New CP for 1140 Aberdeen WA  View Printable Version

A friend and I (both of us in broadcasting) have discussed Bill
wolfenbarger (spelling?) at length from time to time.. he is a successful,
smart broadcaster and does good local radio. I suspect there's a chance
this may not get built. But Bill has money and he knows his market way
better then we do... I've seen pictures of the proposed site in the FCC
application.

I'd almost bet $ 20 on this not getting built, but I've been way wrong
before!

I was thinking the same thing Paul. Any investment, people want a decent return on that. Building a new facility like this would be expensive. Now their other properties could be re-located there. But that are gets expensive. The CP alone is worth money, so it could be sold to someone else too. The big deal years ago about the new 50,000 watt facility for Warrenton OR, would be co-located with the old KAST location in Astoria. They have two sticks and was going to add 3 more, but with CG air station did not like that across the bay. Too much red tape to get involved with.

73,

Patrick
