** OKLAHOMA. 27184.55 at S9+10 & 27224.875 approx., at S9, July 7 at
0103, open AM carriers from the Enid CB pirate (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. Signs of Es FM DX about on DXMAP, so out to the
car to check, July 7 at 1645 UT: the only unusual is $ Mexmx weakly on
96.5, soon 1646 non-ID as ``Clásicos de ayer ... Éxitos 96.5``, and
more of same at 1703; and 1708 maybe also with ``L-G``? And at 1722
f/in again. That`s the slogan of WOEX Orlando, which I have definitely
heard several times along with other FL stations. BUT:

Searching slogan and 96.5 in WTFDA FMDB gets WOEX and one other hit:
K243BJ, relaying KRXO 107.7 HD OKC, 250-watt translator! Judging
from lack of any other Es, and boosted OKC signals elsewhere, afraid
that`s what I`m getting, not heard before. 96.5 has been with CCI from
KRAV, Mix 96 Tulsa as to be expected, and at 1648, gospel huxter in
English, 1656 outro as ``Hour of Power``, ``The Rock``, Christian
music, paragon.com = KECO Elk City OK; the two fringe OKies.

97.3, July 7 at 1657 UT, outro for service from St. Joseph`s Catholic
Church, in Norman, good solid $ signal, so it`s KKNG-FM, only 1/1 kW,
244 m, Blanchard OK, a station of the OKC Catholix; with tropo boost,
normally inaudible.

91.5, July 7 at 1647 UT, NO signal from KSNS, 0/96 kW, Medicine Lodge
KS, which is normally quite good just across the OK border, must be
off. However at 1714 I get a weak and fadey country gospel signal,
presumably something else, perhaps 100/100 kW KCBK Frederick OK.

100.9, July 7 at 1708, KGWA 960 Enid translator still in mono, but
gospel/rock music on a talk-format station; aberration with Sunday
service running past noon (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, Sat July 6 at 2210, VOT English not off the air,
S9+40/45 into UTwente, repeat commentary about terrorist PKK elexions
in Syria delayed from June to August. 2215 multi-lingual ID filler
reel. 2217 `Turkey`s Geomarked Products` repeat about some dish made
with goat or lamb meat: I still can`t copy the name of it, nor the
locality marked about it. 2220 nothing but song after song, a nice
concert, until 2253 s/off as if on 17620 at 1230, something`s always
awry at Ankara; and IS. 2256 restart IS with German IDs to 2256.6*

any on-air specific site IDs. Casual listener would think they all
come from ``Washington, DC``. Note the offset of this transmitter now,

** U S A. 9265, Sat July 6 at 0659, WINB still on with gospel huxter,
S7/S9 direct and steady not usual wobble. 0700 ID and `The Old Rugged
Cross` introducing another g.h. Had not noticed them on so late, but
bimonth-old program sked shows until 0700 on Sat & Sun only, otherwise
-0600*. But now it continues past 0700. And why would they sign-off
the stream earlier? I don`t think before or after 0700 it were really
TOMBS.

BTW, Aoki still shows numerous DRM stretches on WINB from 7330 to
15750, which were canceled months ago! It was never clear what
programming? was behind that. It was odd DRM, half audio, half data?
