RE - Glenn's log April 13 - 17460 kHz. |
|
Tuesday, April 18 2023
UZBEKISTAN/TURKEY at 16.10, 16.50, 18.40 UT on April 17 noted in 16 meter- band noted in Doha Qatar, Athens Greece: cross checked via web <http://www.denge-welat.org:8002/;stream.mp3> <http://www.denge-welat.org> 16.10 UT 17470.011 kHz aligned, Turkish spy MIT security forces program. S=9+15dB. 17460even Undoubtedly Kurdish radio program 'Denge Welat', probably - rent airtime from Tashkent UZB transmission bcast shortwave center. S=9+15dB also in Qatar SDR unit. According USAGM moni- toring RMS logs: Denge Welat scheduled 03 to 22 UT at present. Checks channels 17450, 17460, 17470, 17480 kHz during the day. 16.50 UT - both programms moved to reverse action 17460.007 kHz aligned, Turkish spy MIT security forces program. S=9+15dB. 17470.003 kHz Undoubtedly Kurdish radio program 'Denge Welat'. 16.54 UT. 18.40 UT - again different usage of these channels 17470.010 kHz aligned, Turkish spy MIT security forces program. S=9+15dB. 17480.009 kHz Undoubtedly Kurdish radio program 'Denge Welat'. 18.57 UT. S=9+30dB (!) much stronger than Turkish MIT channel signal. I am puzzled by the observation that Denge Welat signal of April 17, showed some coverage equality also of the D.W. Tashkent signal with the typical Oddity of MIT Turkey transmission at plus 10 Hertz on the Upper Band side. UZBEKISTAN/TURKEY at 05.50 to 06.05 UT on April 18 noted in 16 meter- band noted in Doha Qatar, Athens Greece Perseus SDR units:
17450.011 kHz aligned, Turkish spy MIT security forces program. S=9+25dB proper signal, at 06.02 - 06.03 UT Turkish National Anthem hymn played. And noted a 2nd transmission string underneath 17449.938 kHz probably a CHN mainland or SOH Taiwan signal in Mandarin. 17469.938 kHz Kurdish radio program 'Denge Welat' noted at 05.54 UT. to web stream denge-welat.org:8002/;stream.mp3 undoubtedly a typical Tashkent center fq oddity. 17485even CHN CRI Kashgar Xinjiang 500 kW power outlet in Arabic at S=9+25dB level heard in Doha Qatar SDR remotedly. [selected SDR options, span 12.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz] (wb df5sx, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews April 17 - 18 ) From: Sent: Friday, April 14, 2023 10:46 PM Subject: Re: [WOR] RE - Glenn's log April 13 - 17460 kHz.
Easy task: D.W. mostly on exact x.000 kHz aligned, TUR TRT Emirler mostly oddly 5, 9, or 11 Hertz distance on upper.flank. Compare Same programm with website player check at <http://www.denge-welat.org:8002/;stream.mp3> <http://www.denge-welat.org> 17460exec kHz aligned, some 10 kHz upwards now – of 17450 before, S=9+15dB here in Ce and WeEUR. Undoubtedly Kurdish radio program 'Denge Welat' probably - rent airtime from Tashkent UZB transmission bcast shortwave center. 73 wb df5sx wwdxc From: Arthur Pozner Sent: Friday, April 14, 2023 10:30 PM To: WOR@groups.io Subject: Re: [WOR] RE - Glenn's log April 13 - 17460 kHz.
Ottoman martial music. They have been playing the same recordings for years ! Both with bits of talk and music, but on poor signals I can`t tell Kurdish from Turkish. Now 17460 is stronger, so probably jammer, and 17470 DW probably via Uzbekistan (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2186)
Hi Glenn, Indeed, "which is which"? April 14, from 1432+ UT, music with a good signal on 17460. Not sure which I was hearing? My audio - https://app.box.com/s/vzzkdqwlv2wa940iqkugirqwbgm9v9z9 . Glenn Hauser logs April 15-16, 2023 |
|
Sunday, April 16 2023
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, UT Sun Apr 16 at 0205, no signal from LRA36 into Argentine or Brazilian SDRs; missed checking it earlier. Was reported by Walt Salmaniw, BC at 0100; presumably started circa 2100 Sat Apr 15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785.009, April 15 at 2211, VOT English is not off the air today, S9+40 into UTwente; 2214 ``Gripping Piles`` but so overmodulated/distorted and horribly accented that I refuse to try to eke out the subject. It`s over already at 2218 music; recheck 2253 s/off as usual citing only 4 other English broadcasts and not in order: 1230, 1830, 2030, 1630. 2255 IS to 2255.7* Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2186 monitoring: confirmed Saturday April 15 at 2230 on WRMIs: 15770, S9+5/15 into UTwente, S6/S8 into Georgia; 5850, S8/S9 into Georgia. Also confirmed UT Sunday April 16 at 0030 on 7780, S7/S9 with storm crashes into Maryland SDR, but *no* noise blast audible first 14 seconds. Into Louisiana SDR, S9/+10 but heavy storm crashes from SE TX to SE IA and Gulf of Mexico. Also confirmed UT Sunday April 16 at 0327 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, S9+18 with heavy storm crashes nearby to MO SDR about 13 minutes into so started close to on time at 0314. Next: 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW 0300vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW [? not last two weeks] 0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035 USB [low power] 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Like our website, a noncommercial service for which financial support is appreciated; thanks this week to Kelley Sprout, Hughesville PA, for a PMO to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA; also address for checks on a US bank One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. 9975, UT Sun April 16 at 0043, no signal from KVOH, nor some later attempts. I never got around to checking last weekend; were they ever on? To be sure, one must try sometime between 00 and 05 UT on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. Say, if they really wanted to be heard somewhat in N & C America, they could run their Zambia transmitters during that idle time period locally overnight. Not that I should give them ideas. However one of the two transmitters there was reported out of order too in April BDXC Communication, the one for 6065 and 11680, leaving only 9680 and 4965. However the latter two are N-D, while 6065 & 11680 would be on 315 degree antenna, just right for NAm beyond WAf. Could they exchange antennas? Not that I should give them ideas! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, April 16 UT, WTWW still missing whenever checked. Dated April 13, George McClintock sent some close-up photos of damaged equipment he has been working on, with captions: ``Harris SW100 really dirty water drained. Clean distilled water added. The meter tells when to change water that cools the tubes --- .2 1/2 to change.`` ``burned power module repair --- The amount of clean up required for this burned up power module to be returned to service. Top. Bottom. Damaged switcher module.`` ``Harris SW100 air flow restricted --- foam was factory used to seal the fan air flow to cool a radiator. The foam deteriorated and blocked the flow of air. They did not notice this problem. Plastic used to accomplish the seal.`` ``WTWW: additional repair work --- The repair job on a previously shown picture, required some additional work. The traces required soldering to bridge the gap. 2 resistors needed to be added and a solder bridge completed. Unfortunately when tested, these 2 transformers turned out to be bad. I previously ordered 8 black transformers and will be replacing the original burned up ones. George McClintock 4-13-2023`` (via Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. April 16 at 0645, not even a JBA carrier from RV on 5040, 7260, 7890 or 11835 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1947 UT April 16 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
