** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Tuesday Oct 20 at 1417, LRA36 ID with
96.7 FM in passing amid history of station, starting on 6030, 41 years
ago, remember? S5-S8 into Brazil SDR. 1418 a guitar song. I can`t keep
listening now, so at 1426 I hit Record on a Kiwi for the first time,
but checked later it had timed out after 30 minutes, and where did the
recording go? How do you find it once initiated, to play back? Manuel
Mendez heard the whole special anniversary program from *1305 to 1613*
direct to Spain. Is this in addition to, or instead of, ir/regular
Wednesday broadcast? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 4765, Oct 21 at 0058, no signal from R. Progreso. Something`s
always wrong at RadioCuba, but clearing the way for PERU, q.v. (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 7365 & 7335 & 6030 & 5980, Oct 21 at 0143, JBA
signals from presumed Radio Martí, nor is there any jamming audible.
Yet RHC manages S9 on 6000 & 6145 English. Nor can I detect any OCB
DRM on 7340-7345-7350. It`s almost if the multi-decade Cuban Radio War
be over. Or, propagation? K-index climbing from 1 to 3 between 00 and
03 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7254.9, Oct 20 at 0618, VON is on again! S9/+10 and
overmodulated (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PERU. 4764, Oct 21 at 0058, JBA carrier from presumed Radio Huanta
2000, with 4765 cleared by absent CUBA. Also JBA signal on 4775v, no
doubt the other OA, Radio Tarma. Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec also reports
RH2K on the WOR iogroup, tonight at 2337 Oct 20: ``Hello, R. Huanta
Dos Mil is on 4764 kHz now, poor and fady. Lúcio, Brasil`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 17775-, Oct 20 at 1410, zero signal from KVOH if on.
If KVOH do make it to Caribbean, South America, these should squeeze:

17770, instead, its adjacent bears an S3-S6 signal in weak talk;
listed as Arabic hour of Voice of TURKEY; and:

17780, its other adjacent is a JBA carrier, listed as BBC Hausa hour
weekdays via ASCENSION (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Oct 21 at 0115, WRNO is on at S9/+10 with screaming
gospel songstress and distorted modulation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Hauser
** BRAZIL. 6165-6195, Oct 20 at 0235, RNA is overmodulated, distorted
and splattering over 30 kHz range surrounding 6180, especially QRMing
6185- MEXICO which is relatively weak and undermodulated for starters.
On a good day, however, 6180 does not QRM it. // 11780 if on is but a
JBA carrier now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Oct 20 at 0230, R. Rebelde is S9+20 but music suptorted
= suppressed modulation and also distorted. Something`s always wrong
at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN [non]. 6105, Oct 20 at 0252, NHK Warudo Radio Japan with
`Clair de Lune` [Koreru de Runo?] on piano, very nice classical music
among their diversity in Japanese to America, where I understand
English is the primary language which they canceled years ago; VG
signal but slightly distorted, via FRANCE, and destined to prolong
into B-20 at 0200-0400. 0300 chime timesignal and news (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2056 monitoring: confirmed UT Tuesday October
20 at 0100 on WRMI 7780, S9+10 into UTwente but JBA carrier here at
0118 check: so back to normal. Broke down on Oct 17, but Richard
Langley found WRMI-1 back on air Oct 19 at 1955.

Also confirmed UT Tue Oct 20 at 0330 on WRMI 5800, S9+15 to Bonaire
SDR and also good to here. Next:

2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
2200 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE [NEW]
0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE

** U S A. 9385, Oct 20 at 0237, again no signal from WEWN English,
while 5970 Spanish is OK. The WRMIs 9395, 9455 and 9955 are very weak
now, so maybe propagation, but 9330 WBCQ is blasting in WLCR and
splashing considerably around (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Oct 20 at 0239, WRNO is JBA rather than VG as it can
be and has been: so propagation or operation? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. I`m trying out the temporary until Oct 25 KiwiSDR
that Bill Whitacre has set up in Lubec, which is on the coast in the
SE corner of Maine, a hot spot for trans-Atlantic MW DX. There is *too
much*, audio almost every 9 kHz; where are the JBA carriers I can
sweep across in only 5 minutes? Contrary to KiwiSDR boilerplate, this
one does not work on Firefox, but does work on IE. I find it already
set up at 9 kHz intervals, which can be toggled to 10; but above 1600
it switches to 5-kHz steps, strange. I`m not counting countries from
here or anywhere, so some assumptions without consequences follow, but
open to revision. LSS at Lubec today: 2135 UT, so the DX should have
been in a lot earlier. This is off-and-on for less than a sesquihour,
Oct 19 from 2103, in chrono order, reference WRTH listings, u.o.s.:

1521, at 2103 the first thing I check for is the 2-megawatt Riyadh
program via Duba, NW corner of SAUDI ARABIA, and there it is in
Arabic, S5-S7. Now closes circa 2230, so tough to get into deep North
America; when it ran all-night, at least a het against 1520 KOKC was
common. But at midwinter I even had it, I think, around local noon, as
reported at that time.

1512, at 2118, Arabic from the other SAUDI ARABIA, only one megawatt
from Jeddah, Qur`an program via Khumra site, somewhat east of Mecca.

1503, at 2119, Castilian; 2130 characteristic half-hour time signal
from SPAIN and RNE ID: Radio 5 has only two outlets, 5 and 2 kW.

1467, at 2131, ME music and Arabic, S9+5, presumably TWR Monaco via
megawatt Roumoules, FRANCE, but no language details in WRTH. A 50 kW
Sa`udi is also on 1467.

1450, at 2131, as I am tuning past 1449, can`t miss an ID for ``CFAB
1450 AM`` which is U1 1/1 kW Windsor, Nova Scotia, in the centre
between Dartmouth and Wolfville, CANADA.

1413, at 2132, Castilian: RNE Radio 5, SPAIN, has 3 outlets, 5, 10, 20
kW.

1377, at 2133, intriguing low-audible-het between weak carriers. Major
signal should be the megawatt TWR in ARMENIA at .0002. Only likely
offals are two 50 kW from IRAN on .914 and .97, mwoffsets

1314, at 2135, Castilian among the CCI: again from SPAIN, three of RNE
Radio 5 at 20, 10 and 10 kW.

1305, at 2136, good signal in Castilian: SPAIN, four x RNE Radio 5 of
20, 20, 10 and 25 kW. I often have JBA carrier(s) here direct.

531 // 549, at 2139, pop music, no doubt JIL FM, ALGERIA. 600 kW each,
common carriers over here.

1530, at 2157, I`m standing by to hear even a trace of Yankee Doodle,
from the VOA Pinheira, SAO TOME 2200 sign-off, as often recommended by
Mark Connelly, but no luck. However, a jumble of weak signals is
suddenly eclipsed by one station from *2159, ID as WVBF and on FM
99.7, AC (780) phone fits for Boston-suburban area ring as this is
from Middleborough Center, Massachusetts; and into reading anti-Trump
editorial from Bloomberg News. The trouble is, 2200 UT is FCC October
local sunset for WVBF [November: 2130] when it is supposed to drop
from 940 watts ND critical hours to FOUR WATTS NIGHT power. Day power
is 5 kW, both direxional broadly toward the northeast, i.e. Lubec.
Instead they have powered *up*! Anyhow, seems like an interesting
station, per NRC AM Log, ``Hometown Talk Radio``, address in Taunton
MA.

1530, at 2200, also has a 6-pip timesignal, very unlikely from any
North American station; probably one of two 15-kW from ROMANIA,
otherwise 3 kW from MADEIRA. In fact at 2219 recheck, Romanian
conversation, not Portuguese.

1188, at 2220, strumming at S7, ``Payam`` ID in passing, i.e. 300 kW
from Tehran, IRAN; and not the only other possibility, 400 kW Hungary

1179, at 2224, Castilian announcement, thought they mentioned ``Cadena
EFE``, but listed as Cadena SER, two in Iberia, one in Canarias. SER
could have been referring to the related? news agency EFE. Also
another language mixing, probably ROMANIA, 400 kW.

1458, at 2223, song, maybe ROMANIA, 100 kW strongest on frequency.
Both Actualitatsi program but unseem //,

If one had the time, one could employ this device for more challenging
DX, even in Lubec terms, let alone deep North America, from further
into AfroAsia. OTOH, one could do the same via numerous less temporary
SDRs in Eurafrica. OTOOH, Bill will probably activate it again
sometimes. Anyhow it`s notable how much MWDX can easily make it into
our Atlantic Northeast (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VENEZUELA. 6905.80?-RCUSB, Oct 20 at 0328, LV del Tigre relay by
ROCV has considerable reduced carrier by offtuning, but hardly any
modulation; frequency seems to have varied slightly as I try to
pinpoint it. Enough carrier to register at TWR Bonaire KiwiSDR in SAM
mode with carrier offset displaying -44v Hz from 6906.00, = 6905.956
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA [and non]. 362-MCW kHz, Oct 19 at 0611 UT, dash and SB, 500
watt NDB at Greater Sudbury, Ont. I was tuned to 363-USB; yes, on the
plus side, and simulhearing AA which is really on 365-MCW, 100 watts
from Fargo - Harwood, North Dakota (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer search, Oct 19 at 1357: quick WOOB scan gets
only 13150 JBA carrier and 10920 S1-S2 Chinese with flutter until
timesignal and 1400* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA? 4940, Oct 19 at 0331, anonymous mystery missionary
station, tropical music at S7-S9, AMS carrier offset -5v Hz to Bonaire
SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6080-6115, Oct 19 at 0550, RHC English, music distorted and
splattering over this range from S9+30/40 overmodulated 6100. QRMs
even whatever be on 6115, Congo or Japan. Something`s always wrong at
RHC.

6130-6155, Oct 19 at 0552, RHC also overmod/distorted and splattering
out of 6145. Austria USB barely escapes. Something`s always wrong at
RHC.

Other // 6000, Oct 19 at 0553, is S9+20 but JBM and not a splatter
problem. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 7435 // 7335, Oct 19 at 0545, Radio Martí is back on
the air after 0400* when it was curtailed months ago, both S9+30/40
and no jamming audible; at 0551 also on 6030 S9+30 over jamming. But
not 5980: see USA: WWCR. It seems OCB is getting a head start on B-20
registrations; I have pared down HFCC data to the essential parts:

Note that the tri-frequency 04-06 extension I discovered is effective
only until 5 December; why? Also, 5980 in the eves, originally
separate TV Martí audio, is again replaced by 6125, where the jamming
may also expand past 0400 vs Turkey resuming (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EUROPE. [ITALY?] 6170-USB, Oct 18, Checked at 2240 via UTwente,
nothing on 6170-USB or otherwise -- except clanking sounds out of the
strong AM music on 6175, which would be CRI Portuguese default via
Xi`an if not Albania. Checking for this as told to Manuel Mendez:

``De: "Marconi Radio" <marconiradiointernational@gmail.com>
Enviado: 18/10/2020 16:15:29
Asunto: Marconi Radio International on the air today, 18 October 2020,
at 2200-2300 UTC, on 6170 kHz USB
Marconi Radio International (MRI).``

No one else reported it, except Harold Frodge had something starting
at 2200 ``but totally buried in the QRN``. Later MRI told MM they
would be on air until 0605, but unchecked here further as I did not
see that until next day. FWIW, Mike Terry and Manuel Méndez got this
notice from MRI on Oct 19:

``Please be advised that Marconi Radio International (MRI) will be on
the air this week with test transmissions on 20, 23, 24 and 25 October
2020, as follows: 0500-0600 UT. The frequency is 6170 kHz (USB mode).
Reception reports (verified by eQSL) to this E-mail address:
marconiradiointernational (at) gmail.com Some lucky listeners will
also receive our printed QSL card. Please don't forget to include your
postal/street address, too!``

That would be immediately following VOA Zimbabwe service via São Tomé
on 6170 until 0500 M-F (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7254.9v, Oct 19 at 0640, no signal from VON (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** PERU. 4764.034, Oct 19 at 0021, JBA carrier here before Cuba comes
on 4765. Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec, Brasil, has been reporting R. Huanta
2000 on 4764, ex 4747v, as IDed by Rafael Rodríguez. A few minutes
earlier I was seeking it via several SDRs, in Brasil, Chile,
Argentina, Bonaire but none of them got any more than a JBA carrier
either. At 0049 with R. Progreso on 4765, I could barely detect a JBA
het on its minus. Why in the world would RH2K move from a clear
frequency to collide with Cuba? Maybe out of control, but has lasted
for several days (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 7320-7325-7330, Oct 19 at 0546, DRM noise, which is RRI
English via Tsiganeshti, 90 kW, 307 degrees to W Europe, but also
USward (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 407-MCW kHz, Oct 19 at 0606 UT, ND beacon IL which is 25
watts from wILmington, Ohio, between Cincinnati and Columbus. I was
tuned to 405-USB. There are also two other ILs in other wILmingtons,
DE and NC, on other frequencies, and another in kILeen, Texas (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2056 monitoring: confirmed UT
Monday October 19 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG S9+10 at 0050 check.

NOT confirmed on any WRMI 7780 broadcast, UT Mon Oct 19 at 0130 or
0230, as this transmitter is still off the air. Bob Biermann of WRMI
explained, ``Transmitter 1 is the oldest unit operating at WRMI. It is
probably close to 60 years of age and originally was in the site up in
Massachusetts. It is a Gates unit, so repairs may not be easy, and
don’t expect anyone outside of “World’s Last Chance” to be buying a
new transmitter anytime soon.`` Nothing about this on WRMI FB, its
preferred method of listener contact.

Richard Langley, NB: ``This is the same transmitter (#1) that was
damaged in August and repaired. At that time, WRMI switched all
programming on 7780 kHz over to 15770 kHz. That hasn't happened this
time -- yet.`` Lack of 7780 really impacts WOR airings, of which six
have been scheduled weekly, first noted gone Saturday October 17 at
2300. WOR confirmed anyway via WRN webcast at 0130 UT Mon Oct 19.

WOR 2056 still confirmed UT Mon Oct 19 at 0230 on WRMI 5800, S9+30 to
Virginia SDR.

Also confirmed UT Mon Oct 19 from 0300.5 on Area 61, 6159.915v, S9+25
to Virginia SDR; checked earlier at 0236 during Johnny Lightning,
surprised to find WBCQ 6159.924+ Good S9 into UTwente, better than any
Classic WBCQ normally achieves thataway opposite, but faded way down
by 0330.

WOR 2056 also confirmed at 0330 UT Mon Oct 19 on WRMI 9955, S7-S8 into
TWR Bonaire SDR. Next:

Also confirmed from 1801:40 on IRRS 7290 via Bulgaria, S9+15 to
UTwente SDR. Lead-in: 1755 carrier already on; 1758:50 JIP Feature
Story News [never the same thing from one week to next]; 1759:50
USFS/Ad Council PSA by Jeff Foxworthy for Smokey Bear about dousing
campfires, etc. 1800:50 IRRS addresses including Milano PO Box.
1801:13 FSN headlines; 1801:40 finally WOR. VG except for perpetual
splatter from 7280/7300 stations which cannot be avoided by narrowing
bandwidth. WOR seems intact at various spotchex onwards. But started
late so I am apprehensive: justifiably, since faded me out before
propagation info finished, losing the last 30 seconds! 1830:10 IRRS
ID, 1830:45 FSN. Next:

0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE [off?]
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 5800 to SSE
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
2200 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE [NEW]

** U S A [and non]. 5980, Oct 19 at 0556, checking for R. Marti
extension here [see CUBA [non]], there is some weak audio under
jamming but not RM; soon recognize it as both TOMBS and University
Network! So it`s a leapfrog mixing product of WWCR 5890 over 5935,
both very strong, another 45 kHz higher. Maybe in B-20, 5980 will
become open again for R. Chaski, PERU earlier until 00* or 01*. WWCR
is not registered to start 5890 until *02, or after DST, *03. However
Cuban jamming against no RM will probably lag, prolonged (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VENEZUELA. 6906.3v-CUSB, Oct 19 at 0332, presumed ROCV = LV del
Tigre relay is only JBA S3 into Bonaire SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ARMENIA. 7500, Oct 18 at *1657.6, carrier on from Gavar site, for
five hours of publicized specials, S9+35/40 into UTwente SDR; 1659
open German announcement for first hour, from RAE marking anniversary
of that service from Argentina; at 1702 I notice bad audio distortion;
by 1725 it`s OK and S9+50.

At 1800 still VG into English for tribute to CAE, Canadian Forces
station in Germany: I`m sure this is all significant and nostalgic to
the parties involved, but too much else going on now for me to
dedicate 4 or 5 hours of my attention (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 223-MCW kHz, Oct 18 at 0625 UT, dash and YYW, 1000-watt ND
beacon at Armstrong, Ontario. Tuned to 222-USB.

290-MCW kHz, Oct 18 at 0629 UT, dash and QR, 100-watt NDB at Regina,
Saskatchewan. Tuned to 289-USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) See USA also

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, Oct 18 at 1339-1349, not in the order
tuned, JBA carriers, u.o.s.: 13835, 13130, 12550, 12190 JBA, 11440;
11410 Chinese conversation, S4-S6, flutter, unusual frequency but in
Aoki vs SOH like most of the others; 11170 Chinese, 11150; 11120 &
11100 Chinese; 10960 Chinese S5-S7; 9300 JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 7340-7345-7350, Oct 18 at 1707, no Radio Marti DRM
signal to be heard at Key West TWR SDR, but jamming against nothing.
Schedule was 17-02 UT, and also was missing before 0200 last night.
Problem or canceled? Monitor further (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U A E. 17745v, Oct 18 at 1421, JBA carrier is wobbling. Aoki/NDXC
shows it`s BBC in Somali this hour only except Saturdays expanded to
10-16 UT. Site well known for unstable frequencies (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 408-MCW kHz, Oct 18 at 0643 UT, JDM, 25-watt NDB at Colby -
Wheatfield, Kansas. One wonders how a call with no connexion to the
listed location came about? So I try searching on JDM Colby, finding
``Colby Howard Lands at JD Motorsports For Majority of 2020 ``
about NASCAR - that`s a stretch! Further down are linx to JDM as
NAVAID, but no call significance. Even further down, there is a JDM
Enterprises, LLC, in Colby among 55 other places:
https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ks/8804627
but what does it do? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Oct 18 from 0544,
a little earlier than usual so more of them showing up: 531, 549, 558,
567, 576(2), 585*, 612(2), 621(2), 639, 657, 684, 693(2), 711, 738,
747, 774(2), 783, 801, 837, 846(2!), 882*, 891, 909, 936(2), 954, 999,
1044, 1053, 1089, 1098(2), 1107(2), 1116, 1125(2), 1134, 1152(2),
1215(2), 1269, 1287, 1305(2), 1413, 1458, 1584; 1710(2-domestic). (2)
= at least two carriers beating, at widely varying pitches/rates. If I
had the time, could count them and compare to possible sources at
mwoffsets. *strongest. Sometime I may also make educated guesses about
each carrier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, continuing LRA36 log from last report,
Sat Oct 17 via Brasil SDR: signal improving, mostly music past 1843,
but off by 1915 recheck. Remember, next broadcast is supposed to be
Tuesday for anniversary, not Wednesday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BOLIVIA [and non]. 3310, Oct 18 at 0106, JBA talk maybe in Quechua,
presumed Radio Mosoj Chaski, known to be active as only CP on 90m.

Signal is fading S4-S6, so not the local mix between KGWA and KCRC
which used to block it, 2 x 960 plus 1390 = 3310. These two have
surprisingly cleaned up from years past their harmonix and
intermodulations, not much on 2880 or 4170, still some 2780 (Glenn
Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5122.5 approx., Oct 18 at 0042, spurblob I suspect out of
5040 RHC as previously logged, at 2 x 41+ kHz interval, while if any
around 5081 it`s blocked by 5085 WTWW sideband. First-order-minus
would be just below 5000 WWV but not detected there; however,
second-order-minus finds something about 4957.5 JBA with telltale F#
tone. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 4782.5 approx., Oct 18 at 0042, distorted spurblob
with enough music mod to make it // 4765 Radio Progreso. Then I look
for a minus-match and find approx. 4748.5 vs CODAR; but these are not
equally apart. Rather diffuse as I try to guesstimate their centers,
so make them about 4782 and 4748. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba.

BTW, Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec in Brasil has been hearing Radio Huanta
Dos Mil, Perú on 4764 before Cuba starts by 0030. I`ve yet to catch
it; Aoki shows 0100*, EiBi 0200*, also *1047-1330, while Aoki shows
*1100 straight thru on original 4747; EiBi on 4747.6 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, Oct 18 at 0053, RHC English is S9+35 but suptorted,
JBM, unlike // 6145. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 7340-7345-7350, Oct 18 at 0055, Radio Martí DRM is missing,
just the jamming, while the bookend AM frequencies inboom above their
jammings on 7365 & 7335. DRM supposed to run until 0200. Subject is
advice to Cubans about CV-19 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6945-USB, Oct 18 at 0032, soft rock music S9+20 from
some pirate, a frequency usually avoided due to ute circa 6942-3, but
not now, so no problem. 0038 quick Wolverine Radio ID. Lots of logs
here including playlist of ``Road`` songs:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,73018.0.html
The one I heard must have been ``Long Promised Road`` by the Beach
Boys. Mr W must put a lot of work into his thematic shows (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. RF 13, KETA 13 via Suddenlink cable in Enid has continued
defective sound of mono only, but during PBS `Nature` about cats, Oct
17 at 1939 UT, it suddenly blossoms into $ tereo! But for only two
minutes, 1941 back to mono also with a slight video glitch as if
deliberately switching source inputs. Shux (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. October 18 circa 0125 UT, further exploration of where to
find KAUT OKC in ATSC 1.0: on the rabbit-ears thru STB set, no 43-1;
but 43-2 CourtTV and 43-3 Escape/Mystery are on RF 24, which is KOKH
Fox ``25``! But 43-4 Cozi is on RF 33, which is KOKH`s sibling station
KOCB ``34``. Back on the broken roof level antenna thru a different
STB at 0310: the same for those three, but 43-1 KAUT is coming from RF
27 which is KFOR. What a jumble as repacking and ATSC 3.0 transition
proceeds (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U S A. 341-MCW kHz, Oct 18 at 0112 UT, ND beacon DIN, underneath
local EI Enid. DIN is 25 watts from Sherman-DenIsoN, Texas, just
across in Baja Oclajoma. Normally I hear OIN in Oberlin, Kansas,
instead. This is on different receiver and antenna than on my ~06 UT
beacon searches so maybe that explain it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2056 monitoring: Sat Oct 17 at 1945
midpoint, so started circa 1931 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville, MO,
good S9+10 via nearby Warrenton SDR.

NOT confirmed next broadcast, Sat Oct 17 at 2300 on WRMI 7780, because
it is OFF the air - no signal into Maine or UTwente. Still off at 0000
Oct 18 and at 0300: must be serious problem.

Also confirmed UT Sun Oct 18 at 0333 midpoint, on WA0RCR, 1860 AM,
Gateway 160 Newsletter, via Warrenton SDR S9+10, ending at 0347:50 so
started circa 0319. Next:

** U S A. 5850, UT Sun Oct 18 at 0100-0200, WRMI with `Encore`
classical music hour, always very enjoyable and so strong on this
airing that the PL-880 portable with telescopic is plenty to hear it
clearly. Does fade a bit toward the end (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5085, UT Sun Oct 18 at 0037, WTWW-2 with `TOUTA` underway,
S9+40/50 but distorted, so no listening without a webcast handy. With
BFO I also notice a slight wobble in the carrier frequency, bad
symptom (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5056.85 & 5043.15 approx., Oct 18 at 0040, matching weak
spurblobs out of 5050 WWRB again vs splash from the center (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9385, Oct 18 at 0103, no signal from WEWN English, while
Spanish remains on 5970 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Oct 18 at 0105, WRNO has just come on at S9+35 but
undermodulating its screaming gospel huxter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7766.5-USB, Oct 18 at 0058, 2- or multi-way contacts; I
always have trouble understanding their rapid and colloquial Spanish,
but think I heard ``viene la caravana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
