Correcting date on this one: Dec 24 not 23:

** U S A. 1100 kHz, WCGA in Woodbine, SE Georgia scheduled for a
special DX test Dec 24 at 0500-0700 UT. I heard it last time in April,
but check again and record for a QSL. 0608 tune in, tone sweeps upward
audible under WTAM Cleveland, even before I null it on the rotatable
DX-398 with internal antenna only. WTAM is 50 kW ND; WCGA is a 10 kW
ND daytimer. 0609, continuous 1 kHz tone; 0610 sweeps upward. I record
at 0618-0623 and later can just barely make out Morse code VVVs and at
0621, WCGA several times. Here`s my 2-minute clip I will be submitting
as evidence for eQSL:
https://www.w4uvh.net/WCGA_MorseID_20221224_0621.mp3
It`s most readable around halfway in, followed by continuous tone. So
that`s it. Tnx for the test. Another one is coming at same hours Dec
25 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ANTARCTICA [non]. 15475.98 RC USB, Sat Dec 24 at 1500-1505+ NO
signal from LRA36 into any of the four remaining Argentine KiwiSDRs,
nor at occasional chex following semihour as I am mainly listening
to:

FONLAC in web stereo via WUOT rather than offtarget BBC SW: Festival
Of Nine Lessons And Carols -- for the music if not the lessons. WUOT
repeats it at 0300 UT Dec 25. More about that and still audible:
https://www.yourclassical.org/story/2022/12/01/a-festival-of-nine-lessons-and-carols
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 258 MCW kHz, Dec 24 at 0728 UT, dash and ZSJ, 1000 watt NDB
at Sandy Lake, Ont., one of the rarer ones along with several common
ones; but I would really like to DX some ``new`` ones (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 11525, Dec 24 at 2325, S9/+10 of CNR1 jamming vs RFA Chinese
via Tinian scheduled at 23-24 and 20-21. More of a slight echo from
second jammer or longpath than anything from the victim. Nothing
similar anywhere else inside 25m band, nor in the 11.0 MHz area (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, Dec 24 at 2322, S9+10/20 of dead air from RHC. Ditto
11850 except for JBM in Spanish, and the latter still flanked by JBA
carrier spurs plus/minus 10 on 11840, 11860, the only RHC frequency
with that defect. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Dec 24 at 2130, NO signal of R. Cairo in English,
via UTwente. Something`s always amiss in Abis (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY [non]. 15770, Dec 24 at 2011, Gruss an Bord, yearly NDR
special for German mariners asea, VG S8/9+10 via WRMI into Maryland
SDR. Full span 1800-2100 but I gather from numerous posts to the WOR
iog that WRMI was OFF for the first bihour, apparently due to power
failure in FL. Also via several other sites and frequencies I do not
try. All in German, of course, except for songs in English, ``Small
Town Girl`` at 2014. ``All I want for Xmas is You`` at 2053; Live
audience with applause. Roger in Germany says:

You can listen to the pre-produced show here:
https://mediandr-a.akamaihd.net/progressive/2022/1222/AU-20221222-1420-2100.mp3
(~175 MB, mp3 128 kbps, 48kHz, joint stereo)
As live music was played, no rights issues and file is 183 minutes
long including the music. roger``

2059.5, 15770 cuts to WRMI ID with a different ``Okeechobee`` song
than usual; 2100 into ``Voice of Italy``, a.k.a. ``I Love Italy`` but
mainly in Italian (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Dec 24 at 0710, JBA carrier from R. Kiribati,
but no other 9/kHz splits (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 6185-, Dec 24 at 0733, XEPPM S9/+10 with jazz song in
Spanish (Glenn Hauser, oK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 350 MCW kHz, Dec 24 at 0720, RG NDB in OKC still off
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. RF 17, Dec 24 at 2115 UT, K17JN-D, Enid`s only local TV
transmitter, is back! Checking for it every day, was still off
yesterday since Dec 12. 3ABN is primary, with three more Adventist
video subchannels, and three audio-only, same as before.

Wish I had thought of it half a sesquihour earlier as 3ABN has
scheduled episode 5 of a 2019 series about Adventist World Radio, as I
have publicized. Other weekly airing is UT Thursday at 0230 so maybe
catch it then. Too much was going on at 2030 today! WOR on WA0RCR,
Gruss an Bord on WRMI, Jen`s Xmas Eve special on Unique Radio webcast,
KUCO`s post-opera vocal music. 3ABN? Three Angels Broadcasting
Network, the trio being a thing for the 7DAs (Glenn Hauser, Enid,
WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Dec 24 at 2312, S7/9+10 direct of dead air from VOT
English, then maybe a trace of modulation. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 353 MCW kHz, Dec 24 at 0717, LI, 400-watt ND beacon at
LIttle Rock AR. Strangely, I was hearing it better tuned to 352 and
even 351 USB than listed 353 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2170 monitoring: confirmed UT
Saturday December 23 at 0130 on WRMI 5850, S3/S6 into Georgia SDR but
sufficient.

NOT confirmed UT Sat Dec 23 at 0500 on WBCQ R. Angela. As far as I can
tell by checking remotes in NH, NY, MD, OH and MO, it`s off the air,
presumably due to wind-caused power outages as explained on AAAWWW. At
first there seems to be a JBA fluttery carrier into Missouri, but then
as on waterfall see same things every 10 kHz above and below, so must
be something internal to SDR; same around 7490. 5130 had been on
earlier for `Greek Music Refuge` at 0330, but reception too poor to
enjoy; and as a matter of R Angela policy, no webcasts or ondemand;
unless they also happen to be on another transmission, like UBMP is.

Missed checking Sat Dec 23 at 1700 WRN webcast of WOR but I know they
have the latest file and will confirm it later. Yes, confirmed at
2030.

Also confirmed starting at 2035 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, Wentzville MO,
S9+25 into nearby Warrenton SDR. Next:

** U S A. (7489.9v), UT Sat Dec 24 from 0100 on WBCQ webcast,
`AAAWWW`, another new live show; Angela always suspects her mike isn`t
really on, but confirmed it is. It`s 46 degrees in Deland of Fla,
really chilly for them and going down further. Discussion of how Dec
25 as Xmas was just chosen by the RCC as admittedly no one knows when
JC was really born.

Against more giga$ of aid for Ukraine. They continue to denigrate
President Biden as an incompetent ``puppet``. They imagine that if
T**** were in power, he would broker peace between Ukraine and Russia.
They dismiss the 845-page Jan 6 Committee report with all the evidence
against T**** about the insurrexion.

I`m so sad that these intelligent couple allow themselves to be so
delusional. For those who would dare to read or skim it, here it is
online:

Allan laments that plain old radios are hard to find in stores, even
his local Walmart -- finally he found one ``clock radio`` that has
AM/FM. At 0145, datestamp as 23 of Dec, YOOLF 2022, from Studio 9 in
Fla where temp is descending into the 30s. Angela worx at horse farm,
Deep Creek Stables, Didion Springs, and they are blanketing the
horses, not used to such frigidity. 0147 reads more emails than usual,
none contradicting their politix but reinforcing. No Free Radio Weekly
to quote since Dave Turnick is rotating editor this week and never
finishes it until next morning, after the 0000 UT deadline.

0152, explanation of WBCQ outages: really high winds cause power to
trip off every half hour all day, which is hard on transmitters,
especially the SuperStition, so Al orders 9330 turned off until the
winds die down. Electrical grid around there is 100 years old except
for WBCQ part reconstructed a few years ago. Unfortunately, WBCQ`s own
2-megawatt Diesel generator is not yet operational. It has a
30-kilogallon fuel tank, with heaters to keep the Diesel from gelling,
and in well-insulated building.

They run over into Hal Turner time again, JIP about 0202. I wanted to
hear his opening whether he still claim to be on KYAH 540 in Utah,
which has changed ownership/calls but is currently off the air, not
even 13 watts at night; so I check his website where indeed KYAH is
still shown as his only domestic affiliate along with SW WRMI and
WBCQ. I also see that he believes Putin that Zelenskyy is a Nazi!

I did not check SW frequencies during AAAWWW but 5130 was absent for
WOR at 0500; yet at 0730, long after BCQ is normally off, there is
S7/S9 of dead air with flutter on 7489.937. At 0734, S7/S9 of dead air
also on 6159.937, exactly same offset (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1100 kHz, WCGA in Woodbine, SE Georgia scheduled for a
special DX test Dec 23 at 0500-0700 UT.

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 24 at 0729, RV is S7/S9 with flutter on my
generous meter but JBA YL talk. Rodney Johnson, got it better, WOR
iog:

``Greetings From Minnesota! Got a nice little present tonight!
7260, 0755 24 DEC 2022 - RADIO VANUATU (VANUATU) in BISLAMA from
EMPTEN LAGOON. SINPO = 35222. ?Language?, music DJ'd by a female
announcer. ID @ 0800z fb Xmas jingle ("we wish you a merry Xmas" notes
on single instrument) and male announcer reading. //stream on

Gary Pence also sent a recording of their Xmas greetings in English,
French, Bislama at 0701 UT as heard via Maui SDR; including ho-ho-ho
from Santa.

Ron Howard also replies to my previous report: ``Hi Glenn - Nice to
find we were listening to 7260 at the same time, but I was enjoying
decent reception 0701-0750 UT, on Dec 23.
0701-0715: News/sports/weather warning in Bislama.
0715: Briefly in French.
0717: Long schedule of "weekend activities" and RV program schedule in
Bislama.
0722+: Played many Xmas songs and several segments with listeners
calling-in to "wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy/Prosperous
New Year 20-23." Very enjoyable listening! Ron California`` (Glenn

** CANADA. 290 MCW kHz, Dec 23 at 0759 UT, dash and QR, 100 watt NDB
at Regina SK. Some other regular Canadians also in (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, Dec 23 at 0736, S9+20/30 of dead air in English; also
6060, S9+10/20 with hum; also even 6000, S9+20/30 with hum. ALSO:
12000, S6/S9 of DA at 0743 on 2 X 6000. Something`s always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 5025, Dec 23 at 0740 overmodulatedistorted music at
S9+30 from R. Rebelde, blasting away 5020 carrier from SOLOMONS,
inescapable even with LSB tuning. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba. But nothing on X2 = 10050 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5040, Dec 23 at 0741, RHC Spanish S9/+10 but JBM; much better
on X2 = 10080, S9+10/20 sufficient mod level but distorted.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Dec 23 at 1649, no signal from RHC on one of the two
frequencies supposed to remain on past local noon, still going on
11760. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Dec 23 at 2245, dead air at S9/+10, then JBM seems in
Spanish // 13680; while at 2248, 13740 is also on in DA, maybe trace
of modulation, S9/+10. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** INDONESIA [non]. 7780, Dec 23 at 0800, march music at S9 via WRMI;
0801.5 VOI English sign/on mentions no SW frequencies but voinews.id
and then a song before starting news at 0804.5, past time for me to
shut eyes and ears. This is Friday so confirms OTH Radio is NOT
replacing it as on the Dec 10 fb publicity; see USA: WRMI (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. 846, Dec 23 at 0745, no JBA carrier detectable from R.
Kiribati, off? Nor any other 9/kHz splits (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO [and non]. 6185-, Dec 23 at 0735, S7/S9 of soft music, so
XEPPM is back to running post-midnite. Ron Howard monitored much
more:

``Dec 23 - Mexico on 6185:
0655 UT - Open carrier with no audio.
0918 - Contemporary instrumental music with sounds of many birds; good
audio level; fair reception.
0940 - The same type of music; continuing with good audio.
*0943 - CHBC (China) suddenly on with music; no introductory ID; much
stronger than Mexico's signal.
*0954 - UNID station on the air for a brief time (not as strong as
VOK's signal); in perhaps Japanese(?) and mixing with China & Mexico.
*1000 - Extremely strong start of Voice of Korea, in English; unable
to confirm what happened with Mexico after 0954. Ron, California``

Other reports on the WOR iog:

``I finally heard some readable audio on this newly reactivated
station around 0145 UTC on Dec. 23 and again when I checked between
0545 and 0602. But after a female announcer talked for a couple
minutes just after 0600, the audio seemed to stop. I checked a few
closer SDRs and found the same thing -- the signal was still showing,
but no audio. Perhaps Radio Educación isn't broadcasting on shortwave
as far into the night as it did before its hiatus? Eric Fetters-Walp,
Lake Stevens, Washington``

``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain [at 0652]: Hi Eric, same here, at 0555,
23-12, strong carrier but very weak audio, unreadable comments. From
0600 only carrier.

``Nice ID after a jazzy tune at 0732 on 6184.97, 10/S9 in Dallas, TX.
Gary, KM5X`` Pence

``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain: Radio Educación, 6185, checked again at
0740, 23-12, classical music. Weak``

``Just checked back at 0802 UT, and indeed I hear classical music,
though Brazil is providing interference from 6180 kHz. Eric
Fetters-Walp, Lake Stevens, Washington USA`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 350 MCW kHz, Dec 23 at 0753 UT, RG, NDB at Will RoGers
World Airport, OKC, is unusually, OFF. Frigid but no heavy snow as
excuse. The other Okies: 255 SW Stillwater still off; 267 HET
HenryEtTa audible; 341 EI EnID on; 515 PN PoNca City on. RG still off
at 1915 check. How can any World airplanes land without it. BTW, a
too-heavy military airplane landed without authorization at the
Stillwater airport, tearing up the runway (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 90.1, KUCO-FM: it appears the staff are too busy
converting CDs to digital files to keep their own schedule up to date;
or are they just winging it? Does all that conversion have to be
played in real time? No wonder it`s a ``5-year project``. I keep
running across `Performance Today` from APM, like: Dec 23 UT Fri 0100
instead of KUCO`s own `Performance Oklahoma` at its alleged new time;
and PT again, Fri 1600 UT instead of `The Score` cinemusic. PT is an
excellent program and we`re glad to have it back, but not at the
expense of the above and who knows what else. When KOSU ditched
classical a few years ago, I urged KUCO to pick up PT, but as I
recall, they turned it down because of expense. Surprise: check after
20 UT Friday finds `The Score` resumed at its original time! And at
2137, Kent Anderson says that local programming will resume on Monday
January 2 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Fri Dec 23 at 2300, token English from REE, VG direct
but some deep fading; others useless, 12030, 11940. Xmas eve show,
after the news, Hélena Rigobert with Xmas traditions and carols
peculiar to Spain, ending with that Coca-Cola ad tune with
multilingual otherlyrix, or was it Pepsi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5960, Dec 23 at 2300, JBA carrier direct, so suspect
VOT be AWOL again, conceding to the competition from Spain; 2351 check
of UTwente: nothing but Chinese from East Turkistan, standard
denunciation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 329 MCW kHz, Dec 23 at 0755 UT, PMV, 25 watt ND beacon at
Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Not heard in quite a while, but now the noise
level has abated just enough (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 13089 USB, Dec 23 at 1645, robotic marine weather with
barometric readings for many Pacific areas specified by geo
coördinates, lickety-split. Can even the most seasoned navigator
visualize where these are as they zip by? Scheduled 1630-1705 is NMC,
USCG Point Reyes CA, per EiBi, with several other spans daily
alternating with NMN Chesapeake VA, NRV Guam, NMO Honolulu. They also
have several fax broadcasts which might be more usable if receivable
clearly, on other frequencies. The 1630 voice bc from NMC is also
listed on 8764, 17314. EiBi never specifies what is in SSB rather than
AM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2170 monitoring: confirmed first
SWBC, UT Friday December 23 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9/+10 direct but VP
due to high local noise level; VP into various remotes: Athens GA,
Maryland, Brownsville, Missouri, best S/N at Maurice LA, S9/S7 and
some intermittent QRM, SSB? also at Athens. That`s what we risk so far
outside broadcast bands.

Missed checking, ZZZ, Fri Dec 23 at 0830 on WRMIs 5010 & 5850;
appreciate anyone already awake at that hour reconfirming from time to
time. See also WRMI about OTH Radio.

Missed checking Fri Dec 23 at 1530 on WRMI 9955, presumed still off
air after 1500, but probably still on webcast; anyone hear either?

Confirmed at 2156 Friday December 23 the 2130 on IRRS/NEXUS/IBA via AM
Italia, 1323 kHz only, Villa Estense, S9+10/20 into nearby Noale SDR
with choppy fast SAH but no modulated QRM, suspect the Romanian
carrier still on. 2158 IRRS announces 1323 signing off until 19 CET
tomorrow, so daily sked is 18-22 UT only? But does NOT go off, rather
2200 `Feature Story News`, which some Bulgarian keeps mishearing as
``Future --`` that would be a neat trick! Plus at 2205 VOA News in
English; 2210 some big band music till really off at 2211*, leaving
nothing but ACI splash from 1332 very strong Romania Actualitatsi
with, what else, rock song in English, `Eugene`, before 2215 talk in
Romanian. Next:

However, Alan Roe`s Music on SW skeds show at 0800 Fridays 5850
instead, as I found later, too late to check today. In that case,
replaces WORLD OF RADIO! at 0830. Leaving us only on 5010, maybe
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9329.8v, Dec 23 after 2200, WBCQ-6 SuperStition is off
again; wonder what`s wrong now?

7489.9v, Fri Dec 23 at 2250 I catch the last dekaminute of `Behaviour
Night` ancient music, good reception direct in all-dark winter path;
2300 Sir Scratchy finishes and this WBCQ carrier cut immediately:
strange but obviously deliberate: why? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4840, Dec 23 at 0739, S9+20/30 of dead air from WWCR, while
5935 is normal, the only WWCR succeeding, as 3215 & 5890 are scheduled
off overnight except weekends - tho 5890 caught with algo Thu Dec 15
at 0742. Something`s abnormal in Nashville. FWIW, 9980 TOMBS is on at
1647 Dec 23 rather than silent most of the day; 12, 13 and 15 also on
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 23 at 0734, RV is S8/S9 with flutter but VP,
still here, not 5040 or 3945 and multiples (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, UT Thu Dec 22 at 0730, RHC English with `Ed Newman`
presenting Mailbag, S9/+10 undermodulated. Only RHC frequency still
on. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. From the WOR iog UT Dec 22 starting at 0131, from me:

``[WOR] XEPPM seems back --- While scanning for Pres. Zelenskyy`s
speech on SW, I ran across some S7/S9 music on 6185 about 0047 - and
it`s off/frequency minus like XEPPM used to be, about 6184.97. And
nothing else scheduled. It was still missing when checked last night.
Glenn`` --- replies:

At 0156: ``Yep - I'm not hearing any readable audio yet, but there's
definitely a signal there for the first time in weeks. It's a solstice
miracle! Eric Fetters-Walp, Lake Stevens, Washington``

``Hearing music on 6185 during a 0430-0440 check UT December 22. No
announcements, but consistent with XEPPM programming. Signal weaker
than typical XEPPM reception at my Houston QTH. Has been off the past
three weeks. More checks needed! Stephen Luce, Houston, Texas``

At 0532: ``I was disheartened last night when checking for XEPPM,
thought maybe they quit SW by this time. YES, tonight we are hearing a
woman presenter here, a lot of talk about Christmas, some music and
they are back. (Of course, Mexican Spanish). 73 - Rick in Arizona``
Barton

gh` further chex: at 0338, undermodulated Spanish S7/9+10. 0728, no
signal, so not yet all-night or until 1000v* as before.

``Dec 22 - Checking 6185, at 0735 UT, found no one there. Ron
(Calif.)`` Howard (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2170)

** UKRAINE [non]. From the WOR iog UT Dec 22, starting with me at
0035:

``[WOR] Pres. Z. about to address Congress --- At 0030 UT Thu,
coverage of Pres. Zelenskyy`s address to US Congress is about to
start, and multiple TV networks are on it, like CSPAN1, MSNBC, PBS,
CNN - for those only listening to SW, where what do you bet, not a
single US SW station will find it worth airing. Glenn``

``I am pleased to report Radio Martí appears to be carrying the speech
with simultaneous translation in Spanish. Can hear it on 7435 and 9565
kHz at the moment (0048 UTC) 73 Ricky Leong, Calgary, Alberta,
Canada``

``No point in trying to hear VOA English anywhere at this hour. No
active US private SW frequencies on it.

At 0050-0055 I did a quick MW scan during his speech, and it was
absolutely nowhere. Stations will not deviate from their talk, sports
or whatever commercial format. If we had any public radio stations
audible on MW, maybe there? Even less point in checking FM, except
KOSU with NPR -- No, not even there. Glenn``

Pundits later compared this to Winston Churchill in Dec 1941 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2170)

** U S A. 5085, Dec 22 at 0330 check, no signal yet from WTWW, tho
WRMI Legends has skidaddled back to 4980.

At 0541 via George McClintock: ``George is authorized usage of 5085
and 9475 kHz for WTWW. Regards, Tom Lucey`` of FCC.

``George, That`s a rather informal note -- Good; from when? Did not
hear any 5085 tonight. Glenn``

``His full e-mail is as good as a license to broadcast. George
McClintock 12-22-2022``.

WTWW back on 5085, Dec 22 at 2355, as George calls me to check on the
spurs he`s working to eliminate: still there now and a bit stronger
than last time, 5072.1 & 5097.9; SFA PPPP programming and stays on
past 0206 check. He does not have programming arranged yet for daytime
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2170)

** U S A. 4980, Dec 22 at 0732, WRMI with TOMBS // 5010 et al. 4980
just resumed with Legends at 23-05 but now running it longer. Yet not
as such on the skedgrid updated Dec 21. Other changes: WRMI-1 on 7730
to 160 degrees but BLANK 24h. WRMI-2 ALSO on 7730, 44 degrees to
Europe, with wide variety of Systems and shows 24h! It now matches
exactly what`s shown for WRMI-9 on 15770, also 44 degrees, 24 hours
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2170)

** U S A. 9329.761, Dec 22 at 0739, WBCQ/WLCR in English at S9/+10,
way off-frequency the lowest yet.

The winds here are howling, 40 mph gusts forecast, as intermittent
noise appears on MW & SW, probably rattling power lines; and we are
headed for extreme windchills like -24 F, and lows circa zero F, Thu &
Fri.

9329.838 is where Maine SDR finds it at 1917 Dec 22. Despite proximity
ought to be in skip zone, but S9/+15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO
2170)

** U S A. 13845 & 15825, Dec 22 at 1617, NO signals from these WWCRs.
K index at 15 was only 3. Must be OFF or there would at least be JBA
carriers. 12160 is still inbooming S9+30 and the other WWCR 9980 is
also silent as it has been most days lately. Survey of other USignals
finds normal reception from WRMIs, 13820 R. Martí, 15755 WINB DRM,
even JBA 15555 USB WJHR. At 1652 I check Maine SDR for WWCR and it too
is hearing nothing but 12160. At 1916, however, all 4 WWCRs are on and
into Maine SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 22 at 0734, R. Vanuatu still here and VP. Ron
Howard also reports it 0610-0731 with severe weather warning, and news
about Fiji leaning more toward ANZUS rather than China (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
