** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2254 monitoring: 9475: ``World of
radio WTWW at 2300 UT Sat, Aug 3 --- Local reception was fair to good,
although noisy, right from the top of the hour here in BC. Was quite
audible and understandable. Tony Pavick, Hope BC Canada``

Confirmed Saturday August 3 at 2300 on WTWW 9475, as always VG direct;
but VP S8 with ACI into UTwente on 9475.000. Must not be aimed toward
Europe.

Also confirmed UT Sunday August 4 at 0007 the 0000 on WRMI 9955, S7/S9
into Brasília SDR.

Also confirmed UT Sunday August 4 at 0324 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO,
S9+10/15 with high storm noise into nearby SDR, about 2 minutes into

** VANUATU. 7260, Sunday August 4 at 0647, R. Vanuatu, S9+10 with
music, jazzed-up version of `O Come All Ye Faithful` with refrains in
English ``O come let us adore him``. Don`t they know that Xmas carols
must be played to death only during November & December? Later on,
others report RV was stuck in a repeating loop of something.
Apparently staying on 7260 to s/off 1100v rather than 3945 (Glenn

** FINLAND. 11690, first Sat Aug 3 at 1824, S6/S7 into UTwente music
and talk in presumed Finnish, presumably monthly broadcast of
low-power Scandinavian Weekend Radio, need LSB to avoid ACI from 11695
CRI Kashgar in French; gone around 1830. Then at 1837 I check 11720 to
find similar S7/S9 signal in the clear, with disco beat as scheduled:

11720.019 at first, drift down to 11720.008 by 1900. The QSY from
11690 to 11720 is supposed to be at 1800. Nothing heard on // 6170

** FINLAND [non]. 6120, Sat Aug 3 at 1800, JBA signal 2 Hz low into
UTwente, checking for Blacksmith Knoll, but this goes off abruptly.
Must have been XJRTV in Uighur as scheduled from Urumqi, East
Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and
other Moslems. B.K. supposed to start by 1805, but nothing heard nor

** TURKEY. 11785.004+, Aug 3 at 2205, VOT English not off the air,
S9+35/45 into UTwente in news. 2212 music. 2216 `The Energy Agenda`
about power plants storing energy for efficiency. TNX to ``my man``,
Alan Holder on the IOW for providing me with names of the announcers I
shall try to employ. For that program: Evran Genç,  2222 music. 2226
`Turkey`s Geomarked Products` by Evran again, repeat about goat

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2254 monitoring: confirmed UT
Saturday August 3 at 0400 on WTWW 5085, S9+15/25 into Maryland SDR.
Followed by a songbit at 0429 and cut off air before 0430.

Also confirmed Saturday August 3 at 1453 the 1430 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.001-, S9/S7 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday August 3 at 1600 on WRN North America
webcast.

Also confirmed Saturday August 3 at 1738 the 1730 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160.000+ at S8/9, sounds stronger than 3975.000+, also
reading S8/9 into UTwente.

Also confirmed starting at 1958 the 1930v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO,
S9+15 into nearby SDR.

days, ex-9960, and still on 7260 past 0700 with news, S9+10/15. I

15230 & 6000, can`t tell if also English or even really Cuba (Glenn

** GUAM. 12105, August 2 at 1452, JBA carrier. EiBi shows this hour
only as KSDA in Chinese. It`s also the registered frequency for WTWW,
if & when the #3 transmitter reactivate (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KUWAIT [and non]. 21221.5 USB, Aug 2 at 2205, 9K2GR, Khalid in
contact with NO9E whom I was hearing first; unusual to hear both
sides. QRZ.com has no address but lots of certificates, etc. for
``9K2GR Kuwait flag Kuwait KHALED ALHASHEL``

``NO9E USA flag USA, Ignacy Misztal, 235 Cedar Springs Dr, Athens, GA
30605, USA`` with lots of photos of equipment and expeditions.

I always check 10m first, then 12m where I have not heard *any*
activity for ages; nor much on 15: this was the first signal I
encountered tuning down from 21450 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEW ZEALAND. Where is the RNZI SW schedule? There is no longer a
link to it at homepage

as in the WOR Hitlist. Ironically, this has happened just as their new
transmitter is inaugurated, with publicity about the value of SW. I
have notified Adrian Sainsbury, so maybe he can get that restored.

** NORTH AMERICA. 6925 USB, Aug 3 at 0309 rock music, S9+10 = to noise

** OKLAHOMA. 27224.53 & 27184.82 approx., AM, August 2 at 1441, Enid
CB pirate relaying 105.5 K288FX translator of K-Love KYLV 88.9 OKC,
the upper one a smidgin stronger at S9+5 than the lower only S9. Both
still going at 2201 recheck but not remeasured (Glenn Hauser, Enid,

** PAKISTAN [non]. 15750, August 2 at 0617, JBA talk at S3/S5 direct.
EiBi shows it`s USAGM`s seldom reported R. Mashaal in Pashto via
THAILAND at 04-07, switching to Kuwait at 07-12, back to Thailand at
12-13. This is the over-specialized service for both sides of the
Paki/Afghani/stan border. Note that USAGM has *two other* ``stations``
in Pashto or partly so, as in WRTH 2024 page 569: VOA Ashna Radio, VOA
Deewa Radio (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri Aug 2 at 2200, token English from SNR, S9+20/30
direct and the other three audible, intro feature to be about the
feminine perspective, great women in history who founded and supported
El Prado museum. 2201.7 news leads with the prisoner exchange. 2209
recheck the feminine feature is underway (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 6165 & 7275, August 2 at 0300 and later chex into UTwente,
again, NO signals from VOT`s final repeat of English hour. Something`s
always erroneous at Emirler. I was wanting to evaluate whether they
had any news, rather than olds about the prisoner swap via Ankara,
since news about that broke apparently after 1230 August 1 when the
first English broadcast is then replayed over and over; as usual on
Thursdays I was too busy finishing WORLD OF RADIO during the 2200
repeat, if it happened to be on the air (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004+, Aug 2 at 2158, VOT not off the air, IS & ID in
English, S9+10 direct but not enough vs noise level. From 2222 into
UTwente when measured S9+40/50, outro of `Weekly Analysis`, music.
2226 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2228 `Turkish Folk Tales` but
cannot devote 100+% attention to try to follow it. 2235 music. 2241
`That`s Why` about the world of genetix where only four letters
account for all the diversity. 2247 ``always-by-your-side`` promo,
music, to chopoff at 2250*! Before any formal s/off or IS - and did

** TURKEY. 7275 & 6165, August 3 at 0305 & 0320 chex, VOT English is
absent again tonight, no signals into UTwente. Something`s always

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2254 monitoring: confirmed Friday
August 2 at 2030 on IRRS via  AM Italia, 1322.994+, S9+5/S8 into
UTwente across Europe. And on WRMI webcast only.

Also confirmed Friday August 2 at 2211 the 2200 on WRMI 9955, S9+10/20
direct vs noise level of S9+10. I sure hope our first weekly SWBC
arrive better elsewhere.

Also confirmed Friday August 2 at 2237 the 2230 on SW Gold Radio,
Germany, 3975.001, S9/S7 into UTwente.

Not confirmed on World FM, New Zealand webcast scheduled at 2205,
because none of the six ``widgets`` on the Listen page would work.

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` check of WBCQs, Aug 2 at 2347 via Maryland
and/or NH SDRs: 7490 -73 Hz = 7489.927, S9+5/15 with FKB. 6160 -71 Hz
- 6159.929, S5/S6 with TOMBS. The lower two are back on the air! Good
omen that a new AAAWWW is imminent rather than a rerun: 5130 -73 Hz =
5129.927, S7/9+5 also with FKB; 3265.142, S6/S7 to JBA, FKB. After
1-minute-warning tone, FKB wraps up and AW speaks before 2400 to
`Chariots of Fire` music, 0000 Aug 3 morphing into usual WTO theme.
One of his first remarx is ``hide the silverware``, so that will cue
us when this become a repeat. Angela is on lofi phone but has a lot to
say this week and more or less leads the all-political conversation.
Muses whether WBCQ be family-friendly. It`s hot in studio. Too many
trux on I-95 and at the rest areas. Everybody buys online rather than
shopping at malls which are in decline. Blames Democrats for economic
ills; anti-abortion. Vs ``Communist creeps``; mentions *rump by name
once so far; also ``our president had his job stolen``; ``we have only
one choice``. Biden and Harris are ``nitwits``. So they remain
delusional tho had not been so explicit for a few weeks.

By now it`s 0021 and I`ve had enough, just as some OTH radar clickery
is audible under. Waterfall shows it centered around 7535. At 0050
finally datestamp as 2 of August, trimulcasting on 7490, 5130, 3265.
0055 some email, ``we get heavy``. Electricity now costs WBCQ 26 cents
per kWH, far too much, originally was about 12c. Prayer and wrapup in
time *not* to run over into Hal Turner`s theme at 0100 and opening!

English instead of Spanish; bilingual, never know when will be which.
Can`t make out any jamming vs storm and line noise (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** VANUATU. 9960, Aug 2 at 0622, RV is still AWOL, nor on 7260 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15080, Aug 3 at 0308, AM carrier of S8/S9. Could it be a
broadcaster? Some intrude into this aero band, but none listed in EiBi
or Aoki or Klingenfuß, nor any utes (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BOLIVIA. 6145, August 1 at 0112, still no signal from R. Betania
into Brasília SDR. It was widely heard for sure on only one UT date,
July 28 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2254)

** CUBA. 6000, August 1 at 0642, JBA carrier at S9+15 equal to noise
level. Maybe remnant of RHC. Only other sked after 0630 is AIR Leh,
which if really on air would not be audible from midday there (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, August 1 at 0648, R. Rebelde is OFF again. Something`s
always wrong at RadioCuba. Good news later for SOLOMONS 5020 (GLenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

Thursday August 1 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, S7/S9 into Brasília SDR.

** VANUATU [and non]. 9960, Aug 1 at 0638, after a reliable spell, R
Vanuatu is gone again from where it had been operating until 0659. Not
heard here on 7260 either and several monitors agree it was not on any
known frequency. Meanwhile, WRMI continued its overrun on 9955, S9 in
Spanish relay of RFI contrary to own schedule (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD
OF RADIO 2254)
