Logs
** BRAZIL. 11780, Sept 6 after 2200 as I am checking direct for 11785
TURKEY, RNA is gone again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 870 at 0650 UT and 1040 at 0652 Sept 6, same
whooper sounds QRMing WWL and WHO, thought to be malfunxioning Cuban
transmitters (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, Sept 6 at 0305, S9+30/40 of dead air from RHC; and
15230, at 0306, S9/+10 not quite DA but JBM suptorted music, and NOT
// 6000 which has begun barely modulating in English with hum. I guess
15230 on Spanish program feed. Still no 9700 or any other frequency
found. Somethings always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Sept 6 at 0629, R. Rebelde is totally off, rather than
dead air usually by this hour. 4765 R. Progreso remains totally
unheard even before its nominal 0400*. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, Sept 6 at 1445, S4/S6 of dead air no doubt from RHC,
no other signals anywhere from 9 to 17 MHz bands, not even 11760 or
15140. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT [non?]. 9440, Sept 6 at 2205, JBA carrier direct so can`t be
sure where Cairo or BBC via Philippines this hour only (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 6185-, Sept 6 at 0634, XEPPM S9+25/35 of dead air or trace
of mod? Yet again, just when I would like to drift off by their nice
music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NICARAGUA. 28365 USB, Sept 6 at 2207, CQDX from YN9H as in
Honolulu, soon working a US N+ station. Quick scan hit no 10m beacons
so had to settle for phone, among a few other signals. QRZ.com: ``YN9H
Nicaragua flag Nicaragua, Henry Arauz Ubeda, Sacramento, Jinotega, JI
65000, Nicaragua. QSL: ONLY via QSL MANAGER EA5GL`` Long ago, an aunt
was confused as I tried to explain that a word like that was merely a
fonetik not a station location (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11514.9, Sept 6 at 0309, JBA carrier from presumed
Hikari FM pirate, Mexico. Gary Pence has managed to pull some
musicaudio from this via California remote. No signal here at 1448
check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 341 MCW kHz, Sept 6 at 0259, and still 1450 UT, no signal
from EnId`s least-known radio station, ND beacon EI, at Woodring
Airport. Had been reliable for many weeks and not logged. Even tho a
few km away, it was never a local bigsig, but not even a trace of
carrier now. This has happened before, but eventually resumed. Noise
level always a LW problem, but I still can at least JB hear 255 SW
Stillwater, 515 PN Ponca City and some Kansans (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 15390 & 15520, Fri Sept 6 at 2158, half the REE frequencies
are still OFF, a semiservice, leaving 17715; & best 17855 for N
America still on for 2200 token English, S9+30/40 direct. 2201 news
leads with shakeup in governmental financial officials; and new PM
finally named in France. 2211 feature interview about editing
Wikipedia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785+, Sept 6 at 2159 & 2200, no signal direct from VOT
English; *2200.4 carrier on at S8/S9 but no mod. After Spain check, by
2203 VOT is modulating during olds, 2213 Gaza death toll at 40K. 2214
`Review of the Turkish Press`, about Egyptian Pres. Sisi`s first visit
to Turkey, and Istanbul is Europe`s busiest airport. 2216
``with-you-every-hour`` promo and `Weekly Analysis` on improving
cooperation with Egypt following Sisi`s visit to Ankara. 2223 music.
2233 I`ve switched to UTwente at S9+50, ending `Turkish Folk Tales`,
music. 2236 `That`s Why` as always voiced by Efsun the accentuated, on
misconceptions about something, music. 2253 s/off ignoring SW, IS.
2256 restart IS with German IDs until chop 2259.8* just in time.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 332 MCW kHz, Sept 6 at 1450 UT, NDB IC, wIChita KS
is JBA. For so nearby and powerful at 400 watts, it`s always
incredibly weak and hard to reconfirm. And I have yet to hear any sign
of QT, 1000 watts from Thunder Bay, in normal winter night conditions
stronger than IC. Is it still on air? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 17629.989, Sept 6 at 1628, I`m standing by via UTwente
for new weekly VOA Fulani semihour. This Friday, cuts on *1629
audiblizing tail end of `Africa News Tonight` in English! 1630 switch
to Fulani, S9+15/20. Recheck at 1656 in some music. 1659 FuFu
announcement mentioning Washington, cut to dead air at 1700, and off
at 1700.3* without any closing in English, let alone YDD. Reportedly
via site BOTSWANA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2259 monitoring: Confirmed by timer
recording Friday September 6 at 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323,
quite sufficient.

Confirmed Friday September 6 at 2204 the 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9+10/20
but noisy direct.

Also confirmed Friday September 6 at 2257 the 2230 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975.000+, S9+5/10. Next:

0300 UT Saturday WTWW 5085;
0930 UT Saturday WRMI 9455 to WNW;
1430 UT Saturday SW Radio, Germany 6160;

** U S A. 9930, Sept 6 at 2210, WTWW with TOMBS, but 9475 with SFAW is
OFF. By 2338 recheck, both are on, so expect 5920 and 5085 later
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9455, Sept 6 at 0635, this WRMI reactivated, S9+15/20 of
TOMBS, slightly stronger than 9395, S9+5/15 of SMTV in - German, why
not? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Pre-check of WBCQs before `AAAWWW`, Sept 6 at 2345 into NH
SDR: 3265 and 5130 off. 6160 -71 Hz = 6159.929, S9+5/10 TOMBS. 7490
-72 Hz = 7489.928 with FKB. 2359 FKB gets the one-minute warning to
wrap up and does on 7490-; dead air, bit of extraneous rock/soul
music, deadair.

UT Sat Sept 7 at 0001 finally `Wm Tell Overture` theme. Now 5130 -74
Hz = 5129.926 is also on //, not 3265. It`s new, remarx over theme
``get those gears going`` and ``beaming not streaming`` -- really?
7490 is also streaming tho unchecked. ``Live`` from Studio 9, which
means Allan is back home in Deland of Fla, and finally with Angela in
view rather than on phone. Says has been shooting short videos of WBCQ
and putting on X - which I cannot view without compromise. It`s too
hot and too much rain. Worried about plastic pollution: each American
consumes a credit card`s worth of plastic each week. 0024 about EVs,
audio replacing radio, referring to Radio World articles. 0040 says
simulcasting on 7490 and 5130 but no datestamp; 5130 has been fixed,
it and 3265 are available for major airtime purchases, and some time
on 7490. Rest mostly political about ``stolen`` elexion - Angela will
never be convinced otherwise; ``Communist Democrats`; Harris a
``clown``. USA will be ruined if she`s elected rather than Trump: they
are still totally delusional. Just switch the candidates and parties
to get them back to reality, fat chance (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5890, Sept 6 at 0303, S9+30/40 of dead air from this WWCR
but still surrounded by a noisy field 5875/5905 or so. This also means
that there is modulation from 5935 TUN/PMS only on leapfrog mixing
product 5980 at S9+10. Something`s nonsensical at Nashville. This
particular hour is not TOMBS unlike all the others (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 1110, Sept 6 at 0654, C2CAM on KFAB now running 31 seconds
behind same on 1040 WHO; why? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VENEZUELA. 4940, Sept 6 at 0628, hymn? music at S7/S8 from Onda
Corta 4940 station. Sometimes on air overnight, usually not (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 10020 USB, Sept 6 at 0638, 2-way in tonal language,
almost musical-sounding. Nothing in Klingenfuß 2022y on this exact
frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 12195 AM, Sept 6 at 0310, S9/+10 again of open carrier.
Also at 0642 S6/S9, stronger than hardly any broadcast signal on the
25 mb (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15648.83 USB, Sept 6 at 2221, 2-way in colloquial
Spanish, whistling, and think I heard ``madre`` mentioned, as in short
for ``puta madre`` a staple interjexion of lowclass ops (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. WTWW: heat exchanger connections --- ``Picture # 1 was the
breaker that fed 240 volts to the heat exchanger directly. The heat
exchanger fans would come on anytime the outdoor temperature got hot
even when the # 2 transmitter was not on. This breaker was put in by
previous persons.

# 2 picture is the new fan connections to the transmitter through
conduit.

# 3 picture is the main blower relay that turns on the blower and
additional wires added to power the heat exchanger fans also, so the
fans come on only when the transmitter is turned on. George
McClintock  9-4-2024``

If anyone want to see the pictures, 3 MB each, I can forward them
individually (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 12195 AM, Sept 5 at 0637, S9+10/20 open carrier,
broadcaster quality but none here of course. Nothing in Klingenfuß
2022; this in UDXF iog might be related:

``Experimental market trader signals - Walt 07/13/23   #110834
I heard that there is a move to the FCC to make high-speed data
channels available for commercial use, mostly stock market bitcoin
type trading.

There is a transmitter site somewhere in the Puget Sound area, maybe
Everett, WA. Since there is an experimental license for wideband data
high power to be located at an old GTE central office building about a
mile from the Everett Boeing aircraft plant.

I have seen them transmitting 24/7 for the last month or two. No
fading, just solid S7 to S9 signal to a G33 receiver with a wellbrook
loop. I am about 30 miles east of Seattle.

TX freqs. in KHz with 60 KHz bandwidth are: 7930, 7980, 10240, 10386,
11090, 12145,
12195,
19535, 19635.

They are on 19635 right now. Oh - 10240 was only used for a few days
over a weekend about a month ago. I have not seen them there any more.
I think they must of gotten a call that Monday from some of our
'friends' and was told to move away from the popular COTHEN channel on
10242 KHz.

I have not worked hard to find the matching receive freqs. And maybe I
will drive around with the SDRPlay and see where they might be
located. In which case I will post. Walt``

I assume this Walt is not Salmaniw. More about this:
