** CUBA. 11845, June 30 at 0658, pulse jamming against nothing by the incompetent and horribly wasteful DentroCuban Jamming Command on a frequency Radio Martí abandoned many years ago and then was only in daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FRANCE. Tnx to RRR for replying to this: ``UNIDENTIFIED. 17755-17760-17765, June 28 at 2216, loud DRMish noise but metering S3, nothing listed now in HFCC, EiBi or Aoki, but CRI in DRM on 17760 at 07-09; RRI also uses 17760 at other times but only AM. After 2300 I try various KiwiSDRs with DRM enabled, but nothing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)`` ``Hi Mr Hauser, That signal was TDF, yesterday at the same time I could hear them. In the last months several DRM tx from TDF at various times and frequencies: 6.010, 6.040 and 6.100 khz at 0000 UTC 9.740, 11.675 at 0600 UTC 17.760 at 2200 UTC Usually programs of half an hour and presents RFI's program. Rafael Rodriguez R., Bogotá D.C.-COLOMBIA`` with Imagen integrada screenshot labeled DEMO TDF. Strange not in HFCC or anywhere; daily? 17755-17760-17765, June 30 at 2207, I try this myself, and there it is, VG into Maryland SDR in DRM mode. In French, not listening for long but seems 100%. Again labeled DEMO TDF, 8.8 kbps; off at 2230*. Even here the embedded DRM sked lax this tho has some other frequencies for TDF (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, Friday June 30 at 2205, token English from SNR after news is interview with a cookbook author: so it`s a good day for me to pay attention to TURKEY instead. First I note this is S9/+10 VG into Maryland SDR which can also hear 15520, 17715 and 11670 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.009, June 30 at 2211, VOT is S9+40/45 into UTwente, VG signal and modulation today. After news, `Weekly Analysis` by some professor whose name and institution I can`t possibly copy; about Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Baltix, NATO OK for Finland but not Sweden without more concessions to Turkey over PKK. Nothing new here. 2216 `Feeling Supreme/The Healing Spring` about preventing gastrointestinal infexions with symptoms such as womiting, diarrhea: start with washing hands frequently. 2224 `TRT always by your side` promo, song. 2227 another song. 2229* dumps off the air! by *2233 back on amid `Did You Know That` by the badaccentedess, something about chestnuts. 2235 song. 2238 another song. 2242 `every hour with you everywhere` promo, song. 2246 another song. 2250 s/off a bit early by the badaccentedess as always jumbled curtailed sked about 4 other English emissions than this one. 2251.5 IS starts. 2256 pause and restart IS now with German IDs interspersed twice a minute. But chopped off air just in time at 2259.5* to avoid an extraneous German hour. And incredibly never heard even once today the 2-minute multilingual ID filler reel. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler and/or awry at Ankara (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2197 monitoring: confirmed first SWBC, Friday June 30 at 1430 on WRMI 9955, S5/S9 direct, no jamming audible. Also confirmed Friday June 30 at 2054 the 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz but not 918 or 207 kHz, S9+10/20 into nearby Noale SDR with a few storm crashes and slight CCI; 2059 ``S/off`` and continues with FSN. Next: 0130 UT Saturday WRMI 5850 to NW 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 2230 UT Saturday WRMI 5850 to NW 2230 UT Saturday WRMI 15770 to NE [& 7730? I remember all the times he helped me with Radio Pakistan info [he was an official monitor in the UK]. Thanks for all your help over the Decades!`` One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds to: woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. I`ve been checking Allan Weiner on Twitter for any hints about whether `AAAWWW` will be live this week, often misleading, but now June 30, disgraced Twitter won`t let me look at his without signing in and establishing my own account. Is this a fluke or a policy change by T or by BCQ? Tsk2 (7490-), UT Sat July 1 at 0000, WBCQ webcast seems like a new one: opening exclamation: ``Hot as hell!`` except most of June has been cool and rainy in northern Maine until some sunshine reached 80 rather than 60. Angela is remote on phone, i.e. back in Florida. Mostly talking about car touring, a fun thing for him, driving a Model T around Vermont with other enthusiasts. This happens every two years by the HCCA - Horseless Carriage Club of America. He`s into the ``brass era`` over 110 years ago. At 0026 I check the SW frequencies into Maryland SDR: 7490 -72 Hz = 7489.928; 6160 -68 Hz = 6159.932; also on: 5130 -22 Hz = 5129.978; and even 3265 + 132 Hz = 3265.132, JBA. By 0048 has drifted down to 3265.112. 0035 takes a phone call but blows her off as ``garbage``. 0036 finally does intro but no datestamp, confirming quadricasting. 0037 call from Leo on a cargo ship in the north Pacific who can`t pick up any of the SW frequencies. And soon another call. 0044, should we get political? Angela still wants to talk about car touring. 0053 reading email. 0058 a few new FRW items. 0059 quick prayer, but running overtime as usual past 0100, plug 4th of July, beyond that not getting political; what a relief; until JIP far-right Hal Turner about a sesquiminute late (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 7260, June 30 at 0650, R. Vanuatu even stronger, S9/+10 and even impinging upon 7255 tuned for no Nigeria; ID in passing, plug about ``emergency broadcasts``, English words mixed in with Bislama; ``Radio Vanuatu ... blong yumi``, island music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0108 UT July 1 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, June 28 at 1814, it`s time for another Wednesday transmission of LRA36 --- but, no signal so far by 1934 into Argentine remote -- one of them that does get plenty else on its waterfall. Nor at final recheck 2046. Maybe Saturday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395, UT Wed June 28 at 0118, RAE in English via System G, WRMI-6 with DX Axuality log items in alfabetical order by country, Algeria, Antarctica, Bolivia, Canada, Congo, Liberia... sound familiar like a report from Manuel Méndez, Spain, and fairly recent, LRA36 as of June 17. At 0124 on to non-DX news headlines. 9455, UT Wed June 28 at 0120, I hear RAE with the same English announcer, but regular non-DX news, a separate episode! In both cases, musicbits inserted between items: god forbid one should have to listen to someone talking for a few minutes with no musical relief! Trouble is, System K on WRMI-5, 9455 is supposed per websked to be in `Legends` at 0000-0200! This is strange. Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 15920 S1/S3, 15760 S4/S6 and 15340 S1/S4, June 28 at 2211-2214, Chinese talk, all CNR1 jammers vs Sound of Hope per EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9535, June 28 at 0623, S8/S9 undermodulated Spanish, unusual for this RHC frequency to be running overtime; anything else? 11760, June 28 at 0627, RHC Spanish overtime instead of English again, S9/+10 with squeal. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KURDISTAN [non]. 17460, June 28 at 2215, JBA S4/S1 music, presumably Recep`s TRT jammer against Dengê Welat; no trace of any other signal below 17500, and not much except Spain above; higher priority than mere VOT, see TURKEY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ROMANIA. 11800, June 28 at 2207, RRI English is detected and on direct at S1/S4 so insufficient, but better than no Turkey neighbor on 11785 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, Wed June 28 at 2200, token English from SNR, previews feature, interview with owner of a LGBTIQ+ bookstore, in today`s preferred initialism, which does start at 2206 after news. S9/S7 VG direct, and also on 15520, 17715 and even JBA 11670 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.009, June 28 at 2203 and 2233 chex, VOT English for us fails to put any signal into UTwente. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U K [non]. 17640, June 28 at 0635, BBCWS in English, interview about elexions, the SSOB at S3/S6, 265 degrees from MADAGASCAR; // weaker 17830 which is 170 degrees from VATICAN. BBCWS typically operates in 1-hour blox per relay, like 06-07; in HFCC, 17640 gets another hour at 07-08 by switching to SAO TOME (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2196 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday June 27 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S7/S9 into UTwente, S9/+10 into Missouri SDR. Also confirmed Wednesday June 28 from 2059:59 on WBCQ 7490 -72 Hz = 7489.928, S7/S9 into Maryland SDR; clock and/or automation must have been reset instead of traditional Play :21 seconds after the hour. Next: 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW [NEW] Thanks this week for generous financial support from Gerald T. Pollard, Raleigh NC, who sent a quarterly seasonal check to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds to: woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, June 28 at 0116, WRNO is again/still AWOL (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 15150, June 28 at 0632, WMLK still active here but JBA instead of blasting in; much weaker than several other 19 mb stations. Must be propagation as still VG into Europe per: ``[bdxc-news] WMLK 15150 kHz, Jun 28, Is this a new frequency? Currently hearing 555 English religious programming with very clear ID at 0700. Very strong signal. David J Morris, Lytchett Matravers, near Poole`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5980 & 5890, Wed June 28 at 0639, WWCR is OFF these frequencies as scheduled weeknights, unlike Tue when there was TOMBS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9265, Wed June 28 at 2210, WINB is JBA in HSNL but I can detect English intonation, not Spanish as claimed on mistimed program schedule, vv to yesterday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 90.1, June 28 at 1455 UT, Radio Kansas, after emotional ``Nimrod`` by Elgar, special fund-raiser to ``buy three new transmitters --- it`s time``. One may get a newly redesigned mug for only $ 50. Well, this old transmitter of KHCC Hutchinson HQ station is still doing very well, completely capturing 90.1 from KUCO on a household radio, with a little help from the troposphere. The others are KHCD 89.5 Salina and KHCT 90.9 Great Bend, seldom heard here. WTFDA shows 100 kW ERP except for 50 on 90.9. Apparently just these with some overlap, no translators: https://radiokansas.com/coverage-area/ Details on the situation: https://radiokansas.com/ R. Kansas is an excellent classical/news station; only wish I could hear both it and KUCO on different frequencies. Tropo overnight also favored BBC News via KHCC instead of KUCO classical. 185 km = 115 stmi to site just east of Hutch. Plenty tropo on the APRS map now, so after 1500 UT June 28, a DTV scan finds BAD signals on RF: 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 20, 21, 26, 28, 31, 34, some of which correlate with Kansas. Unusual is 15 which must be DX QRM to OKC`s KOPX baddenizing it: presumably KSNW, 650 kW, ``3``, NBC for Wichita. The Zenith STB now takes 20/30 seconds to upboot after onturn (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU [and non]. 7260, June 28 at 0642, NO signal from R. Vanuatu, which had been reliable here; nor at 0645 on 7890, 11835 which would appear as harmonix if back on 3945. Anomaly, or another periodic schedule change for no particular reason? No Nigeria either 7255-. Agreeing: ``[bdxc-news] Radio Vanuatu off-air again --- Radio Vanuatu is off-air again.
