Subject: Re: [WOR] BBC wS on new 9895 Ibbmonitor lists as Tac which is Tashkent I think. Peter W Hansen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: WOR@groups.io <WOR@groups.io> on behalf of Stephen Luce <stvlucetx@sbcglobal.net> Sent: Sunday, September 1, 2024 10:35 AM Subject: Re: [WOR] BBC wS on new 9895 Replying to Glenn’s question: The apparent jamming is high pitched noise. I only hear it on one of the BBCWS South Asia evening frequencies, while the other is clear. Jamming level is at most moderate when present; often it is barely noticeable or not there at all. It is never any “program” type audio such as CNR1 or Firedrake. Anyone figured out where the 9895 signal at 0100 is coming from? Not listed in current HFCC schedules. WTWW doubly reactivated on the 9s |

Also, it is obvious to us that some stations with ``very expensive commercial transmitters`` do NOT achieve accuracy in frequencies - because the humans operating them do not make sure of that. Glenn

The logger is assuming their cheap SDR is more accurate than the output of a very expensive commercial transmitter. Just because it is possible with SDR software does not make it of merit.
