Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Aug 26 at 1500-1538, no signal from
LRA36 into Argentine or Uruguayan SDRs; in case it would try on Friday
having failed on Wednesday. But it could be later circa 1800 instead.
No, nothing at 1829 check Friday Aug 26.

Also, LRA36 is specifically mentioned as among 50 stations
participating in a 102nd anniversary of R. Nacional event all weekend
from 23 UT Friday Aug 26 until 0259 UT Monday Aug 29, but doubt the SW
will be continuous for 52 hours, if at all:
https://www.red43.com.ar/nota/2022-8-24-9-6-54-radio-nacional-cumple-102-anos-y-lo-celebra-con-una-transmision-historica

A different version via Arnaldo Slaen, condiglist, says each of 49
stations gets 1 hour each, instead of 50 - not mentioning LRA36, so
deliberately excluding it? But what about the other 3 hours?:

OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6140, Aug 26 at 0643, RHC English is JBA S2/S3 on frequency
clear to accept leapfrog mixing product of 6060 S4/S7 over 6100
S9+10/20 another 40 kHz beyond. Other fundamentals, 6000 & 6165, are
off by now. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Aug 26 at 0627, VON is gone again. Nor any signal
into Canary SDR at 1709; nor 11770- with something in Chinese. With my
yesterday`s report I meant to add: had not axually been able to listen
to VON in English for longtime: sounds well-produced so it`s a shame
they make it so hard to hear (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri Aug 26 at 2200, token English from REE; after
news, 2205 feature by Amy Egan interviewing someone about a museum
collexion of love and personal letters by great artists, staring with
Matisse. VG into Maryland SDR and at 2224 checking same Kiwi on other
frequencies: 15520 & 11940 almost as good; 11670 only S8 still with
squeal. Hasta el lunes (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, Aug 26 at 2201, VOT with VG modulation and S9+45/50
signal into UTwente. 2215.5 from `Review of the Tuerkiyeish Press` to
`Weekly Analysis` written by some professor whose name we can`t
possibly copy, about changes in Erdogan`s policy toward Syria. 2227.5
the multi-lingual ID reel with music background, as most of them have
been forced to utter ``Türkiye``, whatever the language.

Aside from that, it would be an interesting exercise for the
experienced DXer to try to identify each, if not live, then from a
`perfect` recording as could have been captured today. We can ID lots
of languages without speaking or understanding many of them, by their
`sound` and/or key words in IDs for ``this is``, not always literally
translated, e.g. Russian, govorit = speaks. Toughest for us would be
distinguishing among several Turkic languages on TRT, and Slavix.

2233, `Feeling Supreme` theme; BTW, I heard similar music on some US
TV commercial, and wonder what it is, from some produxion-music album?
Subtitle is hard to understand by the accented announcer, but I think
he says ``Healthy Life`` --- this time, natural remedies for the
``disease`` of varicose veins, starting with: #1, apple cider vinegar
[mispronounced ``sih-der``, short I]; #2, sage; #3, hard chestnut?
something. Not at all sure how valid and trustworthy TRT`s health
advice be, but maybe should pay more attention to this topic.

Then mostly music as I switch to direct reception, which is much
inferior, S9 with deep fades to S6. At least there is no RTTY USB.
After s/off, 2255 starts IS; 2256 restarts IS and gets the German ID
out twice, but chopped off the air at 2257.5* as the third one starts
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UKRAINE [non]. (7730), UR1 via WRMI, Aug 26 after 0500, `Ukraine:
Security Issue` copied later from web archive, well-spoken YL,

http://www.nrcu.gov.ua/images/ckeditor/files/files/ENG_NEWS_25_08_22.mp3
including, for Aug 25: entering 7th month of invasion. Railway station
shelled, 25 killed, and more. On Independence Day, 58 settlements
shelled, 189 air raid sirens sounded nationwide during 14 hours, most
yet. Electricity and water out in Zap. region. Cages for U POW trials
by R installed, start date unknown, Sept 15? Occupiers conducting
census in Mariupol, pseudo-referendum, but U blew up HQ of R
occupiers. U armed forces liberated area size of Denmark, 45,000 sq
km. Pres. Biden announced nearly 3 gigadollars in new military aid.
Tennis match benefit for U raised more than megadollar in NY; more
planned at US Open from Aug 29 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2153 monitoring: confirmed first
SWBCs, UT Friday August 26 at 0130 on WRMIs: to Maryland SDR, 7730
S9+10/15; 5850 S7/S9, the lower/latter much better thisaway direct.

Also confirmed UT Friday August 26 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, VP/JBA
direct.

Also confirmed Friday August 26 at 1430 on WRMI 9955, JBA direct, can
barely recognize WOR theme; unusually weak, no jamming. At least it`s
on the air unlike 24 hours ago.

Also confirmed Friday August 26 from 1815.2 on IRRS via AM Italia,
1323 kHz, Villa Estense, S9/+15 atop some CCI music and German from
Romania`s minority service. Until 1844 music and IRRS ID again. Also
on IRRS via Bulgaria 7290 at S9 into UTwente.

Also monitoring just before: 1323 with bit of classical music at 1754,
and never anything on 918 or 207 kHz; 1756 to pop song in English.
1800 IRRS SW sign-on, Feature Story News on 1323. As ever, 7290 does
not cut on until 1800:50 or so, JIP FSN. This was once explained to me
as caused by unavailability or program feed routing from studio to
site a minute earlier than that. 1805 ID and UN news. 1809 music fill.
1811 ``Country Jamboree``; 1814 the DJ says there is half an hour to
go, o yeah? And then ``welcome to the show``, or a different one?
Chopped off at 1815 for IRRS ID and into WOR. 1844 bit of music, IRRS
ID, novelty songs; 1846 DJ as ``Sounds of ---`` something.

Barely missed checking the repeat at 2030 Fri Aug 26 on 1323 only, out
shopping with too-slow checkout line; but probably. Anyone hear it?
Checking 1323 anyway at 2115, weaker music, maybe else. Next:

** U S A. (7489.9v), Aug 27 at 0000, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`, first
interjexion is ``what?!``. Then ``the not-so-jolly roger``, plugging
as the ``last bastion of free speech``; and finally, ``carbon`` near
end of William Tell Overture. Goes right into playing some song about
the good old AM radio, analog days. Sounds like a non-rerun, live from
Florida. Meanwhile, I check Maryland SDR: also // but not synch on
6160-, 5130-, but nothing on 3265+.

By 0009 already, he can`t help but blame Democrats for BCQ needing
money; and FBI for screwing up elexion, huh??? Suspend. And he seems
to be justifying storming of the Capitol. ``Aren`t you glad we haven`t
been on the air for a while, folx?`` He doesn`t like any government
involvement in broadcasting, such as NPR, VOA. Near end someone on
email complains about all the politicking, sorry, he says. Free Radio
Weekly just in but only mentions names of a few stations reported
before prayer and finishing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1010 kHz, Aug 26 at 0615 UT, bigsig where normally nothing
is very dominant at night, ads citing area code 904, ID sounds like
``KNSL`` and FM 92.5, then sports talk. Per new NRC AM Log, this has
to be WJXL, Jaxonvil Beach FL, U4 50/30 kW.

Night and day patterns are very similar from 6-tower array, almost
everything eastward into ocean, hardly anything westward from site W
of Jax closer to Macclenny per radio-locator also with maps.

R-L ``coverage`` maps seem to show coastal/seawater gain to the east,
Day:
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WJXL&service=AM&h=D
Night:
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WJXL&service=AM&h=N

But FCC maps show true nominal radiation patterns are really extremely
direxional eastward.
Day pattern:

https://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/MB/Databases/AM_DA_patterns/24553dcdb4194a28ac60c1b6063ebeb7-100905.pdf
night pattern:

https://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/MB/Databases/AM_DA_patterns/24553dcdb4194a28ac60c1b6063ebeb7-100906.pdf

Anyway, bigsig a kilomile westward has got to be on 30 or even 50 kW
non-direxional. Do they have an STA? Or could it be so out of whack
that it`s direxional westward oppositely?

A reply on the IRCA iog Aug 26: ``Glenn, WJXL has been a big signal in
Central Texas for a while now, I hear them nightly, thanks. James
Niven, Austin, Texas`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, Aug 26 at 0627, for the record, still no signal
from R. Vanuatu X 3 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ALGERIA. 9450, Aug 25 at 0642, S4/S6 too close to 9455 WRMI, ME
music, not Qur`an, on another new frequency from Béchar site; and not
// FRANCE relay still extant on 9620. Ivo Ivanov says 9450 switched to
17600 at 0800/0802 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2153)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Aug 25 at 0632, no signal from VON. On Aug 24 Joe
Ihnat and Jorge Freitas were reporting this on air unusually in local
evening, 1738-1808* instead of 11770-.

7254.935, today Aug 25 am hearing VON on 7255 minus 66/67 Hz into
Canary SDR, 1800 news about Nigeria in English, still past 1815. S7/S9
and noisy, nearest storms in Morocco, also Mauritania, Mali. No QRM.
Well before sundown at receiver, but after SS in Nigeria. Nowhere near
the blasting signal we would get at 0600 when active.
The YL newscaster at first was much easier to understand than the
later speakers. I kept listening but could not really follow the
content. S/N did not improve as the hour went on. At 1830 it was the
Dir-Gen of NBC? plugging the various platforms of VON but unsure if he
included SW. After 1830 there was some 2adjacent QRM from 7265 which
would be CRI Urumqi in Bulgarian, or music. No problem from RRI DRM on
7240-7250. VON chopped off the air abruptly at 1846*. Recheck at 1915
now 7255 bears S9+15/25 of CRI Tuerkiyish from Kunming (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2153)

** TURKEY. 9830, Aug 24 until 2334.5*, VOT extraneous German from 2300

that report (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2153)

** U S A. 920, Aug 25 at 0132-0140 UT, checking for KLMR, Lamar CO,
which should be audible on SSS just before 0145 official sunset in
August when it would switch from 5 kW ND, to 0.5 kW direxional: no
sign of it on DX-398 rotatable. KYFR IA dominates with hymns, but when
nulled only hear sportstalk from KARN AR, and briefly something in
Spanish. In the new NRC AM Log, the only USA SS on 920 are WUBA in
Quántico VA, unlikely; and KYST Texas City [Houston] TX, likely at U4
5/1 kW. So KLMR appears to be really off the air due to water damage
July 23 as notified to FCC. See my previous report (Glenn Hauser, OK,

Glenn Hauser logs August 23-24, 2022  View Printable Version
Thursday, August 25 2022

Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Aug 24 at 1450-1550, NO signal this
Wednesday from LRA36 into Buenos Aires SDR. So maybe will again try to
make-good with an emission on Friday circa 1500 or 1800 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 11710-11725 approx., peaking circa 11719, August 24 at
0125, S9 FMish extremely distorted spurblob, modulation peaks matching
11780 RNA which is S9+20/30; and matched by more of same on the plus
side, approx. 11830-11850, peak about 11842 vs Cuban spurcarrier on
11840 out of 11850, q.v. At 0132 I put R75 in FM mode, and find tuned
to 11842, the Portuguese talk is almost recognizable rather than
nothing but hash in AM mode; but do not find the same on the minus
side circa 11719.

Similar FMish hash is wideband in the 11.9-12.1 MHz range, but have
also heard it when 11780 is off or weak, so evidently something local,
like emanations out of a nearby FM receiver, which would be more
expectable circa typical 10.7 MHz IFs. I have not been able to match
that diffuse source to any local station (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11850, Aug 24 at 0128, RHC is S9+10/20 but JB modulated in
presumed Spanish, also with JBA parasitic carrier on 11840 vs RNA
Brasil, q.v., spurblob. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.994+, Aug 24 at 2200, nothing but whine on big carrier
in English from R. Cairo, into Maryland; and at 2203, S9+35/40 when
measured by UTwente. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 17850.2, Aug 24 at 1747, RFI in French but with terrible
loud chirping as if QRM, but seems to be out of Issoudun itself; does
not interrupt but overlays weaker program modulation. One might also
suspect Noblejas 17855 doing this but it`s not on yet; by 1758 when
REE is on, its IS makes big clangs against 17850. The 17850 signal is
off for a minute at 1759*-*1800, when a beam change from 165 to 160
degrees is scheduled, why? Another 5 degrees less to 155 at 1859-1900
is scheduled, why? and also an antenna change from a 217 to a 207 for
the third hour until 2000. It`s the same before and after 1800,
chirping vs program mod. This could be mistaken for jamming.

Above: direct. At 1847 I check Maryland SDR: still getting chirping
centered about 17850.2, very much below the 17855 splash. Originally
the rate was roughly 4 chirps per second, now down to 2, but slightly
irregular. Goes off at 1859* as expected; *1900 resumes just as
before.

Hey! Is NO ONE paying attention to their own broadcasts at ISS, TDF,
RFI, or MBR? Must have been thus three hours straight, and quite
possibly other times/frequencies from same defective transmitter
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY. 17720, Aug 24 at 1750, Horn-of-Africa music, S2/S4, off by
1800 check. EiBi shows AWR in OO = Oromo? to EAf via D-nauen site from
1730; also 1630-1700 Amharic same. NB: at other dayparts AWR on 17720
via Guam, Madagascar (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KOREA SOUTH [non]. 11880, Aug 24 at 0129 bit of classical music,
0130 ID in AmerEnglish as ``KBS World Radio`` and back into Spanish
hour as relayed from VOA Grimesland NC. VG signal here despite aimed
south, 176 degrees with 250 kW. Would that we could hear KBSWR as well
in English, which they refuse to relay from NC, and insist on trying
direct at 13-14 on 15575 which does not propagate most of the year
over mostly night path, but the antenna cannot run on a lower band
such as 9 MHz. HFCC shows more English at 02-03 & 03-04 on 9580 at 81
degrees, not for S America but only CIRAF 45 = Japan next door. Anyhow
9580 is blocked by Cuba relay of CRI. I could understand the Spanish
service and it might well be worthwhile, but I refuse to do so while
KBSWR won`t serve US in English (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Aug 24 at 0610 check, VON is on (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Wed Aug 24 at 2200, token English from REE, VG here
as well as 15520 and 11940 into Maryland SDR. No competition from
Turkey or Egypt in English, both failures. After the news, 2205 report
from correspondent in Beirut about resurgence in tourism to Lebanon
(beware of explosions!). 2210, Justin Coe recalls that he used to do a
segment translating columnists from major Spanish newspapers, long
before podcasts and not preserved; he stopped 10 or 15 years ago
because of permission issues. Would like to resume it, having run
across a recent column as he was about to recycle El País, by Leila
Guerrerio(sp?) about móbiles = cell phones. Still no permission and
has not been able to reach her, so just talks about it. 2219 Amy Egan
about a jazz pianist whose name I don`t catch (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830+, Aug 24 at 2200, NO signal from VOT English into
UTwente, but a weak synch loch onto +.003+, no doubt China. So I can
listen to simulSpain, q.v., without regrets. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler. But by recheck at 2230 after REE, VOT is
belatedly on with `Wednesday Commentary` - or is it `Weekly`, S9+45/50
into UTwente at +.002+.

IS after 2255 starts interspersing German IDs, except they are no
longer allowed to say ``Die Stimme der Türkei --- rather ``Hier ist
die Stimme Türkiye`` -- no ``der``, so preposition included? 2300
timesignal and keeps going in extraneous German, very brief sign-on
without all the satellite parameters, news starting with Jerusalem,
2315 music break, 2320 a talk feature, as the sleepyrators snooze on
past 2323; skidoo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Confirmed Tuesday August 23 at 2230 on WRMI 9955, S9/+5 into Maryland
KiwiSDR, above lite pulse jamming from Cuba, increasing by 2300
against R. Libertad.

Also confirmed Tuesday August 23 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S7/S9 direct vs
storm noise level.

Also confirmed Wednesday August 24 at 2122, JBA direct on WBCQ 7489.9,
but much better via Maryland SDR at 2128 during Vanuatu clip at -72 Hz
= 7489.928. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

** U S A. 9330, Aug 24 at 1803, NO signal from WBCQ/WLCR; what`s the
matter now? PA neighbors 9275 and 9265 are audible. By 2053 it`s on at
S9+10 about 9330.15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 920, Aug 24 at 0301 UT, ID for Family Radio, KYFR,
Shenandoah-Omaha, hymns. Was not aware they shoot for Omaha but indeed
major lobe goes that way from site barely on the IA side of the MO
frontier, S of S`doah. Radio-locator fringe contour even reaches
Wichita and Yankton. But address from FCC, possibly outdated, is in
Sacramento CA. Maybe that is still the FM station being uplinked on
their satellited network, but NRC AM Log shows address is for FR HQ,
Franklin TN, now a hotbed of gospel-huxterism, Oakland and Okeechobee
long gone. Main QRM is CBS Sports Radio, no doubt KARN Little
Rock, as its only other 920 is El Paso.

The real reason I`m tuning 920 is to not hear KLMR, Lamar CO, which
the latest NRC DX News of Aug 30, published Aug 22, says is among the
stations notifying FCC they are off the air:
``920 KLMR CO Lamar Silent July 23, severe water damage from storm``

Indeed I do not hear it now tho easy in the past as our closest CO in
the SE corner, 418 km = 260 miles city-to-city. Better on 5 kW day
power non-D around SR/SS, while 500 W night aimed SE, not so much ESE
thisaway with a notch almost due east. SR/SS August UT: 1200/0145;
September: 1230/0100.

I then check the website https://www.klmrradio.com/

Nothing on homepage nor disgraced FB about KLMR being off the air!
Including around July 23 tho plenty of weather warnings. Still as of
Aug 23, FB posts dated Aug 21. But listen live link does not connect.
https://player.cloudradionetwork.com/klmram
25/7 also have/had a separately programmed -FM; what about it?

920, another check at midday Aug 24, 1806 UT: JBA carrier detected in
hi line noise level: KYFR, or KLMR?? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, Aug 24 at 0610 check, no signal from R. Vanuatu on
3 x 3945, presumed still off SW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Hauser
** ALGERIA. 17600, Aug 23 at 1909, JBA signal, presumably new activity
from here; nothing much else on band except France 17850 and Spain
17855. Also checked 21450, nothing heard from another RTA as reported
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Aug 23 at 1910, no signal from RHC, first English hour
missing, sometimes alternate 15370 neither. Something`s always wrong
at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Aug 22 at 2200, R. Cairo, no English signal into
UTwente, just rapid clicking noises.

9439.995, Aug 23 at 2126, it`s on at S9+35, but extremely suptorted,
useless. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** FRANCE. 17850, Aug 23 at 1908, French from RFI to CAf, much weaker
than overshadowing 17855 Spain direct to NAm. Such geo/frequencial
adjacency is surely inadvisable and unnecessary; RFI sked 17-20 per
EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALDIVES [non]. 11620, Aug 23 at 1527, presumed Dhivehi and some
music, 1529 s/off in English, did he say KVOM Maldives? As in Voice of
Martyrs Korea, and off 1530* in time for Vatican opening Arabic;
listening via Iceland SDR where it`s poor, and India much better.
Noting frequency offsets but uncertain whether SDRs be correctly
calibrated: I think not. As to secret site for VOMK, Aoki shows
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, but from unusually good reception here, and not
being significantly off-frequency, I doubt that. While Wolfgang
Bueschel is convinced it`s Pao Chung, Taiwan (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA [and non]. 7255 LSB, Aug 23 at 0558, American ham QSO
boldly in progress, complaining about taxes in Alabama, no VON yet,
but 7254.94 cuts on late at *0601 becoming the S9+10/20 BFO, pitching
the hams only slightly offtune; they keep going, as VON Hausa is
undermodulated. Recheck at 0634, all gone already (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 515 MCW kHz, Aug 23 at 1902 UT, PN, 25 watt ND beacon at
PoNca City, is off. When on it has the bestsig of all, day and night
by groundwave, about 79 km = 49 statute miles, city to city. I expect
it to be back, eventually (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Aug 22 at 2150, the REE frequency for N America is
back on, having been absent since at least Aug 17, S9+5/25 direct and
the OSOB, so far in Spanish; but also for Monday 2200 English when
checked via UTwente SDR: 17855 not so good; 15520 very poor; 11940
with good modulation restored; 11670 or rather 11669.992+, with echo,
long-path? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830.001+, Aug 22 at 2202, VOT English is VG S9+40/50 into
UTwente but somewhat undermodulated; also caught until 2256* (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UKRAINE. (7730), `Ukraine: Security Issue` for Aug 22 = day 180:
http://ukr.radio/images/ckeditor/files/files/ENG_NEWS_22_08_22.mp3
including: missile fired from Black Sea region: Over past day, Russia
lost 7 tanx, helicopter, 4 air defense systems. 9 Russian drones
destroyed. Prepared for 24 August, be especially vigilant for
Independence Day. Mariupol show-trials of POWs, absolutely disgusting.
U shall not tolerate mistreatment of heroes. Metal cages assembled in
theater. World vs Russia case of genocide at UN International Court of
Justice. R accuses U of genocide, justifying aggression. Forbes
Ukraine magazine lists 30 under 30 outstanding people. 20,000 Starlink
terminals received from Musk company for internet access (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28289.3 kHz CW, Aug 23 at 1903, AL AL DE WJ5O/B, beacon at
Troy AL is the OSOB, sporadic E barely accomplishing this much, from
the proprietor of the 10m list of hundreds of others, 99.99? % never
heard. I thought this was on the + side of 28290 but did not try to
measure (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2151 monitoring: ``From: Richard

WORLD OF RADIO 2152 monitoring:: confirmed UT Tuesday August 23 at
0030 on WRMI 9395, S9/+10 into Maryland SDR; after a few extraneous
words intruding between WRMI ID and WOR. Next:

2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba]
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW

** U S A. 15670-15675-15680, Aug 23 at 1453, WINB DRM on new hybrid
frequency, before resuming 15745-15750-15755 at 1500. Only poor signal
direct. After 1500 I try to monitor it via SDRs in PEI, Maine, and
Iceland but keep getting error messages (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Aug 23 before 0559, no signal detectable from R.
Vanuatu; while VON not yet up on 7255, but splash from 7265 French.
11835, no signal at 0635. So remains AWOL. However, Harold Sellers, BC
reported it on 11835, Aug 22 beginning to fade in at 0804 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
