Family Broadcasting Corporation, owner of WHRI shortwave in Cypress
Creek, South Carolina, has informed us that WHRI is for sale. The
station has two ABB 500-kilowatt transmitters and one Harris SW-100B
100-kilowatt transmitter, as well as six curtain array antennas.

Here are the technical details:

Transmitters:
(2) ABB SK-55 500 kW
(1) Harris SW-100B 100 kW

Antennas:
TCI 4/4/1 High/Low Band Curtains 152 degrees, slews -30/-15/0/+15/+30
TCI 2/2/.5 High/Low Band Curtains 188 degrees, slews -15/0/+15
TCI 2/2/.5 High/Low Band Curtains 245 degrees, slews -15/0/+15

This week's Programme - First broadcast this coming Saturday by Channel 292 - begins with the piano piece Drammatico by Scriabin, Missa Pro Fidelibus Defunctis by Antoine de Févin, and part of Schumann's String Quartet No.2.
After that, the Andante from the Oboe Concerto in D by Strauss, some Prokofiev, and part of Act lll of Louise by Gustave Charpentier.
The programme ends with part of Weber's Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra.
 
Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if the reception is poor in your location. Easy to find their site with a google search.

Dear friends,

I hope that this email finds you in good health.

Christian and I have been chatting, and, as a result, we have some dates for your diary:

The EDXC Conference, which was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19, has been rearranged, for Friday May 20th to Sunday May 22nd 2022, in Bucharest, at the Mercure Hotel Unirii in Mircea Voda Blvd. 

We will, of course, give you regular updates, following all the  developments with Covid-19 and any travel restrictions etc.


Meanwhile, there will be another EDXC Zoom call on Saturday November 13th at 1500 UTC. It is open to anyone, anywhere, interested in DXing. Contact chrissylb@hotmail.co.uk if you wish to take part.

We are looking for a couple of speakers for the November 13th meeting, so if you would like to share any DX tips, report on recent DXing or have any other suggestions, please let me know.

OHR - Offshore History Radio is a free radio station in The Netherlands
commemorating the golden days of European offshore radio. This program
summarizes the history of Radio Northsea International, Radio Caroline,
Big-L Radio London, Radio City, and many more stations.

Reception reports must be sent directly to the station at
ohrradio@outlook.com TRSW won’t issue an eQSL for the broadcast.
