Hauser
** ANGUILLA [non]. 13845, May 28 at 2021, tuning across WWCR when PMS
is remarking, ``people of God don`t need to be walking around rubbing
their nipples``; you see, she ``has a different mindset`` than DGS.
Got it! Then mox other gospel huxters who need $ 30,000 commodes -- are
their feces golden? Rather entertaining her audience (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CHINA. May 28 from 1322, I`m surveying wayoutofband CNR1 jammers,
and find a lot more than after 1400 when many of them close:
11190, JBA carrier, only one in the 11 MHz area; but:
13160 JBA Chinese? 13130; 13020 and 12880 both S9-S6 Chinese with
flutter; 12500 JBA carrier; 13530 Chinese S7-S5. All the 12s and 13s
are in Aoki as jammed SOH frequencies, but not 11190, possibly
something else. None heard just below 15 MHz. Wolfgang Bueschel
surveys these via remotes, the latest altho not covering 13 MHz, and
not at the same daypart:
http://www.hard-core-dx.com/article.php?story=20210528231503557
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, May 28 at 0558, RHC should be English but only humbuzz
at S9/+10. A trace of the same sound on 6100 S9+10 otherwise dead air
too. At 0559, 6000 & equally good 6165 re-open English, but whether
they stay on the full hour is problematic. Something`s always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, May 28 at 1320, RHC Spanish is somewhat distorted.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13568, 13634, 13766, all approx., May 28 at 1328, spurblobs
out of S9+10 RHC 13700-AM at ~66 kHz intervals, but no program
modulation and not very strong. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALI. 5995, Friday May 28 at 0557, ORTM is already on at S9+10 and
now good modulation with Qur`an, or maybe Islamic sunrise prayer. 6000
RHC has not cut off yet and splashing beyond 5995 even with LSB tuning
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri May 28 at 2016, once again zero signal from REE
to NAm, off or unpropagable; while 15520 toward ME but off the back
manages S6-S3.

Then at 2212 Fri May 28 during token English, checking via remote in
Maryland, still no trace of 17855; 11940 is adequate and a bit
stronger than 15520, during discussion of `Trans-Baroque` group (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, May 28 at 2217, VOT English puts good S9+30/10 signal
and well modulated into Maryland SDR, `Did You Know That?` segment
about an oil wrestling festival to resume in June, has been going on
since 1361y. Also can hear some storm crashes as picked up in the WDC
area (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2088 monitoring: confirmed UT Fri
May 28 at 0130 first airing on WRMI 5850 to the NW, VG. But NOT on //
7780 since that transmitter is off the air before and after WOR time.
There have been problems with the antenna for it.

Confirmed Fri May 28 at 2030 on IRRS via Italia-AM, 918 kHz, steady
S9+22 via nearby Noale KiwiSDR; but with some local noise buzz. Next:

0130 UT Saturday WRMI 9395 to NNW [suspended until June 12?]

** U S A. (7489.9v), May 29 at 0000-0100, WBCQ `AAAWWW` via webcast
only. A&A conversing entire hour about the usual radical subjects,
Democrats are Commies, Wuhan lab should be destroyed, our current
leaders are idiots, etc., etc. 0032 datestamp as 28th May, YOOL 2021
from Studio 9 in Fla, both 7490 and 6160 on air now. No callers and
only a couple agreeable emails near the end when at 0056 there is
finally some station news: Brother Scare will continue on WBCQ for the
foreseeable future, occupying time on all the transmitters eventually.
6160 has a new program but no further info. 3265 will be ramped up to
24/7 operation. John Carver`s version:

``Tonight's show started on time on 6160 and 7490. An extremely
sexually satisfied Allan in the studio with an embarrassed Angela.
Opening talk about how much Allan and Angela are in love. Then some
talk about Canada and what's wrong with their government and its
inability to get its citizens vaccinated even though the US is sending
them vaccines. High income taxes, high sales tax, gas selling for the
equivalent of six dollars a gallon and they claim they don't have
enough money to accomplish vaccination. Then talk about California not
arresting people for shoplifting. Allan then defends the police
against the socialist, communists who want to defund and dismantle the
police. Then into the origins of Covid. Touched on cancel culture and
tried to wade through what political correctness entails today.

After a brief summation of topics covered at 0034 they launch into
discussion of human trafficking. Then Angela states that she believes
that all of our leaps in technology have come after contact with
aliens which prompts a discussion about UFOs and aliens. Angela is
also afraid that out of fear we will kill all aliens and they'll end
up like the Dodo birds. Then a brief look at our future with no fossil
fuels, electric cars that people won't be able to replace the
batteries on once they die as there will not be enough raw materials
to manufacture new ones and we'll be stuck with a real mess as we try
to safely dispose of the dead batteries.

At 0056 Allan states that he has no intention of ever stopping the
Brother Stair reruns that they air. A couple of emails read at 0057
and into closing prayer at 0059. Allan started to tell us of a new
program coming to 6160 but was cut off at 0100 before he could name
the program. John, Mid-North Indiana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13676 & 13804 approx., May 27 at 0326, FM spurblobs with
really loud tone between F and F# above Cmiddle; out of RHC 13740-AM
S9+20/30 during music. Also much weaker multiples of ~64 kHz further
out: 13867 vs RTTY 13870; 13932, 13995; 13614, 13550, 13486; 13423 vs
CODAR. Unusual to hear this late, but fundamental signal is holding up
very strong.

13562, 13630 S4-S5; 13769, 13837 traces at ~69 kHz intervals out of
same transmitter when it`s fundamentally on 13700-AM in the morning,
1404 UT May 27. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WORLD OF RADIO 2088)

** THAILAND. Wolfgang Bueschel, May 27, also reports VOA Korean
slightly off-frequency within 1 Hz of my measurement: ``12045.004 kHz
at 1334 UT, Udorn Thani Ban Dung VoA Korean at 13-15 UT. 73 wb df5sx``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, May 27 at 2317, poor undermodulated S9/+10 signal,
presumably VOT with another bonus German hour or fraxion, tnx to the
sleepyrators at Emirler where something is always erroneous (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. Re references about ham beacons, not just 10m,
Alan Gale, UK, replies: Hi Glenn, This file is very helpful, it lists
most of the other HF Bands with beacons. There are a few more that
aren't listed, but it's fairly accurate:

Alan`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Hauser
** CANADA. 332-MCW kHz, May 26 at 0618 UT, dash and YFM, 2500-watt NDB
at La Grand 4, Québec, atop my nearby 400-watt IC Wichita KS, and
nothing from the usual dominator, 1000-watt QT in Thunder Bay,
Ontario. LG-4 is a Hydro dam a kilomile north of Montréal,
fishing/outfitter destination.

Does that look familiar? I`ve copied my last log of it from Dec 30 at
0731 UT, just changing the date and time, as I would say exactly the
same things about it now. WG, 248 kHz, WinnipeG is also audible now,
the only other Canadian.

Coördinates for LG4 aerodrome with a gravel runway: 53°45′17″N /
073°40′31″W = N53°45.28' / W73°40.52' (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 28193.1-CW, May 26 at 1840, 17 dits and: VVV DE VE4ARM/B
AMATEUR -- and the rest of the loop uncopied, again today the beacon
at Austin, Manitoba, not only the OBOB but OSOB, by sporadic E. Also
on my other radio at 2043, JBA on the inside ceiling N/S random wire,
not on the inside E/W amplified loop. 1510 km = 938 statute miles
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 12820, May 26 at 1439, S4-S5 Chinese, CNR1 jammer against
Sound of Hope. Again the only one audible within +/- 250 kHz of 13000
and 11000. If I ever get around to surveying before 1400 there may be
more (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. RF 17, May 26 at 1500 UT, After two weeks of black and
silence, K17JN-D Enid is now totally off the air - no signal bar on
the STB. Recheck at 2150, now it`s back to nominal with all five 3ABN
channels (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, May 26 at 2038, no signal here, nor at 2112 via
UTwente from REE NAm frequency; probably off tho K-index is 5. Either
way, it`s a loss. 15520 off the back to ME is JBA here at first while
UTw gets S9 with hyper announcer, got to be a stupid ballgame. Tough
luck, fans of regular shows like `Españoles en la Mar` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** THAILAND. 12044.977, May 26 at 1431, VOA Korean has an LAH = low
audible heterodyne, but main signal zero-beats about here, while
match-het measuring shows 12045.005 or so. I suppose being jammed
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. Answering my question, are there any beacons on
the 18, 21, 24 MHz ham bands? Yes, a few, but mostly historical:
HF Beacons IARU Region 2 (qsl.net)
https://www.qsl.net/wj5o/HF%20Bcns.htm
And I suppose GP stand for ground plane. The 10m list contains a great
deal of old info too just in case they come back? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2087 monitoring: confirmed Wed May 26 at 1035
when I happen to awaken, the 1030 on WRMI 5850, not only on the air
but modulating me.

NOT confirmed Wed May 26 at 2100:21 on WBCQ 7490v: NOT on the air, nor
is wacko Flat Earth Radio on 9330; local storm? Yes! Much like
previously, a little storm on Blitzortung right over Monticello into
NB; no recent strixe but must be off air as precaution. OR: does the
SuperStation attract storms?!?!

Confirmed simultaneous 2100 Wed May 26 on WRMI 7780, JBA carrier
direct, but S9+5 into Washington DC>MD SDR, and also some storm
crashes there. JBA S6-S7 into UTwente.

Propagation is also degraded. WWV reported at 2100:
``Solar-terrestrial indices for 26 May follow.
Solar flux 88 and estimated planetary A-index 19.
The estimated planetary K-index at 2100 UTC on 26 May was 5.
Space weather for the past 24 hours has been minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level occurred.
Space weather for the next 24 hours is predicted to be moderate.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G2 level are likely.``

Also confirmed Wed May 26 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9/+10 into Bonaire
SDR, no jamming audible. Next, and last airing of 2087:

0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts:
http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support:
thanks this week to William Hassig, Mt Prospect IL, for a check on a
US bank to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, ``in observance
of my second Moderna COVID-19 shot on Mon 3 May 2021`` --- that`s a
good idea!

One may also contribute via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com
[not necessarily in US funds].

WOR 2088 should be ready for first airings by 0130 UT Friday May 28 on
WRMIs 5850 & 7780 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15555-USB, May 26 at 2036, gospel huxter detectable at S2.
WJHR Milton FL last heard here Feb 16 during a rare winter HF sporadic
E opening, despite at least daily daytime bandscans across the
frequency. Now there is plenty of Esporadic, and I still doubt that
it`s really low power on the air every day (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, May 26 at 0615, again no signal for 3 x 3945 Radio
Vanuatu, tho 11725 NZ is back to good level. Ron Howard confirms RV is
still off:

``Hi Glenn, May 26 - Again no trace of a Radio Vanuatu signal on any
of their usual frequencies, when checking from 0555 to 0830 UT.
Interesting to note that on Wednesday, CNR2 (11835), does in fact cut
off after the 0600 time pips and was heard again after 0900. Per my
observations, it seems that Wednesday is the only day they have this
abbreviated schedule. When Radio Vanuatu is broadcasting again,
clearly Wednesday would be the best day to check for their third
harmonic. Ron, California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 28193-CW, May 25 at 2226, along with all the US beacons in
sporadic E opening, VE4ARM/B. Loop starts with 17 E`s, then VVV DE
VE4ARM/B and a lot more probably location and/or grid square. WJ5O:

28.193 VE4ARM C AUSTIN, MB # 5W, GP

The # mark in this listing means ``confirmed as active or heard``, but
what means GP?. QRZ.com has nothing about a beacon, but it`s:

VE4ARM Canada flag Canada, MANITOBA AMATEUR RADIO MUSEUM INC. C/O DAVE
SNYDAL, 25 QUEENS CRESCENT, BRANDON, MB R7B 1G1 Canada.

Austin MB is not near Brandon but allegedly halfway between there and
Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Hwy; not in my Rand McNally atlas (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA NORTH. 15244.958, May 25 at 1454, JBA carrier off-frequency,
i.e. VOK French as scheduled only. After 1500, however, both it and
CRI via Kashgar, East Turkistan, land of ChiCom imperialist genocide
against Uyghurs and other Moslems, would clash in English on 15245,
per Aoki. OTOH, VOK continues to be plus 13760 circa 13760.2 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 92.5 WBFM, May 25 at 2200 UT, KOMA-FM OKC is playing a
jazzed-up band version of the state anthem, ``Oklahoma``. The lead-in
to it is unrecognizable, and the lead-out coda includes a few notes of
``Boomer, Sooner``. I suspect this be a daily ritual at 5 pm local,
anywhen else? Listen for it on webcast if necessary.

This was amid an FM DX opening which failed to produce anything here,
despite a few 88+ MUFs on the DXMAP, even 103 MHz to the NW which is
what got me to start tuning: mainly somewhat open frequencies 92.1 &
92.9 shifting back & forth across KOMA. Some music surged up at 2155
UT on 92.1, but proved to be only KFXI, Foxy 92 from SW OK. The Es
opening continues poking barely above 88 MHz somewhere, past 0125 UT
May 26 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, May 25 at 2217, NO signal from REE to US again today,
off or not propagating? Tuesday is an off-day for English, anyway:
never on T-days; nor S-days. 15520 is poor S3-S6 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, May 25 at 2216, VOT English is on today, lacking RTTY
QRM, but poor S9-S6. By 2248 music is good at S9+10, and keeps going
2254 with IS, 2300 TS and opening bonus German, but off by 2340
recheck, so no Brazuguese at 0000 this time. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler.

[non] Besides Spain on M/W/F, there are NO overseas SW broadcasts in
English for us at 22-23. Romania is on but unsuitable: 5945 & 7310
Galbeni to western Europe, too low for us in summer; 7325 & 9790
Tsiganeshti to Japan; and one or two of them out of order (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 660 kHz, May 25 at 0615 UT, some 24 hours after 50/50 kW U2
KTNN Window Rock AZ was in well, no sign of it with KSKY Dallas
nulled, lending credence to my conclusion that it were ND then instead
of properly restricting signal to the east (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28204-CW, May 25 at 1832, DE W0WF/B VVV -- call repeated
numerously before a blip and VVV seems to be at end of loop rather
than start. HF sporadic E opening. WJ5O`s 10m beacon list shows:

28.204 WØWF * SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI # 20W, VERTICAL (*) Daylight New
16 June 14 --- that`s rather close under 500 miles. Note that the
number in call is zero, but this list uses the Scandinavian *letter*
crossed-O instead! QRZ.com does not:

``W0WF USA flag USA, JERRY D WATTS, SAINT CHARLES, MO 63303 USA
IF YOU COPY MY BEACON ON 28.204 PLEASE E-MAIL ME A SIGNAL REPORT AND
YOUR LOCATION TO W0WF.B@AOL.COM``

28285+CW, May 25 at 1834, JBA beacon split below 28286. Five in USA
are listed, NY, TX, AZ, FL, none of which correlate with the ones
IDed. Could narrow down with preciser frequency.

28281-CW, May 25 at 1841, DE W8EH EM79 --- heavy fading so many
iterations necessary to copy. It`s:

28.281 W8EH C MIDDLETOWN OHIO # 8W, GP VERTICAL --- QRZ.com:

``W8EH USA flag USA, ERNEST W HOWARD, JR, MIDDLETOWN, OH 45044 USA
W8EH/BEACON: 10 meters on 28.281 MHz in Middletown, OH. It is running
7 to 8 watts to a Cushcraft Ringo 20' above ground at 860' elevation.
If you want a beacon reception report confirmed by card, please send a
SASE, or addressed envelope and IRC. If you just want to tell me you
heard the beacons, just drop me an email.``

28199.5-CW, May 25 at 1850 UT, DE WA4OTD/B CARMEL, IN --- NOT listed
by WJ5O on this frequency but instead only at:

28.2788 WA4OTD C CARMEL, INDIANA # 5W, attic dipole New 19 Oct 2010

The seldom used comma character between CARMEL and IN is --..--
Even his QRZ.com page has the wrong frequency!

``WA4OTD USA flag USA, Leroy S Wignot, Carmel, IN 46032 USA
The 10M beacon on 28.278.8 MHz, is running again! Listen if you get a
chance and send signal report if you hear it! Wignot@yahoo.com. The
beacon is HTX-100 running 5 or 25 watts into dipole at 40 feet in my
attic.``

Around same time, 1838 UT, WWV audible on 25000; CB pileup on 27025-AM
but little else; no phone activity on 18 or 28 MHz; no hams at all on
24 MHz; no beacons or anything on low end of 50 MHz. As usual, 6M
DXMAP shows lots of sporadic E activity but mostly well below the 88+
MHz FMBC band threshold.

Another session starting at 2221: 28199.5, WA4OTD/B IN still in.

28286.5, May 25 at 2222 & 2304, WB6BIN from Long Beach CA again today

28193, VE4ARM: see CANADA. I`m mainly interested in beacons, but quick
tunearound for other Es: 27555-USB at 2307 freebanders, also 27440. CB
AM pileups 27285 & 27025 full of hets at 2308. A few phone contacts on
10m: Traverse City mentioned on 28350-USB, from or to? Are there any
ham beacons on 18, 21, 24 MHz? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, May 25 after 0600, routine bandscan detects no
signal at all from RV`s 3rd harmonic; off the air? Same 24 hours
earlier. However, NZ 11725 much weaker than usual so maybe just
propagation. Is really off, as Ron Howard reports May 25:

``[WOR] Radio Vanuatu currently off the air! Radio Vanuatu - Recently
noted off the air; no trace of a signal on their usual frequencies
with random checking. May 25, from 0530 to 0930 UT. Also per Bryan
Clark (May 24) - "No trace on 3945, 5040 or 7260 at present, at
1930 UTC." Ron, California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
