You can help keep
Encore on the air:
Encore is a one-man
operation. WRMI and Channel 292 are very
generous with their air-time but Encore still
costs around 200 Dollars/Euros a month to
broadcast.
I'm
happy to go on giving my time and such
expertise as I have to the project of
broadcasting classical music on Shortwave - it's
a passion - but need some help with the costs or
Encore will have to stop.
There
is a PayPal donation button now on the homepage
of the website - www.tumbril.co.uk -
which folks can use if they want to. If PayPal
is no good for you then send me an email and
we'll sort something else out.
Thank
you.
Many
thanks to the folks who have donated already -
It's enough to keep going for another 4-5
weeks.
This week's Programme - First broadcast
this coming Saturday by Channel 292 - starts with Energy Flow by the Japanese contemporary
composer Sakamoto. Then we have two of the less
often played pieces from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an
Exhibition.
Next the Benedictus from
Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man, a song from The Pearl
Fishers, a very early trio by Debussy, and some lute
music.
The hour ends with Tawny Rose by Stefania
de Kenessey and part of the Rosamunde Quartet by
Schubert.
Channel 292 can be pulled live
off the internet if the reception is poor in your
location. Easy to find their site with a google
search.
A very
good site for online SDR receivers all over the
world is: http://kiwisdr.com/public/ Click
