Glenn Hauser logs July 12-13, 2022  View Printable Version
Wednesday, July 13 2022

Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Wednesday July 13 from 1455 to 1555,
NEVER any signal from LRA36 into best Argentine SDR, another failure
of scheduled broadcast; but there are blaaps every 7.5 seconds and
irregular clix, OTH radar? none of which would have been serious
obstacles. Better luck on Saturday July 16? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, July 13 at 0630, all these RHCs are
off already in English. You never know which or any will remain after
0600. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** INTERNATIONAL VACUUM. The much-anticipated first images from the
Webb Spacescope: yes, they are impressive and pretty - but we realize
they are the outcome of post-produxion, as no humaneye could ever see
anything like that. We hope to trust that the colorization, converted
from infrared wavelengths, bear some relation to reality; but spare us
all the six-pointed ``stars``, which if not imposed deliberately would
be considered produced by defective optix. Not satisfied with glimpses
on various TV news, I went to the NASA.gov website, which also
prompted me to take a survey: fine, I`ll tell them off! ``Do not close
this window`` --- I did not but it disappeared anyway.

Oops, altho gone from main screen I later find it - but most of the 37
questions are *required multiple-choice, and have nothing to do with
my issue, rather presentation of the website in general, etc.
Nevermind (Glenn Hauser, Terra, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.7 AM, July 12 at 2351, CB pirate relay of 103.1
KOFM Enid during local adstring, S9+10/20. What a bonus for
advertisers! Does KOFM even know or care about this hijacking? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, July 13 at 0501-0507, `Ukraine: Security
Issue` via WRMI. Missed the datestamp but not a repeat of yesterday so
must be new. As for the other UR1 relay:

``Checked yesterday and today, July 12 and 13, WRMI still airing
preacher at 1200 UT on 5010 kHz. There's no introduction to this
program, seems to be joined in progress. Glad to hear they've resumed
the Ukraine program at 0500. Monitored on Ocean Ridge, Florida, remote
SDR. Not readable here directly. Joe Ihnat, Southwestern Pennsylvania,
USA, HCDX`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 245 MCW kHz, July 13 at 0635 UT, FS, ND beacon at
Falls, Sioux, SD, 400 watts, JBA vs somewhat abated storm noise level,
altho common in winter. A bit easier, 248 MCW kHz, 1000 watts of dash
and WG, Winnipeg (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12695.5 CW, July 13 at 0034, KFS, Half Moon Bay, CA, with CQ
and QSX marker over and over. No breaks ever heard past 0057 for axual
contacts. Monitored for convenience via Maryland remote running, but
could have heard direct. This was the MRHS ``Night of Nights`` annual
celebration, as explained:
https://www.radiomarine.org/mrhs-events
There were also KPH CW and RTTY press broadcasts copied and posted by
others to the WOR iog, and hamband activity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2146 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday
July 12 at 2230 on WRMI 9955, S9+5 into Maryland remote and no jamming
audible at first; but storm noise over MD and Blitz all the way from
Nashville to DC, and Pennsylvania to Monticello.

Also confirmed Tuesday July 12 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, S8/S9 into
Maryland with storm crashes. Worse direct, unusable, S5/S8 vs noise
level. Next:

2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 9395 to NNW

Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts:
http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html

For these noncommercial services, voluntary financial support is much
appreciated; thanks this week to Arnold Heiles, Heinerscheid,
Luxembourg: ``Dear Mr. Hauser, Thank you for all the work you are
doing for international DXing community. I wish to support you by
sending you some Euros. I wish you can continue World of Radio as long
as possible. I listen always Saturdays via Satellite Astra 13,2 E on
World Radio Network. Greetings from Luxembourg, yours sincerely,
Arnold Heiles, Heinerscheid``

New WOR 2147 should be ready for download and first broadcasts
early UT Friday by 0130 on WRMIs 5850, 7730 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15770, July 13 at 1952, VOA `Flashpoint: Ukraine` succeeds
via WRMI, program ID between interviews; S9+10 steady into Maryland
SDR, immediately followed at 2000 by gospel huxter at much louder
volume level (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, July 13 at 0624, No signal from WLCR/WBCQ in first
bandscan sweep but a minute later at 0625 it`s on as usual in English.
Maybe break for lightning storms? 9265 WINB also missing (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5890 & 3215, July 13 at 0630, 50% of WWCR are OFF with
TOMBS, but still on: 5935 with TUN/DGS, and 4840 with TOMBS; why?
There had been storms over Nashville (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, July 13 circa 0630, still no signal from RV X3. I
did not think to check 7260 before or after 0600, but others did:

``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain: Strong carrier and some extremely weak
audio detected here in Reinante, NW of Spain, good signal via SDR Kiwi
remote receivers in New Zealand. VANUATU, Radio Vanuatu on air again,
7260, 0521-0612, 13-07, Bislama, English, comments, Island songs, at
0601 hour interval signal news in English, advertisements and more
songs. No change to 3945 at 0559 as usual. At 0705 Vanuatu still
continues on 7260 khz.``

``Manuel - Thanks for the timely alert! Radio Vanuatu (7260) on July
13, from 0702 to 0716 UT, with the news (unreadable); poor to very
poor; nothing on 14520 nor 21780; still on 7260 (ex: 3945) after
0815+. Ron (California)`` Howard (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL [and non]. 9673.9V approx., Tue July 12 at 0630, RVM
unstable around here, higher than usual, not trying to measure more
precisely, but notice *0633 JBA carrier het from 9675. Nothing
scheduled to start circa 0630, but presumably CNR1 Beijing 572 site
supposed to run 2300-1000 except Tuesday siesta 0600-0900 per Aoki
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 5938.458, July 12 at 0720, RVM`s other off-frequency
measured here, facilitated by the absence of 5935 WWCR (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, 6100, 6165, July 12 at 0640, RHC English manages to run
all three for a change tonight. 6000 normally closes by 0600 but not
always. No harmonix or leapfrogs heard now. Something`s always wrong
at RHC. The Other Side to R. Propaganda Cuba:

** EGYPT. 9440, July 11 at 2215, R. Cairo, S9+30/40 into UTwente but
humwhine only in English. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7254.9v, July 12 at 0635, NO signal from VON nor has there
been for several weeks, checked almost every night after 0600; nor
have I seen any other reports about this, nor other possible
frequencies 9690-, 11770-, 15120 being heard at any hours.

It seems a lot of monitors are not alert for stations *missing* from
previous/known activity. Some editors are loathe to publish any *non*
log, as meaningless? Nor has there been wailing and gnashing of teeth
about the loss of another SWBC country like there has been about
Greece. In that case there was some ERT news about a decision to stop
it, but no news from Nigeria one way or the other. Does anyone have
Nigeria/VON contacts to enlighten us about the situation, temporary or
permanent? WRTH 2022 says they have 2 x 250 kW transmitters at Abuja
Lugbe (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830.021, July 11 at 2216, VOT English S9+40 into UTwente,
YL talking about vitamins. Must be `Feeling Supreme` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, July 12 at 0501-0509, UR1 via WRMI with
English `Ukraine: Security Issue`, and current, dated July 11 for Day
138 of Russia`s war; includes latest attax on Kharkiv; Russia still
has 2000 missiles ready to use. After some weeks of no UR1 streaming,
it has resumed and so have the daily WRMI relays, rest of hour in
Ukrainian, S9+5 into Maryland SDR. Also scheduled at 12-13 UT except
Fridays southward on 5010, never checked here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Some 10m hamband beacons in absence of any sporadic E 88+
MHz, July 11; with WJ5O listings.

28217.7?, at 1939, VVV VVV DE K4PAR/B, with long pauses, why? If you
are bothering to beacon at all you might as well fill up the time so

** U S A. 15770, July 11 at 1949, rock music fill instead of VOA
Flashpoint: Ukraine, S5/S6 direct from WRMI. Richard Langley says VOA
streaming has been down. Incredible! Someone had reported FPU as 2030
UT, presumably error as still sked at 1930.

15770, July 12 at 1952 check, now FP:U is running with discussion of
Bucha, S9/+10 into Maryland SDR. 1955 program ID in passing and
interview about the pipeline.

Was any US SW station broadcasting live coverage of the current Jan 6
Committee hearing about the Insurrexion, also just wrapping up at 1958
UT? Too busy hearwatching it on TV, but we know the answer. Free
Speech and Public Service have their limitations! Previous hearings
have already been pointedly avoided by commercial AM & FM radio,
overwhelmingly dedicated to far-right talk agenda, far more important
sports, or music.

At least besides the cable news networx, mainstream TV, ABC, CBS, NBC
and PBS were on it from 1700 UT. For those who missed it, MSNBC panel
will review it all from 0000 UT Wednesday, to repeat at 0400. Two
hours planned for each altho the live hearing, commercial-free, took
three hours with a break of more than nominal ten minutes. It appears
that next week`s hearing will zero in on treason by T**** himself
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. 15770, July 12 at 1445, JBA carrier only from
WRMI, and no other 19mb signals except more than JBA Cuba 15230 &
15140. Just before this, *zero* carriers to be heard on 16m even tho
now we are the dayside. After this, more normal sigs on 22mb. Higher
propagation outwiped by K=5, WWV:

``Geophysical Alert Message
Solar-terrestrial indices for 11 July follow.
Solar flux 161 and estimated planetary A-index 12.
The estimated planetary K-index at 1500 UTC on 12 July was 5.
Space weather for the past 24 hours has been minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level occurred.
Space weather for the next 24 hours is predicted to be minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level are expected.`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5935, 5890, 3215, July 12 at 0637 & 0705, 75% of WWCRs are
OFF, leaving only 4840 with TOMBS. What`s wrong? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CHINA. 17615, July 11 at 0628, S6/S7 JBA Chinese music. Aoki & EiBi
show CRI doubling up during the 06-07 hour: German via Urumqi, EAST
TURKISTAN, and Mandarin via Kunming. I`ve still hearing this and a
number of other 16 mb signals from the dayside in the summer
nightmiddle (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11670, July 11 at 0645, RHC English during mailbag,
overmodulated & distorted on this erroneous frequency not on every
night, S9+10, // 6165 only S9+20/30. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5040, UT Monday July 11 at 0647, RHC still on in Spanish with
last few minutes of `En Contacto`, YL with prop info, i.e. solar flux
and A-index predixions for each day thru August 12; source not clear
but much like the SWPC info from yanqui imperialists that I copy and
post. Brief explanation of OWF = optimum working frequency under some
other name. Closing credits with no mention of Arnaldo Coro Antich,
long version of theme with Morse code embedded until 0651, `En Cía.
del Doctor`. Would have started circa 0635, presumably final repeat of
several Sunday airings starting with 1335, which I have not monitored
in a long time. 0635 Monday is *not* included in wb`s SWL / Media
Programs in English, German & Spanish, just Sun 1335, 2235, Mon 0135
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, July 11 at 1438, S9/+10 of dead air from RHC, but a
minute later comes to life. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 730, July 11 at 0703 song in English, so something
unMexican? No, 0705 ID in Spanish mentioned ``W``, and another song in
English. IRCA Mexican log 2021 shows XEX is now only 60 kW and
supposedly Deportes. I guess it can`t be sports 24/7 or is there a
change? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2146 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
July 10 from 2001 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz only, S9/+15 into
nearby Noale SDR but noisy, after long IRRS ID at 2000.

Missed checking Sunday July 10 at 2230 on WRMI 5950, distracted by FM
DX opening; did anyone hear it?

Confirmed UT Monday July 11 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/9+5 into Maryland
SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday July 11 from 0301 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160
minus 62 Hz = 6159.938 into Maryland SDR, S8/S9+15. JL gotta go by
0300 this biweek. At 0328 ACI from 6155 VOA signing-on: that`s an hour
of Kin/Kin via SAO TOME. BUT, 6165 RHC is absent altho active later.

** U S A. 750, July 11 at 0701 UT, dead air obviously WSB and for next
few minutes rechecked. News hole failure or deliberate Monday morning
maintenance? AM hardly matters to them since they got on FM (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Sporadic E FM DX July 10: much of the day it was working in
SE USA, slightly out of reach to OK. No DX at first check 2019 UT. MUF
patches often drift westward as the day goes on and by 22 UT it seems
to be worth trying despite the 101-degree heat in the shade and at
least that much in the garaged car.

It`s clear that everything is coming from Florida, so in follow-up
research on the WTFDA FM Database, I`m searching only Florida
frequencies. As usual, all on my own caradio, vertical fender antenna
only, no RDS, my own ears only in real time, no recording, no internet
access until later, all times strictly UT, in chrono order. Some
circumstantial; any correxions or ID help welcomed. I don`t count
stations, states or anything and am not in competition. Rather, each
DX log is a potential learning experience. Distances approx.,
city-of-license to Enid, not site to site, from distancefromto.net

Hauser
** BRAZIL. 9673.4/9673.5, jumpy transmitter, July 10 at 0635, RVM ID
in Portuguese, and then in *Spanish* with Brazuguese accent, including
contact address in Camboriú. They also run IDs in English but none
caught lately (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, July 10 at 0009, RHC with a malady I`ve never heard
before. Sounds like someone whispering but with volume turned way up,
unreadable distortion. Some dead air and 0010 resumes; much weaker
6000 seems // as it should be for English now. But 0018 recheck, 6165
is clear with normal mod but in Spanish; 0019 English. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, July 10 at 0627, all four English
RHCs are off already, unusual; nor on 11670. 5040 is still on but in
Spanish. I suppose that led to no Esperanto at 0700 Sunday,
unrechecked then. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 13630 & 13772 approx., July 10 at 1440, spurblobs with F#
tone and minimal musical modulation more audible in AM mode than FM;
out of RHC 13700. Also weaker second-orders circa 13840 & 13560.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.995, July 9 at 2210, R. Cairo is very much on today,
for English to the NW, S9+25/35 into UTwente, but extremely distorted
and totally unlistenable. As ever. But almost on-frequency; that`s
something?

9899.965, July 9 at 2212, UTwente also gets an S9+25/35 signal here,
presumably the other R. Cairo Abis, and it`s clean. Trouble is, just
barely modulated. Somethings` always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.46 AM, July 10 at 1437, country music no doubt from
KOFM 103.1 Enid as relayed by local CB pirate (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830.021, July 9 at 2213, VOT English is certainly on
today, and typically plus 21 Hz into UTwente at S9+35/45; but heavy
humwhine making it very annoying to listen to altho mostly readable,
announcers` accents permitting, if one put up with it. Something`s
always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28204 CW, July 10 at 1434, W0WF repeating ID over and over,
the OSOB but good sporadic E signal under 500 miles per WJ50 roster:
28.204 WØWF * SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI # 20W, VERTICAL (*) Daylight New
16 June 14 --- MUF not quite reaching FM band so I check 10m beacon
band (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2146 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
July 9 ending at 2001.4 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, Missouri, S9+10 into
nearby SDR so must have started about 1932.

Just missed checking 0030 UT Sunday July 10 on WRMI 7780; anyone hear
it?

Confirmed UT Sunday July 10 not starting until 0410 the 0315v on
WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+10/15 but with SSB QRM as there must be some
contest on 160m causing a lot more activity on the `top` band.

Also confirmed Sunday July 10 at 1350 until 1359 on WMRI Europe via
Channel 292, Germany, 9670, S7/S9 into NW Ireland SDR, so started
right on time at 1330. Immediately into Russian, or Ukrainian? Next:

For these noncommercial services, voluntary financial support is much
appreciated; thanks this week to Arnold Heiles, Heinerscheid,
Luxembourg: ``Dear Mr. Hauser, Thank you for all the work you are
doing for international DXing community. I wish to support you by
sending you some Euros. I wish you can continue World of Radio as long
as possible. I listen always Saturdays via Satellite Astra 13,2 E on
World Radio Network. Greetings from Luxembourg, yours sincerely,

Sending cash/banknotes in the mail is discouraged; besides risk of
loss, foreign currency is troublesome and expensive to exchange here
in deep North America. One may contribute via PayPal, not necessarily
in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com

Or by postal money order or check in US funds on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5850, UT Sunday July 10 from 0100, `Encore` classical music
from R. Tumbril, Scotland, via WRMI, listening directly --- until 0132
when suddenly interrupted for partial WRMI ID, and rock music fill for
the rest of the hour! Ditto on // 7730 courtesy System F. So I have no
choice but to hear instead Texas Radio Shortwave unimpeded on another
WRMI, 5950. Try again for the complete Encore from 0232 UT Monday on
5950 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. UT Sunday July 10 both at 0200 on WCLV webcast and affiliate
KUCO at 0300, `Weekend Radio` comedy show repeated last week`s
4th-of-July edition. It appears WCLV and/or Sagebrush Bob are having a
hard time keeping up with things (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6033.74, July 10 at 0629, JBA carrier, maybe trace of
modulation. Unseems local birdie as still there with preamps off
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6070-6090, July 10 at 0626, no wideband DRM? like July 8
at exactly same time, so weak VOA 6080 is unimpeded. What was that?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RCUSB, Saturday July 9, I start listening at
1450 via Argentine remote; LRA36 abruptly cuts on air during song at
*1455.7; 1501 standard canned sign-on including
Spanish/German/English/Korean warning that this is going to be in
Spanish, ``Ciclo Radial 2022 Audaz``. Staff names, 1502.7 Antártida
themesong; 1507.7 ``su compañía`` ID, 1508 song; 1512 YLs seemingly
live greeting originally on Wednesday, as program #10 in the 2022
Esperanza Audaz cycle, ``bajo el cielo más austral``.

This conflicts with a sporadic E FM DX opening from the west I have
been missing, so I move to the caradio, while blotting a potentially
``open`` but unlikely frequency, 90.7 with my RF feeder from the
computer; and check it occasionally while failing to ID any FM DX in
bandscanning.

1529, LRA36 still going with this-week-in-history, July 7 something
about condors. But it`s OFF already at next check 1534 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 9673.80 / 9873.86, July 9 at 0621, RVM praise music jumping
around these two spots as I try to measure it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13670 & 13810, July 8 at 0157, clicking like modulation peak
spikes, and since they are 70 kHz equidistant from 13740, I conclude
they be produced by that RHC transmitter. Unlike the spurblobs in the
mornings from 13700: these with no F# tone, no FM, no mush.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13629 & 13772 approx., July 9 at 1436, FMish spurblobs from
13700 RHC, during extremely distorted music, F# tone, S5/S8 the lower
and S5/S6 the upper while fundamental is S7/S9. Also can detect weaker
second-orders circa 13553 & 13842 about S4/S5. Something`s always
wrong at RHC. Someone reported these to one or two decimal places but
for me they are too broad and amorphous to pinpoint. Perhaps SDR in
Synch mode could display more precise frequencies, which I have never
tried. In FM mode here the lower one covered at least 13550-13556 so
one could only guess the middle (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9440, July 8 at 2151 and 2220 chex, instead of huge
unreadable mess, no signal at all today from R. Cairo in English,
checking at UTwente. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.4 AM, July 8 at 0154 UT, there is country KOFM
103.1 relay again by local CB pirate, steady S9. And again July 9 at
0435 on 27184.46, S9+40, ID as ``My Country 103.1 KOFM`` (Glenn
Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. Bandscanning on caradio for sporadic E FM DX July 9: 92.3
at 1512 UT, KimKomando.com show where a caller thinx it`s afternoon,
still at 1528. I quit car at 1538, but still audible KK sometime after
1600 recheck. May not be skip but I attempt to find a station on 92.3
via:
https://www.komando.com/airtimes/

Yes, this is how the KK 420+ station search is set up. You have to
enter a time and day of week, and specify timezone. So I enter 10 am
Sat in CT, 9 am MT, 8 am PT and for good measure 11 am ET. Each search
displays three stations, no more, no less, which is suspicious,
without their locations, and not a 92.3 among them!

Since this weak signal is pretty steady, I figure it`s only OK, such
as 10.5 kW KMZE Woodward, or Kansas, KKGQ Newton, but that should be
ESPN only. Radio Locator says KMZE has no website, and is ``Power Hits
Z92`` which sure doesn`t sound like a talk format; while WTFDA FM
database says it`s talk/sports.

One may also search KK by zipcode or location so I enter Woodward, and
what do I get? A map of SE PA and Maryland with 6 possible stations
pinpointed! Why have we landed here? There is a tiny 100-population
Woodward in central PA near Lewisburg.

Make it the metropolis of Woodward OK, and finally BINGO, KMZE 92.3
Saturday at 9 am. So if she last more than an hour you won`t get a hit
on the second hour. Come on, KK, internet guruess, you can do better
than that. But KMZE does have a website linked from KimKom:
http://www.z92online.com/ and most of their shows are far-right
extremist nonsense (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 9830, July 8 at 2203, no signal from VOT English to N
America, into UTwente, but something weaker presumably China. Will be
on later? No, still not at 2221. Then I check five other frequencies
on the TRT HFCC schedule, supposed to be on air just before 2200, as
at other times, the sloppyrators have been caught forgetting to change
frequencies: No, nothing from TRT either on 9880, 9875, 9635, 9460 or
5960. Somethings always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2146 monitoring: confirmed Friday
July 8 from 1815.2 on IRRS SW via Bulgaria 7290, S8/S9+15 into
UTwente; also via AM Italia, Villa Estense, 1323 kHz, S9+20 into
nearby Noale SDR, and this time also on better 918 kHz, S9+30; but no
signal on LW 207 kHz: are they ever running that any more? Played to
completion before 1844 music fill.

Also tuned these in earlier: 1323 & 918 at 1754 with `Counterspin`
excellent program but merits being more than a fragment-filler,
chopped off before finished at 1800 for ``IRRS SW signing-on`` and
right into Feature Story News. As always the 7290 transmitter
cannot/will not/never does cut on air until 1800.8 JIP FSN. 1805 IRRS
ID with PO Box in Milano they otherwise deny access to; 1805.6 YL solo
song and more music; 1813 DJ on WBAI, `Off the Hook` is ``coming up,
now 7:02 pm``. A fragment of another excellent show opening until
chopped off at 1815 IRRS quick ID and then WOR.

Both those programs deserve specific regular spots on IRRS; so I
search each of the 7 daily program schedules on each name, Hook and
Counterspin via:
https://www.nexus.org/member-services/radio-and-tv/schedules/
and do not get a single hit; including mostly webcasting-only filling
the 24 hours.

WOR 2146 also confirmed Friday July 8 at 2030.5 on AM Italia 918 &
1323, both slightly stronger now with 918 still superior, S9+32 vs
S9+22. Some other talk show was chopped off at 2030 for IRRS ID.

Also confirmed UT Saturday July 9 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9+10/15 into
Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Saturday July 9 at 0400 on WBCQ 5130, S6/S9 into
Rochester SDR, -27 Hz = 5129.973. For a change, the PEI SDR was also
getting 5130 well earlier during the 0230 R. Angela Greek music show.

** U S A. (7489.9v), UT Saturday July 9 tuned in AAAWWW on WBCQ
webcast just seconds too late circa 0050 to catch the datestamp, so is
it live and new? Proceeds to scan some items from Free Radio Weekly
including my Enid pirate on 27185, without any useful detail, and an
FM pirate elsewhere on 90.3 so we know it is last week`s FRW as even I
have not yet received this week`s issue so we know Harold Frodge is
not editing it. It`s probably last week`s AAAWWW repeated. When Dave
edits, he does not publish it until many hours later, such as 1357
July 9 this week, and refusing my further 27184+ logs (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. One of the distances in my July 4 Es FM DX report was wrong,
inadvertently copying the entry just before it, Mt Wilson, instead of
correct Las Vegas NV as in other logs: 1545 km = 960 miles for 93.1
KYMT (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. DXMAP shows 100+ MHz Es MUF westward, July 9 circa 1500 UT;
if there is any DX, Randy Zerr is showing it from his remote corner of
Nevada. This conflicts with monitoring LRA36 via remote on computer,
see ANTARCTICA. But at 1517 I start bandscanning FM on the caradio.
Furthermore, morning tropo is up from my fringers in Tulsa, Kansas. I
do have some brief unIDs which may be Es:

94.9 at 1519 rock; 94.5 at 1520 about video courses.

94.3 at 1511, financial talk, not // 95.1 so not the Bott in Kansas,
but this is in mono like it is. By 1526, these frequencies are // so
only KS and OK. Continued under [spoiler] OKLAHOMA (Glenn Hauser, OK,
