Hauser
** BRAZIL [and non]. 9665.993V, Sept 30 at 0628, gospel music at
S6-S9, as RVM is doing well, but almost reaching a full kHz
off-frequency, wobbling audibly, but at one point measured here. Makes
het with a weaker 9665.00, no doubt VOK, which is also into
offfrequenciness but not here, not now. RVM outshines its adjacents,
TOMBS via Channel 292 on 9670, and RRI in Arabic from 0630 on 9660.
EiBi still displays RVM on only 9665.2, Aoki on 9665 and neither will
reveal that it varies (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2106)

** CUBA. 6230, Sept 30 at 0619, RHC English at S6-S8. This is a
leapfrog mixing product of 6100 over 6165 another 65 kHz beyond.

6140, Sept 30 at 0620, RHC English is JBA, weaker than 6230; this one
is a leapfrog of 6060 over 6100 another 40 kHz beyond.

Fundamentals from Bauta are plenty strong: 6060 S9/+10; 6100 S9+20;
6165 S9+40. Another possible mix would be 6270, i.e. 6060 over 6165
another 105 kHz beyond, but nothing there, why? Something`s always
wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2106)

** KOREA NORTH. 9445.137, Sept 30 at 0627, JBA talk, language
uncertain but way off frequency. Scheduled on ``9445`` is VOK in
English (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2106)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6931-USB, Oct 1 at 0023, S9, live-sounding DJ about
connexions, says there is another unknown just below him but not
QRMing. ``--- Radio`` featuring oldies, gonna relax, have some sweet
wine. 0024 song about angels, Teen Angel? 0030, `Wheels`, ``I love
this song!``. 0034 ``Oldies Radio``. But many more logs here as Goat
Herder Radio, one of Zekey`s stations:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,87061.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6925-USB, Oct 1 at 0025, another S9 pirate with
raucous rock; 0027 gibberish with bleeps, YL ID sounds like ``WTIC``
which is a real station in Hartford. Must have been WDOG, per many
logs here:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,87060.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Reply to my log of hams on 80m in USB instead of LSB,
probably Usanian but could be Canadian:

``Hi, Glenn, Do you suppose that those hams on USB, 3819 kHz, might
have been using ex-military radios that were not capable of
transmitting on LSB (without being modified)? I used to have one of
those, an old AN/PRC-47. Also, some ex-maritime radios are limited to
USB and AM, but can be modified for USB [LSB?]. I guess there is no
way to tell what they were using, unless they actually said so.
Anyway, just a thought! I enjoy your reports. Take care and all the
Best! Very 73, Martin Potter, VE3OAT`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF
RADIO 2106)

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Wed Sept 29 at 1454, LRA36 is on this
Wednesday, S4-S7 into Brasil SDR; usual mix of music, frequent canned
IDs, brief talx seemingly about some Argentine event on anniversary,
rather than Antarctica. 1504 ID, about 24 of September, music; 1511
``Nacional, La Radio Pública`` ID. 1526 Antarctica song; 1544 contact
info, fragment of song, ``hielo, blanco y más blanco``; 1548 march
song; 1554 brief QRM de 15475.00-USB 2-way INTRUDERS in Spanish; 1613
ID, 1614 hielo song; 1636 anniversary of algo, past 1650, cut off at
1709*. I let it run and hear some 15475 2-way again at 1718 when I can
tell the reduced open carrier is still running from LRA36 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 680, Sept 29 at 0630 UT as I am bandscanning, immediately
hear ``680 CJOB`` IDs, plug Alexa, weather. For the moment atop the
frequency despite my antenna E-W, and despite all its 50 kW at night
(and most of it at day) supposed to head NNE from Winnipeg; sure
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

divertirnos.

Pero dado el éxito que hemos tenido seguiremos produciendo programas;

Alejandro Vallebueno. Programas "Canto de las Americas"``

Here`s the eQSL:
https://www.w4uvh.net/GlennMX.pdf

or #131 via:
http://www.worldofradio.com/QSL.html

Uncle Bill responds:

``Thanks for the kind words about México le canta a las Américas. In
the short run, we are discussing a possible Nochevieja Panamericana (a
Pan American NYE special) that would incorporate music from several
different LATAM countries. Doubtful that we'll do another specific
country special this year, but in 2022 who can say? "Uncle Bill"
Tilford -- editing a future UBMP about Togo``

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2105 monitoring. ZZZ Wed Sept 29 at 1030 on
WRMI 5850; anyone hear it?

Wed Sept 29 at 2100 the BST-1 caradio is the only SW I have access to.
Both WRMI 7780 and WBCQ 7490 are in its memory; no direct frequency
input; but both are so weak that I fear they will unable to stop the
scan. I stop at a quiet spot away from power lines, turn off the car,
and finally after multiple memory scans, each one does, confirming
WOR: WBCQ at 2115, WRMI at 2121, both VP. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW

** CANADA. 15034-USB, Sept 28 at 1738, Trenton Military is on again
but VP S4, Shannon aviation weather (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA [non]. 13645, Sept 28 at 1743 hilife music, S5-S8. It`s the
CRI Swahili service via MALI (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KASHMIR [non]. 15170, Sept 28 at 1507, tune-in via UTwente to
another weekly Tuesday Kashmir Civitas via IRRS via ROMANIA: S9/+15 in
presumed Urdu, but 1511 abruptly shift to jive music in English!, more
rock, and from 1519 discussion about the Tiananmen Square massacre in
Beijing, interview with a Chinese-American author, Terence Cheng, of a
novel about it, notably the brave anti-tank protester; with music
background until chopped off at 1529* without any RRI IS this time.
Was K.C. really only 11 minutes long this week? Or playback failed and
default to fill material? IRRS webcast is continuous, much of it with
no specific programming but unknown stuff pulled from the web, often
fragmented (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEW ZEALAND. 15720, Sept 29 at 0040, RNZ confirmed on reactivated
frequency but not its true span, VP to the ear but peaking S8-S9 to my
generous meter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 11940, Sept 28 at 2155, REE non-English is still somewhat
distorted, but loud & clear on // 17855 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SWEDEN [non]. 15260, Sept 28 at 1737, S7-S9, YL talk in language
unseems Arabish but listed as Arabic from Radio Sama = IBRA Radio, via
Woofferton UK this hour daily (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, Sept 28 at 2152, VOT IS & English ID loop, so looks
good for today unlike absence yesterday, S9/+25 direct and no RTTY
audible in AM --- but detectable in USB, not LSB. Oh2, 2157.6* dumps
off the air; but back on by 2159. Did it remain the whole hour? About
halfway in, it had become JBA on the portable with clipon (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5896.5-USB, Sept 29 at 0045, some weak unreadable 2-way
phone, then mostly beepery until at least 0100. Fortunately there are
no broadcasters nearby but surely will be later. Wonder if NTIA
coördinate this `OOB` area for US broadcasters giving priority to
government/military comms. Last logged May 13, 2020 as MARS net:
http://www.w4uvh.net/ghlogs_2020_0507_0514.txt
which concludes with: ``This is a SHARES net frequency as explained
with my first log July 27, 2016 at the same time
http://www.w4uvh.net/dxld1630.txt
and there have been several since`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17530, Sept 28 at 1740, VOA discussing need to vaccinate
animals, against rabies, S9/+20 --- a reminder that this 1700-1830
sesquihour is the only time we can hear VOA well in English from
Grimesland - unless too close in the skip zone.

17530 is extensively used for other VOA languages: French, Somali,
Kinyarwanda, Swahili; and sites: Botswana, Vatican violating
Separation of Church and State, São Tomé e Príncipe, Ascension. Can
you mix and match them without uplooking? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE
