![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Sept 18 at 1508, another Saturday broadcast succeeds from LRA36, good S5-S7 via Brasil SDR: at first I camp on somebody in Pittsburgh, at 1525 from queue get on it myself. Usual stuff: song at first, 1509 ID for original Wednesday program outro with credits, as if off until next Wednesday with `El Lejano Sur`, 1510 Antártida song, 1514 more music; 1544 ``sign-on`` with multi-lingual ID including English to inform us that this is in Spanish. The last language continues to confound: it seems to begin with ``Govorit``, obviously Russian, but ends with ``imnida``, obviously Korean. 1548 Antda song again, YL sign-on with current temps: max -7 C, min -12 C - not too bad; has been colder than that here. Bit of ``Blanco, blanco y más blanco`` tune, historical item about a flight to the South Pole on Sept. 19, 1974; 1625 still, mostly songs; 1649 check, it`s gone already (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** NORTH AMERICA. 6975-USB, Sept 19 at 0008, strong pirate must have just come on, big band music, 0011 Wolverine Radio ID. HFU already reports songs with ``Out`` in their titles. https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,86541.0.html 6960-AM, Sept 19 at 0009, JBA pirate, S3-S4. HFU says WTF Radio Worldwide: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,86538.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. Included in FM DX-pedition report under U S A. ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed UT Saturday September 18 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, VG S9+10 into Maryland SDR. Also confirmed Sat Sept 18 at 1624, the 1600 on WRN webcast to NAm. Also confirmed Sat Sept 18 at 1946 underway on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville MO, VG S9+8 into Warrenton SDR; ending at 2010 so started circa 1941. Next: 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW [new] 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NE 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW; 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; thanks this week to Robert W. Gruska, Glendale NY, for a PMO to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, who says, ``A contribution toward your work producing World of Radio and the weekly DX loggings. Thanks again for all you do to keep the radio community informed of the latest developments covering short wave, medium wave and FM!`` One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130, Sept 18 at 0603 UT tune-in just as ID comes from ``KLEY, 1130-AM and 100.3 FM, Wellington`` Kansas, atop the channel with its ``one watt`` night power, really 250 W day power, but considerable QRM from KWKH et al. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) more below ** U S A. `DX-pedition` about 30 km north of Enid on US 81/64/60, checking AM & FM for anything unusual away from the noise and overload of the city, on caradio, Sept 18, 1752-1850 UT: 630, Sept 18 at 1755 UT, JBA football? and ad/promo mentioning ``Kay-how``: KHOW Denver CO on daytime groundwave; 5 kW, weaker than regular 50 kW 670 KLTT; but 560, 5 kW KLZ not heard with less favorable N/S pattern even tho KWTO MO makes it not either. 850 has JBA signal, could be KOA or KJON TX. Meanwhile nothing from Chicago 670 or 720 which on a good very quiet day can reach here. 1370, Sept 18 at 1752 UT, environmental PSAs, one for earthshare.org. Must be KGNO Dodge City KS at full power now, which I can`t get inside Enid, with desensitization from 1390 KCRC. 1550, Sept 18 at 1753 UT, still can`t confirm KKLE Winfield KS, despite being this much closer to it; JBA signal with sports? presumably KYAL Sapulpa OK. But there is also some CCI, probably KDCC Dodge City KS rather than KMAD Madill OK. Meanwhile sibling to KKLE, 1130 KLEY Wellington KS is still modulating rock loud and clear. 94.3, Sept 18 circa 1830 UT, Enid KLGB-LP is far enough away to be getting some CCI, surely KCVW Kingman KS, 100/100 kW, west of Wichita halfway to Pratt on US 54, a Bott gospel huxter while KLGB is mostly gospel rock. As we pass by it on US81 back into Enid, KLGB overrides many other FM frequencies for a few blox. 100.1, Sept 18 at 1806 UT, ending ONN news, but signal has been alternating with weaker CCI, just like an Esporadic opening, except there isn`t any. And the car is parked immobile. It`s just the turbulent troposphere. Main one soon IDs as ``100.1 KWFX`` and into country music. The CCI may be a stupid ballgame, as Saturday afternoon is full of FB even on non-sports stations breaking music or other talk formats. No likely peripheral fully desportive stations. What could the CCI be? No significant Kansans. In OK, closest KYFM Bartlesville, AC format 25/25 kW; or never logged KYKC Byng - near Ada, country, 50/50 kW. Also translators in Edmond, Chickasha. 1817, fuller ID ``100,000 watts of Spirit Country, 100.1 KWFX``, i.e. omitted CoL, Woodward OK. This too is tough inside Enid with local LPFM on 99.9; and so is 101.1 KWOX Woodward with KGWA translator on 100.9 --- no longer mislisted as silent in the WTFDA FM DB. But here`s another mistake: ``K262CQ KLEY-1130 100.1 WELLINGTON KS USA ADULT CONTEMPORARY 100.3 THE WAVE 0.25 0.25 0.0 0.0 37-14-28 97-24-04`` ! This 100.3 station which relates to the reactivated 1130 is axually filed under 100.1, not 100.3! The channel 262 callsign also goes with 100.3, not with 100.1 like another translator which is a `261. Remotely possible is a frequency change in progress, without being re-called yet. As for the 0.0 and 0.0 meter antenna heights, not really on the ground, but unknown HAAT default all too frequently displayed. 102.9, Sept 18 at 1822 UT, ``Country 102.9``, mother DJ says she brings daughter to work, refers to ``Hutch`` which I guess is localese for Hutchinson KS, but also to callsign KHUT, 99/99 kW. Another one blocked inside Enid, by local 103.1 KOFM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-oceanic JBA MW carrier search, Sept 18 at 0606-0610 UT, not in the order tuned: 684, 711, 774(2), 846, 882, 1098, 1107, 1125, 1305, 1413, 1503(2) (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0023 UT September 19

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CHINA. 10960, Sept 17 at 1451, JBA Chinese with heavy flutter; and 12500, slightly better S7-S9 with flutter, each the only CNR1 jammer signals on their band areas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN. 17855, Sept 17 after 2200, another try to hear RNE English this Friday, but signal direct is VP; 15520 away from us is slightly better; 11940 is OFF again; 11670 VP like 17855. Something`s always nonsensical at Noblejas. But at 2227 came this to the WOR iog: ``17855 --- I was looking forward to hearing a bit of RNE in English. It looks like Radio Taiwan International in Spanish is now occupying the frequency with 20 over S9 signal. Always good to have a chance to work on my Spanish though. Doug White, KA5ETS, Carrboro, NC`` I replied: ``Doug, Are you sure about that? Don`t see how it could happen. I was also trying to listen at 2200, but unusually 17855 was barely audible. 15520 a bit better, 11940 no signal, 11670 VP too. Checking several ENAm remotes after 2315, still something on 17855 but can`t even be sure of language. By now Spain would be // on 11940 if it were on the air, so nothing to compare it with. 11670 after 2300 is Cuba, not Spain. Music 2343 not // Castilian? talk JBA on 17855 into Bonaire. 17855 at 2330 with a timesignal typical of Spain on half-hours. I would not be quick to decide 17855 is gone for season, but whatever it is, certainly almost gone today.`` 17855 is down to a JBA carrier into remotes before 2400 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830, Sept 17 at 2211, VOT English direct is VP but clear of RTTY if tuned in LSB only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2104 monitoring: confirmed new time 0330 UT Friday September 17 on WRMI 5985, S9 into TN remote, need USB/narrow to evade 5980 Cuban jamming, but much better where it`s aimed, S9+5/15 into Bonaire and much stronger than adjacent 5980 jamming, no problem. IRRS had advised that effective immediately, the 7290 SW broadcast would be Friday at 1815 instead of Saturday at 1800. Fri Sept 17, I tune in early via UTwente, hearing the usual weak Chinese including its timesignal at 1800, apparently off around 1805. So no longer an overlap problem with it. About *1808 the IRRS open carrier is on at S8-S9; still gets some splatter from 7275 and/or 7300 but co- and immediate-adjacents are clear of QRM. No Aida or IRRS sign-on, but at 1814:51 cut on rock music in progress, with hard to understand DJ announcements, maybe as CPN? 1824 Radio ?something. Meanwhile at 1821 I confirmed via Noale remote that 918 kHz from Italy was //, no WOR either. I notified IRRS, but no reply yet as to what happened or to reconfirm whether WOR is still supposed to run Fridays at 1815. Something`s always wrong at --- WORLD OF RADIO. I may make a mistake and must correct sooner or later; affiliates fail to broadcast it as scheduled, or cut off part of it. O well. Confirmed, however, Friday Sept 17 at 2030 as scheduled on IRRS via Italia AM 918 kHz, VG S9+27 into nearby Noale SDR. Next: 0130 UT Saturday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 7730 to WNW [new] 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0430] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NE 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW; 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 9455 to WNW [news] 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; thanks this week to Robert W. (7489.9v), UT Sat Sept 18 from 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`, this or other SW frequencies not even checked. Complaints, complaints. WBCQ is being persecuted over free speech by the federal government; Democrats are Communists, Trump is President, etc., etc. Angela`s Angle is about rent payments and landlords, blame the government for the situation. Computer for email is acting up, being hacked right now? 0030 finally datestamp as 17 of September, YOOLF 2021; now from Studio 9 in Deland of Fla, where 7490 is being monitored at S9+40; 93 -- ``7490`` [sic] is pinning the meter, S9+60 or 80. Yes, SuperStition is back on air. With ``Worlds Last Chance and WBCQ Radio programming`` -- [Really, since the Sunday night tests??? which luckily included WOR for once]. Visited TOM on the way ``up`` [to Florida]: the saints, they are blessed and wonderful. Rejects complaints that WBCQ is ``too white``. Allan says he has ``seen and heard demons``, anti-Satan sermon. 0041 asks for emails. Then reads entire article about SW from Radio World by James Careless; Allan interjects ``don`t forget Glenn Hauser, World of Radio`` --- as J.C. never did mention us. 0056 a couple far-right e-mails, the first from one Patrick; 0059 prayer, 0101 into Hal Turner. John Carver`s version: ``Tonight's show started on time on 4790, 6160 and 7490. Allan and Angela in the studio. After quick mic check program starts off with Angela's Angle which is about landlords doubling and tripling rents on apartments and forcing people out of their apartments. Money allotted to pay landlords during the Covid crises never actually made it to the landlords and ended up elsewhere so landlords come up the losers. Quickly turned into an indictment of the communist, socialist Democrats. Then jabs at electric cars, ending of fossil fuels within ten years etc. Allan then announces that they are in the studio in Fla now and that the superstation is working just fine. Then a short sermon from Rev. Al. His words, not mine. Reading of an article from Radio World about the tech of shortwave nowadays at 0042. Reading of emails at 0055. Closing prayer at 0059 and program off at 0101. John, Mid-North Indiana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130, Sept 17 at 2255 UT check, surprise! KLEY Wellington KS after a full week of open carrier day and night, is again filling its dead air with musical modulation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 13530, Sept 17 at 1412, S9+20 steady open carrier where I sometimes hear a CNR1 jammer, but certainly not now. QRMs CODAR, off at 1453 check (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0128 UT September 18

Meanwhile, Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain, informed as early as 0518 UT: ``ANTARCTICA, 15476usb, LRA 36, Radio Nacional Arcángel San Gabriel, Base Esperanza. This of course is not a 9/kHz plan channel, 765 & 774. Possibly some W Hem 770 transmitter mispunched exactly 1 kHz off? Some months ago there was a Cuban on 711, causing confusion with genuine TAs on their correct channel. WRTH lists two of 10 kW on 770, a R. Artemisa and a R. Rebelde. Too weak to get a bearing on it. MW Offsets has nothing more than 19 Hz above 770; the Cubans at .987 and .0015 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 1413 kHz, Sept 15 at 0612, the JBA carrier again, see previous report, maybe Spain; now it`s weaker than 846 presumed Kiritimati, there is no 771, but there are (2) on 837, most likely Canary/Spain (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Sept 15 at 0155 UT, despite high storm noise level from nearby Kansas: 684, 729, 774-, 837, 855, 882, 999, 1044, 1107(2), 1125(2, closer together than the 1107s), 1179, 1305(2), 1485 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2305 UT September 15
