A severe geomagnetic class G4 storm which began April 23rd is still going on today( April 24), Besides some spectacular auroras, it is affecting propagation negatively to quote a phrase. A-index is 66 which is also very bad. Bill Smith, Douglas,MA

A good recovery when I check 15 MHz, and I can now easily hear WWV and WWVH
at 22:45 UTC. Flutter is gone. S8 to S9 signal now, which is still weaker
than normal from Masset. 73, Walt

Glad to hear it wasn't something in the shack, John! The bands are still
severely subdued, although WWV/H are slowly recovering. Looking elsewhere,
it's still pretty feeble into Masset and Victoria. 73, Walt

I thought something was wrong with my listening gear. Everything sounded somewhat distorted and weaker as if the antenna had falllen down or some part failed in the radio.

Haven’t turned it on in a few hours but I suppose it has to be a transitory thing, Walt.

Wow, I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it, but the SW bands
from top to bottom are empty at 20:25 UTC into Masset. I can barely hear
WWV on 10 and 15 MHz, but only just barely. The ham bands are dead. The
AM band, though is doing just fine, so it's not a failure of my Perseus SDR
at least! Now, I wonder how long it'll last! 73, Walt
