![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) GLENN HAUSER`S EQUIPMENT. Some editors keep reproducing out-of-date list. Notably, FRG-7, out of service for many years. I still have two of them, neither funxional, on the table next to my primary Icom R75. Other primary is JRC NRD-545. I have several portables but the only ones in regular use as backup or mobile are Tecsun PL-880 and Radio Shack DX-398. Antennas, besides telescopic are indoor random wire clipons, Wellbrook ALA 330S loop indoor permanently aimed E/W for the JRC; and 100 foot E/W longwire for the Icom. And BSR-1 caradio, with fender antenna of about one foot which still gets amazingly a lot.
** ITALY. 18135 USB, June 7 at 2105, IZ5UGP says it`s too hot for him, 33-35 C, contact with weaker K4LZZ in NC. Found this after no activity on 28, 27, 24 and 21 MHz bands. 17855 Spain inbooming as usual so there ought to be more Eurohams on 18 MHz. But no other phone QSOs heard at all on band. Still audible are 341 EI Enid, and 350 RG OKC; not sure about 255 SW Stillwater in the storm noise (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, June 6 at 2225, VOTuerkiye English, VG into UTwente but with some hum, feature whose name is illegible in my scribble, about eroticism leading to dementia --- what?? Listening more closely, it`s neuroticism, whew; or unwhew? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, June 7 at 0501.5, UR1 via WRMI, `Ukraine: Security Issue` by YL, including: there`s a 2-day queue among survivors in Mariupol to get drinking water. Russia has set up ``looting centers`` where stuff stolen in Ukraine is for sale. VG via Maryland SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Our club's web site is: ns9rc.org To help discover 10M band openings, the NSRC has operated a propagation beacon on 28.297 MHz since 2001. It is located at the Heller Nature Center in Highland Park, IL about 27 miles north of downtown Chicago. The beacon was built from a Radio Shack HTX-100 running 5 watts to a Cushcraft AR-10 half wave vertical. CW message keying is performed by an Ultimate PicoKeyer. The 10M band is open a lot more than you may think, even during periods of low sunspot activity, so be sure to check the beacon portion of the band between 28.200 and 28.300 regularly, you may be pleasantly surprised with what you hear. Reception reports on our beacon are always welcome and over the years we have received them from over 30 countries and every continent except Antarctica. Glenn Hauser logs June 5-6, 2022 |

Monday, June 06 2022
![Logs](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/logs.gif) ** CUBA. 13740, June 6 at 0358, RHC in Spanish S9+10 just before cutting off at 0359* like MWV on 13760. EiBi agrees -0400* while Aoki says -0500*. Sometimes it`s on much later accidentally in English (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 11760, June 6 at 1502, RHC Spanish S7/S9 but suptorted = suppressed and distorted modulation; only // 15140 is S9/+5 and merely undermodulated. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MADAGASCAR. 13760, June 6 at 0358 song in English, VG until cut off at 0359*. Another station which does not feel obliged to ID at start and finish of each broadcast! Scheduled is MWV, but confusing contradixions about programming. EiBi says it`s African Pathways Radio, to S Asia. But why would they be doing that, rather than KNLS English hour which is Asian-orientated? HFCC agrees it`s on 40 degree beam for CIRAFs 41 & 42S = S Asia, altho bigsig here implies it`s really aimed thisaway across Africa. Aoki does not decide, just English from WCB; and BTW, V of Korea [North] is also listed on 13760 at 03-04 in Spanish. Bulgarian DX Blog for A22 shows 03-04 on 13760 as KNLS English at 40 degrees from MWV; while English from APR follows at 04-05 on 11825, also well heard here. It`s also quite possible that Mahajanga mix up its azimuths and programming (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 27184.4, June 5 at 2214, S9+26 carrier with tone locally jamming the CB calling channel. 27185.6 & 27184.5, June 6 at 0354, S9+10 carrier with tone on local groundwave, not clear which is carrier and which is tone. Zero-beating one or the other, one hears silence on USB or LSB. 27185, June 6 at 1507, frequency finally clear except for JBA carriers. No sporadic E skip now on CB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, June 6 at 0500-0506, UR1 via WRMI, `Ukraine: Security Issue` for June 5 = day 102 of Russia`s war, by YL anchor; including: renewed missile strikes on Kyiv; French Pres. Macron criticized for saying that Putin should not be humiliated. Good via Maryland SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2141 monitoring: confirmed Sunday June 5 at 2007 the 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz, S9 but stormy into nearby Noale SDR. Also confirmed Sunday June 5 at 2230 on WRMI 5950, S9+5 into Knoxville SDR. Still running tho replaced on schedule. Also confirmed, UT Monday June 6 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/S9 into Knoxville SDR. Cheers from DX-less Encinitas`` One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. (7490v), Sunday June 5 at 2300, WBCQ webcast with music fill instead of Harry Shearer`s `Le Show`, as I continue listening after `UBMP` with Roma music. Eventually just dead air, presumably also on 7490 broadcast. 2323 fires WBCQ legal ID, more DA; 2327 finally start `Le Show` opening; so will it run past 2400? No, cut to ID and `Voice of Revival`. Something`s mixed up at Monticello (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 15770, Monday June 6 at 1954-2000, WRMI successfully completes relay of VOA`s `Flashpoint: Ukraine`, S6/S7 via Maryland SDR. Quick check of 15770 yesterday Sunday June 5 sometime during the 19-20 hour heard the ``British Israel`` gospel huxter show not scheduled (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 7890, June 6 at 0606, JBA carrier; and 11825, JBA vs HSNL = high storm noise level, locally, enough to tell that 3945 harmonix are still emitted. Some also hear it on X4 = 15780. How about X5? That would be 19725 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2314 UT June 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
