it`s S9+20/30 undermodulated. Correlating nicely with good 12 MHz prop
from Cuba: pulse jamming on 12060, S3/S4, 2 x 6030 against Martí but
no trace of victim here; also jam on 11930, see ROMANIA (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** DENMARK. 25800, Feb 24 at 1619, JBA carrier, presumed World Music
Radio. I always check for this direct along with 25900 BBC WOF after
1600, but first time have had any trace; supposedly sked 24/7. BBC no
stronger than usual. Still no trace of also 24/7 WMR on 15700, from
two different sites, 300 or 600 watts (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 15710.102, Feb 24 at 1620, talk in language, S9 direct,
estimated 15710.1; 1625, S9+5/15 into UTwente when measured; it`s ISS
with Sat-only broadcast at 1600 of RMI-brokered Moresh Voice of
Amhara, clandestine for Ethiopia in Amharic; chopoff in progress at
1630*. Something`s always inexact at Issoudun (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA [and non]. 11930, Feb 24 at 0651, RRI English much weaker
than last night, S6/S2 and now bothered by extraneous Cuban jamming
against no Martí. Std remark about never picking a frequency *ever*

programs! 2328 outro segment as `Turkey`s Geomarked [sic] Products`,

restart IS now with German IDs. 0000 Feb 25 still on with TS a few sex
behind understation XJRTV and then the ChiCom anthem, into German

no signal from WTWW-2. Just as I was starting to write this item,
George McClintock called with an update. Has been off the air because
Ted had wired the tuning mechanism backwards; when trying to tune
beyond mid-range, it broke. Will try to tune manually, maybe back on
air tonight. Continental guy has been working on #1 transmitter; says
it is not just repairing but restoring, as *everything* was wrong tnx
to Ted. The Harris #3 transmitter is also being worked on. WORLD OF
RADIO already started airing a week or two ago but at unscheduled

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Feb 24 at
0217-0228: 531?, 684, 693, 774-2, 855-2, 909, 1044, 1053-2, 1089,
1107, 1125, 1314-2. Not a -1 kHz USB offset complete scan, but
one-by-one. -2 means two carriers beating, a common situation from
Spain on 774, 855; one is slow, the other faster. 1314 is unusual;
both Spain and Romania have three medium-powers each (Glenn Hauser,

English, S7/S9 direct, in fact the SSOB = strongest signal on band.
Normally nothing but leftover Cuban jamming against R. Martí, but none
audible now. EiBi shows the only 11930 besides RM at 14-01 is RRI
Galbeni to Europe at 0630-0700; Aoki lax RRI but adds Riyadh, Sa`udi
Arabia in Arabic at 1755-2257. Is that really on air? We could hardly
notice it here vs the Cuban radio war. Std remark about avoiding any
frequency ever jammed by Cuba, tho RRI in luck this time. Aoki also
fails to * Martí as jammed! nor does EiBi show any separate entries
for noise jamming. HFCC nothing but RM and RRI but the latter as N =
DRM! 90 kW 300 degrees from Galbeni: certainly not, this in AM. Not in
drmrx.org either. RRI own B23 English sked shows only two DRM
frequencies elsewhen, not including 11930:

especially enjoy postal mail; as if he were still there. 2310 feature
interview with an expert about the impending 2nd anniversary of

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.005, Feb 23 at 2308, VOT English a JBA
carrier direct vs HLNL. 2333 into UTwente, when measured, S9+30/35,
during `Turkish Folk Tales`; 2337 ``with-you-every-hour`` promo,
music; 2342 ``always-by-your-side`` promo, `That`s Why` voiced by the
badax so I have no idea of the subject; 6CI undercurrent. 2348
``w-y-e-h`` again, music. 2353 s/off for the 1330 broadcast only, 2354
IS; still on at 0000 Feb 24 timesignal, into German. On & on, same
liners/jingles/themes as in English. 0059 recheck *still* on air with
IS, 0100 s/on Luso-Portuguese! Takes about 2 minutes to recite all the
satellite parameters, etc., not copied in detail but with Turkish
times, one at 22h and this one at 04. Supposedly no Portuguese at all,
but someone recently heard them announce 7280 at this time, so now
intentional? Time yes, but nothing on 7280. By 0103 I recheck 5960:
now it`s suddenly off, uncovering Chinese from XJRTV, EAST TURKISTAN,
land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Muslims;
trying to outdo Turkey against the Armenians? 0104 I check 7280 again
and *now* it is on in Portuguese, VG really 7280.006. Somethings`
always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ECUADOR. 6050, Feb 22 at 0225, HCJB reactivated but not enough to
overcome high noise level here. Pardinho Brasil SDR barely gets it,
but sufficient into Mendoza, Argentina, altho fluttery as if
trans-polar instead of merely equatorial. Andean music with
announcements in local language, not Spanish. 0230 s/off in Spanish,
to return at 4:25 am [0925 UT] in Quechua, national anthem: a longer
version than I remembered, the familiar notes in the middle, finished
