** BENIN. 1476 kHz, Monday November 25 at 0417 I`m on 1475 USB for any hint of TWR s/on sked for 0419 M-F - but no trace of it thru 0420 on my E/W loop. Later into Canary SDR, at 0426 it is audible with hymnusic, S9+5 vs HNL there (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA. 2749 USB, Nov 25 at 0302 UT, marine weather by autoYL voice JBA in French. Least prior skedstart is 0240 for 1.5 sesquikW VCS-21, Halifax NS, her last bc of the day, but not labeled as other than English by dxinfocentre.com/mb/htm -- I hope this ref be really more recent than the header date, 2020-05-13. Still need to find the official CCG site for such info. Nothing audible now on the further NF/NL area frequency 2598 where the least prior skedstart would have been 0207, so over by now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA [non]. 9790, Nov 25 at 0317, CRI relay via CUBA, S9+10 in English but modulation is suptorted; at least better than last night. Still here on A24 channel instead of 5910 for B24 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. Since I`m DXing at 0408+ UT Monday November 25, I tune around for the semi?-mandatory weekly government program `La Hora Nacional`. 6185 does not have same programming as several MW stations. I start with 1050 XEG and then check for //s. Sounds like same show with W&M conversation, but nothing synchronized! Does each station get a prefeed to play back individually, not really a network? Others 730, 900, 1670 == and 1570 XERF which I time running 50 seconds behind XEG, when there is an obvious shift from talk to music (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 267 kHz, Nov 25 at 0706 UT, JBA carrier, surely 25 watt ND beacon HET in HenryEtTa OK -- the only one on this frequency anywhere in the world per both RNA and dxinfocentre references. Right now not enough signal vs HNL and some local blob to copy the ID, but have succeeded many times before. Henryetta is S of Tulsa, E of OKC where US 75 intersects with I-40 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 9610, Nov 24 at 2130, VOT English insufficient into UTwente, so will get the next broadcast: 5960.003-, Sunday Nov 24 at 2300, VOT English, S9+25/35 into UTwente with some hum and more CCCCCCI than usual, but doubtless far better than would have been direct, not even checked. S/on by Efsun the axentuated, and she into olds I do not try to perceive. 2317 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2319 It`s Teachers` Day in Turkey. 2320 `Weekly Analysis` by some Prof. Dr. at a Foundation whose names I can never copy, about prospects for the next 4 years of Trump. [why does everyone assume 4 years? He`s rather old with lots of enemies, obviously in mental decline, and OTOH, he said no further elexions would be needed, since by 2029 he`ll be dictator for the rest of his life, if any]. Says Pete is a devout Zionist; Marco is pro-Israel with no foreign-policy experience, etc. 2321 `Letterbox` with the other YL who has done it a couple times before, Sylvia? She`s all pro-forma with very quick shoutouts, acknowleding reception dates, promising QSLs and greetings; not dealing with anything substantial such as questions. No problem with an accent, but rapid speech of unfamiliar names along with fading and ChiCom QRM makes it hard to get names, or even be sure of which countries are called. 1) ??. 2) Pakistan? 3) W Bengal. 4) Port Alberni, Canada. 5) Oslo, Norway. 2331 song break padding. 2335, 6) India. 7) China. 8) India? Then about Nov 24 being Teachers` Day, with dedications, song. 2343 outro and `L`box` theme. How lame to pad with music, not even requested, during a mailbag show. Not enough incoming correspondence? 2344 music and moremusic. 2253 s/off as if the 1330: something`s always awry at Ankara. 2354 IS to 2355* uncovering the Chinese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 6501 USB, Nov 25 at 0310, marine weather JBA. EiBi shows USCG timeshares by Guam, Kodiak, Honolulu, Chesapeake, but none at this exact time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2270 monitoring: Also confirmed Sunday November 24 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.998, S8.5 into UTwente, with pulse QRM from 1321 kHz. After ``sign-off`` of NEW SW at 19-20, 7275. Also confirmed Sunday November 24 at 2258 the 2230 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.002-, S8/S9 into UTwente. Also confirmed Sunday November 24 at 2330 on WRMI, still 7780 instead of silent 7570, S9/+10 into Georgia SDR. Also confirmed UT Monday November 25 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10 into Georgia SDR. Also confirmed UT Monday November 25 from 0401 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160 -71 Hz = 6150.929, S9+20/30 direct, tough vs HNL; S5/S7 at 0428 into Maryland SDR when measured. Next: 2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. As a noncommercial service, financial support welcome such as a contribution via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. WTWW: ``Glenn, #2 transmitter would not come on this Friday, because of low water level. A small leak not found yet but might be in the heat exchanger. John McClintock will open up the exchanger shortly and look to see if there is a leak in there. George McClintock 11-24-2024`` 5085 is on the air at 0154 check Nov 25 (Glenn Hauser, WOR) ** U S A. 7490-, Nov 25 at 0314, WBCQ with S9+30 of dead air. BTW, on `AAAWWW`, 9330 transmitter is referred to as WBCQ-6, but I never hear numbers assigned to any of the others. What are they? Which is which? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9955, Nov 25 at 0319, this WRMI is JBM with music. At best it is merely undermodulated. Can anyone measure the percentages? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 880 kHz, Nov 25 at 0407 UT, Spanish ID as ``Radio Visión Latina, 106.1 FM`` and canciones. Best on N/S antenna, while on E/W there is NYC QRM. Only one XE on 880 and it`s silent! There are several USSS on 880, but this must be U4 10/1 kW KJOZ Conroe TX, but for Houston market, in NRC AM Log with different slogan ``La Calle`` group, address in Pasadena, tropical format. That group is/was KJOZ plus three FM translators on different frequencies. However, WTFDA FMDB on 106.1 leads to K291CE relaying KJOZ 880 with 28/28 watts, ``Radio Vida Visión``. Broad search on ``Vision Latina 106.1`` also leads to Houston but with precious little detail, not even a callsign at https://visionlatina.com/ website. Apparently a TV group in a few major cities with radio as an afterthought (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** WESTERN SAHARA. 711 kHz, Nov 25 at 0426, Canary SDR is getting a good signal here, presumed active the Moroccan imperialist hi-power outlet, and with a het, in this case likely TA from CUBA 710, reverse of what I hear direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 5025, Nov 25 at 0305, JBA carrier, gone at 0321. Either Rebelde gave up or it were R. Quillabamba, PERU (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1954 UT November 25 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** CUBA [non]. 5025, Nov 24 at 0322, R. Rebelde is gone again, no signal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 7330-7335-7340, Nov 24 at 0330, unusually wideband pulse jamming against nothing by the incompetent DentroCuban Jamming Command, since R. Martí is on 7355, and 7435 where no jamming is audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 9790, Nov 24 at 0335, S9+20/30 just barely modulated, must be the CRI relay which is supposed to be on 5910 in B24 as in HFCC and Aoki, but in EiBi truly on 9790. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** FRANCE. 6150, Nov 24 at 0327, song and cheers, S9+20/30; thought it might be Brazilian pirate R. Saturno, but at 03-05 it`s NHK World R. Japan relay toward ME, as well as 6105 Japanese at 02-04 for Central America - a worthy target unlike North America; are they // during the overlap hour? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO. Re my previous report of 660 XEFZ and FM 92.1 not 98.1, Tim Hall replies: ``I can definitely empathize with that. In heavy static, I have an odd propensity to mishear 2 as 6 and vice-versa. 73 Tim`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MEXICO [and non]. 800, Nov 24 at 0345, KQCV OK is again getting hit by extreme distortion from XEERG, NL (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** PUERTO RICO. 391 MCW kHz, Nov 24 at 0718 UT, ND beacon DDP is JBA, as occasionally makes it for real DX, listed 2 kW in RNA, 1 kW in dxinfocentre (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2270 monitoring: confirmed UT Sunday November 24 at 0100 on WRMI 9955, S9+15/20 into Georgia SDR; S6/S8 JBA into Brasília where it`s aimed. Also confirmed UT Sunday November 24 at 0506, about 7 minutes into so started circa 0459 the 0415v in WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+17/22 into nearby SDR. Next: 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7570 to NW [or 7780, last 4 weeks]; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0400vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW; 0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. 5085, Nov 24 at 0322, WTWW-2 back on air after absent last night; along with spurs circa 5072 & 5097 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 4840, UT Sun Nov 24 at 0414, after `Ask WWCR`, promo for TWR gethoperadio.com, 0415 horrible off-key hymnsing instead of 4-year delayed DX olds by Bob Padula (GLenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZOMBIA [non]. 4940, Nov 24 at 0321, 4940 station still missing, no signal direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 383 & 385 kHz, at 0729 Nov 24, JBA MCW carriers: only two USA listed on 383, LB in LiBeral KS, and CNP in Chappell NE; but too many on 385, including AR, LA and TX. On Dec 5, 2021, I did log CNP but no sign of LB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Nov 24 at 0259, full bandscan at 9 kHz intervals -1 kHz in USB, E/W loop into R75, hits only: 711 and 1044. 711 het to 710 still there at 0344. This fall I am having much less success than previous years, due to: increased constant local noise level; degraded MW prop at solar max; fewer signals on air at full power, notably Spain. 711 I hope is 300 kW WESTERN SAHARA as occupied by Morocco, but could be Cuban spoiler. At 1650 I try Canary remotes on 711: one gets nothing, the other a carrier but nothing audible, 9 Hz below 711 and no WWV to check calibration. 1044 likely SPAIN, where there are 2 x 10 kW, tho I would settle for 200 kW from ETHIOPIA, starting at 0245 per mwlist. Wish I could check for TPs around local sunrise, but gotta sleep sometime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 4535, Nov 24 at 0320, rapid CW ID as CODAR pulsing pauses, as I happen to be tuned here in bandscan; a reminder that this happens at :00, :20 and :40 when one should be prepared to copy or record (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report despatched at 1955 UT November 24 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/

** CUBA. 5025, Nov 23 at 0732, R. Rebelde back on with immediate ID after missing several days, but weaker than before, only S9+20 vs noise level S9+15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 660, Nov 23 at 0236 UT, ``660 AM y 98.1 FM ... sabemos cómo juega``. If KTNN is properly nulling toward NYC, 660 is open for DX, and this Spanish happens to be atop as I tuneby. Then commences research, as I am rather sure about ``98.1``. Could it be USA? No, the only USSS in NRC AM Log is lowpower in Oregon and also religious. However mwlist shows WDYZ Altamonte Springs FL is ``Poder 660``, but no connexion to 98.1; while NRC Log has that one with ESPN in English and FM on 105.5. Cuba has a Progreso on 660, and three unrelated FMs on 98.1. Surely this is Mexico, not Guatemala either where there is no 660. The Mexicans usually or previously heard on 660 are XEEY, 50/10 kW in Aguascalientes; XEDTL, 50/10 kW in CDMX; and XEFZ, 10/1 kW in Monterrey, but there are a few others. So I search for a correlation with 98.1. WTFDA FM DB shows no 98.1 Mex relaying a 660. IRCA Mexican log has no 660/98.1 match, but digging deeper, in Quintana Roo there are sibling stations of same group, per own website https://sqcs.com.mx/radiochansantacruz/ -- altho not known to be simulcasting: 660 XECPR, Felipe Carillo Puerto, Radio Chan Santa Cruz; and 98.1 XHPYA-FM, Playa del Carmen, Riviera 98.1 FM. Monterrey and CDMX don`t have a 660/98.1 match. In Aguascalientes, XEEY`s FM is on 102.9; the 98.1 there is a separate station. So it looks like could be XECPR, in IRCA as 30 kW daypower, ``Radio Chan Santa Cruz, Frecuencia Maya, Radio 660``. The ``sabemos cómo juega`` slogan implies a sports format. In IRCA the only one partially desportive is XEFZ. Perhaps more likely than QRoo is that one of the other three has had a realignment with a 98.1 since latest info in these references. I ran the above by Tim Hall, who replied: ``Hi Glenn, I'm away from my notes all day visiting with family today, but offhand I suspect it's XEFZ ABC Deportes, which is // XHGBO-92.1. I think I may have recently heard that slogan myself. 73 Tim`` Well, I might have misheard ``ocho`` for ``dos``, leading me on such a wild goose chase? If not more monitoring of 660 direct, maybe would hear likewise on XEFZ webcast labeled ABC Deportes: https://gruporadioalegria.mx/#/ Finally: at 0013 Nov 24 on webcast, full ID including ``sabemos cómo se juega`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, Nov 23 at 0738, Station YHWH running late again, JBA. Eric Fetters-Walp in WA reported him direct at 0405; Ron Howard was still hearing him at 0550 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 338 MCW kHz, Nov 23 at 1622, JBA carrier, most likely TU in Tulsa, rather than RYN Tucson which makes it at night. Vs constant high local noise level, only a few are detectable in daytime, such as Kansies on 332, 395, 407, Okies on 255, 515 - and yes, Enid`s EI is still OFF 341, forever? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.004-, Nov 23 at 2304, VOT not off the air, olds in English underway, S9/+10 into UTwente with humbuzz and 6CI underneath. After music break, 2325 `Turkey`s Geomarked Products` about spinach & meatballs, over already at 2327 music. 2351 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2354 s/off as if 1330 on 13635: something`s always awry at Ankara. 2354.6 IS briefly and off just before 2355* uncovering Chinese (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2270 monitoring: Not confirmed UT Saturday November 23 at 0400 on 5085, as WTWW is still absent. Confirmed Saturday November 23 at 1545 the 1530 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.001, S9/+10 into UTwente with usual ACI from 6165, CRI in Pashto via Urumqi, S9+5/10 mostly evitable by LSB tuning. Also confirmed Saturday November 23 at 1833 the 1830 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.002-, S9+20 into UTwente. Also confirmed Saturday November 23 at 2030 on WRN North America stream and WRMI webcast only. Also confirmed Saturday November 23 from 2100 the 2030v on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+18 into nearby groundwave SDR; also 2100 on WRN Europe stream. Next: 0000 UT Sunday WTWW 9475 [suspended]; 0100 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 0330vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0415; as late as 0600]; 1130 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy; 2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7570 to NW [or 7780, last 4 weeks]; 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW; 0400vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW; 0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160; 2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW; 1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?]; 2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy; 0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW; 0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975; 2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW; 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S; 1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975. As a noncommercial service, financial support welcome such as a contribution via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZOMBIA. 4940, Nov 23 at 0730 no signal from the 4940 station, nor 24 hours earlier but usually on overnight. Also missing earlier evening Nov 23. Some report this as VENEZUELA, others as COLOMBIA. I think V more likely (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9167-9212 approx., Nov 23 at 0740, very strong multi-carrier, multi-tonal broadband signal, what is this? Same sound heard at 0739 down to 7675, but cut off before I could find the upper limit, tuning down from 7730 WRMI. Listening in AM, it`s more or less a constant pitch tone (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9490, Nov 23 at 0743, open carrier of S6/S8. This is during the English hour from TIBET, but unlikely that. Maybe France, Philippines, Bulgaria, Taiwan, or Turkey testing instead of own far different scheduled hours (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0018 UT November 24 _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
