Glenn Hauser logs December 18-19-20, 2022  View Printable Version
Tuesday, December 20 2022

Logs
** CUBA. 5025, Dec 19 at 0428, R. Rebelde remains active S9/+10 but
overmodulated distorted and nothing on X2 = 10050. Still at 0740 now
S9+10/20 on 5025 only, still overmodistorted. Something`s always wrong
at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5040, Dec 19 at 0430, RHC music in Spanish is only S5/S6,
much weaker than normal. At 0739, 5040 is S8/S9 and undermodulated;
while 2 x 5040 = 10080 is S9+10/20! I keep listening on 10080, and at
0741, DX/media program `En Contacto` theme and opening: topix to be
history of the telegraph leading up to electronic communication, solar
and geomagnetic activity, and cellular phones. Telegraph started in
1832 by a Russian, they claim, but I don`t listen to the rest of it.
At this hour, of course, RHC Spanish is supposed to be off the air,
but playing back what probably aired six hours earlier. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, Dec 19 at 0736, RHC English with S8/S9 of humbuzz only;
6165 with cleaner open carrier at S8/S9. Something`s always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Dec 19 at 1631, RHC is S9/+10 in suptorted Spanish.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Dec 19 at 2139, no R. Cairo English into UTwente.
Nor at later chex. Something`s always amiss at Abis (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** INDONESIA [non]. 7780, Mon Dec 19 at 0803, S6/S8 WRMI relay with
music, anthem? 0804 VOI ID, but then into a song rather than ToH news.
2 am CST is far too late for me to be awake and no way I`m up for
another hour to hear this (Glen Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Dec 19 at 0742, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati;
also three other splits, see unID (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA NORTH. 11710, Dec 19 at 1642, S7/S9 of sweet EZL music: must
be VOK from that Paradise during French hour to NAm. Seems the same
but JBA on // 9435. EiBi shows CNR1 Beijing site also on 11710 long
hours including this, inconvenient if true (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA NORTH [non]. 9990, Dec 19 at 1640, Korean at S5/S7. It`s RFA
via SAIPAN at 15-19 & 21-22 per EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Dec 19 at 0735, no VON signal (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6950 USB, Dec 19 at 2354, S7/S9 of pirate music,
Xmassy? The OSOB = only station on band. 2356 misc. noises; 2359
soong, no ID circa TXoH; Dec w0 at 0005 SSTV beepery but very
repetitive unlike the usual but the standard end-of-picture beeps at
the 0009 end: then followed by a voice ID but so ``produced`` it`s
unreadable. Many reports here of Thunder Chicken Radio
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,107021.0.html
with several previous SSTVs but this one was a cartoon drawing of T.C.
himself. Nothing more for a while and tuneout as evidently signed off
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Dec 19 at 2315, token English from REE on Monday,
S7/S9 into Maryland SDR, Amy Egan interview with Pauline --- about
funding for artists. Not the solid bigsig; somewhat weaker but
sufficient off back of ME beam on 12030; 11940 to SAm much weaker; no
signal on 11685 to Africa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5960, Dec 19 at 2304, no signal from VOT English into
UTwente. Nor at 2315 when XJPBS Chinese is on instead with no
competition, also 2330, from EAST TURKISTAN, land of imperialist
ChiCom genocide against Uighurs and other Moslems (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 13563.5 CW, Dec 19 at 1626, PCO ID over and over from HIFER
beacon in Pine, COlorado, and occasional long dashes. JBA but better
than JJBBA CW trace on 13565, no doubt K6FRC California. Also with QRM
from CODAR swirshes (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15016 USB, Dec 19 at 1632, alfanumeric crypto message, S9+10
with self-imposed roar/whine, ending with ``44 characters, this is
Acid Rain; out`` at 1633*.

8992 USB, Dec 19 at 1635 in continuing bandscan I happen to run across
this again, S9+10 and time to copy it complete by fonetix: ``I say
again: MQFWNCVC2EJYSIXLZ7SHAS3K7LUBXA this is Acid Rain, out`` to
1636*. Possibly I mixed up letter S with figure 5 in reading my
copying; correxions welcome. But what do they really mean? EiBi calls
these ``US Air Force Messages``, 24h available, also on 4724, 11175.
The colorful tactical IDs change every day, or every hour? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 15180, Dec 19 at 1629, `Yankee Doodle Dandy` IS at
S7/S9, 1630 opening VOA English with newscaster ``by remote`` soon
attributing something to Reuters. Aoki shows 1630-1700 M-F is via
Pinheira, SÃO TOMÉ in ``Sud`` language - I guess that means Sudanese
dialect of Arabic, but WRTH 2022 had no such listing. Rather English
as in EiBi. Strangely enough, not noticeably off-frequency! (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2169 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
December 18 at 2100 on NEXUS/IBA IRRS SW & MW, via AM Italia, 1323
kHz, S9+15/20 into nearby Noale SDR; no significant QRM.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 19 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/S9
direct; fortunately back on air unlike 24 hours ago.

Also confirmed UT Monday December 19 at 0400 on WBCQ Area 51, 6160
minus 65 Hz = 6159.935, S8/9+10 into NH SDR. Next:

0130 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

Thanks to Ron Howard, Monterey CA, for a check on a US bank to Glenn
Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, ``Am sending it to you in memory
of Brian Alexander (May 1, 1957 - Dec. 26, 2012). I once enjoyed his
many African logs. Thank you for your many excellent contributions to
our radio hobby over the decades!``

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5130 minus 12 Hz = 5129.988, Dec 19 at 0424 into NH SDR,
WBCQ R. Angela `Concert Hall` with complete opera Fidelio by
Beethoven, has some brief intermittent 2-way QRM, lo fi, sounds like
Russian language. WBCQ signal is fading down, so switch to a Rochester
NY SDR increasing the skip distance, but does not help much, 0453 into
Shakespeare sonnet (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330v, Dec 19 at 1637, WBCQ-6 still not back on air this
Monday after a week off for heavy antenna maintenance, but projected
by AW to resume today, and by end of week with full frequency
flexibility at last. Altho numerous other bands and frequencies were
registered originally, currently HFCC has nothing but 9330 except for
some apparently deleted SPC Sofia relays. And FCC still has no B22
skeds up since A22!

9329.814V, Dec 19 at 2345, back on at S9/+10 but fluttery in
Brazuguese, not solid signal and wobbling slightly, also still way
off-channel (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5085, Dec 19 at 0217, ``WRMI Legends`` here S7/S9, // 9455.
Didn`t we see this coming? 0232 DJ named Clark? promoting Xmas pixure
contest as on wtww.us and then, Xmasmx. Still on at 0428 check.
Leading up to:

WOR iog 0431 UT Dec 18: ``USA. There are teasers being aired on WRMI
Legends that 5085 kHz will be used for WRMI Legends very soon. Talk on
the Legends Facebook page suggest that tuning of the antenna and
transmitter could be achieved quickly. There is no indication as to
which transmitter would be used, or hours of transmission or what
effect this will have on other frequencies being used for WRMI
Legends, or on other programmes being transmitted by the re-tuned
transmitter. Alan Roe, Teddington, UK``

0516 UT Dec 18: ``Hi George, Can you block them from using 5085, or
would you want to? How are things going now? Glenn``

0653 UT Dec 18: ``Glenn, Our return to 5085 is set for January 15,
2023. The 5085 transmitter is in total disrepair. Modules are being
repaired. It is expected to return at 100 KW. George McClintock
12-18-2022`` and then I post his reply to the WOR iog.

WOR iog: ``There is programming on 5085 kHz right now (0107 UTC, Dec.
19). "Feliz Navidad" by José Feliciano, preceded and followed by "WRMI
Legends" identification. I was only able to see a carrier with my SDR
at my location with no audio; went to visit someone else's KiwiSDR to
hear what I described above. Things are going to get awkward if WRMI
and the revived WTWW both intend to use this frequency at the same
time … 73, Ricky Leong, Calgary, Alberta, Canada``

``Thanks, Ricky for the heads up. 5085 with S9+10 signal into Masset,
BC at 02:58 UTC tune-in. Classic WTWW programming. So, presumably,
this is via a transmitter in Okeechobee? 73, Walt`` Salmaniw

0315 UT Dec 19: ``5085 apparently ex-4980 missing which was on 160
antenna like 9955, hardly ideal for inside NAm. This 5085 is much
weaker here than the real WTWW was. // much stronger 9455. Glenn``

0318 UT Dec 19: ``Glenn, of course, is correct. Gave a WRMI ID at
03:00. I agree that the signal was less by 10 to 20 dB compared to the
"real" WWTW. 9455's signal into Masset is also very nice. Walt``

George McClintock of the real WTWW called me UT Dec 20 about 0030 to
tell me that he has got 5085 back on the air already, testing with PPP
audio at about 70 kW. He says WRMI can keep on 5085 tonight and
tomorrow night, but WTWW takes over from Wed night = UT Thu Dec 22,
also daytime on 9475, from #2 transmitter, and will stay on rather
than waiting until Jan 15. New modulator cards to be delivered 12/21.
Lots of them in #1 were burned up. Computers are also a mess, Ted
refusing to supply passwords or cooperate otherwise. #1 will be
activated later but #3 may not be restorable. He leaves it on a few
minutes longer for me to check:

Yes, PPP on 5085 blasting in here as before peaking 40 over 9 until
cut off at 0038.6* UT. Also detectable were the +/- circa 13 kHz
parasite spur carriers just barely audible about 5072 & 5098 like
before. No sign of RMI yet on 5085 or 4980 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7570, 7730, 7780, Dec 19 at 0732 check, all three WRMIs are
on // with TOM but not BS voice right now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9980, Dec 19 at 1640 and 1946 chex, WWCR-4 is OFF, TOMBS
frequency; others normal at 1946, 12160, 13845, 15825. By next check
2352, 9980 is back on blasting BS at S9+30/40 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 19 at 0734, RV still here, JBA S5/S7, not on
7890 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA split MW carrier search, Dec 19 at
0752: besides TP 846 Kiritimati, likely sources: 882 Canary Island or
Spain; 1215 UK; 711 Western Sahara (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7612-USB, VP Dec 19 at 1624, 2-way in colloquial
Spanish, cambio (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Glenn Hauser logs December 17-18, 2022  View Printable Version
Sunday, December 18 2022

Logs
** CUBA. 11760, Sun Dec 18 at 1600, RHC announces continuing on 11760
and 15140 and FM; 1602 opening weekly Esperanto, also on much weaker
15140, claiming sked is Sun 0800 on 6100; 1600 on 11760-only; 2230 or
2330? on 15730. At the Esp`o service they haven`t a clue when and
where they are really being transmitted: 0800 has been AWOL lately,
used to appear on some 6 MHz channel not always 6100 but all of them
off earlier today; 1600 has been on +15140 for years; third airing has
been reported in B22 at 2130 on 13680 or somewhere. Also both
announcers can`t break themselves of Spanish habits, misaccentuating
Ameriko and politiko as ``Amériko`` and ``polítiko`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** FINLAND [non]. eQSL, reply to my report to R. Strömsö, 3955 via
Germany via UTwente SDR, indirectly into Oklahoma, Dec 17 at 1952-2000
UT:

``Thank you for your report! Radio Strömsö is a SDXL club programme
relayed by Texas Radio Shortwave, and edited by DJs Tricky Trev and
Heppu Hyypiö from Scandinavian Weekend Radio.

Finnish DX Association (SDXL) is the largest Finnish DX club with
history going back to year 1958. We publish a magazine Radiomaailma
(Radio World) and we have a web site at http://www.sdxl.fi During the
boom days in 1970s-1980s we had more than 2000 members in a country of
5 million. Today the club has almost 500 members.
DX club radio programmes used to be a regular feature in 1950s, 1960s,
when various stations around the globe did broadcast special
broadcasts. This kind of activity was common especially in Sweden, but
also Finnish clubs did organise such broadcasts from Spanish stations,
Rome, Prague, HCJB, Tangier, even from Radio Australia. In 1960s the
only English language show from Radio Finland was DX Mailbag, produced
by Finlands DX Club.

It was unexpected that broadcast was 19 UTC. We were told it should
have been 18 UTC. This is puzzling because every day there is
scheduled Radio DARC at 19 UTC. It would have been simplest thing to
keep Radio DARC in usual slot and transmit Strömsö at 18 UTC but no,
it was DARC that was switched to previous slot.

Attached is your eQSL. We wish you a peaceful Yule and a happy New
Year!

** U S A. 7780, Dec 18 at 0030, WRMI missing and so is WOR, so I
inspect all other WRMI frequencies into Maryland SDR. Also off: 4980,
5010, 9455. Skedgrid still dated Dec 13 shows only 4980 is supposed to
be off, before *0200; besides 7730 24h but has just resumed. Confirmed
ON: 5800 SMTV, 5850 English, 5950 TRSW, 7570, 7730, 9395, 9955. At
0130 UT Sun Dec 18, 5850 confirmed amid `Encore` classical music, but
not on 7730 and no signal on 15770 into Maryland SDR. At 0802, all
three 7s are on, 7570, 7730, 7780, see INDONESIA [non] (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9955, Sunday December 18 at 1559, WRMI is still on with Etón
ad, unlike weekdays when the 1530 DX/media program strip is
dispensable (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 18 at 0803, R. Vanuatu still here, VP (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-oceanic JBA split MW carrier search, Dec 18 at
0743 UT: 711, 882, 1215, but nothing on 846 as Kiritimati TP is
usually silent Sundays; others likely TA, Western Sahara, Canary Is,
UK respectively (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Subject: [WOR] Glenn Hauser logs December 17, 2022

CUBA. 5040, 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, 10080, etc., Dec 17 at 0721, NO
signals at all from RHC. At least one of them is usually remaining.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

CUBA [and non]. 5025, Dec 17 at 0724, R. Rebelde music is S9+20/30
but somewhat overmodulatedistorted. Nothing on 10050, clear for Gander
VOLMET 10051 USB. That station should have been raising a ruckus about
the harmonic, if they knew what was happening; and still could.

Logs
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Sat Dec 17 at 1458, LRA36 is already on
with songs, S5/S8 into Argentine SDR I am sharing with someones in
Chicago, Bochum; 1502 another song, but disappears at 1505* before any
sign/on. I jiggle tuning to 15475.00 USB, but cannot detect any
reduced carrier. Just in case, I keep listening to the noise until
1549 but never resumes. Quite a bust today and barely managed a
semihour back on Wednesday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5040, 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, 10080, etc., Dec 17 at 0721, NO
signals at all from RHC. At least one of them is usually remaining.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 5025, Dec 17 at 0724, R. Rebelde music is S9+20/30
but somewhat overmodulatedistorted. Nothing on 10050, clear for Gander
VOLMET 10051 USB. That station should have been raising a ruckus about
the harmonic, if they knew what was happening; and still could (Glenn

** FINLAND [non]. 3955, Dec 17 at 1952, I remember that the Radio
Strömsö special should be on at 19-20, instead of erroneous originally
publicized time of 18-19. Yes, there it is into UTwente SDR, S5/S7 in
music, best heard at <6 kHz bandwidth on AM or AM Synch. 1953 English
talk about visiting S. island; 1955 contact info; 1956 old Xmas carol;
1958 Texas R SW outro; 1959 TYROT IS but cut to Channel 292 = GERMANY
ID; and that soon overridden by very strong open carrier producing
medium SAH which proves to be from 2000 KBS World Radio in German,
listed via Woofferton UK relay (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Dec 17 at 0732, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati.
See UNIDENTIFIED for a few others at this hour (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** MALI [and non]. 5995, Dec 17 at 1852, since it`s Saturday I
remember to tune in for ORTM`s token English broadcast weekly. Canary
SDR gets it S7/S8 but must use AMNarrow, LSB or SAL mode to avoid
stronger signal ACI from 6000, NHK via France until 1900. Also weaker
CCI on 5995: only listed is Korean radio war, if it`s this week`s Echo
of Hope frequency. Something about friendly relations with China,
Tunisia also mentioned, a coalition. M reader is enunciating slowly
and clearly but still a struggle to follow the gist. Alternating W has
heavier accent and speaks faster. Presentation by ambassador about
students learning Chinese, English, a ceremony in November? 1903 till
next week and into music. 1907 I go back to The Met via KUCO for the
first intermission feature during Rigoletto. Next week: The Magic
Flute, in English (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Dec 17 at 0720, no signal from VON (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Now we know what really accounts for the drastic changes
at 90.1, KUCO FM we have previously covered. Found on the homepage Dec
17:

``What's Happening with KUCO Programming? Many of you have probably
noticed some changes taking place with KUCO's programming. KUCO is the
ONLY radio station still playing CDs. Our CD players are failing at an
alarming rate and there are no options to repair or replace them. It's
crucial we digitize our music library as soon as possible. This is a
MASSIVE undertaking with a projected timeline of five years. In order
to speed up this process, we are TEMPORARILY using a streaming service
so our extremely small staff can spend their time converting our CDs.
All of KUCO's current on-air staff is still here and we are all
working feverishly to complete this critical upgrade. We appreciate
your patience and we will be back with our local hosts in January.
Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays! Best, Jeff Hagy``

Other disruptions continue: `From the Top` dropped off at 1646 UT Dec
17, soon replaced by backup music from KUCO for 4 minutes. After 1703
I`m hearing jazz piano and percussion instead of `The Score` as
scheduled. Faked out: that really is `The Score` or transition to it
at 1706 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2169 monitoring: confirmed UT

Also confirmed UT Saturday December 17 at 0500 on WBCQ Radio Angela,
5130 minus 17 Hz into NH SDR = 5129.983, S9/+15.

Also confirmed Saturday December 17 at 1700 on WRN N America webcast.

** U S A. (7490v), UT Sat Dec 17 at 0100-0201, WBCQ webcast of
`AAAWWW`, starts with a sneeze, somehow relates that to Free Speech;
A&A arguing about whether microphoniums are open, usual banter. 0106
announces that Angela became a US citizen last Friday which is why
there was no new show. The process took some 4 years and would have
lasted longer without some legal help: but they did it the right way.
Never mentioned whether she renounced Canadian citizenship, which the
US considers optional despite wording of the Oath. They go thru some
typical citizenship test Q&A.

Quick check of the SW frequencies into NH remote: 6159.936, 7489.938,
5129.997; while 3265v & 9330v are off. 0125 datestamp of 16 Dec YOOLF
2022 and trimulcasting. SuperStition has been off since Monday Dec 12
and hope to have it back on by following Monday; as a crew has been
retuning the antenna. ``Glenn Hauser, get it right``, accusing me of
getting it wrong. Anything ``wrong`` has been due to lack of explicit
info out of AW about what is really going on, forcing us to speculate!
Asks for prayers for some staff who are hurting. Does not mention
``electrocuted`` this week as twice before, never with any details of
how it happened, how serious if not deadly, and who exactly is
suffering. God knows?

Ant has been under maintenance since summer. It was almost built when
they got it in 2017/18 but then Ampegon went bankrupt and
knowledgeable engineers could not come over from Switzerland, because
of pandemic. Now someone from Germany is leading the work. Expensive,
e.g. a single cap costs $ 20K. Supporting tube is 10 to 15 ft diameter.
Ant is 4 vertical x 4 horizontal dipoles = 16. SS antenna is as
impressive as the Grand Canyon when you stand under it, rather than
just looking at photos. Maintenance should be completely finished by
end of next week = 24 Dec. It`s 52 degrees in Fla which they consider
frigid, and worry about how cold it has to get before Angela`s horses
need to be blanketed. 0137 excerpts of articles from Radio World, in
defense of AM radio in cars; and of analog by WFMU GM; 0149 BBC
planning to be online only by 2030y ``only 8 years from now`` -- make
that 7. 0054 a few emails only from political supporters. Yes, they
could not resist some digs at Biden vs their ``real`` president T****.
Usual wrapup, prayer, joining Hal Turner about a minute late (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7730, Dec 17 at 0716, for first time since hurricane
destruxion, a carrier here as I tune across every night, S7/S9 and
maybe a trace of modulation, presumed WRMI. This was on NE antenna,
and since then 15770 has had to substitute for it even tho totally
inappropriate propagationally at night, so will 15770 now be off or
reduced? Compared to 7780 on SW antenna, which is S9 with TOMBS. AND,
7570 on NW antenna with TOMBS, is OFF! The 7554-7584 range is occupied
by some kind of noise presumably ute not DRM, which 7570 normally
overrides. Lou Johnson, GA, posted to WRMI fb circa 23 UT Dec 16 that
7730 is back! with no further info or replies.

7730 is also audible Dec 17 at 1916 with gospel huxter, S7 into
Maryland SDR and // much stronger 15770, S7/S9+15. WRMI skedgrid shows
7730 as WRMI-1, 44 degrees to Europe at NO times 24h! While 15770 is
WRMI-9, also 44/Eu and scheduled 24/7. So what antenna is 7730 really
on now? There are about two dozen entries of 7730 in several program
skedgrids, never removed while imaginary. BTW the waterfall shows a
45-degree-angled ionosonde running upward, and I do hear it blip as it
crosses 15770 at 1928; and another at 1929, 1932 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 17 at 0720, S7/S9 music from RV still here, no
7890 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-oceanic JBA split MW carrier search, December 17
at 0732: besides 846 KIRITIMATI, q.v.: 855-two making slow beat about
1 Hz, likely Spain; 1098 slower beat about 32/minute = 0.53 Hz. At
this late hour I would assume one be 25 kW, V7AB, Marshall Islands;
other maybe RNE5 Spain of which there are four ranging 5 to 25 kW, if
not too late for 25 kW from Slovakia, where all MW is being turned
off. And there are numerous further 1098 TPs, including a megawatt
from somewhere in China. And one more JBAC on 1107, likely Spain, of
which there are five RNE5 ranging 10 to 25 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 88.1 FM, Dec 17 at 0224 UT, partial announcement in
Spanish ``escúchenos las 24 horas ... mejor compañía`` vs CCI from
maringal Okies KMSI & KWOU. Probably UStation rather than Mex. For the
first time this winter, checking for DX on the cold caradio, as DXMAP
showed Es FM DX between PA & AR an hour ago up to 100 MHz, and it
might have slipped into OK. But that`s all I get in bandscanning
bottom half of FM band continuously since 0213 when there was some
lite classical on 88.1 unexpected from either Okie: sked on KGOU/KWOU
at 8 pm Fri is `Snap Judgment` about storytelling:
https://www.kgou.org/show/snap-judgment - nothing else unusual but
some stupid ballgames with horrible modulation on 92.1, mentioning
Spencer, OK?; 93.5, Cougars, KS? Quit at 0235 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
