** ANTARCTICA [non]. Re 12065, BBCWS special June 21, Richard Langley says June 23: ``BBC Mid Winter broadcast --- The BBC has archived the broadcast here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct42r7 I will be archiving my recording of the broadcast as received here in NB on 12065 kHz shortly. -- Richard Langley`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. Correxion: somehow a way-off typo not noticed by anyone before me June 23. RVM NOT on ``9635.318V`` but fixed to: Direct at 0635 June 22: 9673.318V, S6/S9 hetting something weaker on 9675.0, presumably a non-jammer CNR1 Beijing. And now: 9673.26V, June 23 at 0633, RVM, S7/S9 with music wobbling around this way-off frequency from licensed 9665 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2144) ** CHINA. 13920, June 23 at 1424, CNR1 jammer at S5/S7; also at 1429, 13530 S7 vs CODAR; 13130 & 13020 S5/S7 vs unheard Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 13700, June 23 at 1425, RHC S9/+10 here but with FMish spurblobs with F# tone at roughly 13790, 13769, 13629, 13562. Unrelated 13740 fundamental also on S9 but JBM. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2144) ** OKLAHOMA. 90.7, June 23 at 0058 UT, lo-fi NWS severe thunderstorm advisory for Dodge City. 0101 KJIL ads including for Lamar, Colorado. This is one non-commercial?? band channel normally open here, but KJIL is now audible despite heavy ACI from both sides. All this on caradio in hot garage. I am looking for Es but storms in NW OK and SW KS are tropoing a bit. But which KJIL relay on 90.7? WTFDA db shows only KS is 180-watt-V only K214AU Sharon Springs in the NW. Rather, by Jove, this must be OK: KJOV Woodward, 26 kW, 97 m. Then I find other Woodward signals enhanced: 88.1 KWOU, 23.5 kW, 224.1 m, which I would dearly love to hear like this always; 100.1 edging local LP on 99.9, KWFX, 100 kW, 264.5 m. And talk on 92.3 I first guessed KS but likely also Wdwd KMZE. Woodward is only 136 km = 85 statute miles city-to-city from Enid. I continue to resent this small town having local full-power relays of public radio KGOU and classical KUCO, unlike much larger Enid; it helps to be relatively isolated but still culturally attached (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 5010, June 23 at 1210 check when I happen to awaken, JBA carrier only from WRMI aimed south as still on skedgrid with Ukrainian Radio relay at 12-13 except Fridays, despite dropping it at 0500 on 7730. Is it really still on, and if so, with any new programming, including English at first? You can tell if it`s new by the Day # of the war, which on June 24 e.g. would be #121 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2144) ** U S A [and non]. ![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) World of Radio Hitlist Update
Hi Glenn, My latest Hitlist update. https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm 1) France - Atlantic 2000: new addition to list 2) Ukraine - RUR: Added link to the archive of UA Security Issue bulletins (Thx to Glenn Hauser in WOR iog mail list) 3) USA - Texas Radio Shortwave: Added link to new TRSW archive channel on Mixcloud, and link to TRSW Facebook Listener's Group The next update is scheduled for August. Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe ** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, June 22 at 1536, first check for LRA36 this Wednesday: NO signals into three Argentina, one Uruguay and four Brasil SDRs. Could it have come and gone already, or not at all today? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 4924.8, June 22 at 0647, no signal from Tefé, relaying Aparecida or not. That reactivation was only briefly (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 9673.30V, June 22 at 0255, R. Voz Missionária straying further than ever from nominal 9665. Via Campo, Brasil SDR, hard to pinpoint but if tuned to 9673.30, S4/S6, carrier offset fluxuates between +78 and +128 Hz. Then tuned to 9673.40, fluxuates +40 to minus 57 Hz. 0406 recheck same tuner, 9673.30 plus 10 to 26 Hz. Direct at 0635 June 22: 9635.318V, S6/S9 hetting something weaker on 9675.0, presumably a non-jammer CNR1 Beijing. Wolfgang Büschel had reported earlier June 21: ``ZYE890 R. Voz Missionária, Camboriú SC. Web player 9673.290 kHz centered 2306 UT, up 10 to 30 Hertz shift on 9673.300 kHz <https:www.radiovozmissionaria.com.br> And web player via URL https://www.radiovozmissionaria.com.br/radio/?w=janela [selected SDR options, span 12.5 kHz RBW 15.3 Hertz] (wb df5sx, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews June 21)`` Later, June 22 at 1540, finding no Antarctica, my Campo is still tuned to 9673.00, with a good S9+15 of RVM music, +227/243 Hz offset fluxuating less than before (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CANADA [and non]. 6030, June 22 at 0645, some talk JBA under wallofnoise Cuban jamming otherwise against nothing. Seems emphatic and possibly English, as a gospel huxter, but more likely comedian on CFVP Funny 1060. Why in the world doesn`t CKMX get a change to a clearer SW frequency? Such things are unthinkable to domestic oriented broadcasters. On 6030 not only Radio Martí and consequent excessive jamming, but per Aoki also problematic at least during our night hours: CNR1 DRM Beijing, Ethiopia; possibly borderline India, Myanmar (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 13700, June 22 at 1410+, this RHC transmitter is really haywire now; instead of two main spurblobs equally displaced above and below, I`m hearing blobs all over the band coming and going, best recognized by the F# tone when tuned in FM mode even if any recognizable talk modulation lax: and they are very broad/wide so frequencies cited are more approx. than ever: 13792, 13748, 13652, 13602, 13628. Another check at 1453: 13635, 13662, 13730, 13767, 13798, 13829-13832, 13864, 13900. Now fundamental 13700 is S9+10/20. Somethings` always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EGYPT. Re my last reports of no signal from 9440 R. Cairo English, Alan Holder replies on the WOR iog June 22: ``[WOR] Radio Cairo back on air --- I listen out for them every day. The last broadcast in any language was on June 16. It's unusual for them to be off air for such a long period. I sent an e-mail to their Propagation Department on June 21, asking whether they have abandoned short wave. I haven't received a reply yet, but I notice that today they are back again on 9410 at 1600 in Albanian. The distortion is still there accompanied by the usual loud hum. I will listen tonight to see if English reappears at 2115. [did it? missed checking here -gh] The second transmitter (no hum, but severe distortion) which was used for Turkish, Russian and French (9900, 9870 and 9810) has been off air for 7 weeks. [Later, at 1752: The second transmitter on tonight with Turkish at 1700 on 9900 after a long absence. Low level modulation with some distortion as before.] Recently, there were a number of consecutive days when the English programme was heard with perfect audio, but the transmitter hum made listening very tiring. With 9 transmitters on site, they must be able to fire up one of the others, or if not working, they could cannibalize them for spare parts for the two that are operational. It is likely that the technicians lack the expertise to undertake any serious repair work on their ageing transmitters. Alan Holder, G4ZBH, Isle of Wight, U.K.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 6185, June 22 at 0643, no signal from XEPPM --- but had reactivated yesterday. Off now because per Manuel Méndez, Spain, they signed off at 0502, which was the original schedule before they started staying on all night. Misleading ``100 kW`` power refers to day signal on MW 1060 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NIGERIA. 7255-, June 22 at 0644, still no signal from VON. Have not seen any reports of this nor 11770- for some weeks (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SAUDI ARABIA. Re my log on 15170+, Ivan Zelenyi replies June 21 on HCDX: ``These are my little observations of the radio broadcasting of Saudi Arabia: on June 17 from 0400 UT at a frequency of 15170 kHz there was a program “Radio Saudi International” in Urdu. On the same day from 1600 on the frequency of 9885 kHz there was a program “Radio Saudi International” in Urdu. Also “Radio Saudi International” in Indonesian is received on 9675 kHz instead of Turkish programs. I have not heard programs in Pashto, Farsi, Tajik and Uzbek for a long time either`` --- thus it appears that its scheduling is very erratic or there have been major changes as yet not compiled. The 15170 broadcast was supposedly nothing but Arabic Qur`an 0300-0600. WRTH 2022 had Urdu only at 1200-1500 on 13775 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2143 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday June 22 from 2100:21 on WBCQ 7490, S7/S9 with storm crashes, -70 Hz into Maryland SDR = 7489.930; exact time correlated with WWV on same SDR. Direct at 2128, JBA as usual in summer. Next: 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455? to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html For these noncommercial services, voluntary financial support is much appreciated, thanks this week to Joe Caberlin, VE1EJ, Ontario for some US$ to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5950, 4980 & 4975, June 22 at 0648, WRMI-8 and WRMI-4 are off the air --- but not an outage, rather deliberate schedule change per skedgrid now dated June 21: WRMI-4 still shown as 4980 but NO broadcasts for 24 hours; WRMI-8 on 5950 which had been 24h, is now shown 19-04 UT only. There may have been some other reduxions. This leaves TOMBS overnight with ONLY 5800, 5850, 7570, 7780, 9395, 9955 from WRMI; 6160- from WBCQ; 3215, 4840 when not dead air, 5890 from WWCR. Ten frequencies, o my! So hard to choose which ones to avoid. Well, eleven, including the WWCR leapfrog on 5980, several more if including the bonus 9955 spurs. 9455 WRMI still on with SMTV at 0648 but distorted (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 15770, June 22 at 2129, no signal from WRMI-9, which is still scheduled 11-02 UT including VOA Flashpoint Ukraine at 1930 M-F. Elsewhere on 19m band, VOA Grimesland Bambara inbooming at S9+30; NZ 15720 also audible and 15825 WWCR JBA as usual without Es boost; altho K-index is 3. Also as usual, WRMI-7 Radio Africa 21525 is still a JBA carrier at 2124 despite nominal 2100*. Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9275, June 22 at 2136, WMLK S7/S8 with gospel huxter, yawn; 300 kW?? Slightly weaker than 50 kW neighbor WINB 9265 at S6/S9 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130, June 22 at 2122 UT check, KLEY Wellington KS still dead air on groundwave (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 11835, June 22 at 0639, RV S7/S9 with drumming concluding the public-announcements segment, into a song; JBA on 7890, third and second harmonix of 3945 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 10121.30 USB, June 22 at 0655, 2-way contacts. If hams, supposedly only Australia allows phone on this band; but certainly not in English, unrecognized language, so intruders? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2325 UT June 22

![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** ANTARCTICA [non]. All set for the annual BBCWS Midwinter broadcast to Antarctica, June 21 at 2126 tune-in to Woofferton 12065 via LU4AA remote near Buenos Aires. Cuts on at *2129 with tone S9+10 easily overcoming noise level, so I stay here and do not even check the other frequencies as I do not want to miss anything. Initially, all four RX at this Kiwi are tuned to one BBC frequency or another, but the rest go and come.
2130 opening by hostess Cerys Matthws - Welsh, pronounced Care-iss, Calling Antarctica, especially all 32 over-winterers at Rothera station on the Peninsula - pronounced Ráw-dher-a. Interview woman formerly there, about strange dreams; acknowledging other nations` stations, notably Ukrainian. 2133 messages to South Georgia, bit of music, from family voices, at King Edward station and another one. 2135 greeting from an explorer. 2136 bit of Taylor Swift song for SG; greeting in French; limerick in English; heavy French accent in English; unison in English. 2139 Sir David Attenborough assures it`s still sunny in Surrey; a new research ship has been named for him. 2140 ID, msg from Director of British Antarctic Survey, Prof. Jane Francis. 2142 greetings to the 32 at Rothera, from many family members. Details hard to understand over phone, accents, but no doubt the relatives recognise them. Ex-Rotheran tells about research there under ice, where one hears ice cracking, wails of Weddell seals. Ice cliffs are breaking and glaciers receding due to climate change. More family greetings including from kids; 2154 poem; 2157 final message; 2159 music and credits to 2200*. Starting at 2145 and at least thrice I see on the waterfall a JBV diagonal trace upward from 10? to 26 MHz, i.e. an ionosonde. Tnx for another enjoyable special, which no doubt will soon be available online for those who missed it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** BRAZIL. 9670.003, June 21 at 0636, JBA S3 signal, surely R. Voz Missionária finally breaking the 9670 barrier, as no carrier lower to 9665 and nothing else including Channel 292, Germany, normally audible at this hour. John Hudak, Ontario, tells the WOR iog about monitoring RVM extensively several hours previous when it was jumping around all over from just below 9665 to almost 9670 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 13632 approx., June 21 at 1427, RHC spurblob with F# tone out of 13700 transmitter. Also traces about 13769 and 13564. Something`s always wrong at RHC. In previous report, I calculated hypothetical second-order spurs at the wrong intervals from 13700, using the old log instead of the new one. Should have been ``circa 13556 & 13844`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. 6185, June 21 at 0636, XEPPM reactivated with music, S9+10. They had been awaiting a replacement part since last on air May 15 or 16. I had hoped they would build back better, but resumes undermodulation and slightly off-frequency at 6184.97. Believe this is first time back as I have been checking every night. Manuel Méndez, Spain, and Eric Fetters-Walp, Washington were also hearing it earlier this evening. Resumes being the only remaining active SWBC station in México or Central America: we must treasure it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 97.5, June 21 at 0229 UT, ``Tulsa`s Rocklahoma station, 97-5, KMOD``. Per WTFDA, normal slogan is ``Tulsa`s Rock station``, but Rocklahoma music festival is coming Sept 2-4 near Pryor. Run across during bandscan for possible Es DX --- as I did several times June 20/UT 21 spurred by 100+ MHz MUFs here and there per DXMAP, but never any such DX making it here (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2143 monitoring: confirmed UT Tuesday June 21 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+30 into Missouri SDR, at 0047 down to S9+10/20. BUT usual // 9455 playing classic rock music instead! Segués with only one brief nondescript DJ announcement at 0038 mentioning hits from year 1965, program unknown. 0100 switch to SMTV. This is a totally confusing situation. WRMI websked now dated June 18 at top now shows 00-01 on 9455 as deep purple System C, which otherwise pertains to VOA and R. Svoboda relays for/about Ukraine. But the C program grid does not show anything at this hour, rather System G still with WOR on both at 0030 UT Tue and Thu. So same situation presumably applies to same scheduling at 0030 UT Thursdays. Next: 2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba] 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035-USB or 3210-USB 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455? to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html For these noncommercial services, voluntary financial support is much appreciated, thanks this week to Joe Caberlin, VE1EJ, Ontario for some US$ to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 11835, June 21 at 0638, RV music, S5/S8 and JBA on 7890 = third and second harmonix of 3945 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) Happy solstice! ![Hauser](http://www.hard-core-dx.com/images/hcdx/wor.gif) ** CUBA. 5040, June 20 at 0339, on the Maryland remote waterfall tuned to WBCQ 5130v, I notice that this RHC frequency is absent, while 5025 and 4765 are still on, the latter R. Progreso with jazz vs CODAR. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13628 & 13772 approx., June 20 at 1454, the RHC extremely distorted FMish spurblobs out of 13700 are back! The upper one is weaker and intermittent. After a long spell without encountering them, altho not checked every morning. 13700 is only S7+. Better audio tuning FM mode and the traditional tone is also audible, F# above Cmiddle or about 370 Hz. Something`s always wrong at RHC. How long has it been? Searching on a frequency won`t work, since they are never the same from one time to the next. Searching on keyword ``spurblob`` however leads to definite report of January 18, 2022 at 1553 of 13761 & 13638. So pleased with the renewed catches, I do not think to check for weaker second-orders at twice the displacement from 13700, until 1529 when they are all off already. Should have been circa 13577 and 13823 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15230, June 20 at 2149, steady S9 of dead air from RHC; 11850 as well, S6/S7, while 11760 & 9710 modulate. Aoki shows 15230 in a break 1600-2300, and 11850 not until *2200 so that could be excused as a warmup; 11760 also breaking 1800-2200, and 9710 not at all in the tarde. Any RHC ``scheduling`` must be taken as a guess or approximation. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EGYPT. 9440, June 20 at 2204, no R. Cairo English signal into UTwente, nor earlier direct. Is it ever on anymore? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SAUDI ARABIA. 15170.060, June 20 at 0537, S4/S6 of JBA music maybe Qur`an. Only ``15170`` anywhen in EiBi is SBA Holy Qur`an Radio at 0300-0600, but which site not specified, blank. Aoki and WRTH show Riyadh (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9830.007, June 20 at 2218, VOT S9+55 into UTwente, during talk about all the foods which supply magnesium - seems like same script I heard before, but better announcer pronouncing the chemical clearly. Yes, it`s `Healthy Life`, subset of `Feeling Supreme`, outro/intro at 2221, music. 2227, multi-lingual ID reel which seems to be a condensed/quicker version than before. 2234, qualifications for becoming a Tuerkish astronaut candidate. 2246, `Did You Know That` by YL announcer with so thick an accent she has no business on an ISWBC station in English, sorry. Seems to be about a Tuerkish connexion to a conductor of the London Academy of Ottoman Court Orchestra or something like that, who performed in Edinburgh. 2250, song. 2253, sign-off schedule to 2254.5* with a bit of IS. VG modulation as well as VG signal this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2143 monitoring: confirmed Sunday June 19 from 2000.5 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz, S9 but noisy into nearby Noale SDR, and not on 918 or 207 kHz; 1323 carrier reading as minus ~4.4 Hz offset. Followed Brit accent DJ at 1959 closing music show mentioning IRRS. NEXUS-IBA shows it was IPAR with `16 Gwendoline Street` from 1930. WOR 2143 also confirmed Sunday June 19 at 2230 still on WRMI 5950 but not on their schedule, S9 but with pulsing noisy into Knoxville TN SDR, clear S9+15/20 into Athens GA SDR. Also confirmed UT Monday June 20 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9+15/20 into Athens GA SDR. Also confirmed UT Monday June 20 at 0259 on Area 51, started slightly early via WBCQ 6160, carrier offset -61 Hz = 6159.939, S9+15/18 with some splash from 6165 RHC into Maryland SDR; however over there our splash also mars RHC, as two geographically adjacent SW stations refuse to stop being adjacent frequencilly. Next: 0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba] 2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW 1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035-USB or 3210-USB 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 9455 to WNW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html For these noncommercial services, voluntary financial support is much appreciated, thanks this week to Joe Caberlin, VE1EJ, Ontario for some US$ to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5129.978, UT Monday June 20 at 0335, WBCQ Radio Angela, `Concert Hall`, for a while has some ``bubbly`` QRM every few seconds into Maryland SDR, then clears. Opera soon interrupted abruptly for some poetry and other classical music fill until hourtop. Sorry, but during first hour from 0200, I needed to hear `Encore` on WRMI 5950, unfortunately simulscheduled but it was then first (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 21525, June 20 at 2138, once again S4 open carrier, as WRMI-7 Radio Africa transmitter has not been turned off at scheduled 2100*. Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9940, Sunday June 19 at 1723, WTWW active here, as seldom the case, gospel huxter ending, `Set? for Life`, S9+30; 9475 also on with SFAW, as tends to be the case Sundays only. But nothing on 5085 or 5830 which I know could be detected even at midday if active (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9275, June 20 at 1723, WMLK is on for their first official day of reactivation, scheduled 1700-2200. S9+10/25 into Maine SDR, +9 Hz offset; but hardly audible at PEI SDR which is never? any good. Sufficient S9+5/15 into Missouri. Boring talx presumably by dead EJOM himself, but a hymn break at 1852. AOY itself refers to Elder Jacob O Meyer by those initials. He died on April 9, 2010*, so yet another SW station which is back-to-the-past, nothing but a memorial to long-gone gospel huxter who unfortunately left a lot of recorded sermons, à la Brother Scare, Dead Gene Scott, the WJHR guy, Pastor Pete Peters, Tony Alámo, etc., etc., thus achieving a kind of immortality. Not only that, but not bothering to fix/edit ancient recordings when the frequency was ``9475`` as definitely announced at 1728 ID. It was last on 9275 before burning down. Here is one report on the fire of 22 March 2017: https://bclnews.blogspot.com/2017/04/fire-at-wmlk-9275.html?m=1 Some quick research finds PWBR *1991* listing it on *9465* only, for day and night. At other times it may have been on 9475 and 9265. So the Yahweh-God gets some more propaganda, but I doubt identically to that from Station YHWH and various other Yahweh sub-cults. O, what a petty deity they worship; a case of projexion? Another ID at 1858, then `The Open Door to the Living Word`, i.e. who else, EJOM. The WMLK page on disgraced FB does not yet show anything since June 17. And this link goes nowhere: https://wmlkradio.net/ A couple months late, FCC finally gets around to showing A-22 skeds: https://transition.fcc.gov/ib/sand/neg/hf_web/A22FCC01.TXT including: 9275 1700 2200 WMLK 300 53 27,28,39 123456 270322 291022 My NGS globe with geometer shows the 53 degree azimuth crosses the English Channel, Milan, Athens, Medina, so real close to The Holy Land. Reverse across SE USA close to Houston TX. At 1935, UTwente, also right near to the beam, lox onto 9275.006 but at S7/S8, nothing audible except storm crashing. But the K-index is 3. Despite all those previous years of experience, WMLK never seems to have grasped Propagation 101. Over a summer mostly-day path, they need to be on a higher band; and for the projected night path, on a lower band than 15150. Altho it may work somewhat into Europe at midsummer. At 2143 direct, I compare it to other nearby signals: 9275 WMLK, S6/S9. And off at 2204 recheck 9265 WINB, S5/S9 9330 WBCQ, S6/S9 9350 WWCR, S9+50! Also 9980. WWCR always bombs in here, 85 and 90 degree azimuths so directly off back of rhombix with extra lobes 9395 WRMI, S3/S7. So 300 kW WMLK is not so great thisaway. Bethel is so insignificant that it is not indexed in a regular Rand McNally atlas, but we find it between Harrisburg and Allentown, right on I-78, where I believe passersby have reported spotting WMLK. I imagine it would overload victim caradios; and how about the health hazard of all that RF on a busy interstate? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130, June 20 at 2155 UT, dead air as KLEY Wellington KS continues still off its rocker (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING The Graduate In the face of injustice, I turned my head the other way Michael Moore https://www.michaelmoore.com/p/the-graduate This report dispatched at 2357 UT June 20
