** CANADA. 15034 USB, Feb 21 at 1549, still no signal from CHR Trenton
Military. Apparently finally realized it was pointless to keep default
auto-uttering ``no report received``? NO, there it is Feb 21 at
1811-1823, JBA into Maryland SDR, nothing but NRRs, furthermore, stuck
on the same NF/NS/ON sites over & over, both terminal forecasts, and
aviation weather. A bit better into PEI SDR. Later on to AB/MB/BC
locations. ID and timecheck at 1815 for ``1715 zulu`` and 1820 for
``1720``, even their clock is wrong. 2131 recheck, still nothing but
NRRs for Zagreb, Split, Ancona-##, Thule. Will they ever get their act
together? Gross perpetual errors like these could be deadly if any
pilots depend on them (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, Feb 21 at 1548, RHC S8/S9 but JBM music. Something`s
always wrong at RHC. It`s mystifying why this and some other stations
keep turning on a transmitter, yet unable to modulate; is this a
matter of engineers ``just following orders`` while management is
clueless about the result, not even turning on a receiver? (Glenn

** GERMANY [non]. 15215, Feb 21 at 1600, nothing but clickery into
Maryland SDR: like OTH radar but narrowband less than 10 kHz wide.
This is the long traditional time for once-a-year broadcast of Radio
Öömrang, via FRANCE. But no specific advance publicity about it this
year. The clickery took a break at 1606*-*1611 and off again at 1612*.
One unconfirmed report from unknown source said this year it would be
UT Feb 22 at 0100 on 15125 via France, so check for it then if you can
pull away from AAAWWW on WBCQ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 6050.002, Feb 20 at 1945, VOT in Turkish music so
it`s still not TRT World TV soundtrack, S9+20/40 into UTwente, 1946
``with-you-every-hour`` promo, and 1952 first episode of a new
segment, but I could not understand the title, something
``Definitions``? ACI from 6055 French, which is CRI to W Africa via
Kashgar, East Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against

SWBC, Friday February 21 at 1316 the 1300 on WRMI 15770, S9 direct.
WRMI was off the air yesterday for huge FP&L project replacing
transformers, so power supply should be more reliable now.

Surprise: Friday February 21 at 2147, WRMI 9955 with WOR from 2130.
It`s long been on the System B sked, but supposedly only on internet
until *2200 for 9955. Result of the transformer upgrade? Poor
undermodulated direct, but S9+25/35 into Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Friday February 21 at 2148 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.998, S9/S8 into UTwente across Europe. Next:

** U S A. 9330, Feb 20 at 2010, only a JBA carrier from WBCQ/WLCR,
even weaker than 9265 WINB; what`s wrong? Unless it`s totally off and
this be a revived Cuban spy numbers transmitter reactivated at a
totally different time, No other 9330 broadcasters listed around this
time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Feb 21 at 0706-0730 UT, LW bandscan in USB tuning hears
scads of JBA carriers. Noise level must have diminished, but still far
too much to pull many IDs. I think these are genuine, since they are
all on ``even`` kHz, .0 and the NRD 545 is not subject to images from
MW, where we have only 3 local stations anyway. I could spend hours
checking listings and speculating on most likely sources, but won`t.

only a partial FM frequency starting with ``91``. No fits in IRCA
Mexican Log; and there is only one USA 660 SS in NRC AM Log, Oregon

UNIDENTIFIED. 6051.0, Feb 20 at 2057, CWQRM to something on 6050 into
UTwente. This is really uncopied Morse code, not OOK unlike 6001 logs.
Nothing on 6051 in Klingenfuß 2022. 4XZ Israel? 6050 victim would be
Xizang RTV = Tibet, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide; unless Turkey
forgot to turn off its 6050 by 2025 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

that was Feb 15, the 60th anniversary of the Maple Leaf flag - so is
this really from Canada, as few Americans would even be aware of that?

``WRMI Radio Miami International --- Important Notice: On Thursday,
February 20, Florida Power and Light Company will be connecting new
transformers for WRMI. This is the end of a months-long process to
replace the station's original transformers, which date from the late
1970's. The new transformers have been installed, and this should
provide more reliable electrical power and fewer power outages.
However, on February 20 FP&L will have to remove the old transformers
using a crane, and then connect the new transformers to us. This is a
lengthy process requiring a lot of equipment and personnel, so they

equal level, quickly IDing as KRHW. That`s Sikeston MO, U7
5000/1600/CH 5000. U7 means three different direxional antenna
patterns. Normally inaudible at night here, as night pattern is very
tight north/south from SE MO.

hetting 810.00 WHB is back; had not heard it for a few nights since
Feb 15. This is on E/W longwire into NRD 545. But I can also detect it
on handheld D808, in order to DF it tuned to 810 USB: again, approx.
100/280 degrees from Enid, or slightly more clockwise (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2283)

Received`` from Calgary, Cold Lake, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and repeating.
Standard derision. Are any reports ever received now? Those with more
patience may keep listening longer. Meanwhile 10051 USB Gander as
usual funxional including Calgary too. At 1627, no CHR signal on day
frequency 15034 USB; while 15150 WMLK is quite audible, S9+25 (Glenn

** EAST TURKISTAN. I`ve been remiss lately in not denouncing
imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems,
whenever the land of E.T. come up - if you think this exaggerate,

rock and pause for YL ID as ``From the United States of America, Mix
Radio International, Worldwide``, S7 into Maryland SDR. Many more
frequent IDs, such as at 2030. Continuing at rechex 2117, 2158, 2227.
At 2120 I tuned it direct: S7/S8, compared to WEWN 12050 S9+15/20. Tnx

So if they assert to be in USA, we don`t need to vagueize it to NAm?
It`s considered poor form for DXers to try to locate pirates, but I
privately run TDOA and get some totally contradictory results, as
usual (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17755, Wed Feb 19 at 1613, the only REE, S8/9+5, rarely
sufficient direct to here instead of Africa; as 12030 for ME is still
AWOL and WHem channels 9690 & 17715 do not start until 1900 weekdays.
By 2300 for token English, into UTwente we only hear 9690, with 17715
& 17755 presumably not propagating in the nightmiddle. Initial subject
is emergency EU summit conference, tnx to Felodent Drumpf siding with
Putin over ``dictator`` Zelenskyy (Glenn Hauser, OK WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 9660, Feb 19 at 1728, VOT IS with ID in Spanish!
VG S9+20/25 into UTwente. TS at 1730 and s/on English as if it were
1330 on 13635. Somethings always awry at Ankara. Preview of an unnamed
feature, Sports Panorama and Turkish music, into news; 1741 music.
1746 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 1748 music. 1758 about comparative
linguistix, words/concepts which are untranslatable from one language
to another, with many examples, from the journal Science? Did not
catch title of this segment, if any. 1803 music. 1807 Sports Panorama,
yawn. 1815 music. 1821 multi-lingual ID filler reel again! 1823 s/off
as if 1330 on 13635 - something`s always awry at Ankara. 1824 IS.

6050, Feb 19 at 2013, English also confirmed on 1930 emission,
S9+30/45 into UTwente. Did not check the 2130 on 9610; but at 2300,
5960 is absent, and back to its old trix, 9610.003 is still on
instead, at S9+60! into UTwente. No doubt a repeat of 1930 repeat of
1730 repeat of 1330. Stays on 9610+ to 2355.6* chopoff amid IS.

It so happens that at the very same time, 2300 UT Feb 19, PBS Create
channel features a Rick Steves` Europe [sic] episode on Istanbul!
which is much more informative. At least on OETA-3 in OK, repeats at
0300 & 1000 UT Feb 20:

Grand Bazaar and feast like kings with locals at a fisherman's wharf.

WRTH 2025 skips Turkey, International sexion page 588 going from
THAILAND to UKRAINE! WRTH 2024 still had it with Spanish at 1730 on
9495, English on 9660. And indeed simulSpanish is still on 9495. O,
there it is in 2025 WRTH: page 586, Türkiye alfabetized between
Switzerland and Taiwan. I don`t think U-umlaut falls before A even in
German.

As in my previous report, the 2130 & 2300 English broadcasts were back
on Monday Feb 17 but missing again on Tuesday Feb 18; missed checking
at 0400 UT Wednesday. Alan Roe tells me English did occur today Feb 19
at 1330 on 13635, and:

broadcasts are no longer simply relays of TV audio of TRT World. I
listened on Tuesday and also confirmed that the regular English
presenters are back with VOT programming. It seems that the programme
schedule may have changed slightly compared to what was heard before
their hiatus with "Unscripted Twists of Fate" (previously heard on
Wednesdays) and a new programme "The First Quarter of the Millennium".

what`s wrong? WRMI 9395 S6/S8, 9955 S7/S9 but JBM; TOMBS blasting
S9+30 on WTWW 9930, S9+45 on redundant WWCR 9980. Recheck at 1801 into
UTwente, now 9330 is on, S9+10/15 in English, but at 1814 JBA direct

UNIDENTIFIED. 6250, Feb 19 at 0720, weak signal with music? No,
repetitive tones, many ute. This was once the frequency of Radio
Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, last reported in July and November 2017.
6250 also used to be a frequency of S Korean clandestine for the
