Glenn Hauser logs January 20-21, 2026  View Printable Version
Thursday, January 22 2026

Logs
** ARGENTINA [non]. 9455, Tue Jan 20 at 2300, this WRMI the only one
not on the air as I am about to check whether RAE Portuguese relay
would yet again repeat the 3-year-old `Atualidade DX` program. Jeff
White tells me WRMI takes feeds direct from Bs. As.; so if outdated
material airs, ask RAE about it. I already emailed Arnaldo Slaen but
no reply (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 9900, Jan 21 at 2320, ``Chung-kuo`` this & that with echo,
so short + long path from Dongfang, Hainan CNR1 jammer site per Aoki
during 22-24 blockage of RTI; no second audio to be heard (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Jan 21 at 2316, RHC S9+20 of windhowl only; while
11880 is S9/S6 of nice clean dead air. Somethings always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 28340 USB, Jan 20 at 2314, XE3JAW in Mérida working a KP4,
Francisco in Spanish. QRZ.com: ``XE3JAW Mexico flag Mexico, José
Antonio Fragoso Wade, calle 23B No. 243 Col. Vergel 2, Merida 97173,
Mexico`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6960 AM, Jan 21 at 2302, piratemusic S9/+10, also at
2321 retune just before it chops off, then another/same? station found
on 6950 AM. Such behavior typical of Mix Radio International, and
that`s what it is per:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,157416.0.html
First reported at 1828 on 6950, later 6960. Obviously unconcerned
about giving the feds plenty of time to track them down (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 5140 USB, Jan 21 at 1500 UT, another Wednesday
so time for another Oklahoma Emergency Ops net, but nothing. Oh,
starts late at 1501, YL NCS WSHM692 counts 12345, 54321 then roll
call, each call twice fonetikaly but poor reception makes many not
certain:
WQYW443, where?;
WQZT582, Broken Arrow, answers, no traffic;
WQSY836, EOC, where?;
WNPV700, Durant EOC, Bill ans, no traffic;
KNGR728, Pontotoc county, answers;
WPFY721, Seminole EOC, Ernie answers; was NCS last week, or WPFY731?
WNBM839, Stillwater EOC;
WNBE830, Missouri state EOC, Jefferson City, Mike answers.

Compare to my report Jan 14: some called there are not even called
this week. Complete at 1507, asks for late checkins? One, JBA, then
terminating net till next week.

At 1508, WPFY721 calls WNBE830, making an early check-in to the
Missouri net which starts at 1530; discuss coming winter weather
warnings in both states. WNPV700 Durant also heard again until 1511.

Did not check 5140-USB for Missouri net at 1530, but at 1535, NCS
WNBE830 securing net, this one on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Enid unlicensed broadcasters chex Jan 21: at 2112 UT
downtown, 95.1 still on with dead air in $ tereo; and 93.1 is back on
with dead air, but now mono. Notably shorter range than 95.1.

Also 1680 AM, Jan 21 at 2121 UT, Virtual DJ Radio ID amid pop music,
peaking around junxion of US81 and US412 in S central Enid (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PANAMA. 28450 USB, Jan 20 at 2315, HPIELV calling CQDX in English.
QRZ.com: ``HP1ELV Panama flag Panama, Edgar Labrador Viane, Don Bosco,
Juan Diaz, Via Tocumen, Casa #1104, Calle#3, Ave#2, PANAMA zip 0837
Zip 0837 , Panama`` - and never mind all those accents, so it is
Pah-NAH-mah? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PANAMA. 28282 CW, Jan 20 at 2318, VVV HP1DCP/B. WGB list: ``28282.0
HP1DCP - Panama City PNR FJ09gb - #0 (21 Sep 2025) Note: VVV + ID +
grid 5" off`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PERU. 28455 USB, Jan 20 at 2258, OA4AKC calling CQDX. Matching
entry in DXCluster/Heat cleared up uncertainty about final letter;
QRZ.com: ``OA4AKC Peru flag Peru, Sebastian "Sebastian" Cisneros, Las
Acacias 734 Departamento 202, Miraflores, Lima, li 15074, Peru``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 12030, Wed Jan 21 at 2313, REE deadair in English toward ME,
S5/S8 direct --- something`s notright at Noblejas; while 9690 has been
in tokEnglish since 2300, but only S9+10/20 direct and noisy, not
really easily listenable this deep into N America. At 2314, 17715 for
SAm is JBA, and 17755 for Africa JBA carrier (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5959.998, Jan 20 at 2256, no signal direct from VOT,
nor at 2309; but at 2322 JBA carrier, Chinese? At 2340 into UTwente
when measured, JBA not VOT, too close to accurate frequency, no doubt
its competitor PBS Xinjiang, Urumqi in Chinese nominally from 2310 per
Aoki, i.e. East Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom cultural
genocide against Uighurs and other Moslems. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non non]. 5960.002, Jan 21 at 2301, VOT not off the air,
S9+10/20 direct opening English, but insufficient. At 2350 into
UTwente when measured, S9+10/25 sufficient, song, 2353 s/off as if
1330 on 13635, something`s always awry at Ankara. 2354 IS & ID, 2356
restart IS with German IDs. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler.
Off by 2357* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28218 CW, Jan 21 at 2303, EEEEE DE WA1LAD/B, long pause.
Axually copied as VA1LAD/B but per WGB list must have been this:
``28217.5 WA1LAD/B - West Warwick RI USA FN41fq - #0 (29 Nov 2025)
Note: de ID only + eee + K`` - QRZ.com: ``WA1LAD USA flag USA, GILBERT
D "Gil" WOODSIDE, III, 285 3rd Ave, Warwick, RI 02888, USA`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28263 CW, Jan 21 at 2304, E10 DE WB2VVV/B. Axually copied as
WD2--- but in WGB list: ``28263.5 WB2VVV/B - Foster RI USA FN41cr - #0
(26 Nov 2025) Note: ID + grid + EEE - Pwr 1 Watt to a Horizontal
Polarization Omni Ant.`` - QRZ.com: ``WB2VVV USA flag USA, JOHN C
"Chris" FAGAS, 57 KENNEDY ROAD, FOSTER, RI 02825 USA -- a 28.2635 MHz
Beacon operating from FN41cr with 1 Watt to a Horizontal Polarization
Omni Antenna. Beacon reports are both welcomed and encouraged!``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28269 CW, Jan 21 at 2305, AA1TT/B. WGB list: ``28269.0
AA1TT/B Claremont NH USA FN33ur - #0 (10 Nov 2025) Note: De + ID +
grid + EEE - Pwr 5w`` - QRZ.com: ``AA1TT USA flag USA, BILLY R
MICHAUD, 153A CAT HOLE ROAD, CLAREMONT, NH 03743-4321, USA`` -
QRZ.com: ``If you would like beacon information (28.269)
or would like to give a reception report, (Reports are greatly
appreciated, both sky wave & ground wave) Please check:
http://www.wx1nh.us (Links on the left)`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28282+. Jan 21 at 2306, VVV DE KW1RF/B. WGB list: ``28282.3
KW1RF/B - Preston CT USA FN41an - #0/1 (24 Dec 2025) Note: VVV de ID +
grid - 1/4 wave vertical 5w`` - QRZ.com: ``KW1RF USA flag USA,
NATHANIEL A LEE, Preston Contest And DX Society, 136 Parks Rd,
Preston, CT 06365, USA -- Jan 1, 2024, on the air with a 10m CW beacon
on 28.282.3 MHz, 3W to a quarter-wave ground mounted vertical`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2330 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday
January 20 at 2100 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323, S9+12 into nearby
Noale SDR.

Not confirmed UT Wednesday January 21 at 0030 on SW Radio Gold,
Germany, 3975: no signals into UTwente, Bedford, Carlow, or Noale;
possibly still on air with horrible propagation.

Confirmed UT Wednesday January 21 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9+12 direct.

Also confirmed Wednesday January 21 at 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany,
3975, not into UTwente, but longer skip into Bedford UK SDR S9/+10.

Also confirmed Wednesday January 21 at 2100 on WBCQ, 7490 -11 Hz into
Maryland remote, immediately following `The Planet` IS & ID as if just
signing on instead of preceded by TOMBS. 7490 sked still shows
long-gone `Pirate Joe Extravaganzo` during previous hour. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW ;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

As a noncommercial public service program, financial support
appreciated. Thanks this week to Terry Colgan of Texas Radio SW for a
contribution via PayPal to woradio at yahoo.com, and says, ``Thanks
for another year of dedication to keeping listeners and DXers
up to date on the state of shortwave radio.``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7730, Jan 20 at 2302, checking all WRMI frequencies for
absences, very weak tonal language, else? No, at 2311 it`s SMTV,
Supreme Master TV cult, mainly in English but segments in Chinese et
al. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9455, Jan 21 at 2300, no RAE relay on Wed, rather VORW Radio
International, VG signal WRMI thisaway direct. This is another rough
start, ``Welcome to Encore ---`` then cut to VORW (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 15770, Jan 21 at 2315, Polish RES via WRMI the Only Signal
On Band! as I scan all the way up from 15000 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1490, Jan 21 at 0701 UT, ``Top 20 in Fayetteville`` atop the
GY pile, and then ESPN mentioned. Arkansas? There are two 1490s in AR,
neither near Fayetteville. There *is* a 1490 in far Fayetteville NC,
WAZZ with AC/CHR format, which would be a great catch; and the ESPN
mention could have been some other station. Radio-locator shows WAZZ
with Top-40 format = 2 x 20; no website to see if `Top 20` be a thing
with them. NRC AM log also has a sort by city, showing one more
Fayetteville, in TN, but only 1240 WEKR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1560, Jan 21 at 0700 UT, caught partial ID as ``94.1 FM``
and into Town Hall News. The only fit in the NRC AM Log is: KTUI
Sullivan MO U1 1000/25 watts // K231CO 94.1 ``Talk 1560 AM and 94.1
FM``. Sullivan is SW of St Louis, closer to Cuba MO (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 91.5, Jan 20 at 2022 UT, ``Smile FM 91-5`` non-ID on
caradio. It`s this station, always fringeally audible here, still
with previous name in WTFDA FMDB:

KSNS 91.5 MEDICINE LODGE KS CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN KEEP SINGING NEW
SONGS" 83614 0.0 96.0 kWV 0.0 141.0 37-14-02 98-39-55 A4EC
KSNS

Searching on SMILE in slogan field gets 25 stations, mostly
low-powered or translators in Michigan:

CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN
SMILE FM
MICHIGAN'S POSITIVE HITS

except for one each in OH and AR - not this one in KS. A change I
first noted several months ago. KSNS on radio-locator.com leads to:
https://www.krejksns.org/

``KREJ 101.7 FM
Keeping Ready Expecting Jesus
KSNS 91.5 FM
Keep Singing New Songs

KREJ and KSNS are listener supported Christian radio stations
operating from Medicine Lodge, Kansas and serving south central Kansas
and northwest Oklahoma. KREJ carries teaching programs, drama, local
worship services, and a variety of Christian music. It operates on
101.7 FM at 50,000 watts. KSNS broadcasts contemporary Christian music
on 91.5 FM at 96,000 watts. Area volunteers are an important part of
both stations.

New Owner! The FCC approved the sale of KREJ and KSNS to Smile FM on
May 28, and the sale was completed soon after that.

Ed C., with Larry Martin’s help, has fixed the distortion and buzzing
that has plagued the KREJ signal for several months. Also, they have
switched KREJ and KSNS back to their original frequencies. KREJ
programming is now broadcast on 101.7 FM and KSNS programming is on
91.5 FM. Plus, KSNS is now using Smile FM programming. Visit Smile FM
to learn about our new owner and donate to support Christian radio in
south central Kansas!``

https://smile.fm/about/stations.asp
has a map blanketing the Lower Thumb, and:
``Also heard on:
88.5 Sandusky, OH
88.5 Monticello, AR
89.3 Dade City, FL
91.5 Medicine Lodge, KS
95.5 Clarksdale, MS
97.9 Cleveland, TN
103.3 Toledo, OH``

Glenn Hauser logs January +19-20, 2026  View Printable Version
Tuesday, January 20 2026

Logs
** COLOMBIA. From Arctic Radio Club mv-eko Jan 19, logs corresponding
to my off-frequency carrier DX:

``1100 2.1 0300 HJAT Caracol R, Barranquilla har ”spårat ur”. Kändes
igen på Caracols juljingel
(1100,284) JE = Jan Edh, Hudiksvall – lyssnar-QTH i Fredriksfors.
NetSDR. Just nu är det 285 som används i
stort sett hela tiden.

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 670, Jan 20 at 0736 UT, Cuban music capturing from
WSCR; Rebelde, of course, as // 5025 which happens to be not only on
the air now but modulating. WRTH 2026 has a dozen Rebeldes on 670, two
of them 50 kW. Under non-auroral condx, WSCR owns 670 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** IRAN [non]. CORREXION: not 13784.986 but should be 13754.986 -
misread my own original scribble: 13754.986, Jan 13 at 1624, talk
presumed Persian and music bits, S8/S9 with fading into UTwente, no
jamming audible, 1630 R. Farda ID in passing. Almost faded out by
1640. Contradictory schedules have emerged since my last report, but
here it is now, presumably via offfrequency UAE site. Own website
claims 13765, not 13755:
https://www.radiofarda.com/a/28949345.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2330 monitoring: confirmed Monday
January 19 at 2040 the 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3974.986, JBA
into UTwente, further offfrequency than usual; also JBA into Bedford
UK SDR; somewhat better into Noale, Italy, SDR, S7/S9 but noisy.

Also confirmed UT Tuesday January 20 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9 into S
Texas SDR.

Also confirmed Tuesday January 20 at 1402 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S9+10
direct.

Also confirmed Tuesday January 20 at 1516 the 1500 on WRMI 9955, S8/S9
direct. Next:

2100 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;
0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;

** U S A. Major geomag storm affecting propagation: Jan 19 at 2212,
17525 WMLK has heavy Doppler flutter, S9/+10; 17790 & 15770 WRMIs also
heavy; 13845 WWCR some Dfl; but 13570 R Marti, and at 2218 11880,
S9+20 deadair from RHC without Doppler flutter (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 9395, Mon Jan 19 at 2220, `On the Media` S9+20/30 via WRMI
with funding credits, break for announcement about experimental SW
segment on WRMI, for Season 2 of `Divided Dial` inviting SWLs to send
voice messages, and we hear a few, from Todd, someone and Lynn. 2223
back to show about Epstein, DOJ, Dan Bongino, etc. Refers to events on
days of week like Wednesday, Thursday as if a new weekly show. Suspect
it`s really *still* an old episode, and indeed I hear exactly the same
thing when I monitor the *only* OTM on the WRMI server, dated March 1,
2025! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 910 kHz, Jan 20 at 0730 UT, BBC news. Surely WSUI Iowa City,
which used to be a WORLD OF RADIO affiliate. The only NPR station on
910, and no Canadians. Program sked shows indeed with BBCWS overnight.
Seldom heard here. U2 5/4 kW. Night pattern has notch to the SSW but
minor lobe to SW:
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WSUI&service=AM&h=N
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 980 kHz, Jan 20 at 0731 UT, ``Be Still My Soul`` hymn
solo in English, so not KMBZ with `C2CAM`, during auroral conditions.
Nothing to south but maybe WYFN Nashville, less unlikely than a few
other RELs listed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9455 and ALL other WRMI frequencies are OFF, January 18 at
2330. On FB at 2330 Jan 18: ``WRMI Radio Miami International 1h · 2200
UTC Sunday January 18: In case you are not able to hear WRMI at the
moment, we have a power outage, probably due to the cold weather in
our area. Please stand by. We'll be back as soon as electrical power
is restored. Our live stream may be back sooner.``

``If you take a look at: https://www.fplmaps.com/
and type in Okeechobee there are 2 outages --- est time back 8 ET or
1045 ET. At 0030 carriers are up but no programming. Tony Pavick``

Most carriers up around 0100 but no modulation: into Georgia SDR at
0057, carrier appears to jump around, 7783, 7778, etc., or is that
only the SDR?? At 0101 open carriers only: 5850 S9+45, 5950 S9+25/30,
9395 s9+20/25, 9455 S9+30/35, 9955 S9/+10; no 15770 or 17790. By about
0106, 5850 is off again and presumably the others. All are still off
at 0121. By 0200, 5850 is back on; starting at 0218 Japanese song
`Sukiyaki` plays, while 9395 has dead air. Don`t know exactly when but
later in evening at 0541 seems back to normal on 5850, 7570, 7730,
7780, 9395. It must be quite a chore to restart all those transmitters
with scheduled programming in progress (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Jan 19 at 0755, S5/S9 JBM in English, presumed WRNO
extended. I thought it was not on a couple hours earlier? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 780, Jan 19 at 0501 UT, WBBM has a strange whine, not a pure
tone, on USB only. This is frequently the case late at night. Seems to
be self-induced rather than QRM. At 0740, *StarDate* succeeds, but
it`s yesterday`s episode already heard on another station. UT Jan 18,
WBBM had blown right past 0740 with no StarDate (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 880, Jan 19 at 0503 UT, MexMx dominates, thought maybe WIJR
Highland IL, 160 watts at night - but still loops on the PL-660 NW/SE,
so KJOZ Conroe TX again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1180, Jan 19 at 0511 UT, rock, ID as ``--- --- 1180`` - two
words of one syllable each, presumably ``Yacht Rock``, the strange new
name for KZOT Bellevue NE = Omaha, ex- sports format. R. Martí &
multiple Rebelde jammers are not much of a factor here, rather IBOC
noise peaking 1183 from KOTV 1170 Tulsa - but that not always on? or a
problem (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1260, Jan 19 at 0513 UT, Spanish non-ID as ``12-60 AM``;
0552 romantic music; 0601 ``101.9 y 1260, somos ----?``, in QRM. The
FM clinches it as KTAE Elgin TX, U1 1000/144 watts, address in Austin,
named Magia (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1530 kHz, Jan 19 at 0515 UT, Spanish, ``104.9 y 95.1``, so
it`s KZNX Creedmoor TX, near Austin, never mind the inconsequential AM
frequency, U2 10000/220 watts (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 810.60, Jan 19 at 0609, JBA carrier hetting 810.00 WHB
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 2018 UT January 19

UNIDENTIFIED. 1190, Jan 19 at 0557 UT, Spanish, neurological advice,
PSA or infomercial? Probably usual XEPZ Juárez (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Logs
** CANADA. 1290, Jan 18 before and after 0800 UT, South Asian songs,
no ID heard. NRC AM Log does not show any US or Canadian station with
such a format on 1290. However, CFRW Winnipeg has just changed hands
into such a format! See Jon Pearkins` Canadian Radio News, via NRC DX
News Dec 30:

``1290 CFRW MB Winnipeg – First reported back on the air, somewhat
intermittently, with a testing audio loop on December 15 with 1 kW,
going off the air at 1739. Back on the air by the next day with 10 kW,
presumably using their licensed day and night patterns, as Akash, the
new owners, purchased the transmitter site from Bell. And began being
heard in Europe by several DXers. Akash staff is saying that the
station will officially launch in February. Already using the same
‘Connect’ branding/slogan as co-owned CKER-FM Edmonton, AB: “Connect
AM 1290.” Another slogan being heard is “Asli Radio,” which means
“Real Radio” in Punjabi.

On October 16, the CRTC approved the sale of CFRW by Bell to Akash and
granted a license that expires August 31 2031. This contradicts the
October 10 CRTC decision that states “New licences issued after the
publication of this regulatory policy will also receive indefinite
licences.“ With its standard Commercial Radio License, CFRW can
broadcast no more than 19 hours per Broadcast Week of ethnic
programming, defined as not in English, French or Indigenous languages.
There is no restriction on the overnight period, Midnight to 6:00 AM,
as it is not considered part of the Broadcast Week.

CFRW began as CJQM-1470 on November 1, 1963, as a clone of CHQM-1320
in Vancouver BC. But never saw the ratings or advertising success of
CHQM. CJQM had lost one million dollars and, in November 1969, became
“the only radio station in North America ever to go bankrupt” (The
Globe and Mail, Toronto Ontario, February 12, 1970)``

10 kW day and night patterns supposedly restrict signal to the south,
per:
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=CFRW&service=AM&s=F&h=N
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Jan 18 at 0134, RHC windhowl only and 11880 S7 of dead
air. Somethings always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 1050 kHz, Jan 18 at 0808, ``La Ranchera de Monterrey, mil
cincuenta AM``, i.e. XEG. Remember when it aired US gospel huxters
with an address of simply, ``Fort Worth eleven, Texas``? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6932 USB, Jan 18 at 0049, pirate rap S8/S9. It`s Mix
Radio International per
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,157267.0.html
which had been jumping around among 6 different frequencies since 2042
including this one, but not everyone specified which one at which time
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9660.008, Sun Jan 18 at 1728, VOT English S9/+20 into
UTwente, news read by Efsun, hard to understand despite her slow pace.
1744 ``always-by-your-side`` promo. 1745 `Letterbox` with Cemre. It`s
winter in Ankara, buried in snow but schools are still in session,
snowplows at work. How is winter where you are? 1) Jayanta
Chakraborty, India, enjoyed last week`s show on 6125, outrageous
axions by US. 2) Siddartha Papajarjee, India, 9660. How many foreign
tourists? 52.1 million [!] last year. Best places to visit?
Archaeological sites. Cemre plans to visit more of them herself this
year. 3) -- Escobar, Pécs, Hungary. 4) Alan Roe, UK: about T`s UNESCO
world heritage sites: he has visited 10, plans more. Now it`s 1800: 5)
Mr -- Malbock?, Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, BC. 6) and 7)
misdirected letters from USA and Ireland to archbishop/apostolic
nunzio, yet she reads from them! 8) Peter Ng, Malaysia, for Malay at
05 on 17530, exquisite stamps on evelope. Cemre is ``amateur stamp
collector``. 9) Mr Dave ---, Canada. 10) finally, Mr. --- ---
Fernández, Costa Rica. 1808 closing, 1809 theme, then `Geo-Economix
Diary` as of Jan 8, 2026, how foundations have been shaken by US
attack on Venezuela, etc. 1819, multi-lingual ID filler reel (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 385 MCW kHz, Jan 18 at 0736 UT, HO, 50-watt NDB at ``Hossy``
HOt Springs AR, really in Hempwallace per RNA list. I was tuned to 383
USB, as some beacons are more readable when offtuned; trace of
another, probably CNP Chappell NE, really on 383 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2330 monitoring: Confirmed Saturday
January 17 at 2030 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3975, JBA into Bedford
UK SDR, not UTwente.

Also confirmed Saturday January 17 at 2030 on WRN via WRMI 9395, S7/S9
into N9AZZ IL remote.

After Feature Story News at 2059, chopped for ID, WOR 2330 plays
*again* at 2100 on WRMI 9395, presumably not from WRN, altho also on
WRN Europe stream at this time.

Not started by 2030 Saturday January 17 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO: very
difficult to detect via available SDRs; St Louis one has it best but
times out too quickly. JBA at 2121 into KM4RT west TN SDR, so the
2030v may have just started.

Also confirmed Saturday January 17 at 2205 the 2200 on WRMI 9395,
S9/+10 into Maryland SDR - the third time in two hours; OK!

Also confirmed Saturday January 17 at 2230 on WRMI 15770, and 17790,
both S6/S7 direct.

Also confirmed UT Sunday January 18 at 0030 on IRRS SW/NEXUS/IBA/IPAR
webcast.

Also confirmed UT Sunday January 18 the 0415v starting at 0424 on
WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+10/15 into KM4RT west TN SDR.

Also confirmed Sunday January 18 at 0730 on WRN via WRMIs direct: 5850
S9+30/45, 7570 S9+5, 7780 S8/S9, 7730 JBA carrier.

Happened to awaken at 1050 so checked 9510 direct for the 1030 on IRRS
SW: JBA, could be me. But confirmed: ``Here is the following reception
report of World of Radio Via IRRS Milan on SW: 9510 18/1 1054
IRRS-Milan, RO-Tiganesti Px WOR 2330. E 55555. I have heard the
program of Glenn Hauser WORLD OF RADIO 2330. I have attached an audio
clip MP3 of 571 kB. 73 from Tanino Marabello, QTH Treviso, Veneto
(IT), RX: SONY ICF-SW7600G, Antenna: 10m longwire,
https://acquamarina.blogspot.com `` -- Tnx, Tanino! Hard for me to
confirm.

Slept thru the 1130 Sunday on WRN via WRMI 7570, 7780; anyone confirm
those? Next:

2000 UT Sunday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;
2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9455 to NW;
0000 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW;
0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160;
2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2100 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;
0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;

** U S A. 5129.94, Jan 18 at 0056. `Radio TimTron Worldwide` ending,
``stay tuned for `Fred Flintstone` on *7415*``, a long-gone WBCQ
frequency so this RTTWW must also be very old (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Re WBCQ 7490: ``Supposedly off after 0500*`` --- I have no
basis to assert or even predict that this will happen, but if
9330-related revenue stops coming in, their mostly
self-financed-so-far Radio Angela 2.0 on 6160 would be a controllable
expense, and moving some of it to 7490 after hours and shutting off
6160 might actually make sense. Did the transmitter go off after 0516
or continue with something else?`` -- Bill Tilford.

I did not monitor further; let`s hear what happen tonight: 0500 UT
Sunday Jan 18, 7490 goes from `SW Sat Night`, to `The Devil`s
Advocate` instead of turning off as on sked, with T.D.A. shown as 0400
UT Saturdays. Still on at 0526. Not really listening to it; assumed
still the show as introduced. Rather poor reception even inaudible
unto Maryland SDR, but poor into KM4RT TN. I suspect 7490 be
underpowered. Off by next check 0633, probably around 0600.

Bill Tilford: ``So much for Radio Angela 2.0 there. That show makes
The Proud Boys look like McGovern Democrats by comparison`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. ``Glenn: — "880 -- this must be KJOZ Conroe TX".
Format-of-the-Month club. If I'm recalling this correctly, it seems
KJOZ "La Calle" was a moniker for a Latino-Hits type musical slate
targeting the young folks — and before that I seem to recall KJOZ
being Spanish-Religious. I did hear snippets of what sounded like a
SS-Sports presence on 880 a few nights ago, via the Mississippi SDR,
and just assumed it was KJOZ (not WIJR, which seems to be pretty much
pure Regional Mexican). So, either all that, or my imagination is
laboring overtime. 73z de the other G H`` - Greg Hardison (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
