EDXC: DX online meetings in February |

We
hope that you are keeping well and safe during these challenging
times.
We
will hold the second EDXC online meeting in March, the date and
time will be confirmed in a couple of weeks.
In
the meanwhile, there are two upcoming meetings from our DX
friends in India and the USA. You can join them online.
UNESCO
World Radio Day’s
theme this year is New World, New Radio, Evolution, Innovation
and Connection. To expand, this means radio’s resilience and
sustainability, innovation and adaptability to new technologies
and radio’s role in society, for example in natural disasters,
socio-economic crises, epidemics, etc. Radio stations and
organisations around the world will be broadcasting special
programmes.

On
UNESCO World Radio Day,
Saturday February 13, the Indian DX Club International will
celebrate with a virtual meeting and webinar.

Friday 26th
and Saturday 27th February sees the 34th Annual Winter SWL
Festival (USA). Online this year using Zoom. There will be a
modest registration fee of US$ 5.00 to cover costs.

USA 5829.986 odd fq WTWW poor S=4-5 in western EUR, fluttery at 06.20 UT LIBERIA 6049.975 kHz Tentativelly Radio ELWA Liberia, at 06.26 UT Feb 9 JBA threshold level, poor and tiny -112dBm !
MEXICO 6184.973 Radio Educación Mexico D.F. only JBA like 5830v WTWW level. 06.29 UT on Febr 9.
SAO TOME 6080.027 Voice of America, English from Pinheira, S=9+10dB here in southern Germany at 06.32 UT.
CUBA at 06.35 UT on Febr 9: 6060even RHC Bauta in Spanish (!), Europe only JBA threshold signal, is not favorite azimuth these days. S=9+20dB on WA west US coast state.
But also RHC English at 06.38 UT on 5040even kHz, S=9 in WeEurope, and S=9+20dB western Pacific coast line signal at K7LD in WA state.
6000even Quivican on even this morning, S=9+10dB signal. 6100even RHC Bauta transmission in En, S=7 in western EUR, S=9+30dB inWA state at 06.40 UT on Febr 9.
