WORLD OF RADIO HITLIST update:
Hi Glenn, My latest Hitlist update. https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm 1) Updated UTC offset notations for DST changes for Cuba (Progreso, Rebelde), USA (Marti, WRMI, VOA) 2) Israel - KAN(REKA): Updated all links to the KAN/REKA website. (Thanks to Daniel Rosenzweig for the updated info) 3) Norway - R Northern Star: New entry - added links to home page and facebook page. The next update is scheduled for early December. Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe ** CUBA. 5040, Nov 6 at 0642, RHC is still on in English with jazz show, distorted S9+10/20 direct, so blots Vanuatu if still there until 0659. Also still on: 6060 and 6100 both S9/+10, but not 6165 or 6000. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15230, Nov 6 at 1536, S9+10 of dead air from RHC, same reading as 15140 with some music modulation, vs full mod on 13700 also still on at S9+10, plus its FMish spurblobs approx. 13634 and 13766 at S2/S3 with some mxmod audible too; but not on 2 x 64 displacements plus/minus 128 circa 13572, 13828. Into Maryland remote at 1600, ID claims to continue on 15140 & 11760 [only] + FMs. As a good little running dog of Yanqui Imperialism, Cuba has also switched from EDT to EST. Instead of 1500, at 1601 opens weekly Sunday Esperanto with same wrong sked as always, 0800 on 6100; 1600 on 11760 only, 2230? on 15730. By 1604, 15230 is still on and becoming JB modulated in Esp`o; but Maryland is not getting the spurs. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Nov 6 at 0644, no JBA carrier direct from R. Kiribati, presumed axually a silent Sunday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ROMANIA. 11705 DRM noise, UT Sun Nov 6 at 0455, presumed RRI at end of 0400 English broadcast to Asia; into UTwente SDR, but nothing on listed 11790 AM or DRM. Had been listening on AM to N America frequencies, 6020 & 7410, VG with `Listeners Letterbox` 0442-0452. Included recitation of new B22 English sked. I wasn`t paying close attention, but some frequencies seemed ``wrong`` compared to HFCC info I`ve already quoted: http://www.hfcc.org/data/schedbybrc.php?seas=B22&broadc=RRO Own English fq sked does not match exactly HFCC registrations: https://www.rri.ro/en_gb/frecvente-259 And trying to reach program skeds, not only English but Spanish, diverted by an ``internal error`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2163 monitoring: confirmed UT Sunday Nov 6 starting 50 minutes late at 0405 UT on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+22 into nearby SDR. From next week, nominal time will be 0415 UT. Next: 2100 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW 0130 UT Monday WRMI 5950 to NNW 0400vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW 0130 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba] 0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html A noncommercial service for which financial support is appreciated. Thanks this week for a generous check from Mike Cooper, Georgia, ``in appreciation of your continued activities``, to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702. One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1150 kHz, Sunday November 6 at 0644-0708 UT, I`m tuning direct for the KSEN Shelby MT DX test scheduled for 0600-0800. 1150 is dominated at night here by KSAL Salina KS with a tight direxional lobe thisaway: https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KSAL&service=AM&h=N On the altazimuth wrist-mounted DX-398, at first I`m hearing echoey talk show between two YLs, so KSAL with Coast to Coast, see separate log, and what else? NRC AM Log shows the other C2Cs are: WJBO LA, KRMS MO, WIMA OH, KAGO OR, KQQQ WA, WHBY WI, CKFR BC --- surely one of the first two, closer to here. At 0650, continuous tone looping NW/SE, so that`s got to be KSEN. 0655 tone on the R75 with E/W longwire. 0704 Morse on the DX-398, too weak to copy; 0706 & 0708 Morse on the R75. Anyhow I heard and QSLed KSEN a biyear ago as exhibited in my previous report (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1150, Nov 6 at 0655 UT, `Coast to Coast` with guest host Connie Willis, also resuming at 0706; while I`m really trying for the KSEN MT DX test, see seprate log. At 0702-0703 UT approx., I can`t help but notice dead air during a net newscast from KSAL KS, which had just IDed before 0700, and a second one, presumably commercial holes. Is no one paying attention in Salina? Of course not! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 10080, Nov 6 at 0654, no signal from R. Vanuatu on 2 x 5040, fundamental now blocked by RHC. Ron Howard confirms he heard no 10080 previously on Nov 4. As for Nov 6, Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec in Brasil confirms 5040 until 0659, then 3945 harmonix on 7890, 11835 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1955 UT November 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

DX/SWL/Media Programs http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
WORLD OF RADIO Schedules: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html ALAN ROE`S HITLIST: https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Sat Nov 5 at 1454, song is on, into Uruguay SDR as I`ve been seeking LRA36 since 1445, but the best Argentine SDR is offline, and all others there or in Brasil are either offline, busy, or zero reception. Uruguay has annoying local noise level but will have to suffice. 1459.5 standard canned sign-on; 1501 themesong; 1504.5 recitation; 1506 song; 1510 YLs introducing 29th programa of season, so confirmed as repeat of Wednesday Nov 2, see my already report. 1525 ID with frequencies, ``Nacional, la radio pública``. Etc., etc. past 1600; 1605 ID and apparently off. Anyhow back to ``normal`` USB mode and off-frequency after foray to LSB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 5025, Nov 5 at 0620, R. Rebelde ID, humbuzzz and distorted, S9+10. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 880, R. Progreso: see USA [and non] KJJR DX test log ** CUBA. All RHC frequencies are OFF already, Nov 5 at 0628. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Nov 5 at 0644, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati; and no other 9/kHz splits in cursory check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MALI. 5995, Nov 5 at 0627, ORTM is still off, all month (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. 7255-, Nov 5 at 0630, no signal from VON. Some editors tend to dispense with such non-logs, but I think stations` absences are just as significant if not more so, than their presences (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2163 monitoring: confirmed UT Saturday November 5 at 0130 on WRMIs: 5850 VG direct, S9+12/27 into Missouri SDR. // 15770 is VP S5/6. Until I reach the KFS SE antenna, S7/S9 but with ACI from Chinese on 15775, while 5850 remains much better, S9+10/22. Also confirmed UT Saturday November 5 at 0400 on WBCQ Radio Angela, 5130 minus 24 Hz = 5129.976, S8/9+10 into Maryland SDR. Not confirmed Sat Nov 5 at 1600 on WRN North America webcast but some other program; must have latened all broadcasts by one hour last Sunday as if we were in Europe. Confirmed at 1700 UT now. WRN program skeds are still for A-22! Assuming all have shifted one UT hour later than shown, some WOR times have been deleted, e.g. no longer at 0130/0230 UT Sun/Mon. All the times now match up to the three different target areas: Sat 1700, Sat & Sun 2100, Sun 1330. Missed checking the Sat Nov 5 at 1930v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, as I was engrossed in updating --- WOR skeds, and DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS. This occupied most of my afternoon. Confirmed UT Sunday Nov 6 at 0030 on WRMI 7780. Checked first on Argentine SDR I still have linked for Antarctica this morning, and pleased to find WOR JBA down there way offbeam. Unfortunately, not much better on nearer SDRs in GA, MD, TX. Next: 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] [some non-DST changes start here] 2100 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 880, Sat Nov 5 at 0603 UT, tuning for the KJJR Whitefish MT DX test: starting on the DX-398 with altazimuth wrist mount: first hearing Spanish music looping NW/SE, surely R. Progreso, Pinar del Rio, CUBA, rather than the only US SS possibility, KJOZ Conroe TX. That makes a 1.0 Hz SAH with dominant KRVN Nebraska unless nulled. At 0604 sweep tones in the mix, so that has to be KJJR. On the R75 with E/W longwire it`s a different situation: KRVN with a 4.0 Hz SAH from something else. I listen mostly on the DX-398: 0609 Morse code; 0611 sweeps; 0612 romantic music in Spanish peaks again; 0614 prolonged tone; 0617 VVV ... JJR in code; 0618 on R75 code also underaudible. KJJR has DX tested before: see my log of Jan 8 at: https://www.w4uvh.net/ghlogs_2022_0106_0112.txt I did not get a QSL for that but for its sibling station KSEN 1150: https://www.w4uvh.net/KSEN1150DXghQSL.pdf from a test before that on Nov 8, 2020, which this year is testiing 24 hours later on UT Sunday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 5040, Nov 5 at 0619, in absence of RHC, JBA carrier, again reconfirmed by Ron Howard as RV, and switching at 0659 to 3945 + harmonix. Also here, no signal on 7260 at 0630. When last used 5040, IIRC no harmonix heard on 10080 or 15120, but check them (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0137 UT November 6 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
