 WPRR (Ada, MI) [1680.0137-1680.02] 2019-11-08 unstable, swinging from 1680.018 to 1680.022`` But I would say this time they were at least 20 Hz = .020 apart. I asked Michiganders about this: ``Hi Harold & Kenneth, Last night at 0612+ UT I had an open carrier on 1680 looping NE/SW, vs Monroe to the SE, and the NE one was slightly higher in frequency, making fast SAH. I figure it was probably WPRR transmitter. Could you check out whether it`s on the air with OC? Glenn`` Kenneth Vito Zichi replies quickly: ``I would guess your assumption about the open carrier is correct. Jack Amelar in Lowell (near Grand Rapids and in a far better location to tell than either Harold or I) sent an email on Friday: "Tonight, 1680 is on with dead carrier. I can barely hear WTTM(p) under. Tuned into dead carrier at 0015 July 18. At oo26 "Hood" music pops in, heard an ID 88.? The Ride, back to Hood Music. at 0037 dead carrier again and still dead at 0140. And FWIW, somewhat related article "Goodrich Quality Theaters will reopen after being bought out of bankruptcy" https://www.mlive.com/news/2020/07/goodrich-quality-theaters-will-reopen-after-being-bought-out-of-bankruptcy.html 73 Jack NY8D"`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 14643-USB, July 20 at 1432, 2-way in Spanish; 13972.7-USB, July 20 at 1431, 2-way in Spanish (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1812 UT July 20
