Ifrikya FM - but propagation is degraded: however, 17855 Spain and
17815 Turkey are JBA. And even unto UTwente at 1615, nothing on 17600.
But by 1738 recheck of UTwente, it`s on with HOA music, 17599.998,
S8/9+5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BOTSWANA. 15579.990+, Sat July 6 at 1550, `Music Time in Africa` on
VOA, the 1505 airing, S9+10/20 into UTwente. One semihour earlier, NO
signal direct, not even JBA carrier. Propagation really degraded;
presumably still operating this site, but VOA long ago dispensed with
any on-air specific site IDs. Casual listener would think they all
come from ``Washington, DC``. Note the offset of this transmitter now,

suddenly surges to S9+20, turned up power? And 3975.003 at S7/S9,
running about 5 words behind 6160 as usual, as truly transmitted, or a

** U S A. 9265, Sat July 6 at 0659, WINB still on with gospel huxter,
S7/S9 direct and steady not usual wobble. 0700 ID and `The Old Rugged
Cross` introducing another g.h. Had not noticed them on so late, but
bimonth-old program sked shows until 0700 on Sat & Sun only, otherwise
-0600*. But now it continues past 0700. And why would they sign-off
the stream earlier? I don`t think before or after 0700 it were really
TOMBS.

BTW, Aoki still shows numerous DRM stretches on WINB from 7330 to
15750, which were canceled months ago! It was never clear what

9665 RVM has been heard on 0645  with -70dbm signal . on 0745 new tune in
9700  i heard  a English station again in Braz kSDR . i think that it is RNZI  with nice binaural reception 
9695  KNLS  on 0705 starting with delayed ID   and then with talks in English heard no ID

In hunter vally:
9670  unIDed with old time songs (50s ) supposedly I thought it was from R292 but no. Jut checked 4835  and found to be in //  this is shortwave Australia !! also on 2310 with -80 dbm max . TDoA  has shown a point in the south of NSW
7290  Nabire has been s/off 0930  today and again7285  is  live and vigorous -80dbm

presidential campaign, striving to be objective, S8/9+5 the SSOB, with
hardly any other 19mb signals except 15770 WRMI. Note: this relay is
rumored to be among those heading for major downsizing if not total
closure. Current sked per EiBi is 0500-0700, 1430-1630(1730 SaSu),
1730-2200. Tho aimed at E Africa, it`s our best chance to hear VOA
English much of these times. If we stop hearing it, that could be a
clue; if we still hear 15580, it still could have been transferred to

** CUBA. 5025, July 5 at 0631, the Dead Air Service of Radio Rebelde

pirate music direct, bet it`s Ball Smacker Radio on extremely reliable

war. 2234 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2236 music. 2240 `That`s Why`,
Ms Badax on why Uranus and Neptune are called gas giants. 2245

in Spanish with Big-Ben chimes to accompany report on Brelexion (Glenn

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` check of WBCQs, July 5 at 2343 into NH SDR:
7490 -67 Hz = 7489.933 S7/9+15 FKB; 6160 -69 Hz = 6159.931 S9/+10
TOMBS; 5130 -69 Hz = 5129.931 S6/9+5 music, switching to FKB // 7490
at 2347; 3265 OFF.

Note how closely the offsets-minus match. Suspect their
frequency-display is miscalibrated and may well believe they are on
.000! I keep listening to 5129.931: at 2359 one-minute-warning tone to
FKB, so he quickly wraps up to an amen. Pause, and Allan on live, then
plays `WTO` theme, interjecting ``76`` at the music-pause-point. 4th
of July was yesterday so this is another live one. Brings up Angela on
phone. 0005 she has to explain Canada Day. But I`m more interested in
Pres. Biden`s interview on ABC TV. Back to BCQ at 0032 to find that
3265.163 is also on, S7/9+10. Yes, at 0042 says trimulcasting. Says he
has been working on rebuilding the old 50 kW Collins transmitter now
running on 5130, which is entirely available for lease. E-mail last
few minutes and prayer, turns it over to her for final legal ID but
her phonevoice breaks up, 0100 Hal Turner. At 0138 I recheck NH when
both 5 and 3 MHz are off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
