** BRAZIL [non]. 4885, Sept 5 at 0628, no signal from R. Clube do
Pará, now nor ever for weeks. Used to be reliable evenings and
overnights. Someone recently reported it after 1100, but I think that
must have been Korean clandestine starting at 1100, which is 3 hours
after sunrise in Belém (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 11780, Sept 3 at 2215, RNA is on at S9+10/20; was not on

been having 11780 transmitter problems (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF
RADIO 2259)

modulation, as too often the case latenight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WTWW: heat exchanger connections --- ``Picture # 1 was the
breaker that fed 240 volts to the heat exchanger directly. The heat
exchanger fans would come on anytime the outdoor temperature got hot
even when the # 2 transmitter was not on. This breaker was put in by
previous persons.

# 2 picture is the new fan connections to the transmitter through
conduit.

# 3 picture is the main blower relay that turns on the blower and
additional wires added to power the heat exchanger fans also, so the
fans come on only when the transmitter is turned on. George
McClintock  9-4-2024``

If anyone want to see the pictures, 3 MB each, I can forward them
individually (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 12195 AM, Sept 5 at 0637, S9+10/20 open carrier,
broadcaster quality but none here of course. Nothing in Klingenfuß
2022; this in UDXF iog might be related:

``Experimental market trader signals - Walt 07/13/23   #110834
I heard that there is a move to the FCC to make high-speed data
channels available for commercial use, mostly stock market bitcoin
type trading.

There is a transmitter site somewhere in the Puget Sound area, maybe
Everett, WA. Since there is an experimental license for wideband data
high power to be located at an old GTE central office building about a
mile from the Everett Boeing aircraft plant.

I have seen them transmitting 24/7 for the last month or two. No
fading, just solid S7 to S9 signal to a G33 receiver with a wellbrook
loop. I am about 30 miles east of Seattle.

TX freqs. in KHz with 60 KHz bandwidth are: 7930, 7980, 10240, 10386,
11090, 12145,
12195,
19535, 19635.

They are on 19635 right now. Oh - 10240 was only used for a few days
over a weekend about a month ago. I have not seen them there any more.
I think they must of gotten a call that Monday from some of our
'friends' and was told to move away from the popular COTHEN channel on
10242 KHz.

I have not worked hard to find the matching receive freqs. And maybe I
will drive around with the SDRPlay and see where they might be
located. In which case I will post. Walt``

I assume this Walt is not Salmaniw. More about this:

** CANADA [non]. Re 24955 USB, CY9C: ``Hi Glenn, Just for your
reference, St. Paul Island is counted as a separate country on the
ARRL Country list as is Sable Island. Bill Smith, Douglas, MA``

Makes no sense to me, but ARRL can create radio countries at will.
Sable, yes, far out in the Atlantic. Wikipedia info:

``Sable Island (French: île de Sable, literally "island of sand") is a
small Canadian island situated 300 km (190 mi) southeast of Halifax,
Nova Scotia, and about 175 km (109 mi) southeast of the closest point
of mainland Nova Scotia in the North Atlantic Ocean.``

``St. Paul Island is a uninhabited island located approximately 24 km
northeast of Cape North on Cape Breton Island and 71 km southwest of
Cape Ray on Newfoundland; it is along the boundary between the Gulf of
St. Lawrence and the Cabot Strait.
Province: Nova Scotia``

Such a ruling would imply any island more than 24 km from mainland,
despite no *political* separation, could be a radio country. How about
Magdalen Islands, further than that? Haida Gwaii? countless other
Arctic situations? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15230, Sept 4 at 0257, S9 of dead air from RHC. 6000 is only
other frequency found, S9+40 at 0306, suptorted English and still no
9700. Somethings always wrong at RHC. The Other Side:

``'The ideological spirit and forces driving regime change in Mexico
are from Havana'
Diego Santana, Madrid 03 Sep 2024 - 17:52 CEST

Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Miguel Díaz-Canel in Havana [caption].
Mexico 'The ideological spirit and forces driving regime change in
Mexico are from Havana' DIARIO DE CUBA talks about relations between
the two countries with Cuban journalist Rubén Cortés, who has been
based in Mexico for more than 20 years. Cubadebate

Relations between Mexico and Cuba, between the governments of Andrés
Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and Miguel Díaz-Canel, have been
particularly intense in recent years, marked by ideological
affinities, the influence of propaganda from Havana in Mexico, and the
economic support that AMLO has provided to the Cuban regime amidst the
unremitting collapse of Cuban society.

In the coming weeks, Mexico will swear in a new president, Claudia
Sheinbaum, heiress to the current ruler, but will relations with
Havana change? DIARIO DE CUBA spoke with the Mexican-based Cuban
journalist Rubén Cortés, with extensive experience in that country's
media, to analyze the current context of bilateral relations, how they
have influenced each other, and how they will do so in the future.

What do you think is Cuba's real level of influence in Mexico today?

Havana is supervising and overseeing the design, structure and
execution of the dismantling of democracy in Mexico, like it did in
Venezuela and Nicaragua, with some variations, depending on local
characteristics...``

** CUBA. 9790, Sept 4 at 0313, CRI English relay S9+20/30 but quite
undermodulated. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Sept 4 at 0635, S9+25/35 of dead air in Spanish from R.
Rebelde - seems like they turn off the mod but not the transmitter
circa 0630. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** ECUADOR. 6050, Sept 4 at 0307, instrumental music S9+10, presumably
HCJB indeed staying on later than 0235*v weekdays, until at least
0500? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11514.92, Sept 4 at 0301, JBA carrier on what was
once the signature off-frequency of pirate Hikari FM, missing for
months, supposedly just across the AZ border in Mexico. Also 11514.9
JBA carrier Sept 4 at 1520. Ron Howard had also been wondering about
him and reports on Sept 3:

``[WOR] Hikari FM (formerly Radio Pushka and later became Radio
Channel Eastern Star/Radio Vostochnaya Zvezda) --- Hi Glenn, Thanks
very much to Gary Pence for the reminder that the pirate Hikari FM has
not been reported for a while now, so perhaps I should resume my
contact with the station to find out what his current plans are. As a
result I emailed the operator of Hikari FM and here is his quick reply:

"Thank you very much for reaching out! Thank you very very much. I
will bring hikari back on, I have brought it on with my old transmitter
on 11.515. I am designing and building a new shortwave transmitter.
Last time my antenna got demolished by careless landscaping
workers. I have rebuilt everything and re-tuned the system which
was lavishly tuned prior. I really want to get a local signal into
California and a (listenable) signal into Japan. SW is definitely my
go to from now on. I cannot get any good coverage locally even with
a 500 watt FM transmitter, my location is horrible for FM, my site is
lower than the average terrain. While I am on the small transmitter I
will run the station 24/7 but when I finish the 100 watt one I am not
sure. I might even relay NHK at some point idk, not sure what the
rules are regarding that. Very Very best regards"

I appreciated receiving his neat eQSL in the past -

Ron, California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935.417-, Sept 4 at 1816, Yemen service with ME
chanting and drumming, soon Arabic exhortations, S9+15/20 into
UTwente. No chirps or other noise (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TAJIKISTAN. 15515, Sept 4 at 0258, unknown language bit, AWR theme,
IDs in English, French, German, Italian. Then English announcement to
stay tuned for ---? chopped to dead air and then off. Something`s
dubious at Dushanbé, S8/9+10 with flutter, peaks stronger than 15230
DA CUBA, so SSOB. EiBi shows 0230-0300 English for BGD = Bangladesh
specifically? And nothing to follow on 15515 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 7275, Sept 4 at 0308, VOT not off the air, VG S9+30/40
INTRUDER to N America during olds by an accented M voice I don`t
recognize, about PKK terrorists. // 6165 thataway is JBA. The previous
repeat airing at 2200 failed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2258 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday
September 3 at 2351 the 2330 on SW Gold Radio, Germany, 3975.001-,
S9/+10.

NOT confirmed Tuesday September 3 at 2330 on WRMI 9395 because that
transmitter is OFF the air; but resumed later.

Confirmed Wednesday September 4 at 1931 on Shortwave Gold Radio,
Germany, 6160, VG into UTwente via timer recording, unmeasured exactly
and 3975 not checked.

Missed checking Wed Sept 4 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490-; anyone hear it?

** U S A. 9455, Sept 3 at 2354, and still Sept 4 at 0312, this WRMI is
OFF. 9395, Sept 3 at 2330, this WRMI is off when WOR should have run,
no signal into GA, IL or OK SDRs, nor Brasília. It`s not propagation;
9955 is S9+25 direct at 2354 and OK to Brasília. 9395 however is back
on by 0312 at S9+20/30 direct. Somethings` odd at Okeechobee (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1110 kHz, Sept 4 at 0654 UT, C2CAM on KFAB Omaha is now
running a hefty 27 seconds behind same on 1100 WTAM Cleveland (GLenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 91.5, Sept 4 at 1920 UT, KSNS Medicine Lodge KS finally
resumed modulation, but somewhat distorted; 1954 anti-abortion screed.
See previous reports (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6925 AM, Sept 4 at 0310, S9+10/20 pirate carrier,
undermodulated talk in unknown language, with pauses, as if 2-way.
Then carrier off and talk remains in USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA [and non]. 24955 USB, Sept 3 at 2219, CY9C, ``QRZ up 5``, a
DXpedition, but where? First noticed on 24960 USB where JR6EZE uttered
nothing but his call fonetikaly over and over. This is surely not a
distinct radio country, but a big deal as an Island. QRZ.com:

** CUBA. 6000, Sept 3 at 0342, RHC English? S9+40 but suptorted and
still no 9700. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 9790, Sept 3 at 0350, CRI English relay is S9/+10 but JBM.
Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Sept 3 at 0654, S9+20/30 of dead air in Spanish from R.
Rebelde. Earlier at 0340 it was nominal. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** HAWAII. 28445 USB, Sept 3 at 2213, working Georgia on the
``Mainland``, therefore must be speaking from Hawaii. No fonetix,
could be AA6V or KH6V, but QRZ.com implies this: ``AH6V Hawaii flag
Hawaii, JEREMY J STORM, PO BOX 21, NINOLE, HI 96773, USA. Ninole
(nee-no-lay) is one of many retired sugar plantation towns along the
north east coast of Hawaii Island. AH6V is inland 4.3 km. and 545 m.
above sea level. This rain forest is best known for birds, bugs,
fungi, wild hogs, amphibians and rain. The temperature here is always
between 12c and 32c. The annual rainfall varies between 4 and 7
meters. Rather damp! ~ 100% POWER FROM THE SUN. ~ AH6V is lost
somewhere in a horse pasture where power line noise can't be heard on
any band`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 1170, Sept 3 at 0703 UT, something Spanish is QRMing KOTV
Tulsa, seemed an ID I could not copy, into Mexmx. The only likely USSS
would be KJJD Windsor CO, but it`s a daytimer. Very likely XERT,
Reynosa, Tamaulipas, 5 kW daytimer which runs 24h, per IRCA Mexican
Log, and I`ve heard it before, March 13, 20 & 22, 2015; December 23,
2014 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NEW ZEALAND. 28228 CW, Sept 3 at 2202, EEEEEEE DE ZL3TEN + more.
Beacon getting to  be regular, from Rolleston, Christchurch. JBA,
requiring multiple passes to copy ID. Then QRM from 28229+ at 2209,
dash and call seemed to start with FF but not listed (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6855 USB, Sept 3 at 0345, rock S9+20/30. Tuning
downward, I knew a bigsig was imminent as it was wideband as far up as
6867. These say Radio 48 via Mix Radio International, between 00 and
05 UT with waterfall ID images:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,133360.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 960 & 100.9, Sept 3 at 0334, still 0442, 0521, 0630 UT,
KGWA Enid in dead air but translator RDS reassures us it`s
``KGWA-FM_`` -- NOT! Rather K265FL. The real FM side of KGWA is 103.1
KOFM. I see that WTFDA DB now marx 100.9 MONO as per my info. ``Cagey
Way`` is not to be outdone by crosstown rival KCRC/KZLS in the Dead
Air Sweepstakes! By nulling 960 on the handheld DX-398 I hear two or
three other talkstations mixing, but could not pull an ID by 0400
after one of them weathered. KGWA 960 has come to life by next check
15 UT. Hey, it`s been a holiday. Think of all the undernourished
Enidians who could have been fed for the cost of all that wasted AM&FM
juice (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.79 & 27224.48 approx., AM, Sept. 3 at 1528, Enid CB
pirate is back with S9 but undermodulated relays of 105.5 K288FX
translator of `K-love`, KYLV 88.9 OKC (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA [and non]. 11935.395, Sept 3 at 1606, Qur`an at
S9+20/25 into UTwente on Yemen service, again with heavy ACI from
11940, which is CRI English this hour only via Kashgar, East
Turkistan, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uighurs and
other Moslems (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 15520 & 15390, Sept 3 at 2158, if it`s Tuesday there must
not be English, but I check REE anyway to find both these OFF the air,
while 17715 & 17855 remain with VG signals. Something`s notright at
Noblejas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, Sept 3 before 2200, no signal direct from VOT, but
then pops on a carrier only S9, fluttery and no modulation. Recheck at
2215, NO signal, so another failed attempt to get English on.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler. So we cannot get their take
on news beyond of Turx attacking Americans; maybe tomorrow on the olds
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15016 USB, Sept 3 at 0642, ``all stations, Abundance, break,
[fonetikaly:] X2BK07, I say again...`` I am not positive the
penultimate character was ``zero``. USAF, strong signal but lousy mod
breaking up somewhat with crowd/office noise in background. Repeated
the alfanumerix a few times, and then the axual message starting with
the same and adding a few more, but not really long as often the case,
I did not try to copy. The `Abundance` ID only heard once, and never
the same again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Reply received Sept 3 for my VOA 6090 DRM report, not heard
again since:

``Hi Glenn, Thanks for the reception information. We were running 6.5
kW pointed south so was surprised that we had enough of a rear lobe
that could be decoded. We are currently running several DRM test to
check propagation for various locales as well as exciter parameters.
At this time, there is not a DRM program scheduled from our station.
Test will be run as time permits. The transmitter is a vintage
Continental 617, 50 kW ISB transmitter that was repurposed for DRM.

Unfortunately, I do  not yet know where the VOA Fulani service on
17630 AM is transmitted from. I will be glad to put you on the list
for a QSL card.

Thanks and best of 73'

** U S A. 9930, Sept 3 at 1535, TOMBS at S9+15/35, 6 seconds behind //
9980 WWCR at S9/+15. So TOMBS hours on WTWW 9930 have expanded
earlier, A24 HFCC registered as available 14-24 at 180 degrees. The
Overkiller! It`s a safe bet that if you can pick up one Tennessee
station, also the other. But if TOM wants to pay for it, take the
money and run it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5010 & 5050, Sept 3 at 0340, these WRMIs are off while they
are supposed to be on - rather as before, 5050 bears a JBA carrier
hard to explain otherwise than a WRMI exciter-only. The other 5s,
5800, 5850 & 5950 are doing fine as normal, and `Freedom Synergy
Radio` on 5800 is still duplicated on 9955. More anomalies on the 9
MHz band at 0349: 9395 S9+30, 9955 S9+20/30 but 9455 abnormally weak,
S8 JBA. Each on a different azimuth but this is beyond that.
Somethings` odd at Okeechobee. However, at 0653 recheck, 5010 is back
on with TOMBS and 9955 in Spanish presumed RFI relay (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1080, Sept 3 at 0655 UT, KRLD Dallas is getting QRM at about
equal level. I keep listening and at 0700 there is a multi-station ID,
most of them FM translators, but could not copy details in rapid
recitation. Only location caught at start is Evansville, so I look it
up later in NRC AM Log to find there is no Evansville IN on 1080.
Instead, must have been *Edwardsville* IL, which is non-commercial
*WRYT, U7 500/20 watts, Heart of Jesus Radio, with CVN/EWTN. NRC Log
shows no translators but reverse lookup in WTFDA FMDB shows two which
are Relay of WRYT-1080: K216DI 91.1 in Harvey ND!, Covenant Network;
and W224DC 92.7 in Caseyville IL with EWTN. On my E/W longwire which
unfavors Dallas to the SSE. U7 is an unusual antenna combination,
meaning 3 different patterns for daytime, nighttime and critical
hours. NRC Pattern Book shows one itty-bitty loop toward the WSW,
favorable for us. radio-locator.com shows all three: daytime and CH at
380 watts aim thisaway, while night pattern does not, pulled in to
protect KRLD but far from a notch. Anyhow, I strongly suspect WRYT was
NOT on night pattern/power. After IDs at 0700, into religious talk
show with hostess, repeat of something which occurs on first Monday of
each month (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1590, Sept 3 at 0707 UT, ``Those Were the Days``, classic
song in English, 0709 brief Spanish! announcement, another classic
song in English, ``What a Wonderful World``. 0711 I copy ``Ambiente
Clásico`` non-ID and a song in Spanish. So it`s WCGO Evanston (think
Chicago!) IL, as previously logged, a strange station which is also
partly in Russian, e.g. Feb 13, 2024, q.v. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. GLOBAL MUSIC is one of my favorite shows, on KUNM
webcast UT Tuesdays 0400-0700. On Sept 3 it`s about ``The Global 500
Greatest Songs of All Time``, playing some and interviewing Alan Tigay
of the blog https://worldlisteningpost.com - check it out. KUNM shows
are in a 2-week archive at kunm.org  I later listened that way to the
third hour, originally a bit too late for me. From the start, select
10 pm MDT Sept 2 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Hauser
** MEXICO. 6185-, Sept 2 at 0635, XEPPM in dead air, or maybe trace of
modulation unless it`s crossmod. Harold Sellers, BC had it modulating
as recently at 0538 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6970 USB, Sept 2 at 0228, S9+10/20 with song. These
say it`s WDOG:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,133332.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6950 USB, Sept 2 at 0229, S9+10/20 music with CW IDs
overlaying every couple minutes, tough to copy but partly DOG RADIO.
It`s OLD DOG RADIO:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,133334.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.86 AM, Sept 2 at 2205, Enid pirate is back relaying
105.5 K288FX, translator of ``K-Love`` KYLV 88.9 OKC, gospel music
undermodulated S9/+20, and // 27224.53 AM, JBM at S9+10. Not heard
since Aug 25 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935.405-, Sept 2 at 1609, Qur`an in Yemen service,
S9+25 into UTwente, but with heavy ACI from 11940 CRI English at
S9+35/45, inescapable even by LSB tuning. But no chirping or other
internal noise now. So resumed offfrequenciness after switch to
11934.999 a biday ago. Wolfgang Bueschel points out that Riyadh has 9
transmitters; so these may be two different ones (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Monday September 2 at 2200, token English from SNR,
VG S9+20/50 direct, also on 17715 & 15520 but 15390 is still AWOL.
Preview topic, a novel based on facts, ``Colonia Dignidad`` in
southern Chile supposed to be wonderful but really a cult like a Nazi
concentration camp headed by one Paul Schafer. That`s all I care to
hear about that. News leads with Far Right advances in German
elexions, today (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.004+, Sunday September 1 at 2207, VOT English not off
the air, S9+60 into UTwente, as Efsun the accentuated is reading the
olds. 2208 `Weekly Analysis` something about Iran and Hezbollah as I
am distracted. 2215 `Letterbox` this time no song before Halil starts.
He`s OK, glad it`s close to September autumn, very lovely. Again it`s
painfully obvious he has not even glanced at the letters before
recording. #1 is from Japan, but can`t read the handwriting for name
but it`s from someone he recognizes from before, in Hiroshima where
it`s rainy, hot and humid. Refers to a July 7 festival of attaching
strips with wishes on bamboo branches, wants another QSL. (I`m
numbering them:) #2 at 2221 from Peter Ng, Johore Bahru, Malaysia
again, report of May 19. Mail is taking a long time. #3 from Spain,
can`t read name, handwriting. #4 Netherlands, Al Vogels?, Dutch SWL
Lima Victor. #5 from Norway, handwritten from Mr Petersa? Host can`t
understand what he is writing about, questioning whether TRT has paid
for rights to broadcast the music? Halil is sure they have. At 2228,
#6 from India 10 July, tnx for QSL, Ahan Banin? wants promo material
to distribute to 317-member club. Even if he gives the name I can only
guess on the spelling, except this one: #7 from Peter Ng again,
reception report of a French broadcast but since he wrote in English
it did not go to French dept. #8 at 2231, ``My Man/Mate``, Alan
Holder, Isle of Wight. Once had a cat. Several topix, can`t read my
scribbles. Germans visit Turkey in Oct, off-season with less crowding,
lower prices. Halil is renting in a building which has only two apts
on each floor, not four. At 2245, #9 from Kerala, wants QSL. 2248, #10
from Massimo Marmonte?, Italy, IZ2493SWL, wants QSL. 2249 time`s up,
goodbye like last week, Amen and song fill until 2252 outro. 2253
headlines by Efsun. 2255 s/off the 1230 broadcast, first notes of IS a
sesquitime before chop at 2255.7*, no finesse (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.005-, Sept 2 at 2158, VOT not off the air, S9+10/20
direct with IS &  ID, seems somewhat undermod and fadery. 2221 into
UTwente when measured, S9+50/55 in `The Energy Agenda` about a
deep-sea drilling ship in the Black Sea discovering lots of natural
gas reserves. 2225 music. 2230 multi-lingual 2-minute ID filler reel.
2232 music. 2236 `That`s Why`, Efsun about the Caspian Sea. 2242
music. 2252 one headline about Israel/Hamas, s/off as if it`s the 1230
on 17620. 2253.7 IS. 2256 restart IS with German IDs. 2300 TS and s/on
German, Alten; 2312 still going. And 2323 the 2-minute multi-lingual
ID filler reel including English. 2330 same theme as `That`s Why` and
about Das Kaspische Meer. Usual alternating with songs like in
Englisch until suddenly chopped off finally at 2347* when the op woke
up. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2258 monitoring: Also confirmed
Sunday September 1 at 2130 on SW Gold Radio, Germany, 3975.003-,
S9/+15 into UTwente.

Also confirmed Sunday September 1 at 2330 on WRMI 7570, S9+20/30 into
Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed UT Monday September 2 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S8/9+10
into Georgia SDR with storm crashes.

Also confirmed UT Monday September 2 from 0300.8 on Area 51 via WBCQ
6160 -72 Hz = 6159.928, S9+10/20 into Georgia SDR, after JL gotta go
and ``contact Scott Becker`` insert; whatever became of him? Larry
Will tells me: ``Scott is alive and well in Kiowa [KS]. He's keeping a
low profile, as always. His family still runs the Plum Thickett Inn
there. Lw``

Also confirmed Monday September 2 from 1931 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
6160.002+ at S9+5/15 and 3975.002+ at S9+10/15 into UTwente. - Next:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WTWW check, 0028 UT Sept 3: 9475 playing song ``Delilah`` so
then PPP can rant about it religiously; 9930 is also on presumably
TOMBS, VG signals direct. At 0121, 9930 had changed to 5920 at S9/+20
into NH SDR (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9955 & 5010, Sept 2 at 0630, these WRMIs are off, prolonging
usual Monday-only anomaly (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Finally a reconfirmation of the off-frequency het I have
been hearing, as first definitely IDed many years ago, still, from Tim
Hall`s review of his recorded DX-pedition logs last year from the
NV/UT Border Inn: ``1240.200 KCRT CO, Trinidad. 10/27 1133 – After
about a decade of chasing this off-frequency carrier on hundreds of
Perseus recordings, I finally caught a nice ID "My 99-3, KCRT." 534
miles, 10 miles short of the current GYDXA record. New, CO #81, GY
#254`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Sept 2 at 0630, RV is still on here with VP signal.
Harold Sellers, BC reports: ``7260, at 0609, Sep. 2, Pacific islands
music. Poor. Had not been audible before 0600. Good by 0645. In
Bislama. 0656 male announcer, IDs, ads and off abruptly before 0659.
Checking 3945 there was a very weak signal there`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
